00:00:01А few times in the fight, the timing has quite been there, he's not quite had the range, I think
00:00:06now, having to strut his stuff through and Collard just stretching awkwardly into that shot, again he was open for
00:00:12the counter but what I have seen him sir, as you say, happy now to see this one out and
00:00:16take the win.
00:00:17And baited his opponent as well, you can see the way he's trying, I expect him to do a whole
00:00:21lot of chaps, you know, with this, now his left chaps, that's very steep as well, you can see the
00:00:26way he's trying to frustrate his opponent, get him to, you know, do some unorthodox things, like he was like
00:00:31a sledgehammer there, and of course didn't get through.
00:00:37It's been nice to see from Waha, because sadly we didn't get to see much of that against Mark Chamberlain.
00:00:43Oh man, that was, that was fireworks, coming straight at him, no time to show, showboot or do anything in
00:00:49that one.
00:00:51Oops, that's that uppercut we talked about.
00:00:55Yeah, wobbled on a couple of occasions there, Waha just picking his shots, there's a collar came forward.
00:01:05Final minute of our opening fight here at Chaos in the Ring.
00:01:12Waha wearing the flags of Nigeria and Ghana, where he now resides.
00:01:17Move to Ghana, as a young child, believing it would benefit his boxing career more.
00:01:24And I do think it has, judging from, you know, how far and wide he's been able to travel,
00:01:29and especially, you know, like we said, fighting on the same card, on the same night as Yusuke Fury.
00:01:36That's absolutely crazy.
00:01:39Oops, there's that counter, again.
00:01:43Scoring right hand and then shows that fleet of foot styles.
00:01:50Bit of naz about this performance at times.
00:01:56I think a lot of his fans will not be too happy about this,
00:02:00because they feel that he can actually do far better than what he's doing right now,
00:02:04but I think it's just taking things easy.
00:02:08Final few seconds of what will surely be a shutout win for Olawson Wahab,
00:02:13who ends with a little flurry, but that was good stuff from the Nigerian now,
00:02:19residing in Ghana, dominant from start to finish.
00:02:26And he's definitely cashed this one.
00:02:31Well, we were going to let you know about Warnley Dubois,
00:02:34which comes your way from Manchester's Co-op Live next week.
00:02:40But in the ring, we've just been told there's going to be a seventh round.
00:02:45Some slight confusion, this was scheduled for six.
00:02:54Well, it quite literally is chaos in the ring here,
00:02:58and it looks as though we are going to get a seventh,
00:02:59even though this was scheduled for six.
00:03:04I just hope that this is not going to cause some confusion for the boxers.
00:03:07You can see the face of Minkola there, you know, had a grin on it, you know,
00:03:12possibly not expected to be stepping out back into the ring.
00:03:15I think Minkola believes this is the end of the fight,
00:03:18and I think the referee is now giving them the instructions that
00:03:22this was a six-rounder.
00:03:24Wahab now can celebrate, he knows he's done enough.
00:03:27Yeah, I think the referee has gone on to say,
00:03:31possibly it's not going to be a fair situation when the boxer prepares for six,
00:03:34and then you tell him he's got another round to go.
00:03:37So I think they're staying with those six rounds.
00:03:39And of course, I can see Referee Shego and De Sonia there,
00:03:44telling the judges to wrap up with their score sheets,
00:03:47and so he can have them, of course, and hand it over to the ring announcer.
00:03:50Well, it was good action, but six rounds was quite enough,
00:03:54and we're just waiting for the formalities and the paperwork to be sorted out.
00:04:01Very shortly, Victor Godfrey will let us know, barring an absolute miracle,
00:04:08That's not happening.
00:04:09That Harlow Aston Wahab has indeed brought up a 26th win of his pro career.
00:04:20Always a worry when the maths takes this long though,
00:04:23but surely they've not seen anything other than a shutout win.
00:04:27Yeah, absolutely.
00:04:29It should be a straight unanimous point from what we saw here from the commentary side,
00:04:33and we'll just wait for the official result, like you said,
00:04:36and that's the real result.
00:04:39No matter what, whatever we, you know, were able to talk about during the commentaries,
00:04:42it is the judges that, you know, have the final say.
00:04:54Promoter, is he?
00:04:56Adamu has made his way into the ring to quicken the pace.
00:05:00What a job he's done as well as another magnificent event he's put on here.
00:05:05Yeah, especially when he's following up on that absolutely fantastic show,
00:05:10for 30 December, that was held also in Lagos, but, you know, at a different venue.
00:05:18Our referee, Alassane, Oli Essigan, waiting patiently.
00:05:24I think, I think Saddam Colin knows what the result's going to be, but,
00:05:28anyway, let's find out what has happened.
00:05:32It's time to hand it back to Victor Godfrey.
00:05:38Ladies and gentlemen, after six rounds of action, we head over to the judge's card.
00:05:47The first judge scores this 54-60 in favor of the blue corner.
00:06:02And our third judge scores this 54-60 in favor of the blue corner.
00:06:09And your winner, by unanimous decision, Joshua Oluwashun, the Wealth Machine.
00:06:18Waha!
00:06:22Much like the traffic in Lagos, we got there in the end.
00:06:26The right decision is a Wahab victory.
00:06:29He moves on to 26-2.
00:06:32It was a good fight, but it was definitely the right call.
00:06:36Wahab gets it.
00:06:38Yeah, absolutely.
00:06:38But you could also see that in Kohler, like we said, knows that he definitely didn't do so much in
00:06:43this one.
00:07:01He's happy to sign out.
00:07:02He's becoming out of here.
00:07:06As expected, Wahab with the victory.
00:07:09Maybe made it harder than he should have been.
00:07:11Obviously, he wants to go to another level.
00:07:13And I feel like he still needs a couple more fights just like that to prove that he is over
00:07:18that Mark Chamberlain defeat.
00:07:19But nonetheless, the most important thing for him was to get the victory.
00:07:22And that's what he got here tonight to open the card.
00:07:25Chaos in the ring at Federal Palace in Lagos, Nigeria.
00:07:29Remember Adeyemo versus Modi coming up next as well.
00:07:33And a reminder that we have two mega fights on The Zone this weekend starting in Japan.
00:07:46Now we are the monster in Norway.
00:07:51Who in the world is better than that man?
00:07:53And the monster has roared!
00:07:56Junto Big Bang Nakatani!
00:08:00Oh my!
00:08:02That was devastating!
00:08:03I mean, he's among the best of the best.
00:08:06Wow!
00:08:08Unbelievable.
00:08:09The biggest Japanese fight.
00:08:11Forget about Japanese fight.
00:08:12One of the biggest fights we've seen in all time.
00:08:21It goes to Biome and it feels like all of Mexico is marching with him.
00:08:27WBO, WBA, unified champion, put it all along.
00:08:40Welcome to Las Vegas, a place where the light shines the brightest and the biggest of superstars come out to
00:08:46play.
00:08:53The Cruiserweight unification battle between David Benavidez and Gilberto Ramirez rounds off what is a bumper day of action on
00:09:00The Zone.
00:09:01It all begins with the biggest fight in Japanese boxing history.
00:09:03It's pound for pound superstars Naya Inoue and Junto Nakatani face off for the undisputed super bantamweight crown tucked in
00:09:11the middle of what promised to be an all-out welterweight war from Wolverhampton as Connor Walker meets Sam Egginton
00:09:17and it's the best way to watch all three of those live on The Zone.
00:09:25All right, welcome back inside the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos for Chaos in the Ring.
00:09:30Let's throw it back to your MCs to get on with the night.
00:09:38Our second fight of the night, Rashid Adeyemo against Nicholas Michael Umdo.
00:09:44Six three-minute rounds in the middleweight division and once again it's back to our MC, Victor Godfrey.
00:09:52Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for a second bout of the evening.
00:09:58We do have, introducing first, making his way from the red corner, Nicholas Issa Mbuana Umdo.
00:10:14Nicholas Michael Umdo, 34.
00:10:19Not quite in the twilight of his career, but he made his debut back in 2013, 15, 82.
00:10:29It's a varied record, Naren.
00:10:32Might be a varied performance tonight.
00:10:34Yeah, absolutely.
00:10:35When you look at his record, I mean, he's got 15 victories, like you said.
00:10:39Eight losses.
00:10:40That's a bit, that's a bit of a lot of losses there.
00:10:43And then, of course, two drills as well.
00:10:44So, when he comes to rounds, he's got it in abundance over 100.
00:10:49That's 140 for precise compared to his opponent who's coming up shortly.
00:10:53Then you think that he could have a chance as well based on experience.
00:10:59He brings with him the experience.
00:11:02It's a fight which Rashid Adeyemo probably needs at this stage of his career.
00:11:08And as we saw in our opening fight, an underdog opponent could prove a difficult obstacle to move.
00:11:23And now, making his way to the ring from the blue corner is Rashid Falliboy Adeyemo.
00:11:55You can hear the sense of anticipation in this arena when Rashid Adeyemo's name was read out.
00:12:03He is one of the shining lights of Nigerian boxing.
00:12:0916-2, nine knockouts.
00:12:12The Valley boy is looking to become a man.
00:12:15At 24, he's got time to do it.
00:12:18Does he need an explosive performance here at Chaos in the Ring?
00:12:21Absolutely.
00:12:22This is one of the biggest stage of boxing he's going to get.
00:12:26And the funny thing is that he's got 10 years between him and his opponent.
00:12:29So, you might want to say his opponent is a bit spent in the industry.
00:12:32But he needs to make the mark.
00:12:35So that a lot of other boxing enthusiasts across the world can know about his skill.
00:12:39And this is where he can actually bring it on.
00:12:42I know him very well.
00:12:43A very explosive boxer on his day.
00:12:44But sometimes, he could be a bit too cocky.
00:12:48And of course, a bit of a showman just like I will have as well.
00:12:53Well, the Valley boy determined to put on a show.
00:12:56He's going to strut his way all the way to the ring.
00:13:03He looks the part.
00:13:05Now, can he prove that he is ready to mix it at the highest level?
00:13:10It is a high stakes middleweight showdown between two heavy hitters.
00:13:15It promises fireworks, African pride on the line.
00:13:19And we could be in for a fast one.
00:13:25Ladies and gentlemen, this bout is scheduled for six rounds in the middleweight division.
00:13:33It is presented to you by Dr. Ezekiel Adamu of Balmoro Group Promotions in collaborations with Amerikan of Amerikan Promotions.
00:13:45This bout is sponsored by OneWin MTN, Octera, KO Box, the Lagos State Government Super Commando Energy Drink,

00:14:04This bout is supervised by the Lagos State Sports Commission with the Director General, Mr. Lekol Fatidou.
00:14:10And this fight is sanctioned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control, the President, Dr. Rafiw Oladeko.
00:14:17Supervising at ringside is Ezekiel Oshinmi, and Team Timekeeper is Olushala Adjala.
00:14:25Our judges at ringside are Adesonya Oluwasegun, Adebayo Oluwakemi, and Abimbola Balogun.
00:14:33And our referee is Constance John Chiagoram.
00:14:38We have our officials in the ring, we have our fighters in the ring, but Lagos, I have to ask
00:14:44you a question.
00:14:45Are you ready?
00:14:50Lagos, are you ready?
00:14:55Introducing first from the red corner, he is weighing all black trunks, weighing officially at 71 kilograms.
00:15:03He has a fight record of 25 bouts, 15 wins, 11 by knockout, 8 losses, and 2 draws.
00:15:10All the way from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, make some noise, and welcome, Nicholas, Issa, Ambuana, Amdo.
00:15:23And fighting from the blue corner, weighing white trunks, weighing officially 71.8 kilograms, with a fight record of 18
00:15:35bouts, 60 wins, 9 by way of knockouts, 2 losses, and no draws.
00:15:41From Lagos, Nigeria, he is the former Nigerian middleweight champion, Rashid Fallibor Adebayor.
00:16:10Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Constance John Chiagoram, the Secretary for the Bouts.
00:16:27Our second fight of the evening, then, and a chance to see the Falliboy, Rashid Adeyemo.
00:16:37And if you think he looks familiar, that's because we've seen him on the zone before as well.
00:16:42He represented Nigeria at the WBC Grand Prix last year.
00:16:46He lost in the opening round on that occasion to Isaac Torres.
00:16:51Now looking to put on a show against Nicholas Michael Amdo.
00:16:54He is a bright prospect, Adeyemo, he's got plenty of fans in the building.
00:16:59What do you want to see from him tonight?
00:17:01I want to see his explosive boxing, and he's already started off right from the first 10 seconds,
00:17:06and it looks like he's up against the boxer who's not scared to get it.
00:17:10Talking about Ngo, and you can see Ngo putting in some combinations.
00:17:13But Ngo needs to be very careful, because Adeyemo can look very deceitful.
00:17:18You look at him, you think it's a pearl boxer, but he's got some finishing power in him.
00:17:24Ngo willing to come out swinging and landing a couple of decent blows there, a right hand over the top
00:17:29as well.
00:17:33Well, Adeyemo came out with all the swagger, but he's had to eat a few shots in Mendo in this
00:17:38opening round.
00:17:40Steve Chapp there, left one coming from Adeyemo, and of course, Ngo still pressing forward.
00:17:46Like I said, he needs to be very careful.
00:17:48Adeyemo has a way of, you know, throwing a combination of about four or five punches that can actually set
00:17:54you off time.
00:17:58Stretching into that, Adeyemo, some of his work a little laboured.
00:18:04Can the valley boy take advantage of that, tries to fire that uppercutting?
00:18:08Can you see the green on Adeyemo's face?
00:18:11It's like he knows that the way this box is going.
00:18:14All I need to do is step it up a few, you know, seconds.
00:18:18And I'm going to get this man, because it's a bit wobbly the way he's going forward.
00:18:22You can look at him there, you see it, you see it.
00:18:24Just staggered the feet there, Mendo on slightly unsteady.
00:18:30Balance just went a little bit there.
00:18:34Eats that jab again.
00:18:38Just needs to set himself, Adeyemo.
00:18:43Already looking like he's got the measure of the man from Tanzania.
00:18:51I think he's going to be a counter punch.
00:18:56That could actually catch him though, the way he's launching forward.
00:19:05Again, that big uppercutious miss, but he connected for the second,
00:19:08and backs Mendo now up into the corner and goes to work.
00:19:12His crowd are on their feet, but how much longer will Mendo be there?
00:19:17Ain't that left hand as well, he's in real trouble here.
00:19:20Good stiff right from Adeyemo.
00:19:22Sensibly just takes a couple of steps back, doesn't smother his work.
00:19:25Yeah, because the way he does, you know, slinging, and those punches,
00:19:29you don't still want to get caught with it.
00:19:31He's shown that he's a very, you know, durable boxer,
00:19:34but like you said, how long is he going to stand in there for?
00:19:36There were so many good punches, landing straight to the face,
00:19:40and he seemed to be struggling with them.
00:19:44And happy to take a couple on the bell,
00:19:47Adeyemo had seen everything that Mendo has to throw.
00:19:51And that was an impressive opening round.
00:19:54Absolutely impressive.
00:19:55From both boxers as well,
00:19:57I was very impressed with the fact that Mendo didn't allow,
00:20:01you know, Adeyemo to steal the show.
00:20:02Every time he got caught, he always smut back.
00:20:06But, you know, he was always leaving himself open.
00:20:08Watch that, he's going for those combinations.
00:20:09But you can see the way Adeyemo catches it,
00:20:11with very quick two combinations with his left.
00:20:15And there he goes again, missing that uppercut,
00:20:17but gets caught again as well.
00:20:20And you can see him staggered there.
00:20:22Adeyemo catches him with a massive uppercut there.
00:20:25Another massive one there.
00:20:33And I thought he wasn't going to last at that point in time,
00:20:35but I thought Adeyemo, like you said,
00:20:37took a few steps back,
00:20:39knowing that he has his boxer.
00:20:42There was a left hand from Mendo that landed
00:20:45at the start of that run of replays,
00:20:47which Adeyemo took flush,
00:20:50didn't even wince,
00:20:51and I think from that moment onwards,
00:20:53he's felt really comfortable in this one.
00:20:55I don't think Mendo can hurt him.
00:20:57The question now is,
00:20:58can Adeyemo get him out of there?
00:21:01Exactly, and you see Mendo coming out strong again.
00:21:03I like the fact that he's not shirking,
00:21:05he's going in there,
00:21:06you know, trying to ensure that he makes life difficult,
00:21:09but it gets caught again with that very sharp left hook.
00:21:13Oh, there.
00:21:15Really stiff, that left of the body,
00:21:16that really hurt, that was banging the ribcage.
00:21:23Guilty of using the elbow there,
00:21:25but both men have got a really wide arcing swing about them,
00:21:28and that can happen.
00:21:30Lovely jab,
00:21:31that rocked him down right back on his haunches.
00:21:34Absolutely, and there's a way Adeyemo goes around
00:21:37with this thing,
00:21:37five boy,
00:21:38he picks the punches,
00:21:39and he's always landing flush every time he does.
00:21:44Just varying the angle,
00:21:46that wide spread stance,
00:21:48as he just skips around.
00:21:53He seems more than happy to take a couple here.
00:21:56Shades of the first fight in the evening,
00:21:58and then it was a good right hand there from Mendoza,
00:22:00but it was flush,
00:22:01and it did nothing.
00:22:02Didn't even look like he actually rocked
00:22:05Adeyemo in any way.
00:22:07Oh, another big one there,
00:22:09that's a fantastic counter coming from Adeyemo.
00:22:13Happy to load up here,
00:22:15Adeyemo,
00:22:16but he's taking a lot of shots,
00:22:17and perhaps that's what the judges saw
00:22:19in our last fight.
00:22:20They saw the work rate of the opponent,
00:22:22who for us was clearly behind on the card,
00:22:24but has that ended up swaying them?
00:22:26We could get a similar scenario here.
00:22:28Yeah, absolutely.
00:22:30But I haven't seen a lot of those indoor punches,
00:22:32you know, landing,
00:22:33because Adeyemo looks like he's actually baiting his opening,
00:22:36keeping his guards up,
00:22:37and waiting for him to drop those guards
00:22:39while trying to punch out.
00:22:40You can see that he's losing balance
00:22:42while even throwing punches as well.
00:22:44Yeah, it's a bit wide,
00:22:46a little bit at Gainley,
00:22:47and again that left hand that lands well,
00:22:49brother Adeyemo.
00:22:50There's a wide smile on his face
00:22:53as that one found the target.
00:22:58Really like the way he just takes those little steps back,
00:23:01just adjusting the range before he fires in again.
00:23:05I think he needs to also be very careful.
00:23:08You know, he's also leaving himself open as well.
00:23:10I think he's getting a bit too cocky.
00:23:12I told you that he can be a bit of Wahab,
00:23:14a little show as well.
00:23:15You know, you cannot afford to allow this man
00:23:17to keep throwing those punches.
00:23:18He needs to stick out his jabs.
00:23:20He knows that the punches are not giving him problems,
00:23:22but on the judges' scorecard,
00:23:24if he lands, he's going to score.
00:23:29There's something to be said
00:23:31for sticking to the basics,
00:23:34using that jab.
00:23:34It's a strong jab from Adeyemo.
00:23:36It's already been scoring as he gestures
00:23:39to a stack of fans that he's got at the back of this arena
00:23:43who have traveled in their numbers.
00:23:47Oh, he catches in there,
00:23:48and he almost lost balance once again.
00:23:49I expected him to pounce on him like a lion
00:23:52and trying to get him out of there.
00:23:53Look at that defensive boxing.
00:23:54You know, he's pulling himself to the corner,
00:23:56but also dragging Ndoh there.
00:24:00Tough second round for Ndohu.

00:24:33take him out.
