00:00Pro baseball hits leader. If we look at some of the statistics, excuse me, statistics right now,
00:05Otto Lopez, Miami Marlins leads the league with 50 hits here. Ozzie Albee, Shea Langeleers,
00:10Drake Baldwin, Andy Paz is on that list. But the favorite here, Tom, on the Couchy Marketplace to
00:16be the baseball hits leader. Once again, it's Louie Arise here of the San Francisco Giants.
00:20He's currently trading at 29 cents, not the leader now. But how do we see this shaping up,
00:25Tom? And maybe taking a bite out of the apple with some certain players.
00:28You know, frankly, I don't like Arise. I think he's a great hitter, but I just don't like him for
00:33this
00:33market. And a lot has to do with not just the hitter, but also I was taking into account the
00:38lineup. And for me, it really comes down to someone like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. or Drake Baldwin. And I,
00:43you know, I specifically like Drake Baldwin, just because the lineup behind them is so good.
00:47The Giants are inept on offense. And frankly, pitchers can pitch around Arise just because
00:52they don't have to worry about the hitters behind them. With Drake Baldwin hitting one or two,
00:56you have to worry about Acuna once he comes back, Matty Olsen, Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley. The list
01:03goes on and on. The same thing can be said in somewhat capacity about Vladimir Guerrero. So I
01:07would look to one of those two players before going to Louisa Rice.
01:13It feels like now would be the time to invest in Chandler Simpson for the stolen base leader. I mean,
01:21the fact that he's even at 34, 33 cents is kind of interesting because who else? I mean, the guy
01:28gets
01:28on first. It's a triple, Tom. It's not. I mean, it's and he doesn't strike out a lot. He puts
01:33the ball
01:34and played it. This feels to me like hurry up because this could be at least 50 cents by the
01:40time we end the month of May. It really could. And, you know, to your point, not striking out
01:45is a big factor. You know, a lot of people like to look at O'Neal Cruz or Ellie Dela
01:49Cruz, but
01:50the higher strikeout rates does put them behind the eight ball. And, you know, Jose Ramirez, who
01:55leads the league right now, currently in stolen bases, is always a great option. But there's something
01:59about Simpson that if he gets on first, he can get to second and third, which is not something
02:04that every other player can be said. It also comes down to the razor hot, right? They're getting on
02:08base. They're scoring ones. They're constantly producing. And I'm not sold on Nunez on the
02:13Nationals offense where I think their offense will take a step back and it just impacts things top to
02:17bottom. It'll be a trickle down effect. So Simpson's great. Tom and I have done a lot of shows here
02:23on
02:23this network on pro baseball today. And one of the segments we always have fun with are Tom's bombs
02:27here, which includes home runs. Tom is a New York Yankees fan and the leader right now in the
02:32clubhouse is Aaron Judge. Why? Well, he is the leader. 15 home runs so far on this Major League
02:37Baseball season. Tom, if we flip it over to the Kelsey marketplace, he's the favorite by a wide
02:41margin. Currently trading here at 42 cents to the yes contract that he's going to win the title of
02:48home run king. A hundred dollar investment pays back 239. I ask you this question, Tom. I do think
02:53Judge is going to lead Major League Baseball with home runs, but is it just so simple to say
02:56you're going to bet against him because he might get injured, but if he doesn't, he's going to win
03:00it. How do you play this marketplace when he's such a decided favorite, even if you think he just
03:04might win it there? The market is too heavily skewed at this point in the season where, you know,
03:10we're sitting at May 8th right now. I can't have this, or I would say you shouldn't have this type
03:14of position on a player this far out. You know, when we're looking a little bit further down the list,
03:19your Don Alvarez is off to an amazing start and he, and everyone's going to say the same thing. Oh,
03:24if your Don can stay healthy, that's really the only thing holding him back. We don't need to
03:27list the things to go right for your Don. The only fact that we need is for him to stay
03:32healthy. And
03:32the same can be said about Aaron Judge. Same can be said about a lot of these players, but given
03:36where your Don sits in the market, I think he would be my favorite option at this point.
