00:00Fascinating talk right now, Jack, is we're going to have a new Cy Young Award winner in the
00:04American League this year. I don't think that there's any denying that. The Yankees are at
00:07the top with their two guys. I'm not completely sold on this, though, with Schlittler and Max
00:12Fried. I mean, I think that the door is wide open here for somebody else to win this. Do you
00:20feel
00:20like it could be a long shot this year? Do you buy those odds there with having those two Yankees
00:25there, or are we missing someone here? So, Schlittler has had an amazing start to the
00:30year, but this is Cam Schlittler's first full season pitching in the Major Leagues. It's hard
00:35to believe that a guy's first full season throwing in the Major Leagues will result in a Cy Young
00:39Award. Fried is the interesting one there, and I understand why he's there, because he
00:43is not only a quality start machine, but he looks like the best version of Max Fried that
00:47maybe we've ever seen. We saw the raw ability when he was a young kid in Atlanta. He signed
00:53his $200 million contract, and he looks like the ace of the New York Yankees, even when
00:58Cole is back, even when Rodon is back. From a strikeout accumulation perspective, Cease is
01:04really interesting. Dylan Cease is going to strike out a lot of guys. The ERA may be sitting
01:09in the mid threes, but if he punches out 275 guys, I mean, we're talking about maybe like
01:15flirting with modern strikeout records. Like, I know we got to, what, 300 with Cole in the
01:20late 2010s, and Strider was right around 280 a couple of years ago with Atlanta. We could
01:25be talking about those K totals with Dylan Cease. The other guy that I would keep an eye
01:29on, Gavin Williams in Cleveland. I saw he was down on those odds a little bit. Gavin Williams
01:35is kind of like really bursting onto the scene and coming into his own. He was a guy that had
01:42a low ERA last year, but was described as lucky because of some of the bat and ball data
01:46against him and all of that. At the end of the day, this guy gets outs, he racks up punch
01:51outs. And if Cleveland is sitting near the top of the American League Central, why can't
01:55Gavin Williams be in that conversation?
