00:08Plasma was just eliminated, and she had two wins, so I'm, like, kind of glad some competition
00:14is gone. Plasma Leaving says that anybody can go home at any moment, no matter how many
00:19wins you have. It comes down to that final lip sync, and if you don't sell it, you're
00:24going home.
00:26Thank you all for the love, XOXO Plasma.
00:28That lip sync was fucking amazing.
00:31It was fantastic.
00:33I can't believe you flipped in a gown.
00:35In a gown.
00:36In a gown.
00:37I thought you were going to be sent home because you didn't have a wig under your wig, but
00:40it was sickening.
00:42You are the lip sync assassin.
00:45Three for three, Mama.
00:46I am in awe of Maya and kind of wishing that we had got rid of her earlier.
00:51Maybe I shouldn't have helped the bitch.
00:52So how are you feeling?
00:53It's not a good feeling to have the lip sync almost every week, but I'm happy to be
00:59here.
00:59It sucks that I had to send Plasma home because we were actually becoming close friends.
01:04I feel like it's going to get harder and harder for me because the judges are going
01:09to be expecting me to bring more to the table, but I'm a damn good performer.
01:14So watch it, bitches.
01:16Congratulations.
01:17Tequila.
01:18Well, well, well deserved.
01:20Well deserved.
01:21I've been itching for the second win, so I want to keep that momentum going.
01:27It feels like the girls have for me to fall again.
01:36We're down to seven girls.
01:38When you walked in with your six new sisters, did you expect these to be the ones that you
01:43saw getting towards the end?
01:44I definitely saw Nathia in playing.
01:46I saw Sephira Q from my group, for sure.
01:50What the fuck does that mean?
01:51Oh my God.
01:52I'm sorry.
01:53Dawn, yes.
01:54You too.
01:54You too.
01:55I've been doing great in this competition.
01:57It is just a matter of figuring out how the fuck to have a win.
02:03I saw it being Sephira and Q as well.
02:05And Toonami, but here you are.
02:09Morphine and Dawn are the only two girls that don't have wins now, and the pressure is honestly
02:14getting to both of those girls.
02:15I'm really frustrated that I haven't even been in the top.
02:18Bitch, I want to win, you know?
02:20But hopefully there's not going to be any more sewing challenges.
02:23Imagine it's a sewing challenge to get into the finale.
02:25Let's do it.
02:27Walking out.
02:28She said walking out.
02:29She's walking out.
02:31You might not have Sephira to make your dress for you that time.
02:34Well, I have a good mind.
02:35I'm not slow, you know, like you.
02:38But, I mean, I still did these intricate things, baby.
02:40You wore that little simple dress.
02:41I mean, if we're going to talk about execution, I executed.
02:44I would say the Morphine versus Bio-Epsy.
02:48If my name was called today to lip sync, I would have gotten a scissor and cut my dress
02:51because I was not going to let that bitch send me home.
02:53You still going to go home, whether it's cut or not.
02:56I mean, I'm feeling the tension because I'm sitting right next to these motherfuckers.
03:00I'm like, scary.
03:02Is this what you do in Miami?
03:03That's a lot.
03:04The Miami girls aren't friends.
03:07Baby, one thing about me I don't play when it comes to a performance in a lip sync.
03:11I mean, you cute when you home, so I don't know what you're going to do here.
03:16On that note, you are!
03:20The stakes are higher than ever.
03:22And I'm over it.
03:23I need to win already.
03:24Do you think it's going to be a New York girl who leaves next week?
03:27Hope so.
03:27Well, I know it's not going to be me.
03:29People can't tell, but I can perform.
03:31Yes, so can I.
03:35When a drag queen has presents, it's over.
03:37And that's something that I know I have, I'm very confident in.
03:40So this week, I'm going to win the hearts of the judges because I'm not going down without a fight.
03:48The winner of RuPaul's Drag Race receives a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics
03:53and a gag-worthy grand prize of $200,000.
03:57Served by Cash App with extra special guest judge Jamal Sims.
04:11It's a new week in the workroom and there's so much space for me to twirl.
04:16I can finally get a word in.
04:18No one talking over you.
04:20My ears are rested.
04:22Good morning girls.
04:24Good morning.
04:25Good morning.
04:25Good morning.
04:26I have to say, I have to tell you guys one thing.
04:28Yes.
04:28What's up?
04:29I've started having dreams about you guys.
04:32Oh no!
04:33Are they sex dreams?
04:34Which one of us are you fucking?
04:35Maybe I shouldn't say dreams, I should say nightmares.
04:38I definitely am thinking constantly about my sisters in sometimes ways that I don't want to be.
04:44Any one in particular?
04:46No one.
04:47No.
04:48No.
04:48No.
04:50No!
04:55She's all ready to have her.
04:58They're so tall.
04:59Do it!
05:00My queens.
05:02Hey girl!
05:02America's Next Drag Superstar can use her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to inspire
05:08the people, especially when it's funky.
05:11Ooh!
05:12So, step to the beat and save the country.
05:21Hello, hello, hello!
05:25I love that suit.
05:26I love that suit.
05:27Lady Kim!
05:28Hey!
05:29Throughout history, drag queens have been on the front lines of social change.
05:34That's right.
05:35Amen.
05:35And this election year, the most important thing we can all do is vote.
05:39Yes, ma'am.
05:40Absolutely.
05:41But, you can't just tell people to vote.
05:43You have to inspire them to feel the need.
05:47So, for this week's Maxi Challenge, you've got to dig deep and let your voice be heard
05:53in the inspirational anthem, Power.
05:58First, you'll write a solo verse about what matters to you as a drag queen living in the USA.
06:05Yes.
06:07I think it's a very interesting layer to the challenge.
06:11It's not just being cunty fierce, it's a get out and vote, make your voice heard anthem.
06:16Next, you'll record your vocals with Power composers Leland and Freddie Scott.
06:22Ooh!
06:24Then, you will exercise your right to shake your groove thing with choreographer Jamal Sims.
06:31Yeah!
06:32Jamal Sims!
06:33Woo!
06:34Baby, I just did James Brown in the Snatch Game, and I can't wait to get down and be funky.
06:39I feel another wind coming.
06:41And, ladies, here is the best part.
06:43The song, Power, will be featured live on stage as part of the Work the World Tour.
06:50I brought the tracks, now you bring the power.
06:55We will.
06:56This song will be featured live on stage for the Work the World Tour, which is so exciting.
07:02This challenge incorporates performance skills, dancing and lip syncing.
07:06I'm confident because I eat at everything I do, so there's no way I could fuck this up.
07:09Razors, start your inches, and may the best drag queen win.
07:18Let's listen to this thing.
07:19All right!
07:20Hey, hey.
07:21Oh, it's funky.
07:22I feel like Wendy Williams.
07:25The song, Power, is about getting everybody to vote, getting everybody to wake up, and fight for our power.
07:31Sister, I don't know how I'm supposed to write about voting when my whore self wants to come out.
07:34I have creative juices.
07:35I'm gonna start writing.
07:37Well, you should.
07:38Plank still has that damn immunity potion, and the immunity is going to expire this week.
07:43So, I'm going to give her a nice massage, bring her her breakfast to bed.
07:48I'm gonna do whatever it takes just in case I'm in the bottom again.
07:51You know that episode of Spongebob when he took five hours just to write that?
07:55Is that what you feel like?
07:56You definitely look like Spongebob, honey.
07:58You're definitely the Spongebob of the cast.
08:00Blah, blah, blah.
08:00You're handsome Squidward.
08:01I am.
08:02We're two Spongebob characters, honey.
08:04Who's the Patrick star?
08:05My amount of age.
08:08He's so shady.
08:09Pressure's on for you, girl.
08:10You gotta make Miami proud because I don't know if you-
08:13Because Maya's not doing it.
08:15Huh?
08:15I didn't say it.
08:16Hey, y'all.
08:17It was Morphine.
08:18Morphine said something.
08:19What happened with Maya?
08:19You had to beat her.
08:20You just like to run that mouth, Miss Morphine.
08:22Q, you might need that immunity potion today.
08:24There's a dance challenge, Q.
08:25And guess what?
08:26Last dance challenge on the bottom because I made an outfit that sucked.
08:29Well, listen, how about you stay in time this time, Miss Rusicalbottom?
08:33Ooh.
08:34Morphine is like so thirsty for a win.
08:37She's getting a little sensitive about anybody that pokes fun that, you know, she hasn't exactly made her mark here
08:42yet.
08:42No one is safe, honey.
08:44Nobody is safe.
08:45You scared you have like some lyrics that you're playing around with?
08:47I'm gonna try and bring in a little bit of like national anthems into this.
08:51In the black community, we have what's called the Negro National Anthem, which is called Lift Every Voice and Sing.
08:56You might have heard it.
08:57Lift every voice and sing till earth and heaven ring.
09:03Lift every voice and sing is the Negro National Anthem.
09:05It is a beautiful song.
09:07It's about lifting every voice to get equality for everyone.
09:12Being black in America, it's just like really gives you a sense of community, a sense of pride.
09:20So I'm gonna try and lift every voice.
09:22No, I like that.
09:23I do like that vibe.
09:24Miss Maya, you won the last little writing song challenge.
09:28You think you're gonna take home another challenge win?
09:30I mean, I'm hoping so.
09:31I consider myself as a fake rapper or whatever.
09:34I'm excited because I love to dance, of course, and I'm good when it comes to writing lyrics.
09:39What I'm singing is living in a country where all rights should be equal.
09:43Just because I'm gay don't make me less equal.
09:46And then I start rapping after that.
09:49Maya, you just rhymed equal with equal.
09:51What are you doing?
09:52Maybe if I heard you singing it, it would be different.
09:55Just imagine them just calling me out as the winner of the challenge and I could watch everyone lip sing.
09:59That would be different from all the other weeks long.
10:08You're like writing, writing.
10:09It's really easy to talk about all the things that you're good at in a verse.
10:14But this is very different and I'm really spending a lot of time and trying to consider what do I
10:19think my power is.
10:20To me, power is overcoming your trauma and your hurt and healing your inner child.
10:27Because once you're able to do that, that's when you're really able to help the world.
10:31That kind of thing.
10:32That's cute.
10:32Okay, I need to be blessed by some sort of song god.
10:35Where is Megami, my ghostwriter?
10:37For the girl group, you didn't write your lyrics.
10:40I told Megami, I was thinking about singing about this and Megami put it into words for me.
10:44Okay, well she's not here now.
10:46So you're Megami?
10:47No, I don't know about that.
10:49She mentions that Megami wrote her entire lyrics last time, so she's having a little trouble.
10:53And I realized that I think I might have a bit of a curse going on at the moment because
10:57this is now the fourth time that I've been positioned next to someone who is freaking out about a challenge.
11:08Still empty.
11:11Inspiration.
11:11Like, come to me.
11:14Give me your pet.
11:15Leave me alone.
11:16I'm not a part of this.
11:18What rhymes with yellow?
11:19Fellow, fellow.
11:21Fellow, mellow, bellow, hello, jello, marshmallow.
11:24Don't be a marshmallow.
11:26Stand up and vote yellow.
11:30She wrote Nymphia Wind.
11:32There's a wind coming.
11:34Girl, the wind is your elimination, aren't you kidding?
11:37Evil.
11:38I learned a lip sync song.
11:39No, Nymphia.
11:40I need a miracle.
11:42Oh my god.
11:43Let's roll.
11:48Hello.
11:49Welcome.
11:50Welcome.
11:50It's time to do our recording session with Leland and I feel like Beyonce.
11:55I feel like I'm going to go record a hit smash song.
11:58I'm Leland.
11:59This is Freddie Scott and we are the composers of Power.
12:02Hi.
12:03This song is all about empowerment.
12:05So I want to hear you deliver your message.
12:08Y'all ready?
12:09Yes.
12:10Great.
12:10All right.
12:11First up, Morphine Love Dion.
12:13Welcome.
12:14Hello.
12:14How are you feeling about your verse?
12:16I really like my verse.
12:18It's all about like the drag bands happening, but giving you a little cunt flair.
12:21Okay.
12:21Amazing.
12:22So let's see what we're working with.
12:24Okay.
12:24Let's do it.
12:24I'm excited.
12:25Got my face in the hot time.
12:27I got that beat, that desire.
12:29I got that ballot to write on.
12:31They try to take all our power.
12:32Morphine verse is cute.
12:34It's bumpy.
12:34It's fun.
12:35To be honest, I don't know what she's saying, but I heard ballot.
12:39So I think that she's at least telling people to vote.
12:41So that's good.
12:42We're already almost there.
12:43So really just own it.
12:45Here we go.
12:46I got that drag that they ban on.
12:48I got that skin with the armor.
12:50I got that ballot to write on.
12:51They know they can't take our power.
12:53That was wonderful.
12:55Yay.
12:55Potentially a show stopping verse.
12:57Bitch, I'm going to be a songwriter after all, honey.
13:00Living in a country where our rights should be equal.
13:03Just because I'm gay don't make me less equal.
13:09Normally, as songwriters, I would be a stickler for rhyming equal with equal.
13:14But it's such a choice, but you have to sell it.
13:16Otherwise it comes across as like lazy songwriting.
13:19Right.
13:19You know, but you have to say, just because I'm gay don't make me less equal.
13:23Like make me think you're going to say another word and then say equal again.
13:27Okay.
13:28You have set yourself up to have a really funny moment that people are not going to be expecting.
13:32So double down on that moment.
13:34Okay.
13:34All right.
13:35Yeah.
13:35Let's try it again.
13:35Living in a country where our rights should be equal.
13:39Just because I'm gay don't make me less equal.
13:42Take the chance.
13:44Shit.
13:45Tap that word and keep it moving.
13:46Yeah.
13:47Let's grab it again.
13:48Just because I'm gay don't make me less equal.
13:52Poor Maya.
13:53I mean, wow.
13:54Girl.
13:54Just because I'm gay don't make me less equal.
14:00I mean, maybe Maya would have had a better song if Safira wrote it for her.
14:04Ooh.
14:04I'm sorry.
14:05I'm sorry.
14:07We've got power.
14:09Being true to love always make them cower.
14:11Writing our lives won't stop our wiles.
14:13Healing up our inner child.
14:14Dawn sounds very interesting.
14:16So bear so don't bear their shame.
14:17It seems like she's having fun up there.
14:19And I'm glad that Dawn is having fun on what could potentially be her last week here.
14:24Can you try wrapping everything for me?
14:26Yeah, absolutely.
14:26Let's go for it.
14:27We've got power.
14:28Being true to love always makes them cower.
14:30That already feels so much better.
14:32Okay.
14:32I'm grateful to that man.
14:33Because I went out on a limb.
14:34And I'm just glad that there's someone else to say that limb is going to break.
14:38Mamas.
14:38Don't.
14:39Let's climb back down the tree.
14:41Okay.
14:42The ignorance is strong so we gotta flex.
14:45Spreading the love like I'm spreading my legs.
14:47All good.
14:48But you see where that's going?
14:49Spreading the love like I'm spreading my legs.
14:51Make that a moment.
14:52Okay.
14:53Here we go.
14:53Yeah, I got the power and I'mma have to use it.
14:55They come for-
14:57Sorry, sorry.
14:58Spreading the love like I'm-
14:59Spreading the love like I'm-
15:00Spreading the love like I'm-
15:01Ugh.
15:02This is hard.
15:02Ignorance is strong so we gotta flex and we spread the love like I'm spreading my legs.
15:06I was so confident going into this and now I'm starting to get in my head a little bit.
15:11I'm like focusing a little more on breath control than I-
15:13That I should be.
15:14Get rid of that.
15:15Okay.
15:16Be in this moment.
15:16Throw some Jennifer Coolidge on that line.
15:18Spreading the love.
15:19Spreading the love.
15:19Okay.
15:20Yes.
15:20Spreading the love like I'm spreading my legs.
15:22Great.
15:23I don't understand a word plain Jane is saying.
15:26I hear da da da da da da da da.
15:27Spread my legs.
15:28I'm not exactly sure how that is getting people to come out to the polls.
15:32Maybe the stripper polls.
15:34Big juicy tits.
15:35Uh.
15:37Hi.
15:38Hello, Nymphia Wind.
15:39How are you?
15:40I am super nervous but we're here to have fun.
15:43There is no reason to be nervous.
15:44You are a ray of sunshine.
15:46Okay.
15:47On the main stage right now.
15:48I will channel that into the song.
15:49Yes.
15:50Take your moment, whatever you need to do.
15:53Ooh, it's getting windy.
15:56Fire to community.
15:59You better get that power within your flower.
16:01Have a seat at the table when you vote yellow.
16:04It's pretty obvious that she didn't have a ghostwriter this time.
16:07Just because this verse has less lyric doesn't mean it's any less impactful.
16:13Yeah.
16:13You have the opportunity to make each word a moment.
16:17Okay.
16:18So that's where I want you to go with this.
16:20Here we go.
16:21Do not ban my beauty.
16:24You better get that power within your flower.
16:26Have a seat at the table.
16:28That's alright.
16:29That's alright.
16:30Oh my god.
16:32You better get that power within your flower.
16:35Um.
16:36Let's grab that one more time.
16:37Okay.
16:37Think about the seniority portion.
16:39I'm like, I don't want to give it to anybody.
16:41I want...
16:41Don't then.
16:43But you have to do something.
16:44I know.
16:44Ooh, it's getting windy.
16:46I don't want to save somebody.
16:47Especially somebody like Nafia who does so well in like design-based challenges.
16:51Like, what if there's something like that in the future?
16:54Yeah.
16:54Do not ban my beauty.
16:57Do you know what you could do?
16:58This would be so evil.
16:59I'm open to suggestions.
17:01Tell her you're gonna.
17:02Pretend tell her.
17:04That's so shady!
17:06I finally relaxed.
17:07Good.
17:08Okay, good.
17:09Okay, good.
17:10Yeah.
17:10Ow!
17:11Let's go!
17:12I am American.
17:13Bleed red, white, and blue.
17:15I got the freedom to love with so much love for you.
17:24Hey, ha!
17:25Honey, that's gonna get me up at my house.
17:27Your tone is so beautiful and rich and amazing.
17:30And also, you can do a lot of different things.
17:33It's so much fun.
17:33Oh!
17:34I'm so excited.
17:35Up next is Q.
17:38I think Safira is my biggest competition in this challenge.
17:40So I'm going to play a lot more with my range, my vocal range,
17:44and like really turn something out that makes people want to get up and vote.
17:48Do you have a singing background?
17:50Yeah, yeah.
17:50I grew up in theater, did musical theater every once in a while.
17:52Amazing.
17:52I would say I'm like where I carry, but I can carry a tune.
17:56That's all we need.
17:57So let's get this chorus and let's focus on just singing big, long, high notes.
18:01Okay.
18:02One, two, three, four.
18:04We got the power.
18:06No!
18:09Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
18:10Yeah, I'm ready for my power.
18:13Ooh!
18:15Wow!
18:16Hey, ho, oh, oh!
18:19The energy is there.
18:20All I want from you right now is a big long note.
18:23Go for it.
18:23Oh!
18:25Oh!
18:25All gimme a .
18:29Oh!
18:33You know that sound when Nails hit a chalkboard and it's like oh!
18:39Oh!
18:40Oh!
18:40Ow!
18:41Ow!
18:42Yikes, sister.
18:43Yikes.
18:44She's in trouble.
18:46Not ready for my power, bitch.
18:51Hello.
18:52Hey.
18:52Hey, y'all.
18:54Looking sharp.
18:55Woo.
18:55It is time to learn choreography with Jamal.
18:58I'm here to make sure that your dance moves are equally as
19:01powerful as your lyrics.
19:02We don't have a lot of time.
19:03You guys ready?
19:04Yeah.
19:05Let's do it.
19:05He's got his nice smile.
19:07His eyes are so beautiful.
19:08I don't know how I'm going to focus on these steps.
19:10But he also reminds me of my cousin, so I think I'll be fine.
19:14My footwork is and one and two.
19:17Ooh.
19:18So we're going to go and swing.
19:21Ooh.
19:22What?
19:22Hey.
19:27This is hard.
19:29I saw you add a little pump.
19:30I'm not mad at it.
19:31You're trying to make it do what it is.
19:31All right.
19:32Come on, audition.
19:32Saphira is an all-around funky queen.
19:35I might have to throw some pearls or something.
19:38Q.
19:39Do you have any moves?
19:41Um, I can do something.
19:44Uh-huh.
19:44Hey.
19:46A lot of this is about commitment.
19:48Yeah.
19:48And if you're committed, the audience is going to feel committed.
19:51Oh, I'm not scared at all.
19:52I'm ready to go for it.
19:53I'm not a dancer.
19:54I can't go into this challenge like I do a design challenge.
19:57But you know, I'm going to try to funk this shit up.
20:00We're going to go.
20:01Roll, pop, roll, pop.
20:04So it's roll, hit it, smack it.
20:06A little bit of like a plié.
20:08Yep, yep.
20:08Bah.
20:09Q has Barbie hands.
20:10Have we all noticed this?
20:12You know how Barbie's hands are like stuck so they can hold their purse or whatever?
20:15She's definitely moving.
20:17I don't know if she's grooving.
20:18So it's just like rock?
20:19Yep.
20:20Five, six, seven, eight.
20:23Baby is stiff as a board, but she doesn't give up.
20:27It should feel like it comes from the puss.
20:30That's what I'm looking for.
20:31Although Q is our least dancer-y girl, there's confidence in her.
20:37And sometimes confidence can take you a long way.
20:40From the top, we're going to rock.
20:42And it's just going to go one, two, three, four.
20:46Bend those knees.
20:48Now this is where the funk is going to come in.
20:50We're going to go five and six and seven and eight.
20:54Ooh, all right.
20:55Go one, two, three, four, five and six and seven and eight.
21:00All these girls like to talk about how I can't dance.
21:03Mama, I'm not exactly seeing Dancing with the Stars up here.
21:06Right now, it feels very up straight.
21:08You want to bend your knees, low, rock the hips.
21:11There you go.
21:12There you go.
21:13Ooh, Miss Dawn, Miss Dawn, Miss Dawn, Miss Dawn, Miss Dawn.
21:17It's not very funky.
21:19It's very funky.
21:21One, two, three, four, five and a six and a seven and eight.
21:25Right now, the shoulder's going like this.
21:28But now just hold on to your core.
21:30Okay.
21:31Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba.
21:32Five and a six and a seven and eight.
21:35Almost.
21:36They'll shoulders.
21:36You got to lose those shoulders.
21:38Yes, I will.
21:39Let's try with music.
21:42Hey, hey.
21:44One, two, three.
21:45I just realized what she was wearing.
21:46What the fuck is she wearing?
21:49Nifia says she's a dancer, but what Jamal is showing her is very one, two, three.
21:53One, two, three.
21:57And she's not hitting those marks.
21:59Dun, dun, dun, dun.
22:00Okay.
22:02You're going to show me your funky power move.
22:06Hey, hey, hey.
22:11The bitch just starts flipping.
22:12I mean, that's not what he asked you, girl, but okay.
22:15Oh, all right.
22:16So you got legs and tricks, huh?
22:18Yeah.
22:19I think the flips are the only weapon that Maya could use, to be honest.
22:24We're going to go one and two and three and four.
22:27It's a little giddy up.
22:28Hey, hey.
22:29There you go.
22:29One more time.
22:30Five, six, seven.
22:31Let's go.
22:32And one and two and three and four.
22:34From here, we'll rock five, six.
22:37There you go.
22:38One more time.
22:39But Maya starts doing kind of a good job.
22:42Hey, hey, hey.
22:43And whoop.
22:44Which, ugh.
22:45My God.
22:46Why?
22:49Morphine.
22:49Come on, walk.
22:51Ready.
22:52So are you a dancer?
22:53Yeah, I'm a dancer a little bit.
22:54I can do whatever you want to teach me.
22:55Let's go then.
22:56Yeah.
22:57Ooh.
22:57She can do whatever you want to teach me.
23:00Ooh.
23:01Don't say that, morphine.
23:02You might shoot yourself in the foot.
23:04You're going to start.
23:05One, two, three, four.
23:07And the head should go.
23:09Think of your head going back.
23:11Right?
23:12One, two, three, four.
23:14Come on, chicken head.
23:16What?
23:19Whoop.
23:20Whoop.
23:20Whoop.
23:21Whoop.
23:21I love myself.
23:22She's so goofy.
23:23The head's a weird a little bit.
23:24Almost, yeah.
23:25It's a groove.
23:26It's cool.
23:27It's funky.
23:28It's uh, it's ah.
23:30Everything is back.
23:31If you go forward, you have to different grooves.
23:33Yeah.
23:34Right?
23:35One thing I will do is fix this chicken movement that I'm doing.
23:38because if I need a win, I need a win, honey.
23:42I used to dance when I was younger.
23:43I used to be a ballroom dancer.
23:45Okay.
23:45So, you know, I could give you a little bit of, like, a lock step.
23:47Uh-huh.
23:48And I have, like, a little fluidity in my hips.
23:50Okay.
23:50Your section happens to be a little fast.
23:54Okay.
23:54I don't want it to scare you.
23:55Okay.
23:56But you're gonna kick one and two and three and four.
24:01Shit.
24:01Yes.
24:03Shit.
24:04So you can watch me do it.
24:05All right.
24:05I'm just gonna go one and two and three and four.
24:09Man.
24:10One and two and three and four.
24:12Almost.
24:13And four is missing.
24:14So it's like one and two and three and four.
24:17Shit.
24:18Wait.
24:19An eight and one and two and almost.
24:24Five, six, seven, eight, go kick.
24:27Shit.
24:27Already fucked up.
24:28That's okay.
24:29Plain Jane is in her head and it's never good.
24:32You have to get out of your head.
24:33Five, six, seven, eight, kick.
24:36One and two and three.
24:37Literally, you went a little ahead of it.
24:39Okay.
24:40Plain lives in a place of delusion that doesn't allow for her to think anything less of herself,
24:45which I love.
24:46However, this is funk.
24:49And you can't fake the funk.
24:50One and two and three and four.
24:52Based off that rehearsal, Plain needs to have a new in person today.
24:58Excuse me.
25:00Let's go.
25:01Let's go.
25:02Today, we'll be performing the new drag anthem power in front of Rue, Jamal, and the rest
25:06of the judges.
25:06I'm ready to funk it up, honey.
25:10How are you feeling, girl, about this challenge?
25:13I say this every week.
25:14Yeah.
25:14But this time, I feel like this is the one where I'm going to be in the top.
25:17Oh.
25:17She's feeling confident today.
25:19Yeah.
25:19Don't you, would you agree?
25:21That this is the one where you're going to be in the top?
25:23I don't know if I'd go that far.
25:25Wow.
25:26Yeah.
25:27How are you feeling, Plain?
25:27Well, you know, I'm going to kill the challenge.
25:30I don't need to say it.
25:31It's just a feeling that I'm embodying and I'm living in it.
25:34I thought you were a little bit during the rehearsal.
25:35You were stirring a little bit rickety bones, mama.
25:39Honey, I may be giving you rickety bones out of drag, but in drag, honey, it's the full
25:43fantasy.
25:44Plain is a thousand percent overly confident to a point where it's reaching delusion.
25:48I'll let her be high in the clouds because once that balloon pops, she's going to be
25:53on the floor and we're all going to be laughing at you.
25:58This challenge has been a bit of a emotional roller coaster for me.
26:03Oh, wow.
26:03Yeah.
26:04I wrote a lot of my verses about like being in therapy and healing your inner child.
26:08And it's brought up a lot of feelings of like the way that mental health has kind of shaped
26:13my life.
26:14In the words of my therapist, I have general anxiety disorder, depressive tendencies, severe
26:19and acute OCD and ADHD.
26:22I think it's so powerful to like understand that it's okay to like be imperfect.
26:25It's okay to grow and it's okay to like ask for help because I think that a lot of people
26:30are like, no, I'm fine.
26:31And I don't want like medication.
26:33And it's like, okay, like being born with a certain set of chemicals and a precondition
26:37for neuroses.
26:39Like if anything, I think it makes you more powerful.
26:41Like to really face them, you know?
26:42Yeah.
26:43Mental illness doesn't go away, but being able to talk to a therapist allows me to navigate
26:48the world in a way to where it doesn't have to feel so painful.
26:51We need to feel those negative emotions, but it's about being able to move through life
26:54with them.
26:55It's a shitty thing to deal with, but it's made me who I am.
26:58So I'm proud of it.
27:00I actually should.
27:05Plain Jane.
27:06Yeah.
27:06You know how beautiful I think you are, right?
27:08Oh my God.
27:09So are you feeling worried about your, you know, underwhelming verse?
27:13No, I'm just very thirsty.
27:15I'm so thirsty for juices from you.
27:18Oh, okay.
27:19So this immunity potion is about to expire today.
27:23And of course, Nymphaia is yet again pleading and begging for a sip of that immunity.
27:27And honestly, I don't blame her.
27:29Do you think you're feeling generous today?
27:32Well, I don't know, sister.
27:33We're week two sisters.
27:35You have to be loyal to your group.
27:37Right.
27:38We'll see, girl.
27:39Time will tell.
27:40Shady girl.
27:42Plain doesn't look like she wants to give the potion to anybody.
27:44I don't think Plain wants to give it to Nymphaia specifically.
27:46I think Plain would rather dump it in the garbage than give it to Nymphaia.
27:51So what do you guys think about like the importance of like voting,
27:54like especially like the political climate of the country right now?
27:56More important than ever.
27:57I feel like to a lot of people voting is just like, who is your presidential candidate,
28:01right?
28:01Yeah.
28:02But that is not everything that matters.
28:04Especially when the local governments are the ones that are kind of like robbing people
28:07of their ability to vote.
28:08So if we don't vote at local levels, then it won't matter because they won't be able to
28:13have a voice.
28:14Amen.
28:14Are y'all up on your like local representatives?
28:17Yeah.
28:18I think it's important to know who is on the ballot.
28:20Right.
28:20Get to know who's doing what and what they're known for.
28:22Because it matters a lot.
28:24Yeah.
28:25This shit's getting real and we need to get out there and vote.
28:27If these candidates that are trying to limit human rights stop winning their elections,
28:32then maybe they'll stop running.
28:33One of the reasons why they keep winning is because they vote.
28:37And that's the problem with our community.
28:38Our community gets overwhelmed and they're like, oh, I can't do it.
28:41And then they don't vote.
28:42And then they get mad about what happened.
28:44And it's like, well, did you vote?
28:45No.
28:46The reality that queer Americans are facing is that as safe as we thought we were, we're
28:51not nearly as safe.
28:52You cannot be apathetic in any way, shape or form.
28:55So we need to stand up and gather all of our supporters and our allies and use our power
29:01to vote.
29:17have a girl
29:19Put the base in your wall
29:21Head to toe
29:23That's your whole body tough
29:24She is feeling it.
29:28Welcome to the main stage of RuPaul's Drag Race.
29:31It's power top Michelle Visage.
29:34Actually, Ru, I'm verse.
29:36As in Versace.
29:40Ross Matthews, now what's your special power?
29:43I can swallow a bottomless mimosa in a single gulp.
29:46With your mouth?
29:48I didn't say that.
29:50And welcome the mayor of Funky Town, Jamal Simms.
29:55Tonight, we are one nation under a groove.
29:58Oh, right.
29:58A bonnie-gonnie, brother.
30:01This week, we challenge our queens to inspire we the people with the drag anthem, Power.
30:07Racers, start your engines.
30:09And may the best drag queen win.
30:12And now, the world debut of Power.
30:20And we have a PR.
30:22And I'm ready for my power.
30:26Y'all ready for a therapy session?
30:28Here we go.
30:30We've got power.
30:32Being true to love will always make them cower.
30:34Right enough laws don't stop our wilds.
30:36Hailing up our inner child.
30:37No, I cannot be tamed.
30:39So bear yourself, don't bear their shame.
30:40Connect, use your privilege, make a change.
30:42It takes a village that child in you can put up a fight too.
30:44V-O-T-E
30:47Living in a country where our rights should be equal.
30:51Just because I'm gay don't make me less equal.
30:55Let's take a chance to make a difference.
30:57We got the power.
30:58Let's use our voices.
30:59Don't let them win.
30:59Let's keep it going.
31:00Martin Luther King, I have a dream.
31:05I got my faith in the front lines.
31:07I got that heat that inspires.
31:09I got my space in the hard times.
31:11I got that beat that desire.
31:13I got that drag that they've been on.
31:15I got that skin with the armor.
31:16I got that ballot to write on.
31:18They know they can't take our power.
31:20Y'all better get up and mother tuck and vote
31:22because it's getting serious up in here.
31:24I got the power.
31:25And I know how to use it.
31:27I got the power.
31:29And I know I ain't gonna lose it.
31:31I got the power.
31:33Now watch your flex.
31:35I got the power.
31:36Bitch, what did you expect?
31:38Come on.
31:41You're not ready for my power.
31:49You're not ready for my power.
31:53Ooh, it's getting windy.
31:56Fire to community.
32:00Nymphia.
32:01For equality.
32:03Do not ban my beauty.
32:07You better get that power within your flower.
32:09Have a seat at the table when you vote yellow.
32:11Oh, it's a shame if you're nasty.
32:14Yeah, I've got the power.
32:15And I'm gonna have to use it.
32:16They're coming for freedom.
32:17And bitch, I'm gonna lose it.
32:18The ignorance is strong.
32:19So we gotta flex.
32:20Spreading the love.
32:20Like I'm spreading my legs.
32:22Drag it up and fight for what's right.
32:23No great battle can be beaten overnight.
32:25So move to the beat.
32:26And tell hate to kick rocks.
32:27And if you're at the post, you can catch this box.
32:32I got the power.
32:34And I know how to use it.
32:36I got the power.
32:37And I know I ain't gonna lose it.
32:39I got the power.
32:41Now what you think?
32:43I got the power.
32:45Bitch, what did you expect?
32:46Come on.
33:00Here we go, here we go.
33:02Get down with me.
33:03If you want to make change, get up and sing.
33:05Oh, we all live in a crazy place.
33:06We're not all the same, but we need our space.
33:08Fighting for the right to live.
33:10Keep my man and save the kids.
33:12You ain't loud, then how can they hear?
33:14Fight and be proud and fight, cause we're real.
33:15Cast your vote and tell the one to blow.
33:17Take your power and spread the love.
33:19All right, kids.
33:20Let me find yourself.
33:22Let's go.
33:23I am American, bleep, red, white, and blue.
33:26I got the freedom to love with so much love for y'all.
33:29And if we lift every force together, use our power in that booth.
33:33We can stand whatever the weather.
33:35Make them see we know the truth.
33:37And the truth is, I got the power.
33:40I got the power.
33:40And I know how to use it.
33:42I got the power.
33:44And I know I ain't gon' lose it.
33:46I got the power.
33:48Now I'm just playing.
33:49I got the power.
33:51Money, you fix that.
33:53Come on.
33:53I got the power.
33:55And I know how to use it.
33:57I got the power.
33:58And I know I ain't gon' lose it.
34:01I hold the power.
34:02Now I'm just playing.
34:04I got the power.
34:06Money, you fix that.
34:07Come on.
34:13Oh

35:31yellow
35:33Marigold lime yellow. Well, I chose banana yellow. I
35:37Have these bananas on my boobs, you know a bit of like Josephine Baker banana skirt. It's very camp. It's
35:43very fun
35:44I'm basically a delicious banana tree waiting to be plucked and digested. You know who would love this look?

36:27Sephira that's the Bridgerton blue
36:30Slew foot more like blue foot
36:33I am blue from head to toe, but not just any kind of blue royal blue. I'm channeling Queen Charlotte.
36:40I have a
36:41Huge circle skirt. I am as wide as I am tall
36:45I have the tallest blue wig that ever been on this stage probably ever baby
36:50I am giving you everything you want and a little bit more
36:53This week the role of eveleen in the whiz will be performed by marge simpson
36:59Dawn
37:00You like to come up for a nightcap?
37:04Longest nightcap in history tonight on the runway. I am serving sleepy bedtime friend
37:09It is completely made out of materials that I would have found in my childhood bedroom
37:14We have navy blue corduroy because navy blue is my safe. It's my calm when my brain gets off
37:20Oh my god, is she a little spooky tonight, too?
37:23Is she a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare?
37:26Mmm
37:26Hue
37:27That's what I call a brim job
37:30I'm wearing lavender. It just makes me feel really pretty
37:34I'm wearing a really large fringe hat has so much movement when I walk and then I have these really
37:39fantastic
37:40Wide leg pants that I made that have all this pleated ruffling with all this like beaded lavender
37:45Fringe gives like a really nice sparkle as I walk if I'm going to do a solid color
37:50I'm going to give you layers. I'm going to give you texture. I'm going to give you silhouette
37:53I'm going to give you drama because there's nothing boring about you
37:55Ruffles I can never have just one. No, I can't either here comes the rain again wish wish fish
38:02Morphine wow, it's eggplant season
38:06It's always eggplant season mom
38:08I chose the color royal purple because it speaks just glamour
38:12Sex the hat is trimmed with ostrich feather trim dyed in a deep deep deep royal purple
38:19I stoned the entire outfit with swarovski crystals. I look naked which you know
38:24I love to show off my body. I am just staring into that light. I don't care if it's burning
38:29my cornea
38:29This is my Met Gala moment, and I'm just serving it. She wears this hat when it's purple, right?
38:34Ladies if I've said it once I've said it a thousand times grow out your shin hair
38:40Welcome queens plain Jane
38:44This is your last chance before it expires
38:48Do you wish to use your immunity potion tonight?
38:58This decision is tough, but it's now or never baby mama ru
39:03I would like to in fact extend my kindness and generosity to one of my sisters
39:11And grant her immunity tonight if she would accept
39:16I would like to gift this immunity potion to nymphia wind wow
39:26So you are extending a banana branch
39:30To nymphia wind that's right nymphia
39:33Do you accept plain jane's gift of immunity yes, please?
39:41All right bottoms up down the hatch sister savor every drop
39:54So nymphia you are safe and you may slay another day you may leave the stage
40:00Thank you guys
40:02I'm a little shocked that plane gave her immunity to nymphia because plain is a rotten human being and I
40:08didn't think she would ever do that
40:09So that was nice of her she should have maybe use it on herself
40:15All right queen so now it's time for the judges critiques
40:18Starting with maya iman lapagia
40:21In the power performance you were in your element it just it felt like you were comfortable for the first
40:28time
40:28Look at you on this runway tonight. This is the best you've ever looked you're letting us have your neck
40:34I just felt really proud of you
40:36Not only in the challenge, but on this runway tonight. This is where you need to be to stay in
40:41this competition
40:42Up next plan john
40:44You were fun in the uh power performance. I like that your lyrics had some comedy in them. I thought
40:49you finished really strong by uh fingering yourself
40:51yeah
40:53It's a good way to finish
40:54Yeah, but I will say this this is the first time I felt a little chink in the armor you
41:00seemed nervous
41:01And normally I don't get that from you when you got side by side and the funkier part and started
41:06coming
41:06That's when it started to creep in but your verse you shine this runway tonight. You look beautiful
41:12Your padding is always so on point. It is
41:15Exquisite cats for match is gonna come and give you a little bit of endorsement because them hips is made
41:21for sleeping on
41:25Up next safira you are so
41:28functified
41:29You know the feeling you got the references that was your stage was like we were all paying rent because
41:36you owned it
41:37You know the first thing I noticed was them dancing biscuits. They were sequined tonight
41:44The way you wrote your lyrics you did this rick james swoop in that love for you line
41:49It was like we were speaking the same language. I got it. What lyric are you most proud of probably
41:54If we lift every voice together it was my hearken to um lift every voice and sing. I loved it
41:59I was eating out of the palm of your hand and I was coming back for dessert
42:02And you know when you come down this runway you always have a sense of levity and laughter
42:07This is such a statement of how you do this thing called drag and I kind of love it
42:13Up next dun dun dun dun
42:16You were the white man can't funk moment but here's the thing you looked adorable and you gave it a
42:24good go
42:24Listen the white folks in the audience they can relate to you
42:28Because no soul was detected
42:31But it funking works and you know what it was was because your joy was there
42:35You have your own brand of funk. What would you call that brand of funk white woman of suburban descent?
42:43You did take a huge undertaking with all of those lyrics, but they were very deep and very profound and
42:48that tells us a lot about
42:49Who you are as an artist and tonight this sleepy creepy thing. I like it. I like the shape
42:55I like the little cutouts on the side. I don't know what the fuck you are
42:58But this is just a weirdo queerto type of drag and that's what makes you you
43:03Up next q
43:05My favorite outfit of the week is your red outfit from the power performance
43:10It was so hot and the extraordinary look was the perfect thing to wear
43:16To distract us from the fact that this is not your strength
43:20It was like i'm gonna blind these bitches with a look so they don't get too into me walking
43:25But it worked q and this tonight. I like the dripping on the hat
43:30I'm not sure about the way the stuff flows from the boobs. I'm not sure if it's flattering, but I
43:35like the glint
43:37Thank you
43:37Up next morphe clear. I've been waiting for more morphe. Okay, I sound like michelle. She got her tits out
43:44more morphe
43:44But tonight I got it. Oh, I'm on a morphe high
43:50Throughout this competition you've been kind of middle of the road and tonight was the first night. I really saw
43:56you shine
43:57I was not ready for this performance in rehearsal. You were great, but on the stage. I was blown away
44:04Every step was right on and it's out that makes me horny. It's so good. The color is perfection
44:11When it's right, it's right
44:13So proud of you tonight. Oh my god. Thank you
44:17Queens one final question and please answer honestly
44:22Are you registered to vote?
44:25Maya yes plain jane. Yes, safira. Yes, dawn. I am cute. Yes, I am morphe
44:32Absolutely mama. Did you know that 63 million eligible us citizens are not registered to vote?
44:40The good news is it's not too late go to vote.gov to register now and remember no social media
44:48post is as powerful as a registered vote
44:53Thank you queens
44:54Well, you enjoy delicious house of love cocktails and mocktails in the untucked lounge the judges and I will deliberate
45:04All right now just between us girlfriends. I want to know what you have to say starting with
45:09Maya she was the one that surprised me tonight because in rehearsal she was so shy but her performance was
45:14fierce
45:15In the power performance just didn't love the look she chose like the hair made her look like an oompa
45:19loompa
45:19Oompa loompa
45:20Am I lying? She was having a good night till you said oompa loompa
45:24No, listen, this is a bitch who can take a lickin and keep on ticking. She fought week after week
45:29and earned this glow up tonight
45:32Plain jane plain jane looked like a pop star when I saw her I was like whoa couldn't take my
45:37eyes off of her as per usual
45:38But then she came out and she seemed really nervous and really stiff and I thought huh
45:43This is weird for jane
45:45Well, you know jane is a perfectionist and I think that that can actually inhibit her from time to time
45:50Interesting that on a night when she kind of had some cracks showing she didn't drink her potion
45:56But i'll tell you this even jane's bad is still really good. Yeah, it's a theorem. There was an embodiment
46:02of funk
46:03I didn't see her counting. I didn't see her thinking. I just saw her being funk on that stage
46:07She knows what she's doing that athleticism that side split to turn up and jump up onto her feet
46:12She's got it and then tonight on the runway
46:13She flipped the script with the marge simpson hair and I thought it was fantastic and I love that color
46:17blue with the gold
46:18Don I love Don and I think it's because I have the exact amount of funk that she has
46:23I watched her do her thing and then I said slay that funky music white
46:28But she made it work tonight. Yeah, she killed it in her way and it's interesting that runway was fascinating
46:35I love the way dawn does drag tonight. I thought it was quintessentially drawn cute cute stands for questionable funk
46:44But you know she also pulled it off and I don't that's a miracle that you did somehow with that
46:48choreography
46:49But it really worked and the alpha was rock like what she looked like
46:53Helped sell the fantasy of the funk the runway tonight hats what i'm talking about
46:59It is about that hat moment that drama thing who cares about the rest of it that hat is
47:04Everything I would love to have seen a different silhouette underneath the hat, but I was fine with that morphine
47:10the 305 came out
47:11Like when beyonce is performing in a group your eye always goes to her and that's how I was feeling
47:17about morphine tonight
47:18That's how you do it. I agree. Morphine was great if tina marie is behind the group
47:24Morphine is inside
47:26Tonight on the runway. I really do love what she did with that cape
47:29It was so so beautiful and my favorite thing that I get to see on this show is when they
47:35have been struggling to find their way
47:36And then boom it just works for them and tonight that happened for morphine
47:41All right silence i've made my decision
47:45Bring back my girls
47:48Welcome back queens i've made some decisions
47:52Maya i'm on the page this week the walls came tumbling down
47:58You are safe you may step to the back of the stage

48:14You are safe
48:16Look at all that
