00:01post-draft power ranking.
00:06And they kind of adjusted it
00:08because they did one right after free agency
00:12and then they did one right before the draft
00:14and then they did one right after the draft.
00:16So where do you think they've got the Manders?
00:19On just the draft hall?
00:22No, power rankings, overall team, post-draft.
00:25I heard one.
00:26I thought it was just the defense though,
00:28but it was annoying.
00:29It had them ranked 30th.
00:31I thought they were 26th in some poll that we did.
00:36I think that was CBS.
00:38I'm going to say this latest iteration.
00:39I'm going to go 24.
00:41Actually, I think that was Pete Prisco's, wasn't it?
00:43I think it was Prisco's.
00:44I'm going to say 24.
00:44I know somebody had them ranked 30th defensively.
00:47I'll say 20th.
00:48Well, ESPN has them 19.
00:51There we go.
00:52It was close.
00:52Not 20.
00:53Okay.
00:5319 at just overall power rankings?
00:55Overall power rankings.
00:56I think that that's fair.
00:58That's just outside the playoffs.
00:59Yeah, I mean, that's not great, but it's not horrible.
01:03You know what I mean?
01:04I mean, 19th is higher than you would have guessed.
01:07It's higher than I would have guessed, but it's not great
01:09because, again, it's outside the playoffs.
01:11It's a non-playoff team.
01:12It's not a lot of respect, but it's better than 30th or 26th.
01:16But these other rankings we saw were in the 20s or maybe 30, yeah.
01:19That's to Prisco's point, though, that he doesn't think there's a huge difference
01:23between, like, 15 and 28 or something.
01:26Yeah.
01:26You know, they're kind of interchangeable, those teams.
01:29But I guess, you know, the people at ESPN, they kind of like what they've added
01:32in free agency.
01:33They obviously like their draft with Styles and with Williams.
01:38So they got them 19.
01:38I mean, don't you think at the end of the day, they're probably not, you know,
01:43going to go on the run that they did in 24, right, when they won 14 total games.
01:47And they're probably not as bad as they were last year when everything went wrong.
01:50Right.
01:51They're probably somewhere in the middle.
01:52In the middle, barring some good fortune.
01:55They have them.
01:55That makes sense.
01:56They have them right ahead of the Colts and the Steelers and the Panthers,
02:00who went to the playoffs last year.
02:03Yeah.
02:03If James healthy for 17 games, which seems like a stretch based on last season,
02:09they should be a contender.
02:10Mm-hmm.
02:12On the outside.
02:13Outside looking in.
02:15So I just thought that was interesting that you guys would get a little kick out of that.
02:1919 on the power rankings.
02:20Well, I think 19 is better than I would have expected.
02:22Mm-hmm.
02:2319 is solid.
02:24Take it.
02:24But I think if you really look at it last year, I mean, just everything went wrong.
02:28All right.
02:28So following a two-day trial, the jurors at the Dedham District Court,
02:34I guess that's in Boston, yesterday found Stephanie
02:38Jeff Diggs, not guilty.
02:40And it took him about two seconds to deliberate, right?
02:42On charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery,
02:46Diggs faced those chargers in connection with an alleged December 2025 incident.
02:52Allegedly, it happened December 2nd.
02:53I mean, you realize that was just like five months ago.
02:56It was just like five months ago.
02:57And it's already in, I mean, they went to court in the quickness.
03:00Well, I was watching this trial.
03:03I watched like an hour of it live yesterday.
03:06And this woman, Jamila Adams, she just looked crazy.
03:11She looked psycho.
03:12She did?
03:12She did.
03:13And she would argue with the defense attorneys, with Diggs' defense attorneys.
03:19And then she wouldn't answer the questions.
03:21And then the judge would say, Miss Adams, please just answer the question.
03:25And then she would just go off on a tangent and start yelling.
03:27And then she finally said, okay, okay.
03:29And then she would answer the question.
03:30And then the defense attorney would ask her follow-up questions.
03:33And she'd do the same thing.
03:34This is kind of unstable.
03:35It's just a farce.
03:36It was a farce.
03:38And everyone, you know, I was looking at the chat.
03:40Everyone's going, oh, this is going to take 20 seconds for a not guilty verdict.
03:44Diggs didn't look concerned at all.
03:47His attorneys would kind of write notes back and forth.
03:50They were just kind of laughing about the certain things.
03:51Was he chuckling?
03:52He wasn't, but the attorney was.
03:54The attorney knew it was a layup.
03:56So here's what I found interesting.
03:58And she claimed that he attacked her in her room and slapped her and strangled her,
04:03although there was no signs of it.
04:06No evidence.
04:07Yeah, physically.
04:08She had her phone with her.
04:09She said, the defense attorney said, did you take pictures of your injuries?
04:12She said, no.
04:13Yeah.
04:13Well, I know that there was a video that went viral.
04:15They say the same day after the alleged incident, she's like dancing in the kitchen.
04:19Yeah.
04:20Looked perfectly happy.
04:20Yeah.
04:21They talked about that, too.
04:22Yeah.
04:22What struck me is immediately all of the commander's guys online and on YouTube
04:30and are throwing out there.
04:31All right.
04:32It's on now.
04:33Yep.
04:34It's on.
04:34Take any breaks you might have.
04:37I was thinking about Diggs.
04:38I mean, he has to be considered.
04:40He's a free agent just floating out there waiting to be signed by somebody.
04:44Oh, yeah.
04:44You said bad enough, though, EB.
04:46No, no, no.
04:46I said you could always add.
04:48That's why I had a problem with the word enough.
04:50You can always add.
04:53Yeah, well, he'll get snatched pretty quickly, I would think.
04:56They were just kind of waiting for this.
04:57I would think Washington would kick the tires on the idea.
04:59Bring Diggs home.
05:00Bring him back where he belongs, where it all started.
05:02What did New England pay him last year?
05:04What did they pay him, like, six or ten million a ton?
05:05I'd have to look it up.
05:05They didn't pay him, like, a ton, right?
05:06I don't know exactly how much he made in New England.
05:09Maybe he made more than that.
05:11All right, so we've got the NBA lottery coming up in four days.
05:15Well, that's soon.
05:16The NHL draft lottery was last night.
05:19And the Caps, I think they finished last in the lottery.
05:23They're picking 16th, I believe?
05:25Yeah, they're picking 16th.
05:26The Maple Leafs got the top pick.
05:27I'm not sure if they were the best odds to get the top pick.
05:30No, they were fifth.
05:31They were fifth?
05:33I saw the San Jose Sharks got the second pick.
05:36They were the ninth.
05:37They had the ninth ranking.
05:38The underdogs are jumping up.
05:40To get the top pick.
05:41And they got the second pick.
05:43Yeah.
05:43So, yeah, the Caps will draft 16.
05:46Getting back to Diggs for just a second.
05:47He signed a three-year deal with the Pats,
05:50but it's only about what is guaranteed at signing.
05:53He got 16.6 to sign.
05:55Total guaranteed money, 22.6.
05:58So, pretty good money.
06:00Was he there two years?
06:01I thought he was there one year.
06:02I think he was only there one year, correct?
06:04So, what does it bring out to for one year?
06:07His total guaranteed money was 22.6.
06:08Oh, so he got 22.
06:09That's a lot of money.
06:09That's a lot of dough.
06:11That's way more than I thought.
06:12Way more.
06:13NBA playoffs last night.
06:14We kind of talked about it.
06:15The Thunder take a 1-0 lead over the Lakers.
06:18Beat them by 18, 108 to 90.
06:20By the way, did you guys see the video of Jared Vanderbilt's gruesome finger injury?
06:24I just saw the backside of it.
06:27I didn't see what happened to the finger.
06:28So, he completely dislocated his right pinky.
06:31So, it happened right near the Thunder bench.
06:34And when the guys who were on the bench saw it, they scattered like cockroaches when you
06:40turn a light on.
06:40Like, they were terrified.
06:42They were shook.
06:42They were terrified by the visual.
06:44So, like, I couldn't see what his hand looked like.
06:47But I saw the reaction from about a half dozen Thunder guys on the bench.
06:51It must have been really bad.
06:53Yeah.
06:54I mean, he was doubled over in pain, too.
06:56It was just going like that.
06:56I guess it was probably just pointing this way instead of straight up.
07:00Yeah, that's bad.
07:01So, they take a 1-0 lead, 108 to 90.
07:04The Pistons beat the Cavs, 111 to 101.
07:08So, they take a 1-0 lead in that series.
07:11Tonight, you've got two games.
07:13You've got game two in the Garden in New York, Nick Sixers.
07:18They've just been rolling the last three games.
07:20By the way, props to Timothee Chalamet for passing on the dumb Met Gala, where he would
07:25have to go and dress like a weirdo.
07:27And for going and watching the Knicks in the playoffs instead.
07:32Yeah, I saw a video of Travis Kelsey showing up.
07:34I've got my priorities.
07:36No, no, no.
07:36It's ridiculous.
07:37It wasn't Travis Kelsey.
07:38It wasn't?
07:39You fell for online clicking.
07:40Okay.
07:40I didn't even click on it.
07:41I believe it was Sam Smith, the singer, who kind of resembles Travis Kelsey.
07:48Yeah, but you saw The Rock.
07:49The Rock was, like, wearing a skirt.
07:51I mean, it's absurd.
07:52No, I just saw the clickbait.
07:53I didn't see The Rocks.
07:54Well, I mean, some of the guys that were there, Joe Burrow, he wore just the
07:56regular suit.
07:57He looked normal.
07:58Good on him.
07:58Yeah.
07:58Good on him.
07:59But some of them wore some stupid.
08:01Yeah.
08:01Although some of the girls, they looked the silly.
08:03Of course they did.
08:04Lindsay Vaughn looked them all day.
08:06She did?
08:07Yeah.
08:08I feel bad for her, man.
08:09Was she on crutches?
08:10She's riding that rehab.
08:10She was not on crutches.
08:11Wow.
08:12Good for her.
08:12Walking without a limp.
08:14That's excellent.
08:15No way.
08:16From what I saw, I was watching the red carpet, brah.
08:19I know you were watching the red carpet.
08:20I watched the updates all the time.
08:22Unless I missed it.
08:23You love red carpets.
08:24Yeah.
08:24Why do you love red carpets?
08:25He's fascinated by them.
08:27No, because my daughter was watching it.
08:28I didn't even know what was going on, and she put it on.
08:31Gotcha.
08:31But the athletes, I just saw pictures online.
08:35Vaughn was the only one I saw on the red carpet.
08:39Richie.
08:40All right.
08:40I fell for the clickbait.
08:41I didn't click on it.
08:42I mean, I literally saw it in a thumbnail.
08:45Yeah.
08:46So we cover that.
08:47So we've got the two games tonight in the NBA playoffs.
08:49Nats got pummeled last night by the Twins, 11-3.
08:52Cavalli got the loss.
08:53He gave up six runs.
08:56How many were earned?
08:57Three were earned.
08:58I haven't checked.
08:59Were they dead last in team ERA?
09:01Although he had the error that I believe that.
09:06It should be earned if it's your error.
09:08That's right.
09:08You know what I mean?
09:09That's what I was going to say.
09:09It was his error.
09:10It allowed a couple runs, and they scored three.
09:13So they lose 11-3.
09:16Taj Bradley got the win for the Twins.
09:17He's now 4-1 with a 2-8-7 ERA.
09:20So they couldn't really touch him.
09:24So James Wood had a hit, but he struck out twice.
09:26He's got 56 strikeouts.
09:27He's hitting 2-32.
09:28Remember he went on that little bit of a run, 8-10 game stretch, where he was killing the ball.
09:33And he's still hitting the ball well, but he's striking out too much.
09:36Got to cut down on those.
09:37He had 226 strikeouts last year.
09:42I think he's on pace for about 250 this year.
09:44That's a lot.
09:46So the Nationals are 27th in team ERA, and then their fielding is pretty bad too.
09:54I think they're dead last in fielding.
09:55Let me just double check.
09:57Updated statistics.
09:58I think they have the most errors of any team in the Bigs.
10:00Dead last.
10:01So that's not a good combination.
10:02Team ERA, 27th.
10:04Team fielding percentage, 30th.
10:07I guess those extra drills that Butera's putting up there haven't really borne fruit yet.
10:11I mean, he definitely has addressed it within the last week.
10:14Yeah.
10:17So obviously the Twins game 2 tonight, 645.
10:21I believe Michaelis is going for the Nats.
10:24He's 0-3 with an 8 ERA.
10:26And Bailey Ober going for the Twins.
10:29He's 3-1 with a 3-5 ERA.
10:31So it's going to be another challenge for the Nats.
10:33And then they play the third game of the series on Thursday.
10:36I believe that's a day game.
10:381-800-636-1067 is the number.
10:42Coming up next, number one pick in the NFL draft was Fernando Mendoza.
10:46Is he going to be a hit?
10:48We'll get into that next here on the Junkies.
10:50The Nats.
10:50The Nats.
10:50The Nats.
10:50The Nats.
