00:01I feel compelled to have to come out and clean up and correct some of the statements that the Democrats
00:09made.
00:10I couldn't believe as I was getting updates of what they were saying.
00:13And I hope that when you get the transcripts, you fact check them on what they say.
00:17This is a habit of the Democrats on this committee coming out, telling you all stuff that was said that
00:24was not said.
00:25The only cover-up that I've seen on the oversight committee is the cover-up of the Democrats trying to
00:32cover up our investigations of the Metro Police Department, lying about crime statistics, and the cover-up of the Minnesota
00:39fraud by Tim Waltz and Keith Ellison, and the cover-up of the hospice fraud in California.
00:46So we asked some very substantive questions the first hour.
00:51The Democrats, during their hour, repeated the exact same questions, because there's only so many questions you can ask Howard
00:59Lutnick, who had a property next door to Epstein in New York, but talked to him three times over a
01:10decade, three interactions over a decade.
01:12He was on the island with his family, with his wife and kids, six people in his family, and six
01:21people in his friend's family, for lunch for two hours, and he has admitted that.
01:27So the Democrats are going to go another hour.
01:31I'm sure they're going to try to filibuster and do whatever.
01:39Remember, they had a narrative to come in.
01:41They were hoping Lutnick wouldn't come in.
01:43They were hoping Pam Bondi wouldn't come in.
01:44Remember, Pam Bondi came in a month ago to answer questions.
01:48The Democrats didn't ask him a single question.
01:50The first 20 minutes of the Democrats' question in here, they complained about not having video and not having things
01:57to be able to put on MSNBC for their angry, purple-haired viewers to be outraged over.
02:04This is a serious investigation.
02:06I've subpoenaed the state.
02:08We've subpoenaed the Department of Justice.
02:11We've brought in one cabinet secretary.
02:14Fixed it to be two cabinet secretaries.
02:16We're bringing in some of the richest and most powerful people in the world.
02:20We're doing everything in our ability to get answers.
02:22And it's so frustrating when someone like Ro Khanna, who I can't believe when Ro Khanna comes in here, he's
02:29already gone on the floor and accused men of being criminals in the Epstein investigation who weren't even criminals, who
02:37weren't even involved.
02:38He had to go recant his story.
02:39And then Walkinshaw, my gosh.
02:41I mean, I know he's in a tough primary against a unique individual.
02:47And I guess you have to lie and pander to outrage people over to try to win a Democrat primary.
02:54I don't know.
02:55But the times that Ro Khanna, I'm not going to say Ro Khanna lied, the mistakes that Ro Khanna's made
03:01and come out here and delivered to you all, I can't keep up with.
03:05And the times that Walkinshaw has walked out here, who has just been here a few weeks.
03:09He's just been in Congress a few weeks, but he thinks he's the smartest person here.
03:12And the number of lies that he said.
03:14So I'm hoping that when you get the transcript, you will fact check these members.
03:20It's a disservice to you.
03:22It's a disservice to your readers, to your viewers, when the Democrats come out here and just lie.
03:27So we're going to come back in.
03:30We'll see if the Democrats ask any different questions than what we asked over the first hour.
03:34Again, there's only so many questions you can ask a man that had three interactions with Epstein over his entire
03:42life.
03:42So does anybody have any questions?
03:44Yes.
03:45Democrats had zeroed in in their discussions out here with us about Lutnik's testimony regarding when he said,
03:51I would no longer see Jeffrey Epstein.
03:54They said that he met him personally, one-on-one, and not in a group setting.
03:57Can you describe to us how you interpreted Secretary Lutnik's answer on that line of questioning and if you were
04:04satisfied?
04:05On which one now?
04:05Which one?
04:06He said that the reason why, you know, in 2005 he said that he would no longer, he would cut
04:11time for Jeffrey Epstein and then he met with him later on.
04:13Democrats have said that, Lutnik essentially said that he didn't personally want to be one-on-one with him in
04:17a room,
04:18but was okay, suggested he was okay in a room setting.
04:21Yeah.
04:22If I remember from recollection, we'll see with the transcripts, but I believe he was saying that when he met
04:30him,
04:30he just had bad vibes but didn't know anything.
04:34You know, it's hard to imagine some of the things, and by all accounts, whether it was the Clintons or
04:39President Trump or whomever that had interaction with Epstein,
04:43I don't think anybody knew about the crimes until he was prosecuted in Palm Beach in 2008, I believe.
04:50Yes.
04:50Are you concerned?
04:51One of the things the Democrats said but has come out is that Secretary Lutnik has changed some of what
04:57he said,
04:57whether it's the timeline or whether it's going to the island.
05:01So do you feel like you've got direct answers, or are you still concerned that he's changed the facts?
05:07Right off the bat, he corrected his statement on the time that he came to the island,
05:13and he said, you know, that if I remember correctly, and you can look back on the transcript,
05:20he said that somehow Epstein found out that his family and friends were going to be vacationing in the Caribbean
05:28around the Virgin Islands, and he invited them to lunch, and they docked there for, he thinks, no more than
05:37two hours.
05:37It was his wife and four other family members, and then six other, so there were 12 in a group.
05:44They didn't go in the house or anything there.
05:46Did he explain why that was okay when, you know, back in 2005, he seemed to suggest that he didn't
05:54want any further involvement with him?
05:56Did he explain that discrepancy in detail, and if so, what did he say?
06:01I mean, I feel like that Lutnik's been very transparent.
06:05He came in voluntarily.
06:06I said before this thing started, the only thing that I had seen that Lutnik did wrong wasn't 100%
06:13truthful on the brief visit to the island with his family.
06:17He corrected that in his opening statement, and, you know, we'll see.
06:22We'll continue our investigation, and if we find that there were any misstatements by Lutnik, it's a felony to lie
06:29to Congress, and he'll be held accountable.
06:31So it's too bad it's not a felony for a member of Congress to lie to the media, or we
06:36would be, we would have a lot of Democrats that would be having to law you up right now.
06:41So, yeah, Max?
06:42The Democrats made a big point about this not being videotaped.
06:46Can you respond to why this is not a video?
06:48We had Ted Wade in last week.
06:49It wasn't videotaped.
06:51They didn't say a thing about that.
06:52We had the Metro Police whistleblowers come in on that investigation that they said was phony, that we've proven they
07:00lied about the crime statistics, which I think is happening in other cities in the United States, and we'll continue
07:05our investigation in other cities.
07:07They didn't say a thing about that.
07:10We've had Minnesota fraud depositions with the whistleblowers in Minnesota.
07:16Those weren't videotaped.
07:18We're trying to get people in as quickly as we can.
07:21You see the list continues to grow of people we bring in for interviews and depositions with respect to this
07:27investigation or any other investigation.
07:30Let me tell you, it's very hard to get people in.
07:32I don't think the average person realizes how many hours of phone time is involved with our staff communicating with
07:40their lawyers to try to get people to come in to do these interviews.
07:44I mean, everything has to be perfect.
07:45They may say a day that we have another transcribe interview, maybe a day that they have a medical appointment
07:51or a child's wedding or things like that.
07:53So we're doing the best we can to bring people in.
07:58If they'll come in voluntarily, you know, we try to work with them and do whatever we can.
08:03But the truth of the matter is, the Democrats want video so that they can mislead their base or whatever
08:14into trying to say something happened that didn't happen or whatever.
08:20The transcript, any Democrat that wants to be here can be here.
08:24I know that I've missed one deposition, I think, in Epstein when I had oral surgery and the Democrats trashed
08:30me on it.
08:31This is the second Epstein interview we've had in a row and Garcia wasn't here.
08:36I know he was reading comic books, I think, during the Ted Waite video.
08:42I don't know where he is today.
08:43But, again, that's another thing.
08:45The members don't have to be here.
08:47This is done by staff.
08:48We have professional staff.
08:49The Democrats have professional staff.
08:50The Republicans have professional staff.
08:52We have attorneys who are professional deposers.
08:55That's what they do.
08:56But at the end of the day, if you'll come in voluntarily, we'll work with you.
09:01We'll try to get this thing in and out.
09:04And the videos, to my knowledge, there was never any videos of depositions until the January 6th series.
09:13Yes?
09:13The Democrats suggested that the reason Lutnick may have been changing his story is because they have talked to the
09:18administration prior to come.
09:20Of course they said that.
09:21Of course they said that.
09:22It's always about Trump.
09:23It's never about the victims.
09:25It's never about justice for the survivors.
09:28It's never about holding people accountable that should have prosecuted Epstein years ago.
09:34It's always about Donald Trump.
09:36It's always about the midterm elections and trying to flip the house and trying to motivate their base.
09:45From my standpoint, from most of the Republicans on this committee's standpoint, our purpose is to get the truth to
09:52the American people.
09:53We don't care if they're Republicans or Democrats.
09:55We don't care if they're rich or poor.
09:59We are going to bring them in.
10:00We're going to ask them questions.
10:01We're going to be transparent with you all.
10:03I'm not going to sit up here and lie and say somebody said something that they didn't, like Walkinshaw does
10:08time and time again.
10:09I hope I don't make mistakes like Ro Khanna does time and time again.
10:14So, one more question.
10:16The Democrats have also been pushing for when Pam Bondi comes in to have that on.
10:21Wow, wow, wow.
10:23They had her in.
10:24They just had her in.
10:26They had an opportunity to have Pam Bondi and Todd Blanche.
10:30They were going to be here all day.
10:32And they didn't ask a single question.
10:35They didn't ask a single question because they want a video.
10:37They want a video and they want that ACY or whatever that thing is so he can always misinform the
10:46low IQ viewers who follow him on Twitter as to what was said.
10:50And you read the transcript.
10:52That's why 99.9% of depositions are done.
10:56And, again, this isn't about the administration.
11:00This is about the victims and hopefully, hopefully, we'll have witnesses that will be coming in over the next six
11:08witnesses that will have pertinent information.
11:11I think, you know, this guy, Lutnik, had three interactions with Epstein over 10 years.
11:20He's been very forthcoming with those interactions.
11:25And, again, we asked, I think, every question you all would ask that first hour, the Democrats, after their outrage,
11:31they asked the exact same questions.
11:34I'm going to make a prediction.
11:35And you can look at the transcript.
11:37They're asking the exact same questions that we asked the first hour and they asked the second hour.
11:41Are you ruling out, then, any videos for future deposition?
11:49Well, it just depends on how hard it is for people to come in.
11:51It just depends.
11:53If, you know, the Clintons took seven months to come in, and that's something that, you know, most, I don't
12:00think it's easier whether nobody wants to be videoed.
12:03If you come in, you work with us, then, you know, you might not have to be videoed.
12:07So you're not ruling it out?
12:09I'm not ruling it out.
12:10It just depends on how easy it is to get these people in because we're on a timeline.
12:16The clock's ticking.
12:17We're dealing with some of the most powerful attorneys in the world.
12:20We're dealing with the O.J. Simpson legal team with a lot of these guys, and it's very difficult to
12:26get these people in.
12:26But I think we've had great success in that.
12:28I hope we continue to do that.
12:30It's just real frustrating when people like Walkinshaw, who's been here two months and is losing in the Democrat primary,
12:38has to come out here and lie to try to save his political butt.
12:41It's just very frustrating.
12:43But we'll continue to be transparent.
12:45As soon as the lawyers for both sides agree on the transcript, we will release this one.
12:50Hopefully we'll get the wait transcript released in a few days.
12:54And I think we've got some more quality witnesses coming in in the next few weeks
13:01that will hopefully have more information that I think will be relevant to the investigation.
13:06Thank you, Ali.
13:06Is it a punishment?
13:08How does it feel to be the fastest member of Congress?
