00:13I just spit out the drink on the food, you know?
00:19So I need to cancel this rather by a service.
00:25Ow, ow, ow, ow!
00:27Ow, ow, ow!
00:27Ow, ow, ow!
00:28Ow, ow!
00:29Go forward!
00:30Go forward!
00:31You're not taking it back!
00:32Leave your butt!
00:34Get the out!
00:35Get your hat!
00:37Oh, he messed up!
00:38Hang on, buddy.
00:39He's starting to take things.
00:41That cock is a bad .
00:45You're a piece of .
00:46Hey, hey, hey, hey.
00:47Shut your mouth!
00:49Get out of my face.
00:50I will murder you!
00:51If you do that one more time, I will end you!
00:55Customer complaints are at an all-time high.
00:59You son of a bitch!
01:01Putting workers on the defensive.
01:03Ow!
01:05And with labor shortages, supply chain woes, and a 40% rise in violent retail crime, it's an all-out
01:13battle at the checkout.
01:18The customer is always right.
01:20All accounts.
01:21It's just plain wrong.
01:23I am a customer!
01:24I am a customer, too, Becky!
01:30Food delivery apps are expected to generate over $200 billion worldwide by the year 2030, according to one industry news
01:38source.
01:38But despite the format's massive and ever-growing popularity, one recent survey of on-demand delivery customers found 9 out
01:47of 10 respondents say they've experienced a food delivery gone awry.
01:51Thanks to occasional hitches in the process, like missing items, insufficient packaging,
02:09or longer-than-expected waits.
02:15What's going on here?
02:17Your driver got arrested.
02:18And then there are issues that appear to defy simple explanation.
02:25Hi!
02:27In California, a woman approaches a food delivery driver after she claims she tracked him on the delivery app driving
02:35past her location with her order,
02:37then parking in front of a business for over 20 minutes.
02:42So you're, like, sitting here eating my order.
02:46What?
02:46I spent $40 on that food, and your location had an update, and we were confused, so we came and
02:53you're sitting.
02:54I just called my, uh, my, well, .
02:57But I just spin up the drink on the, on the food, you know, so I need to cancel this
03:06driver.
03:07According to the customer, she tried three times to reach the company she ordered from, and the driver, but got
03:14no answer.
03:15But you could, like, call us or text us, and it was, like, 20 minutes of you just sitting in
03:20front of this location, and we tried calling you.
03:23I know your phone rings and you get it.
03:24If you would have called us and said, hey, I spilt it, we would have said okay.
03:28Then on the way to intercept the driver, her order was apparently canceled.
03:32I just have to the, uh, .
03:35So I, I didn't notice the call.
03:39The driver claims the reason he missed her call is because he was notifying the company of the spill.
03:45We spend a lot of money. We spend like $40, you know?
03:47Yeah, you can, yeah, you can, you can, you can, you can get, uh, refund, and no worries, you can
03:51get refund.
03:52But it is worried, though. So the drink is spilled on your seat over there?
03:56Yes, I, I show you a picture, so, I...
03:59The drink looks open like you're drinking some. There's plenty of drink left in there.
04:02Look, just a, just a freak, just a freak of cough.
04:07Look, a freak.
04:09Okay.
04:10Yeah, sorry about that.
04:11The customer apparently finds the driver's explanation less than satisfying.
04:16Okay, because you look like you're enjoying it, like it's really good.
04:18And I know a lot of people will get the food and then they just want to eat it.
04:22So they kind of like cancel the order, you know, but.
04:25If you are a driver, you know, very calming because sometimes food is spewed.
04:30Yeah, for sure. I understand a thousand percent.
04:33It's just hard to believe when you have like the sauce on your face and the cup is still like
04:37full right there.
04:39In the end, there's nothing much the customer can do except complain to the company.
04:43Yeah, it's canceled. It canceled on me already.
04:45It canceled on me when we were already on our way over here.
04:49Yeah, I'll continue.
04:50Yeah, that's very unfortunate. Thank you.
04:53And she has issued a refund by the food delivery service.
04:55Yeah, look.
04:57Break.
04:58Okay.
04:59Yeah, I thought about that.
05:01While errors are inevitable, resolving them in a timely manner, especially for customers who are waiting for food,
05:08is the best way to prevent anyone.
05:10We spend a lot of money. We spend like $40, you know.
05:13From going hungry.
05:14It's just hard to believe when you have like the sauce on your face.
05:24Businesses that sell alcohol, whether to go, like in a store, or in-house, like at a bar or restaurant,
05:30walk a fine line balancing customer service with legal responsibility.
05:37Because in most states, it's against the law for an establishment to serve alcohol to any customer who appears obviously
05:44intoxicated.
05:47And while cutting these patrons off is usually enough to bring the matter to a close,
05:52there are times when an intoxicated customer's behavior
06:01requires reinforcements.
06:03And grab your stuff.
06:05Don't ever touch that.
06:06That's not yours?
06:07What do you have?
06:09Grab your stuff.
06:09Stay on.
06:09You can leave.
06:10Grab your stuff.
06:10First of all.
06:11In Florida, police are called to a beachside establishment about an intoxicated man sitting at the bar.
06:18Okay, so what reason, because you are sitting at a bar at a restaurant,
06:24that you have the right to receive service?
06:27Do you want him to leave?
06:28Yes.
06:29You're so ****.
06:31Okay, we're just time to go.
06:33According to police reports, the customer was causing a disturbance in throwing items in the bar.
06:38And when management asked him to leave, he refused.
06:44You're young, and you have no idea what family you're ****ing with.
06:49Ask you if I care.
06:52That's assault.
06:54No, that's assault.
06:56Let's go.
06:56No, that's not assault.
06:57That's assault.
06:58No, it's not assault.
06:59Oh, ****.
06:59Why not?
07:00State of Florida, that's not assault.
07:02Outside, the two officers asked the customer to call a rideshare so he can get home safely.
07:07Okay.
07:08Go ahead and call any other ****.
07:09Oh, so now it's okay for me just to off?
07:14Yeah, they won't refuse certainty, man.
07:16They have a right to do that.
07:18They have a right to do that.
07:19Yeah, they have a right to be ****ing as soon as my lawyer shows up.
07:25That's just-
07:26No idea who I am.
07:27Okay, well, I can tell you-
07:29I'm just back in town.
07:30I'm ****ing ****.
07:32Private chef.
07:33I am ****ing ****.
07:35Listen-
07:36Private chef.
07:36the man's name dropping fails to impress the officers all your i have no idea who my family
07:42is i don't care who your family is that's that's your problem you should it doesn't bother me
07:47the family angle doesn't seem to work either so what's your plan i'm gonna stand here
07:56until my lawyer shows up and then we're gonna fix this town because you cops are
08:04sorry you feel that way the officers patiently brush aside the insults as they wait for him to
08:09call a ride you're a little too intoxicated to leave here by yourself yeah you're gonna get

09:22man's phone to confirm that a ride share is indeed on its way that is a bad but that doesn't
09:29prevent
09:30him from continuing to make this bad situation worse you're a piece of hey hey shut your mouth all right

10:21asking you very much i won't end you you know one more time you know me i don't know you
10:28one more
10:28time you don't have three minutes until your gets here so please stop he doesn't know me

11:28a lesson about over indulgence why everything why
11:36you gave me so many times to up and i gave you so many times to up and eventually understands
11:47that
11:47without the extreme patience exhibited by both officers i will worry things could have been much much worse
11:55i love you oh my god you're you're the best cop ever i'm laying down okay let's help
12:12the united states is not the only country that has seen a surge in retail crime in the past five
12:18years
12:22according to one survey from a uk retail trade association there are tens of thousands of incidents
12:29every day no sorry no sorry no sorry put in the basket what are you doing
12:36come on this man go down this man go down this man go down this man go down this man
12:45go down
12:46and while is generally advised not to get physical with would-be thieves
12:51too big now you make sometimes one's emotions overtake common sense
13:00in england a supermarket employee accuses a woman of shoplifting at a grocery store
13:10and after a brief struggle
13:19the employee suddenly strikes in her direction with a whip-like object possibly the handles ripped from her
13:26back
13:35and unfortunately that's just the beginning
13:46in england when a customer refuses to show an employee the contents of her purse
13:53oh my god he strikes towards her with what appears to be the handles of her ripped bag
14:08the woman appears unable to get past the employee to leave the store
14:13oh my kids are so i went to the store and i have to hear you
14:18so you can't leave the shop now
14:20you have to wait on the

14:33how many cameras
14:34i'm coming in
14:35how many cameras
14:36i need it
14:37you're not
14:38here in your shop
14:39here
14:43seemingly without proof of missing merchandise the man claims the woman has stolen from the store before
14:52another customer in a black shirt appears to offer the woman some advice
14:57i've been in the law you still don't hit people that's assault
14:59common assault
15:01hello hi i've just been assaulted by a man
15:04but she opts to call the police instead
15:06just rinse my handbag and hit me
15:08you hit me yeah
15:10the staff here you'll be just okay aren't you
15:13though even as she makes her case over the phone the store employee offers his own
15:39the woman leaves the scene
15:42in a short while later police officers arrive
15:45and appear to speak with the employee involved in the conflict
15:50according to a police spokesperson nothing is officially reported stolen
15:57and no arrests have been made
15:59you're not in that shop in the shop
16:01i didn't think i'll cut you in the shop
16:04it's unknown if there were any repercussions for the employee
16:07who in the hell do you think you are getting a customer in the shop
16:12but this shocking incident is a reminder that no suspicion of stolen goods or even proof thereof
16:18could ever justify violence like this
16:22and he'll get out of me what are you doing
16:30most airline travelers rely heavily on devices like tablets phones and computers to get them through journeys
16:38but the lithium ion batteries powering these devices have been known to catch fire when overheated
16:44in fact according to the faa there has been a 388 surge in lithium battery fires on aircraft since 2015
16:54and while most airlines now ban them in checked luggage
16:58they do allow passengers to carry them on board where any malfunction may be quickly detected
17:04but sometimes that's not fast enough as passengers experienced on this flight in california
17:12move that way go out out that way
17:16go out go forward go forward do not take your back
17:23a flight attendant directs passengers to leave their belongings behind
17:27during an emergency evacuation due to a reported fire on board
17:38according to news reports a lithium-ion battery from a laptop inside a passenger's carry-on bag ignited
17:44during boarding
17:47that's okay you still have to evacuate
17:55but some reports also suggest that several passengers refusal to go without their things
18:02is creating panic
18:13on a california runway
18:18flight crew are attempting to evacuate a plane cabin after a laptop battery in a carry-on bag has caught
18:24fire
18:26in a carry-on bag
18:29but some passengers appear unwilling to leave without their bags
18:39despite orders from the crew and panic from other jammed passengers
18:56one passenger seems to be trying to get something out of an overhead compartment
19:09finally the bottleneck appears to start clearing up as passengers begin to slowly move down the aisle
19:18the bag with the laptop is quickly removed by crew members according to a statement released by the airline
19:27all passengers make it off the plane
19:29however three people suffer minor injuries during the evacuation according to the fire department
19:38and while luckily the situation didn't turn to total catastrophe
19:45remember in an emergency like this anything other than following the crew's orders to the letter
19:51is simply not acceptable
20:01for some that work in retail customers can become like family
20:11as this young boy did with this employee after he attended a kid's workshop
20:18at this local home improvement store
20:21and for others the customer literally is family
20:29at a superstore in north carolina
20:31happy birthday to you
20:37happy birthday to you
20:42happy birthday to you
20:46according to the person filming this young man's grandmother who's working behind the counter
20:52bought him this megaphone for his birthday
20:54happy birthday no better way to use it than to honor his gg on her own special day
21:02a moment of employee appreciation
21:05happy birthday that makes everyone's day
21:13happy birthday to you
