Teodoro tells China to 'mind own business' after slight on Japan

Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro on May 8, 2026 tells China to 'mind its own business' after it reminded the country of Japan’s occupation of the Philippines. China criticized Japan’s firing of its Type 88 missile during this year’s Balikatan and its alliance with the US and the Philippines. China’s Foreign Minister Lin Jian even labelled Japan as 'aggressor' for supposedly 'failing to reflect on its historical crimes.'
