00:09amid concerns about insider trading, according to CNBC.
00:14The move followed actions involving Calci and Polymarket,
00:18including Calci suspending and fining political candidates for insider trading on April 22nd.
00:24On April 23rd, U.S. Army Special Forces soldier Gannon Ken Van Dyke
00:29was arrested and accused of using classified information
00:32to place bets on Polymarket tied to a military mission,
00:35generating nearly $410,000 in winnings.
00:39Lawmakers also urged the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to restrict such markets.
00:45Calci CEO Tarek Mansour praised the Senate's ban on lawmakers trading on prediction markets,
00:50said the company already blocks such activity.
