00:00Let's flip over to another story out on the west coast here. It's the Los Angeles Angels. I remind
00:04you right now, Joe, you have the biggest asset in Major League Baseball monetarily and also on the
00:10field. Let's just call it physically here. And you say to yourself, okay, we might not be able to
00:14forward Otani, but before he leaves, we are going to trade him and stack our entire roster from
00:20AA to AAA to single A to high A to instruction league with talent across the board. Because
00:26when we can't pay Otani, we'll trade him and get all that good stuff back. They let him walk.
00:31They got absolutely nothing. So now Mike Trout, another generational talent who's been injured
00:35quite frequently over the past couple of years, to say the least, he looks like he's healthy again.
00:40But Mike's never asked to be traded at this point and seemingly loves the fact that he's in Southern
00:44California and he's not in the spotlight that that would burn right there for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
00:49But now the question comes up when he's healthy, which he is right now, is it time to move Mike
00:53Trout, that big contract, retool some of your AAA prospects and go on ahead with your absolute
00:59career in another city? I always ask Craig Mish on Pro Baseball Today on Sundays, pick up your phone,
01:05Craig. I need to know if Trout's coming back to the Phillies. So let me ask you this, smart move
01:09where, hey, Mike's never asked to be traded and we'll just keep him here, win nothing and a
01:13generational talent up in smoke once again. What happens with Mike Trout here? Do we move him, Joe?
01:18The funny part of you, Don, is what are we thinking this organization is going to, what, are we
01:23giving them credit to do the right thing and the smart thing and, like, somehow? No, they're not,
01:29Donnie. They are going to just hold on to this until it's to its very end because Trout's the
01:37only thing that they have left, even though they were in a perfect situation either to build around
01:42two of the best players of a generation or, you know, fire Salem and get yourself set up for the
01:49next generation. And they did neither, Donnie. So they're doing it now at this point in Trout's
01:55career. It's like, what's the point? Oh, great. He's healthy. But you and I both know next week,
02:00we can be having a totally different conversation about Mike Trout's health. So
02:05they are, that ship has sailed with the Angels and I don't trust them one bit.
02:09You're good.
02:09Okay.
