00:00...of Australia Best, it's all coming up on this frightening episode of The 100, but don't you believe?
00:10Good evening, mortals. I'm Dracula, and welcome to our special Bright Night episode of The 100,
00:16the show only made possible...
00:17It's actually literally impossible to speak in these things, but...
00:21It's only made possible by the 100 ghouls up there that perfectly represent the cross-section of Australia.
00:26So that means, according to the stats, there should be 32 people up there that scare easily.
00:31And I think you can tell those type of people.
00:40Tonight, I'll be joined by three spooky stars.
00:43You know her as the host of the podcast, The Buck Up,
00:46but I know her because she hides underneath my bed and grabs my feet every night.
00:49It's Kate Langbrook!
00:52Next, she's one of Australia's most popular comedians on telly, radio and stage.
00:56I hear he's a nightmare to work with.
00:58Perfect for our theme, Joel Creasy!
01:03And, finally, if you say his name three times in front of the mirror,
01:07he'll appear behind you and ask to hang out after work.
01:09It's terrifying.
01:10For the last time, Mike, I'm not interested, Mike Goldthee!
01:15No, it hurts you, does it?
01:17Let's jump into our first round.
01:18This article caught my eye during the week.
01:20It turns out that getting a fright might not be as bad as you think
01:23because a university study has found out that watching a horror movie on the couch
01:26can actually burn as many calories as a trip to the gym.
01:30Yay!
01:32If that's the case, this dog must be super fit.
01:39So, let's all head into the deep, dark forest,
01:42immediately split up and lose phone reception.
01:44It's time to look at the stats on fear.
01:48All right, hands on buzzers.
01:49Buzzers, please.
01:51Battle.
01:52One second.
01:53Oh, no, don't!
01:54No.
01:55Andy!
01:55I know, I know.
01:56You just look like Mr Sheffield.
02:02Now, hands on buzzers, please, panel.
02:06When scared, 12% of people do what?
02:09Ah!
02:11Apologies to the sound of public.
02:14No, it's not that, Joel.
02:15Mike.
02:16Beg Andy Lee to let them out of his basement?
02:21No, Joel.
02:21Do a little pup-pup.
02:22Oh!
02:23Oh, no!
02:25Do they pray?
02:27No, I don't know.
02:29It's not doing or praying.
02:30OK.
02:30Well, at the same time, Mike, what is it?
02:32Send their wife downstairs to check out what the noise was.
02:37No.
02:39Ask to sleep in their parents' bed,
02:40which gets super awkward after 30.
02:46No, it's actually far less active in all of those things.
02:50When scared, 12% of people do what?
02:52Shut their eyes.
02:53Ah.
02:53Close their legs.
02:57No, it's an F word.
03:00When scared, 12% of people do what?
03:02Fart.
03:03Fart.
03:04No.
03:05Oh!
03:08Faint?
03:08No, not Faint.
03:11Well, they talk about three things people do when they're scared.
03:14There's fight.
03:14Fight.
03:15Flight.
03:15Or?
03:16Or.
03:17Faint.
03:17Fth.
03:18F-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f.
03:20That's the F word.
03:21That's F word.
03:21That's a fluke.
03:22Fornicate.
03:23Fornicate.
03:25It's end times.
03:28F-f-free willy.
03:31I was just trying to show you through demonstration, then.
03:34Oh.
03:35Freeze.
03:35He's got it!
03:39Oh, wow.
03:40What a change.
03:41What a change.
03:42Wow.
03:44That's all we've got time for this episode, guys.
03:48Is there anyone up in our 100 that may have frozen in a crisis?
03:53Natalie.
03:55Hi, Andy.
03:56Hi, Natalie.
03:57I like your outfit.
03:58What was the crisis?
04:00Earthquake in Turkey in the middle of the night.
04:03Oh.
04:04I was visiting my boyfriend and I was completely nude in bed and I froze and didn't know what to
04:10do.
04:10Oh, wow.
04:11And so, what, was he in bed alongside you?
04:14Yeah, but he's a Kiwi.
04:16He knew what to do.
04:17He jumped up, grabbed all the passports, put his pants on, wrapped himself in a doona.
04:22Like, he was all over it.
04:23So, he didn't try and help you.
04:25He was like, f*** this, I'm out of here.
04:28Eventually, he got me up, wrapped me in a doona and put me in a doorway.
04:31Oh, okay.
04:32Oh, my goodness.
04:34So, I hear this.
04:35If a building is to collapse or a roof to come in, the safest place to be is in a
04:38doorway.
04:39Yeah, except when they collapse, you don't actually see the third floor doorway still standing there.
04:44So, I don't know.
04:44No, that's a really good point.
04:46Natalie, thank you so much.
04:47Really appreciate it.
04:50Wow.
04:5112% of people freeze when they're scared.
04:54And I guess if you freeze, you're a good chance of going unnoticed.
04:58Who did poop?
05:06That was good.
05:08Next question.
05:10The most common fear among Aussies is what?
05:13Joel.
05:14Beef Wellingtons.
05:17That's it.
05:18Now.
05:19It's got to be now.
05:20Yeah.
05:21Yeah.
05:22No, it's not that.
05:22The most common fear among Aussies is what?
05:24Katie.
05:25I think the most common fear is actually a vegan coming to your dinner party.
05:30That's true.
05:31They are annoying.
05:32That's the word.
05:34No, not that.
05:35Does it start with an S?
05:37It starts with an H, actually.
05:39Hobart.
05:41That's not good.
05:42I quite like Hobart.
05:44No, those people wouldn't do some extreme sports, I would say.
05:49Heights.
05:49She's got it.
05:53Heights is the most common fear among Aussies.
05:56If you're scared of heights, this isn't the video for you, so look away now.
06:04Bubby, you're really close to the ground.
06:06Just let go.
06:13All right, this one's for your DigiPads, guys.
06:15Oh.
06:15What percent of the hundred are afraid of dying, do you think?
06:19Pop your answers in, hundred.
06:21How many of you are afraid of dying?
06:25Panel, do the same.
06:27Results are coming in from our hundred.
06:29Okay, what did the panel call me?
06:31Ooh, 85, Mike.
06:33You're the highest.
06:34Looking around, some of them better come to terms with it pretty quick.
06:42You're lowest, Joel, 15%.
06:43I don't have a fear of death, really.
06:45No, I don't, I, no fear of death.
06:47I went skydiving.
06:48However, you're a comedian.
06:49I've seen you die.
06:51Go, baby, go.
06:58Let's see how many of our hundred are afraid of dying.
07:0351%.
07:04Kate gets the points.
07:05All right, Kate.
07:08Next question.
07:09To get over a fear, 3% of Aussies have done what?
07:14Oh.
07:15Kate.
07:15The thing they're scared of?
07:17Confronting it.
07:18No, it's not confronting it.
07:19Is it hypnotherapy?
07:21He's got it.
07:21Yeah.
07:22Oh, really?
07:23I've done it.
07:23Have you done hypnotherapy?
07:24I've done it.
07:25I think my hypnotherapist, shout out to Trish, she had never had my request before.
07:32What was it for?
07:32I went in for the confidence to be able to do a reverse parallel.
07:37Park?
07:37Park.
07:38Park.
07:39Sounds crazy, but wait for this.
07:41This will blow your mind.
07:42If you don't go under, you just lie there and hear 45 minutes of compliments about yourself.
07:47You're great, Joe.
07:48You're funny.
07:49You can reverse parallel.
07:50It's so good for your ego.
07:52And?
07:53Oh, I can't reverse parallel, but I feel fantastic.
07:57Katie, have you been...
07:59I did it.
07:59What for?
08:00Smoking.
08:01And did it work?
08:02Well, I'm still smoking.
08:05Is there anyone up in our 100 that has been hypnotised to get out of a fear?
08:12Chloe.
08:13Hey, Chloe.
08:14Hi, Andy.
08:15Chloe, tell us about it.
08:16What was it for?
08:17I actually have a needle phobia.
08:19And I needed to get my wisdom teeth out under general anaesthetic.
08:23So I got hypnotherapy to help me to actually be able to do that.
08:27Does it wear off?
08:28Do you have to top up your hypnotising?
08:30Like, are you fine with needles now?
08:33Look, I'm not cured, but it definitely made it more manageable.
08:36In the lead up to the surgery, I was actually able to sleep and eat and do my work and
08:42not cry every day,
08:43which I wouldn't have been able to do before the hypnotherapy.
08:46Chloe, I should get that because I work in showbiz.
08:49I work with a lot of pricks.
08:53It's what I need.
08:54Andy?
08:56Chloe, thank you so much.
08:57Really appreciate it.
08:59Incredible.
09:01One beer diggy pads.
09:03What percent of Aussies have been in a situation where they feared for their life?
09:08Pop your answers in.
09:09Hundred.
09:10How many of you have been in a situation where you feared for your life?
09:13Results coming in from our hundred.
09:17Results are in.
09:18Let's see what our panel can.
09:20OK.
09:21Mike, you think 40%?
09:22Yeah.
09:23That's anyone who's been on a Jetstar flight.
09:26All right.
09:27Let's see how many of our hundred have feared for their life.
09:3354%.
09:33Joel gets the points.
09:34Joel gets the points.
09:3754% of our hundred have been in a situation where they feared for their life.
09:42A lot of people have been in situations where they should have feared for their life.
09:46Did you cannot pet that dog?
09:47No, no, no.
09:49No.
09:49I pet that dog?
09:50No.
09:50You pet that dog?
09:52No.
09:53I pet that dog?
09:55Don't shut up.
09:55You can absolutely pet that dog.
09:56It's the end of the round.
09:59But is there someone up there that's willing to share their story when they did fear for
10:03their life?
10:03There is.
10:04We'll get that straight after the break.
10:06Don't go anywhere.
10:20Welcome back to our bright night.
10:25Episode of the hundred.
10:26Before the break, we asked if anyone was happy to share their life or death story with us.
10:31And Alan is happy to do that.
10:33Alan, hopefully this is not too triggering for you, but what was the situation?
10:37I'm a CFA volunteer of 20 years, and very early in the start, I had to go into every
10:44firefighter's worst nightmare, which is going to ground, because the fire's going to banish
10:47over.
10:48Oh, explain that to us when you say going to ground, is that where the fire's...
10:53So, in an emergency procedure where it's burning over the top of you and you've got
10:57no escape, I went to ground the old-fashioned way, which is where you had to get a fire
11:00blanket and put it over the top of you, and me and my partner were on the back, and it
11:04was very hot, very loud, and I wouldn't want to do it again because it was very, very...
11:09Very confronting.
11:10How long, Alan, does it take for a fire to pass and for you to be safe again?
11:14Well, the initial front of it took about five minutes to pass, and we were able to come
11:19out from under that, and around about six minutes to start to put everything else out
11:23around us, but as soon as we had the chance, we'd just get out of there.
11:26Alan, thank you so much, and congratulations on your break.
11:29We really appreciate it.
11:32Time to play our next game.
11:34This one's called Antiques Home Show.
11:39Earlier tonight, I asked the hunter to grab the spookiest possession in their house.
11:43They've all gone and done that.
11:45We're going to bring up four of them, and, panel, you're going to have to guess which
11:49one you think is the most expensive.
11:51Oh.
11:52So let's meet our contestants.
11:53We've got Vanessa, Jennifer, Raylene, and Shannon.
11:57Let's start with you, Vanessa.
11:59What is your item?
12:00I have an original Movie World Gold Coast Gremlins animatronic head.
12:07Oh!
12:08Oh!
12:08That is awesome!
12:10How did you come to get that?
12:11It was actually a delivery man was delivering a package to the Movie World and found this
12:17and put it on eBay, and my partner found it and bought it off eBay.
12:21Awesome purchase.
12:23Any questions, guys, you have?
12:24Um, is that Kate Langbrook before she sits in the make-up chair?
12:29LAUGHTER
12:30I was going to make the exact same joke, Mike.
12:33Oh, were you?
12:34Yeah, of course.
12:36Great!
12:37Any other questions, guys?
12:40Vanessa, does it do anything, or is it like me, in the make-up chair?
12:45She's in the make-up chair.
12:46Oh, yeah, that's nice.
12:48Oh, yeah, that looks like me.
12:49What?
12:50You can put your hand up.
12:51LAUGHTER
12:53All right, we've got to move on from Vanessa to Jennifer.
12:56Jennifer, what have you got for us?
12:58Is it a vintage three-faced baby doll?
13:02No.
13:02What do you mean, three-faced?
13:03No, don't do it.
13:05Oh, no!
13:07Oh, my God.
13:09Oh, no!
13:11Jennifer, stay very calm.
13:12The police have surrounded your house.
13:15They are going to move you to a secure location.
13:17It's best not to fight it.
13:19How old would this item be?
13:21I got it for my ninth birthday from my mum.
13:25Jennifer, have you slept a wink since your ninth birthday?
13:30Jennifer, that is extraordinary.
13:32We go from Jennifer on to Raylene.
13:34Raylene, what is your item?
13:37Oh, I've got a pair of very old vintage porcelain spaniels.
13:44Yes, my grandma had these at her house.
13:46Yes, any questions for Raylene?
13:48Raylene, we have to take your word for it.
13:49We've only seen one.
13:50Yeah.
13:51Oh!
13:51OK, here's the other one.
13:55Oh!
13:56Stick that in your partner's market.
13:57OK, just have to check.
13:59Raylene, why does the one you're holding look like it's been on meth for a day?
14:05I know.
14:06They're hideous.
14:08They're actually my partners and she loves them.
14:11And I think they're the most hideous looking things.
14:14And, Raylene, how did your partner get them?
14:17They're on her grandmother's mantelpiece.
14:21And she used to love them as a little girl.
14:23And when she was old enough, her grandmother gave them to her.
14:25But I think they're even older than her grandmother.
14:29Right.
14:29So they could be over 100 years old.
14:31Could be, yeah, definitely.
14:33Finally, Shannon, what have you got?
14:35I have got the prosthetic foot that was used in the Saw movies.
14:38Whoa.
14:39Oh, my God.
14:39It was used in Saw 3 when they hacked off the foot in the toilet scene.
14:43And it was also used in another one as Jigsaw's foot at the moor.
14:47Oh, Shannon, that right there is why I don't get pedicures in shopping centres.
14:55All right.
14:56We've got all four items.
14:58Your job now, panel, is to guess which one you think is the most expensive.
15:03Is it Vanessa and the gremlin's head?
15:06Is it Jennifer and the three-faced dolls?
15:08Is it Raylene and the spaniels?
15:11Or is it Shannon and the severed foot from Saw?
15:15Oh, I don't know.
15:15So you've got Vanessa, Jennifer, Raylene or Shannon?
15:18Yeah, I'm doing...
15:20You OK?
15:22I'm doing...
15:23The doll's possessor.
15:25I'm doing Raylene, Raylene, Raylene, Raylene.
15:30All right, let's see what our panel came up with.
15:33Oh, three Raylene.
15:36Raylene, Raylene, Raylene, Raylene.
15:40Because that will make this whole segment pointless.
15:42I'll change.
15:43Would any of you guys like to change?
15:45You don't have to.
15:46I'm obviously allying with a member of my community.
15:49Yes.
15:50I am surprised it's dogs, though.
15:52You guys normally do go for cats.
15:54Dogs normally are territory, but...
15:56Mike's going to change.
15:58Yeah.
15:58And he's gone for Jennifer.
16:00I'm kind of phobic, Mike.
16:02All right.
16:03Would the person who has the most expensive item,
16:05please raise their hand?
16:07Yes, that's me.
16:09Yay!
16:12Well done, Shannon.
16:13How much is your foot?
16:15I had a valued little wallet going on.
16:17It's worth about five grand, so...
16:18Five thousand dollar foot.
16:21Well done, Shannon.
16:22To round it out, Vanessa's gremlin's head, $1,500.
16:26Right.
16:26Jennifer's three-faced doll, $200.
16:29Oh.
16:29And the spaniel figures, $1,000.
16:33Guys, thank you so much for sharing.
16:34Really appreciate it.
16:36Wow.
16:37It's ready for the round, but stay with us,
16:38because after the break, we'll find out what popular pastime
16:41is giving most of us nightmares.
16:43See you soon.
16:57Welcome back.
16:58It's our Fright Night special of the 100.
17:02Ooh.
17:02Yes.
17:03The scores are up there.
17:05Joel is out in front.
17:07Joel?
17:08Yes.
17:08Joel.
17:09I mean, scum always rises to the top.
17:14Time to get into our next round.
17:16Now...
17:17Sorry.
17:19I thought I was a frog in my throat.
17:20I'm a bit thirsty.
17:21I haven't got my bottle.
17:22Has anyone...
17:23Oh, thank you.
17:24That'd be great.
17:24Thanks so much.
17:34Perfect.
17:37Oh, my goodness.
17:39Yeah.
17:42Jealous much?
17:43Oh, it's so...
17:44I'm green with envy.
17:47Yeah, sorry.
17:48Don't hit the spot.
17:49They'll keep me going as well.
17:50It's time to play This or That.
17:56In this game, I'm going to give the 100 two spooky options
17:58and they have to pick which one they prefer.
18:00Panel, your job is to guess which way they'll lean.
18:03Let's jump into it.
18:05A horror movie.
18:06Is it a good first date idea or a bad one?
18:09100 pop your answers in behind that screen.
18:12It's pretty tough.
18:14Results coming in.
18:17Results in.
18:18Let's see what our panel thinks.
18:21Ooh, two goods and one bad.
18:23Oh.
18:23Why do you think it's a bad idea, Joel?
18:25I don't think you should be screaming for your mummy
18:28on your first date.
18:30Or shitting your pants.
18:33Good idea, you think, baby.
18:34Yes, because nothing is better than when you're so frightened
18:38and a big, strong man says,
18:41put your hand in my cup of popcorn.
18:46Let's see from our 100,
18:48is it a good idea or a bad idea?
18:50A horror movie on a first date.
18:54Bad idea.
18:54Joel gets the points.
18:56Oh, my goodness.
18:57I know.
18:58Yeah.
18:58Give it up.
19:00Yeah, that's your question.
19:01Well, let's see.
19:01Has someone got a first-hand experience
19:03of a horror movie on a first date?
19:05Jessica.
19:07Hi, guys.
19:08How are you?
19:08Yeah, good, Jessica.
19:09What was the situation?
19:10So, it was the first date with my now husband
19:13about 14 years ago.
19:15Oh.
19:15He heard I liked horror movies,
19:18wanted to impress,
19:19but didn't watch them himself,
19:21so asked his brother for a recommendation,
19:24and he recommended The Human Centipede.
19:26Oh!
19:29So, you stayed with the man,
19:31then you watched The Human Centipede
19:32on your first ever date?
19:34I had already seen it.
19:35Oh.
19:36Weirdly enough.
19:37And he had no idea what it was,
19:39and I thought,
19:40I'm absolutely making you watch this.
19:42This is going to be hilarious.
19:44And he managed to pull through.
19:46He was awfully disgusted,
19:47but it was hilarious,
19:48and I just, yeah,
19:49I thought he took it on the chin.
19:51So, everyone took it on the chin in that movie.
19:54Well, unless you go in front.
19:57But, Jessica,
19:58so are you saying you think it's a bad idea,
20:01but yet you married the guy,
20:02so ultimately it's a good idea.
20:05Cancel her vote.
20:08Appreciate it, Jessica.
20:1159% of us think a horror movie
20:13on a first date is a bad idea.
20:15Some first dates just are a horror show.
20:18Do you want to go split?
20:19You'll pay for the egg rolls here.
20:20Let me do it more.
20:24What's that?
20:24I'm just going to calculate it
20:25and work out the bill.
20:27You had more of the brownie
20:28to save as much money as you humanly can.
20:31That's a natural instinct.
20:32Oh, no.
20:33Oh, no.
20:34Yeah.
20:34His calculator's getting more action than him,
20:36I reckon.
20:38Next question.
20:39Clowns.
20:40Are they entertaining
20:41or are they scary?
20:43Oh, that's tough.
20:45Results are going in behind that graphic
20:47from our hundred.
20:47Do you think they're entertaining
20:48or do you find them scary?
20:50Results are in.
20:51Let's see what our panel think.
20:53Okay.
20:54The only people who would think
20:55that clowns...
20:56So, Jelda's wrote yes.
20:58Go, go.
20:58Oh, I was laughing at you.
21:02I thought you were...
21:02No, well, are they entertaining or scary?
21:05Yes.
21:06That's for you to work out.
21:08And Kate also finds basic spelling scary.
21:11Oh, it doesn't have an E.
21:14So, entertaining or scary, do you think, Jel?
21:16Well, I feel like as a comedian
21:19and someone wearing a lot of make-up right now,
21:21I have to be on the side of clowns.
21:23Okay, you can go in as entertaining.
21:25You think scary?
21:25I think scary because if you rear-end one,
21:2830 of them get out and yell at you.
21:32Let's see.
21:32What do our hundred think?
21:33Do they think clowns are entertaining
21:35or do they think they're scary?
21:38Entertaining, Joss.
21:39Oh, look at that.
21:39A miraculous read for Joel.
21:40Oh, I have to write a yes.
21:42Yes.
21:43Yes.
21:45Only 43% of us find clowns scary.
21:48We wanted to test this theory with our cast today.
21:51And so we hired a clown, Broden Kelly.
21:54There he is there in a make-up chair.
21:56To surprise our panellists in their dressing rooms
21:59when they arrived at the show today.
22:01Oh, my goodness.
22:01We've got Kate to begin with.
22:04Let's check out how she reacted.
22:05There were cameras.
22:06Sorry, Jel.
22:07I'm not sure if I told you this.
22:09There were cameras.
22:11What else did you see in Joel's Jurassic Park?
22:15This is Kate arriving at the show today.
22:19All right.
22:19All right, brilliant.
22:23Hi, Kate.
22:26I'm so sorry.
22:27I'm so sorry, Kate.
22:29I'm so sorry.
22:31It's Broden Kelly.
22:33I love that Broden noise.
22:35Immediately was apologetic straight after this.
22:37It was terrifying.
22:39All right, so that was Kate.
22:41Joel was next to arrive in the studio today.
22:45And this is Joel's reaction.
22:47I'll come get you a coffee or something.
22:48Easy.
22:49Thank you so much.
22:52Oh!
22:54I'm so sorry, Joel.
22:55Oh, my God.
22:57I'm so sorry.
22:58That was fantastic.
22:59They're making me do this.
23:00I'm so sorry.
23:02That was brilliant.
23:04Hi.
23:07I heard that happen.
23:08I thought a woman was being stabbed.
23:11We'll show you, Mike, later on in the show.
23:12Let's get back to the topic.
23:14This one's sentimental.
23:15This or that.
23:16Taxidermy.
23:16Is it a loving tribute or is it creepy as hell?
23:20Very creepy.
23:21It depends who you're getting taxidermied.
23:25Results are getting put in behind that graphic there.
23:29Panel do the same.
23:30Loving tribute or creepy?
23:32Loving or creepy, you can write in.
23:36Results are in.
23:38Let's see what our panel thinks.
23:41Oh, Mike, you think loving.
23:43Yeah, loving.
23:44I mean, I want to be taxidermied.
23:46And you know what?
23:47No one would tell the difference.
23:48Oh, really?
23:50Because I'm stiff right now.
23:56You want to be taxidermied?
23:57I do.
23:58And then I want to be bolted above my wife's bed
24:00and I'm waggling my finger like this.
24:03Wow.
24:04OK.
24:05All right, let's see.
24:06Loving or creepy, when it comes to taxidermy,
24:08what does our hundred think?
24:1282% say creepy.
24:13Points, circadian gold.
24:15Thank goodness.
24:1782% of us are creeped out by taxidermy.
24:20I think that's a bit of a shame
24:22because it can be a great opportunity
24:23to do a tribute to your favourite sports.
24:26OK, so this is a dressage.
24:28I love horses.
24:28And I work with dressage horses,
24:31so that inspired this.
24:32And it's like dressage theme,
24:34little squirrel riding the rabbit
24:36and then a little rat riding the horse.
24:38So the whole horse obviously isn't real,
24:41but the rat's...
24:44Bold statement from the host there
24:46that the horse wasn't real.
24:47It's the end of the round,
24:49but coming up,
24:50we'll find out how many of us
24:51have evoked the supernatural
24:52to get revenge on someone who's wronged us.
24:55Whoa.
24:55Which is pretty full on, actually.
24:57So stick around after this.
25:11Welcome back to Bright Night.
25:13Boo!
25:14Ha!
25:14Hope I got you.
25:15Anyway, the scores are up there.
25:17Joel's still out in front.
25:19Oh, my goodness.
25:20But plenty of...
25:22It's unusual for him
25:23because normally he's down the bottom.
25:26Am I right?
25:27I'm versatile, Kate.
25:29Let's jump into the round.
25:30This caught my eye this week.
25:32An increasing number of Australians
25:33are turning to exorcisms
25:34to heal themselves or a loved one,
25:36with 39% of us believing
25:38demons are active in the world.
25:40Hmm.
25:41I guess you can have a demon in your soul
25:43or a little baby one in your knee.
25:52So, break out your Ouija boards.
25:54It's time to chat about
25:55all the stats on the supernatural.
25:59Hands on buzzers, please, panel.
26:01Before moving into a new home,
26:0319% of Aussies have done what?
26:06Mike.
26:06Buried their parents.
26:10It's true.
26:11A lot of people are waiting
26:12for that inheritance.
26:14Um...
26:14They didn't kill their parents.
26:17I think...
26:17Well, we don't know.
26:18We don't know.
26:19Do you know...
26:20Wait, I actually ate my grandma.
26:23I'll explain.
26:25We went to scatter her ashes
26:27at Dan Murphy's in Mandurah.
26:31Hand on heart,
26:32this is a true story.
26:33And a strong wind picked up
26:34and I got a big mouthful of Muriel.
26:36Oh!
26:37Yeah.
26:38Wow.
26:39What did it taste like?
26:39Just as bitter, dead as alive.
26:43And did you have the opportunity
26:44to say,
26:45your terrible Muriel is just going to ask?
26:46Oh, yeah.
26:47How were you?
26:49Before moving into a new home,
26:5019% of Aussies have done what?
26:52It's a ritual.
26:53Mike.
26:54Post a photo on Instagram
26:55with them and their annoying partner
26:56in front of a first solid sign.
26:58Yeah.
26:59Got a smudge stick.
27:02Yeah.
27:02And burnt it.
27:03Yes, a sage cleansing.
27:04I'll give you that, Katie.
27:05Oh, my goodness.
27:06Sage.
27:07Yep.
27:0819% of Aussies
27:09have done a sage cleansing.
27:11Sometimes a property
27:12feels like it's haunted.
27:14Other times,
27:14it sounds like it is.
27:19Oh!
27:21Wow.
27:22Ground floor.
27:23Shower curtains and stabbings.
27:25Next question.
27:275% of Aussies
27:27have used a psychic for what?
27:29Joel.
27:30This answer.
27:33Lottie numbers.
27:34Ooh.
27:35No?
27:36No, not quite.
27:37Mike.
27:38Is it a palm reading?
27:39Like, I had a palm reading once
27:41and she said,
27:42ironically,
27:42the love line on my hand
27:43has been worn off
27:44by years of masturbation.
27:49Not a palm reading.
27:50Katie, you were close.
27:52It's money related.
27:54Mike.
27:55Financial advice?
27:56He's got it.
27:56Yes, financial advice.
27:58Oh!
27:59Really?
28:00Really?
28:015% of Australians
28:02have used a psychic for financial advice.
28:04Has someone up there
28:05had some luck with that?
28:08Diana.
28:09Diana, I love your outfit.
28:12Talk us through.
28:12Were you seeking financial advice?
28:14I was asking if I was going to win the lotto.
28:17Oh.
28:17And that they said yes or no?
28:19She said I couldn't give you the lotto numbers
28:22but what I can tell you to do
28:24is to draw a winning lotto ticket
28:26and put it on your fridge
28:29and manifest a lotto win.
28:31And did that work?
28:33No.
28:34It was 30 years ago
28:34and I still haven't won the lotto.
28:37Thank you very much, Diana.
28:38I appreciate that.
28:415% of Aussies have used a psychic
28:44for financial advice.
28:46You don't need a psychic
28:47to tell you some investments
28:48are worth every penny.
28:53Oh, yeah.
28:55Oh, yeah.
28:58Go on.
28:59Pretty cool.
28:59Banana car, hey?
29:00I love that.
29:01Actually, 100?
29:02I want to try something.
29:04Hopefully you catch where I'm going with.
29:06This, OK?
29:07Unmute the entire 100, everybody.
29:11Banana car.
29:12Do, do, do, do, do.
29:13Banana car.
29:14Do, do, do.
29:16Banana car.
29:17Do, do, do, do, do.
29:19Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do.
29:22Yeah!
29:28This is a weird show tonight.
29:29Also, you know what?
29:30That was like some kind of demonic possession.
29:33Yes!
29:34Now, we're on board.
29:34Next question.
29:35When passing a cemetery,
29:3715% of Aussies do what?
29:39Oh.
29:40Tell the joke my mother tells,
29:42which is,
29:43everybody's dying to get in there.
29:47No, it's not that game.
29:48Mike.
29:49Go get free flowers for their partners.
29:53No, Joel.
29:54This could sound crazy.
29:56Hold your breath.
29:56He's got it.
29:57Yes!
29:58Yes!
29:59We always be taught that in my house.
30:01Oh, really?
30:02Final question for the round.
30:04It's for your digipad.
30:07What percent of the 100
30:08have put a curse on someone?
30:11Curse.
30:11I'd love to.
30:13I'd love to.
30:13Pop your answers in.
30:14100.
30:15How many of you have put a curse on someone?
30:17Panel, how many of them do you think have put a curse on someone?
30:19Results are coming in.
30:21Results are in.
30:22Let's have a look.
30:24Oh, just as low as 10%, do you think, Joel?
30:27Well, I don't think it's very common,
30:28but I did meet someone the other day.
30:29She knew someone that could put a curse on someone for me.
30:32Oh.
30:32She knew a white witch.
30:34And I said, well, can I have her details?
30:35But she only does telehealth.
30:38It's a true story.
30:40Let's see how many of our 100 have put a curse on someone.
30:4511%.
30:46Joel gets the points.
30:48Yeah.
30:49It's just weird.
30:50It's just weird.
30:5211% of the 100 have put a curse on someone.
30:55Sometimes you can tell the person that's been cursed.
31:00Oh.
31:02Oh, no.
31:04It's the end of the round,
31:05but is there someone up there
31:08that is willing to tell us about the curse they put on someone?
31:11There is.
31:12We'll get that straight after the break.
31:14Don't go anywhere.
31:28Welcome back.
31:29It's our Friday Night episode of The 100.
31:32And before the break,
31:34we're talking about putting curses on someone
31:36and Sonia has done that.
31:38Oh.
31:39Sonia,
31:40who was the person that you were trying to curse?
31:42My next door neighbour's husband.
31:44Oh.
31:46He left her
31:48and so we decided to make a voodoo doll
31:51out of sticks
31:52and every time I went over,
31:54we put a pin in another spot
31:56on the big dog.
31:57Where was the first pin planted?
32:01In his heart.
32:02In his heart.
32:04Well, do you know if it worked at all?
32:06Well, we did see him walking down the street
32:08and we put one in his knee.
32:10Yep.
32:10So he was limping.
32:11So obviously that must have worked.
32:13Absolutely, Sonia.
32:14Thank you very much for sharing.
32:16Really appreciate it.
32:19Let's check in
32:21with our final scare of our panellists.
32:24Oh, Goldstein.
32:26Obviously, Broden Kelly
32:26was helping us out as a clown
32:28and we had him waiting
32:29in the dressing rooms
32:31of our panellists today
32:32as they arrived at the show.
32:34This is how Mike reacted.
32:37Phil?
32:38Yeah.
32:49No, is that intentional?
32:50Yeah.
32:52Definitely.
32:53I've told him some stuff in there.
32:54There's a camera there.
32:56I mean, not bad.
32:58I love the fact that you said
33:00is that intentional?
33:01Yeah.
33:01I mean,
33:02imagine this clown
33:03has been locked in there
33:04from years ago.
33:05I think he was more scared of me
33:06to be honest.
33:08On with the game.
33:09It's now time to play Matcham.
33:13Panel, in this game
33:15we're going to bring up
33:15four different members
33:16of our hundred
33:16and you have to match
33:18what phobias they have.
33:21So let's meet our players.
33:22We've got Britt,
33:24Caitlin,
33:24Tanika and Jess
33:26and here are their phobias.
33:28First up,
33:29one of them has a phobia
33:30of throwing up.
33:31The next one has a phobia
33:33of seaweed.
33:34Next one
33:35is a fear of loose hair.
33:38Yeah.
33:38Loose hair.
33:39Yeah.
33:39And finally,
33:40a fear of chickens.
33:43Britt, Caitlin,
33:44Tanika and Jess,
33:45any questions?
33:46Mike.
33:47Britt,
33:48which came first?
33:49Your fear of chickens
33:50or your fear of eggs?
33:54Don't answer that.
33:55That might give away
33:56which one it is.
33:57But would you be happy,
33:58Britt,
33:59to visit a farm?
34:00Most definitely.
34:02Okay.
34:03Not.
34:04Okay.
34:05So, Caitlin,
34:07not that I'm assuming
34:08you have a seaweed phobia,
34:10but would you be able
34:12to eat in a Japanese restaurant?
34:16Yeah.
34:17Yeah, I would.
34:18Oh,
34:18but it might be
34:19when it's processed,
34:20it's fine.
34:21I wonder...
34:21Okay,
34:21it is creepy in the ocean.
34:23It is, isn't it?
34:23Yeah, yeah.
34:24Yeah.
34:24any questions for either
34:26Tanika or Jess?
34:27Anyone up for a palmer?
34:32Tanika.
34:33Oh,
34:33I've got it.
34:34In your household,
34:36who cleans the drains?
34:37Is it you or your partner?
34:38Or someone else?
34:39My partner.
34:40Okay.
34:40Okay.
34:41Any other questions?
34:42Jess,
34:43do people,
34:44like,
34:45joking about phobias like this
34:46make you want to be sick,
34:48but you couldn't?
34:50Jess,
34:51do you hate it
34:52around 5pm
34:53at Spring Racing Carnival?
34:56Britt,
34:57would you be comfortable
34:58working on a roller coaster?
35:01Yeah,
35:02absolutely.
35:03That'd be so much fun.
35:04Okay.
35:05Tanika,
35:06you're really pretty.
35:08Oh,
35:08thank you.
35:10Any questions?
35:11End of.
35:11No,
35:11I'm just going to let it on.

35:14guys?
35:15Caitlin,
35:16fear of hair
35:17was puberty rough for you?
35:20No.
35:23Caitlin,
35:24do you feel comfortable
35:24answering that?
35:26Yeah,
35:26no comment.
35:29All right,
35:30let's start with
35:31the fear of
35:33seaweed.
35:34Yeah.
35:34Britt,
35:35Caitlin,
35:35Tanika or Jess,
35:36who do you think
35:37has a phobia of seaweed?
35:38I don't know.
35:41Okay,
35:41let's see what our panel
35:42can't win.
35:44Ooh,
35:45great,
35:45we're all split,
35:46which makes it exciting.
35:47Why Tanika?
35:48Okay.
35:49NFI,
