00:02This morning, oil prices are spiking as President Trump doubles down on his military blockade of
00:08Iran. Brent crude jumped above $125 a barrel overnight, a new wartime high before easing
00:16back, but still holding well above $100. Here at home, the national average for gas
00:21has climbed to about $4.30 a gallon, the highest in nearly four years. This comes as Trump warns
00:28Iran, it, quote, better get smart soon. According to NBC News, his national security team has
00:35presented multiple options as Iran continues to disrupt traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
00:41But the president is holding his line, saying the blockade will stay in place until Iran agrees
00:47to a deal addressing its nuclear program. Well, the blockade is genius, okay? The blockade has
00:53been 100% foolproof. It shows how good our Navy is, I can tell you that. We're not going to
00:58let
00:58Iran have a nuclear weapon. And we've knocked out their Navy, we've knocked out their Air Force,
01:05we've knocked out their anti-aircraft, everything, apparatus, everything they have, their radar,
01:11they have very little left. And they have some missiles, a small percentage. They have a small
01:17percentage of missile-making facilities. We've knocked out about 80% of them. The rest could
01:23come very quickly if we don't make a deal. Iran is now warning it will not tolerate the blockade
01:29and says it will respond if it continues. Meanwhile, the USS Gerald Ford is heading home after a record
01:35deployment of more than 300 days, with American officials saying it will leave the region in the
01:41coming days. And there are new tensions with Europe. German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz recently said
01:47the United States is being humiliated by Iran and criticized what he called a lack of strategy.
01:54Now Trump is threatening to pull U.S. troops out of Germany as that dispute escalates.
