00:05:43This is going to be a big night for the system, but more on that in a moment.

00:05:48This past weekend in Dallas, Texas, live from the Curtis Colwell Center at Genesis,

00:05:53it was Moose versus Cedric Alexander versus Joe Hendry in a triple threat matchup.

00:05:59Moose and Cedric Alexander were initially scheduled to challenge Leon Slater for the X Division Championship.

00:06:06However, due to visa issues, Slater was not able to make it to Dallas.

00:06:10So we have this incredible triple threat match, but in the course of that bout, Moose sustained a brutal back

00:06:17injury.

00:06:18I mean, for much of the match, we thought Moose was going to be taken out, unable to continue.

00:06:23Our ringside physician and even TNA president Carlos Silva were out checking on Moose,

00:06:29but somehow, someway, the face of the franchise rose above and got back, not only onto his feet, but into

00:06:37the matchup.

00:06:38Very curious to see how Moose navigates this matchup against Cedric Alexander,

00:06:43a decorated former champion in WWE who uses that patented lumbar check to annihilate the lower back of his opponents.

00:06:51But Moose has taken his social media to address the injury he sustained at Genesis.

00:06:57He said, quote, from the bottom of my heart, I want to sincerely thank everyone for all their concern and

00:07:01get well soon wishes.

00:07:02My back is super stiff still at the moment, but I should be okay for TNA live on AMC in

00:07:09Albuquerque.

00:07:10He said that just two days ago.

00:07:13Well, now we're going to see how much recovery has truly happened between Genesis and now, and that's not a

00:07:20good start.

00:07:22Alexander able to evade out of the corner.

00:07:28Alexander who earned a number one contender's opportunity at the X Division Championship again.

00:07:34That was supposed to take place at Genesis.

00:07:38Meanwhile, Moose, one of the stars of the group known as The System, had a contractual rematch for an X

00:07:44Division title shot,

00:07:45stemming from one of our biggest events of the year, Slammiversary.

00:07:48That went down this past summer, the home of the New York Islanders, the UBS Arena in New York.

00:07:54And as we understand it, both Cedric Alexander and Moose, at some point in the future,

00:08:00will get their opportunity at the X Division title.

00:08:04And we want to send a shout-out to Leon Slater, who competed on WWE SmackDown last week in London,

00:08:10his home country, unable to be here due to visa issues.

00:08:13And all of us here in the United States are dealing with this wicked snowstorm,

00:08:17so a lot of travel issues for plenty.

00:08:19We're all hoping Tom Hannavin won't make it home and will have to sit in a Motel 6 for three

00:08:24days.

00:08:24Motel 6!

00:08:25But right now, Moose finding a way to persevere yet again!

00:08:31Both men have to the count of ten to get back inside the ring,

00:08:34or else be counted out by our referee, Daniel Spencer.

00:09:34And in regards to Moose and the system, JDC will reveal the newest member of the system

00:09:43And also, we'll hear from the TNA World Champion, Mike Santana,

00:09:48who captured the title last week on the premiere of TNA Thursday Night Impact Live on AMC,

00:09:54successfully retained this past Saturday at Genesis.

00:10:04Again, we've talked about that injured back from Genesis.

00:14:31his system brother, Eddie Edwards, best friends of over 20 years.

00:14:42Speaking of which, these two now really going ham here in the center of the ring deep into

00:14:48the last inning of this matchup.

00:14:51If we know anything about a reigning X Division champion, Leon Slater, he's chomping at the

00:14:57bit to get in the ring with both these men who have a stake at an X Division title shot.

00:15:06He's already had the up-close and personal one-on-ones last year during 2025.

00:15:13He's going to have to face him again.

00:15:15We know that at some point in the future.

00:15:17We can't wait to have the youngest in charge, Leon Slater, back inside a TNA ring.

00:18:32There was a stage later, however, in Dallas, Texas, Saturday, at Genesis, Mike Santana, surviving, grueling, Texas, death match.

00:18:43He successfully defended the title against the former champion, Frankie Kazarian.

00:18:47But he also was able to prevent Nick Nemeth, the special guest referee at Genesis, from calling his shot and

00:18:56giving a TNA World title shot on a formidable fight by Santana.

00:19:00Santana proved at Genesis that he can climb to the top of the mountain, and he's ready to kick everybody

00:19:07else off the top.

00:19:08Not only climb to the top, but we should say climb back to the top.

00:19:18After the heartbreak of the calling your shot of Frankie Kazarian months ago, Santana continuing to prove why he is

00:19:28a world champion.

00:20:56clutches of depression and anxiety,

00:20:58I stepped foot at Rebellion almost two years ago.

00:21:04And post-match, I went to the first camera that I could find, and I made a statement.

00:21:12Not just to TNA, but to the world.

00:21:18I said that after everything that I went through to get back to what I love, I wasn't coming back

00:21:24to be another spoke in the wheel.

00:21:27I was coming for the top spot, baby.

00:21:32And every single day after, I made sure that I put action behind those words, whether it was at home,

00:21:41at the gym, or every time I stepped foot in a ring,

00:21:45I made sure that I gave every single thing that I had, because I deserve it, this sport deserves it,

00:21:53and you all deserve it.

00:22:01But listen, everything isn't always perfect, right?

00:22:07But every time that I fell, I made sure that I picked myself right back up.

00:22:13Whether it was losing in front of my family and my city at Slammiversary, I got up, and I kept

00:22:21fighting.

00:22:24Or when I led the charge, and I brought the fight to NXT, and brought back what rightfully belongs to

00:22:32us at Bound for Glory.

00:22:35Only to lose it 30 days later.

00:22:42I got up, I laced my boots tight, and I kept fighting.

00:22:51And that all led me to last week, the premiere episode of Thursday Night Impact, live on AMC.

00:23:04I stood across from a man that I've respected and admired my entire career.

00:23:10The man who built this place brick by brick, the phenomenal A.J. Stiles.

00:23:24And to hear this man tell me, face-to-face, that I now hold the keys, and I'm the man

00:23:31that's going to carry TNA on his back, meant the absolute world.

00:23:35And listen, Frankie and I, we brought the hardest fight to each other ever.

00:23:41For two nights, and after I walked out of Texas' death match at Genesis, I got to give respect where

00:23:50it's due to an absolute legend like Frankie Kazarian.

00:23:56And look, nobody understands what being in this position means more than me.

00:24:03I know there's a biggest target on my back more than ever.
