03:36What exact day the resurrection occurred on, I don't know,
03:39but I'm going to play along with it to get this Bible study in.

06:16Let's take a quick look at it.
06:19It's awesome.
06:21It's awesome.
06:23And let's take John's account of it.
06:26All the Gospels obviously have it.
06:29But John has a unique twist on it,
06:33which is kind of interesting.
06:34So just a little bit of background.
06:38And all the women come to the tomb.
06:41And when they get there,
06:43the stone's rolled away.
06:48And Jesus is not there.
06:52And there's an angel in there.
06:54And then Mary Magdalena,
06:59that wasn't her last name, by the way,
07:01she was from Magdala.
07:05She was Mary from Magdala,
07:07was her name.
07:09Maria is the Greek word.
07:11She bolts and runs back to the men.
07:15And she tells them,
07:16hey, Jesus isn't in the tomb anymore.
07:21Unbelievable.
07:22And then John and Peter bolt out of the house.
07:28They were all in hiding at the time.
07:31And they run back to the sepulcher.
07:39Mary walks back.
07:44So, as you know,
07:45John and Peter get there.
07:48John got there first.
07:49He doesn't go in.
07:50Then Peter shows up.
07:51He goes in.
07:53And they saw that Jesus had literally
07:56passed out of his clothing.
07:58What they had wrapped him in,
08:00the linen,
08:01was laying there as if he evaporated.
08:06Which is very interesting.
08:07In the future, you,
08:11if you remain faithful
08:12and become an overcomer,
08:14you will be raptured
08:17to glory
08:17and you will get,
08:19at the point of the rapture,
08:21harpazo is the Greek word,
08:24the snatching.
08:26You will get a brand new glorified body.
08:30And Paul said it would be similar
08:32to Jesus' glorified body.
08:35And glorified bodies
08:36are similar to angels' bodies
08:39where you can pass through
08:41material things.
08:43You just pass through.
08:45That's what Jesus did.
08:46He just lifted out of the linen
08:47when he was resurrected.
08:49The Holy Ghost resurrected him
08:50from the dead.
08:51Remember?
08:52And he just passed out of it.
08:54Walked out.
08:57People have natural bodies.
08:59For example,
08:59this is a natural body.
09:01Now, my natural body
09:02is kind of shot
09:03at my age.
09:05I'm on the downside
09:06of the natural world.
09:08But
09:09a spiritual body
09:13looks similar to
09:15the natural body
09:16in the same way
09:18that most of the angels
09:20look
09:22like humans.
09:24Now, there's some angels
09:26obviously that don't look
09:26like humans.
09:27Seraphims,
09:28cherubims,
09:29those kind of things.
09:30They don't look like
09:31human beings.
09:31But
09:33most angels
09:34and your guardian angel
09:36looks like
09:37a human being.
09:40And Paul said,
09:41you better watch it
09:42because sometimes
09:43people entertain
09:44angels
09:45and they don't know it.
09:48Meaning that
09:49they don't recognize them.
09:51Speaking of not recognizing,
09:53here it is.
09:54John chapter 20,
09:56verse 1.
09:57The first day of the week,
09:58Mary Magdalena
10:01came in early.
10:02It was still dark.
10:04And she came to the sepulter
10:06and she saw the stone
10:07taken away
10:07from the sepulcher.
10:08She ran
10:09and came to Simon and Peter
10:11and to the other disciples
10:13whom Jesus loved
10:14and said to them,
10:15they have taken away
10:17the body of the Lord.
10:19They've taken him away.
10:20He's not in the sepulcher
10:21anymore
10:22and we don't know
10:23where they laid him.
10:24Now,
10:25my guess is,
10:26I don't know this for sure,
10:28she probably thought
10:29Joseph and Nicodemus
10:30had taken the body
10:32probably to preserve it
10:33or something
10:34and never told anybody.
10:36Well,
10:37she was absolutely
10:38horrified at that.
10:40Verse 3,
10:41Peter therefore went
10:43and John
10:44came to the sepulcher
10:45and outran him.
10:46It says they ran
10:47both together
10:49and John
10:50got there first.
10:53Was John
10:54older than Peter?
10:55Doesn't say,
10:56but we do know
10:57he was a faster runner.
11:00Verse 5 says,
11:02stooping down,
11:03he looks in,
11:03he sees the linen,
11:05he sees the linen clothes,
11:08but he didn't go in.
11:09And then
11:09Peter comes running up
11:11a couple seconds later
11:14and then he goes in.
11:18he goes into the sepulcher
11:20and he noticed
11:20the linen clothes there
11:21are just laying there
11:22on the slab
11:25where he died.
11:27But he also noticed
11:29the napkin,
11:31the napkin that was
11:32on his head,
11:35the sudarian
11:36is what it is called,
11:38it's like a towel
11:42wrapped around his head
11:43when he died.
11:44it was sitting over
11:47somewhere else
11:49and it was
11:50sitting over
11:51by itself.
11:52It wasn't with
11:53the other linen.
11:54My guess is
11:56that Jesus took that
11:58towel off his head,
11:59folded it up
12:00nice and neat
12:01and left it over there
12:03for the devil
12:04saying,
12:05oops,
12:07you screwed up,
12:09buddy.
12:10You shouldn't have
12:11had me murdered.
12:14Sorry about that.
12:15Here you go.
12:16I'll leave you
12:16a little present.
12:17It's right over here.
12:21And it says
12:22they went in
12:26and John,
12:27it says,
12:28he goes in,
12:29he sees Jesus gone
12:31and it says
12:32in verse 8,
12:33he believed.
12:34He was the first person
12:38after the resurrection
12:40to believe in it.
12:43Even though later on
12:44he was a coward
12:45and didn't say anything
12:46and didn't tell anybody
12:47he believed it.
12:49But it says here
12:50he truly believed,
12:51verse 8.
12:52Verse 9,
12:55they did not remember
12:56the scripture
12:59that he must rise again
13:01from the dead.
13:01Now this is
13:02Psalms chapter 16.
13:03I'll read it to you.
13:05For you will not
13:06leave my soul in hell
13:07and you will not
13:08suffer your Holy One
13:10to see corruption.
13:12You will show me
13:13the path of life
13:14and in your presence
13:16is fullness of joy.
13:17At your right hand
13:19are pleasures
13:21evermore.
13:23Well, somebody else
13:24overlooked that scripture.
13:25You know who it was?
13:26Yeah, the devil.
13:27Oops!
13:29Oops!
13:30You think you screwed up
13:32in the past?
13:33You think you screwed up?
13:35You do?
13:36Well,
13:37compared to the devil,
13:40you didn't screw up at all.
13:41Okay,
13:42you will never compete
13:43with Satan
13:43for screwing up.
13:46You think you're a loser?
13:47Oh, friend,
13:49you're an amateur loser.
13:50The devil is professional.
13:53The devil is professional.
13:55You talk about
13:55overlooking a scripture?
13:58And again,
13:58this is,
13:59the devil's IQ
14:00is off the chain
14:02and he didn't remember
14:03that scripture.
14:04He didn't recall reading it.
14:05He didn't understand it.
14:08And Paul later on
14:10said it had the demons
14:12and the fallen angels
14:13known
14:15what was going to happen.
14:16They would have never
14:17crucified the Lord of glory.
14:18They wouldn't have done it.
14:20The devil's
14:21infinitely smarter
14:22than we are,
14:23but he doesn't know
14:24everything
14:24and he makes mistakes.
14:26The Holy Ghost
14:26outsmarts him
14:27all the time.
14:29All the time.
14:32Then it says
14:33the disciples
14:34went away again
14:35to their own home.
14:36That's verse 10.
14:37Well,
14:37John had to go home
14:39because he had taken in
14:40Jesus' mother
14:43and she lived with him
14:44the rest of her life.
14:46He said that on the cross.
14:49Son,
14:49here's your mother.
14:50Mother,
14:51here's your son.
14:53Translation,
14:55take care of my mother.
14:58And John did.
15:00So he goes home
15:00and he tells Mary,
15:02the mother of Jesus,
15:04hey, listen,
15:05he's resurrected.
15:07He's not there anymore.
15:09He's been resurrected.
15:12I remember him
15:13telling us that.
15:16Yeah,
15:16he had told him that
15:17several times in the past.
15:18I'm going to be handed over
15:20to the Jews
15:22and the Romans.
15:23They're going to murder me
15:24in cold blood.
15:25I'm going to be gone
15:27for three days
15:27and three nights
15:28and then I will raise
15:29from the dead.
15:31Remember that?
15:33Well,
15:34Mary gets back
15:36to the sepulcher
15:37and she is destroyed.
15:41Now,
15:42remember,
15:42this poor woman
15:44was
15:46a total
15:48emotional
15:48and spiritual
15:49wreck
15:51when she met Jesus
15:53because the Bible
15:54says Jesus
15:54cast out
15:55seven demons
15:56from her.
15:58Now,
15:59I've been in
16:00the deliverance ministry
16:01for a couple
16:02of decades or so
16:03and I know
16:05that
16:05she didn't just
16:06have seven demons.
16:07These are
16:09what I call
16:10controllers.
16:11These seven demons
16:13were super-powered
16:14principalities
16:15or entities
16:16that this woman
16:17had picked up
16:18and
16:20it's mentioned
16:22that there were
16:23seven of them
16:24which is telling you
16:26the emphasis
16:27of these
16:28powerful
16:29principalities
16:30that she had
16:34infected
16:34in her body
16:36and
16:37she was a woman
16:38of total
16:39misery.
16:41Now,
16:41how'd those demons
16:42get in there?
16:42Nobody knows.
16:43It doesn't say
16:44but my guess
16:45is it was either
16:47from
16:47severe sinning,
16:50severe
16:51child abuse,
16:52severe
16:55prostitution,
16:56sex trafficking,
16:57something.
16:58She had been
16:59in something
17:00horrible
17:01in her
17:01past
17:05that caused
17:06her to pick
17:07up six
17:09entities,
17:10super-powered
17:11demons.
17:11She probably
17:12had thousands
17:12of other demons
17:13but these
17:15seven are
17:15specifically
17:16mentioned
17:17meaning that
17:18it was a
17:18dramatic
17:20deliverance
17:21and as you
17:23know,
17:24these super-powered
17:25demons on
17:26steroids,
17:27these guys,
17:30it's almost
17:31impossible to
17:31get out.
17:32They are the
17:33toughest demons
17:33you could ever
17:34imagine.
17:34I know people
17:35that have worked
17:36for years
17:37trying to get
17:38these deaf and
17:39dumb spirits
17:40out of their
17:41brains.
17:43They've spent
17:44years going
17:45through deliverance
17:47and haven't
17:48and haven't
17:48got them
17:49out.
17:49These entities,
17:51these super-powered
17:51demons are
17:52extremely difficult
17:53to get out.
17:55You remember
17:55Mark chapter
17:569 where the
17:57nine disciples
17:57tried to cast
17:58a deaf and
17:59dumb spirit
18:00out of a
18:00young boy
18:01and they
18:02couldn't get
18:02it out.
18:04These demons
18:05are on steroids.
18:06They're nasty.
18:08Well,
18:08this woman
18:09had gone
18:10through a
18:12shocking
18:13deliverance
18:14and she
18:15was a
18:15completely
18:16new person.
18:18Her life
18:20had been
18:20given back
18:21to her.
18:21Her child
18:22abuse,
18:23her whoredom,
18:25her whatever
18:26it was she
18:26was in,
18:28witchcraft,
18:29sorcery,
18:29she could
18:30have been
18:30into anything
18:30and probably
18:32was.
18:33She was
18:34completely
18:34delivered.
18:35She was
18:36totally healed.
18:37She was
18:37so happy
18:38she couldn't
18:39believe what
18:39it felt
18:40like to
18:41think like
18:42a human
18:42being again,
18:43to have
18:44her emotions
18:45restored and
18:45actually be
18:46able to
18:47love again,
18:49to feel
18:51again,
18:52not to
18:53hate anymore,
18:54not to
18:55live in
18:56clinical
18:56depression
18:57anymore.
18:57This woman
18:58had had a
18:59deliverance
18:59that was
19:00off the
19:00chain.
19:02Spectacular.
19:04She's the
19:05only person
19:06in the
19:06New Testament
19:07other than
19:08the boy
19:09in Mark
19:09chapter 9
19:10where it
19:10says,
19:11notes that
19:12she was
19:13so heavily
19:15infected with
19:16demons,
19:18enormous
19:19satanic
19:20bondage,
19:22because the
19:23Bible
19:23specifically
19:24brought out
19:27that she
19:28had seven
19:29demons that
19:30she had
19:30been delivered
19:31of.
19:34I don't
19:35know if I've
19:35ever met
19:36anybody with
19:36just seven
19:37demons.
19:38She had
19:39seven
19:39controllers,
19:41seven
19:42monster
19:42demons,
19:43and they're
19:43running the
19:44rest of the
19:45demons,
19:45and she
19:46was a
19:46woman of
19:47utter and
19:47total
19:48misery.
19:50Now she
19:51comes back
19:51to the
19:52tomb,
19:53and she
19:54can't
19:54believe her
19:55eyes.
19:58she talks
19:58to two
19:59angels in
20:00the tomb,
20:00verse 12,
20:01John 20,
20:02verse 12.
20:03She sees
20:04two angels
20:05there,
20:05and they
20:06start talking
20:07to her.
20:09And she
20:10asks the
20:10angels,
20:12they must have
20:13looked like
20:13humans,
20:14hey,
20:16where's
20:16Jesus'
20:17body?
20:19Where's he
20:19at?
20:20I'll come
20:20get him.
20:21Just tell me
20:21where he
20:22is.
20:27Just tell
20:28me where
20:28he is.
20:32They
20:33said,
20:33hey,
20:33why are
20:33you weeping?
20:34What are
20:35you crying
20:35about?
20:37She said,
20:38well,
20:39they have
20:41taken away
20:42my
20:43Lord,
20:45and I
20:47don't
20:48see
20:50Edu,
20:51I don't
20:52know.
20:52Edu,
20:53see,
20:53means to
20:54visually
20:54see.
20:54I can't
20:55see where
20:56they took
20:57him.
21:00And when
21:01she said
21:01that,
21:02she actually
21:02turns around
21:03and leaves
21:04two angels
21:06behind her.
21:07This is the
21:08level of
21:08depression and
21:09fear and
21:10sorrow she's
21:11going through.
21:12She had this
21:13brand new
21:13incredible life
21:15where she was
21:16delivered from
21:17these horrible
21:19spirits and
21:20all of her
21:20horrible
21:22sins.
21:23This woman
21:24put the
21:25S in
21:25sin.
21:27And she
21:28was completely
21:29delivered and
21:29now everything
21:31she hoped and
21:32dreamed for
21:33was gone.
21:36And she
21:37actually turns
21:38away from
21:38two angels,
21:39doesn't want to
21:40talk to them
21:40anymore.
21:41Most people
21:42would love to
21:43sit down and
21:43talk to angels
21:44by the hour,
21:45not her.
21:45She just
21:46turns around
21:46in a
21:47complete
21:48state of
21:49trauma and
21:51she turns
21:52around and
21:52sees a
21:53guy.
21:55Same
21:55Greek word.
21:59She did
22:00not see
22:00that Jesus,
22:03that it was
22:03Jesus.
22:04She couldn't
22:05see it.
22:06Now, how does
22:06that work?
22:07Well, I don't
22:07know.
22:08Somehow her
22:08vision, she
22:11saw his face,
22:12but it didn't
22:13recognize that
22:15it was Christ.
22:16Same thing
22:16happened on the
22:17Emmaus road with
22:18the two apostles.
22:19disciples, they
22:20didn't see him
22:21either.
22:22They didn't, the
22:22same Greek
22:23words,
22:23edu.
22:26And he was
22:27standing there
22:27and she
22:29couldn't make
22:30it out.
22:31Strangest thing
22:31you've ever
22:32seen.
22:33And Jesus
22:34says to her,
22:35woman, why
22:36are you weeping?
22:37Now, this is the
22:37Greek word for
22:39weeping there,
22:40is the Greek
22:41word kleio,
22:43which is not
22:44the regular
22:45Greek word for
22:45crying.
22:47means to
22:48just shed a
22:48few tears
22:49like you
22:49would cry a
22:50little bit
22:50at a funeral
22:52or something.
22:53Kleio means
22:54that you are
22:55having a
22:55crying jag.
22:58She's wailing.
23:01She's wailing.
23:02She's so sick
23:04because she's
23:05lost everything.
23:06She had, she
23:07was going to
23:07spend the rest
23:08of her life
23:08with Jesus.
23:09That was her
23:09plan.
23:10And she
23:11didn't want
23:11to leave
23:13him or stop
23:13serving him
23:14ever.
23:16She was
23:16going to
23:16follow him
23:17and support
23:18him and
23:18serve him
23:19until the
23:19day she
23:20died.
23:21And suddenly
23:22he's gone.
23:24Everything
23:25ripped out
23:26again, just
23:28like her
23:28childhood, just
23:29like her
23:29marriages.
23:31Her soul
23:32ripped out
23:33again.
23:34She's destroyed
23:35and she's
23:37wailing.
23:38She's having
23:39a crying
23:39jag.
23:40She can't
23:40stop crying.
23:44And Jesus
23:44said, why
23:45are you
23:45wailing like
23:46that?
23:46Who are
23:47you looking
23:47for?
23:48And she
23:49thought he
23:50was the
23:53caporus, the
23:54gardener, the
23:55guy that did
23:56the landscaping.
24:00And she
24:01said to him,
24:02remember, this
24:03was a fancy
24:03grave.
24:04This was a
24:05sepulcher that
24:07Joseph had
24:08purchased and
24:10renovated, and
24:11it was for
24:13rich people.
24:15Joseph was
24:16rich, family
24:17was rich, and
24:19that's how they
24:19do with
24:20sepulchers, as
24:20you know.
24:21These tombs had
24:22all kinds of
24:23relatives in
24:23there.
24:24Grandma,
24:25grandpa,
24:25granddad, they
24:27all died and
24:27went to the
24:28same set, and
24:28they kept the
24:29family together.
24:31So Joseph had
24:32prepared that
24:33tomb for his
24:33family.
24:35They were all
24:36going to be
24:36together after
24:37they were
24:37dead.
24:38Well, he
24:39gave it to
24:39Jesus instead.
24:42So it's a
24:43fancy sepulcher
24:44in a nice
24:45area.
24:46There's a
24:47garden there,
24:47and there's
24:48gardeners that
24:49keep flowers
24:52up and
24:52landscaping and
24:54cleaning.
24:55She thought he
24:56was just a
24:57landscaper.
24:58Yeah.
25:01And she
25:02says to him,
25:02hey, have
25:03you taken
25:03him anywhere?
25:06tell me where
25:07you took
25:07him.
25:07I'll just, I'll
25:08come get
25:08him, I'll
25:09take him
25:09away.
25:10No problem.
25:12And then
25:12Jesus says
25:13something really
25:14interesting,
25:15which is
25:16exactly what
25:16he's doing
25:17to you.
25:17Today, on
25:18Resurrection
25:19Sunday, he
25:21says her
25:21name, but
25:23he doesn't
25:23just say her
25:24name, Maria.
25:26He says
25:27Maria, just
25:29like he had
25:30always said
25:31it the same
25:32way, personal,
25:35personal.
25:37It wasn't
25:38just Maria.
25:39There were all
25:40kinds of people
25:40that had that
25:41name back
25:41then that was
25:42a common
25:42name.
25:43He said it
25:44the way he
25:45said it.
25:47And as soon
25:48as she heard
25:49him call her
25:50name the
25:52way he had
25:53always said
25:54it to her,
25:57boom,
25:58boom, it
26:00hits.
26:02That's
26:03exactly what
26:03the Lord's
26:04doing for
26:05you today on
26:06Resurrection
26:06Sunday.
26:06He's calling
26:07you, he's
26:09calling you
26:09by your
26:09name, not
26:10just your
26:11name, name,
26:12but calling
26:14you by your
26:15name.
26:20She
26:20immediately
26:21says to
26:21him,
26:23Rabboni,
26:25which is to
26:26say master
26:27teacher, or
26:27the Greek
26:28word is
26:28didaskalus,
26:30teacher.
26:32Rabboni was
26:33someone who
26:34was a teacher
26:34of the
26:35Torah.
26:37Verse 17,
26:38Jesus said
26:39to her,
26:40don't touch
26:41me.
26:42Now this is
26:42the Greek
26:42word,
26:44haptomai,
26:45which means
26:47grab me and
26:48hold me and
26:49cling to me.
26:49She was so
26:51happy to see
26:52him and her
26:53eyes had been
26:54opened that
26:56she was
26:57charging toward
26:58him to
26:59grab him
27:01and hold
27:02on to him.
27:03And he's
27:03telling her,
27:04hey, don't
27:05grab me,
27:06don't hold
27:07me down.
27:08I have not
27:09yet ascended
27:12to my
27:13father.
27:14Jesus now
27:15starts to use
27:16a series of
27:16personal pronouns.
27:18Listen to this,
27:19verse 17,
27:20really interesting.
27:21I have not
27:23ascended to
27:24my father,
27:28but go to
27:30my brothers.
27:33Listen,
27:34listen to me,
27:35this is
27:35resurrection
27:36day.

46:36was destroyed.

46:54been subtle

46:59get you
46:59to birth
47:01a desire
47:02to fight
47:03for your
47:04destiny.

47:09these gifts

47:14the sacrifices
47:14to receive
47:15them.
