00:00He's back out there high-fiving his teammates and talking to his coaches, so we'll keep an eye on that,
00:04but Scotty looks good.
00:05It looks like, Alyssa, A.J. Lawson is going to start this second half of the Raptors.
00:11How did Alyssa not mention A.J. Lawson? Is he not a fellow Gamecock?
00:16We have South Carolina on the floor, in the booth, and with a microphone tonight as Barrett hits a chance
00:23for three to open up this third quarter.
00:26This Toronto team, young and experienced, and they have come in eyes wide open tonight on the road.
00:32A nice screen by Pirtle. That got A.J. into the lane.
00:38Caught in between, which you didn't know which way to go right there.
00:44Garrett Allen. Mr. Barrett is making his free throws now also, Kirstie.
00:5016 points for A.J. Barrett here in game number five.
00:54Winner of this game is going to be a win away from the trip to round two.
00:58A long way to go, but if the Raptors can steal it on the road, they will have home court
01:02coming up Friday night in Toronto.
01:06The Cavs big. Don't start finishing inside. They will have a lead.
01:12Garrett works his way into the lane. Pass deflected by Mitchell out of bounds.
01:19And obviously the crowd now is going to be a little bit less coming into the second half, unless they
01:23get a run here.
01:24But it just didn't have that, outside of the first quarter, final six minutes, the intensity you would expect from
01:31the Cavaliers in a 2-2 game at home.
01:33Well, the intensity starts with the players, and that's why the crowd was not into it.
01:39Barrett got the whistle, knocked down on the shot.
01:42R.J. Barrett, two more free throws here in the first minute of this first quarter.
01:47R.J. Barrett has been ultra-aggressive since this series headed up to Toronto, and he has just built a
01:55bridge right to it.
01:56But he's doing the exact same thing right now, and he started the second half.
02:02Again, you know the message of Kenny Atkinson, his team was, we've got to be the more aggressive team.
02:06We've got to take it to them.
02:07Well, guess who's doing that? R.J. Barrett.
02:09R.J. Barrett with that free throw now has 17 points in the game.
02:15Barrett was averaging 24-3 in this series, coming in 19 points per game in the regular year.
02:21Listen, you call it. This is a very quiet building right now.
02:24Yeah, and I think a little nervous, too.
02:26You think of the last couple of years that they won a seven-game series two years ago against Orlando.
02:31And they won the last two years. They won in the first round.
02:34That's right. And then, of course, Indiana happened.
02:36The Pacers made their run to the NBA Finals to Game 7, and that will bring the crowd to life
02:43as Mitchell elevates.
02:46Donovan Mitchell knew he needed to step up and do something. He did just that.
02:51The Cavs down 10, and Barnes lost it out of bounds.
02:54So the three-pointer and the turnover by the Raptors.
02:58Unforced error. See if this does get the Cavs going.
03:03The crowd just settling back in was a whiteout here tonight.
03:06White t-shirts for everybody, and that's five points in a row for Donovan Mitchell.
03:10Well, he's got Donovan Mitchell going, which is good news for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
03:17A.J. Lawson, former two-way player to standard contract, came up short on the jumper.
03:22Mobley was on the deck, almost had the rebound, and he gets tied up.
03:25And he'll have a major size advantage on the free-throw line.
03:30Donovan Mitchell taking things into his own hands.
03:33He attacks Jacoby Walter.
03:36The help was late coming.
03:38Mr. Mitchell left nothing to chance.
03:43This will be Mobley and Lawson here.
03:49And now Barnes and Harden start pushing.
03:54And they're separated by Scott Foster.
03:56Things get a little testy here early in the third quarter.
03:59As should be the case when you get to Game 5 in the playoffs, you're tired of looking at the
04:04other team.
04:05James upset because he's trying to get set up along that dotted line circle, and Scottie's leaning on him.
04:09And he's like, get off me.
04:13Now Mobley and Lawson ready.
04:17Scott Foster moving guys around.
04:19Ball skyward, and Toronto wins the tap.
04:22A couple of empty possessions for the Raptors.
04:26Five straight points for Cleveland.
04:28Jarrett Allen.
04:29Nice lefty spinning hook.
04:31There's one of the bigs from Cleveland coming alive.
04:37Well, you mentioned it.
04:38It was a game of runs in the first half.
04:40And right now, Cleveland's trying to run themselves back into this one.
04:47Scottie Bynes, another no look to Lawson.
04:50Blocked by Allen.
04:53Jarrett Allen doing it on both ends.
04:58Mitchell, the fake.
05:00Barnes commits the foul.
05:01Barnes wiped out, trying to stay on his feet.
05:04And tripped Donovan Mitchell.
05:05That was a really good look right here to Lawson.
05:10Jarrett Allen, the big guy, and he took care of it right away.
05:14Good defense again.
05:16Real night and day.
05:17First couple possessions from Cleveland.
05:19And all of a sudden, that Donovan Mitchell dunk appeared to have got them jump-started.
05:24And, in fact, it jump-started a 6-0 run.
05:28Jarrett Allen, with that blocked shot, has been terrific in the series.
05:32And the other big, Evan Mobley.
05:34Dribbles to the rim and flushes.
05:36Eight straight points.
05:38Timeout, Toronto.
05:39Cleveland right back in the game.
05:41Sometimes it's your best player gets things going.
05:44That's what happened to the Cavs.
05:46Good look here.
05:48Evan Mobley.
05:48This wasn't soft at all.
05:50Emphatic finish.
05:59Coming up next, Game 5, Rockets and Lakers.
06:02LeBron James warming up.
06:04L.A., a 3-1 lead.
06:05Second chance to close it out at home against Houston.
06:08And Shaq, Ernie, Kenny, and Chuck will break it all down on Inside the NBA.
06:11We know Kevin Durant not available for the Rockets again.
06:14But Arsham Sharani, a disreporting Lakers star.
06:17Austin Reeves cleared the return for Game 5.
06:20And it's coming up right after us here on ESPN.
06:24Right now, the Cavaliers willing themselves back into Game 5.
06:28This series tied at 2.
06:30They're doing it with defense.
06:32They did a really good job.
06:33First couple possessions, they seemed out to lunch.
06:36That Donovan Mitchell dunk got them going.
06:38And they are getting after the Raptors right now.
06:42Toronto had matched its largest lead at 12.
06:45It is down to 4.
06:46Pirtle deep whistle to the line.
06:49Donovan Mitchell raises his hand, says foul on knee, and going to reach toward the lower ribcage there as well.
06:55As Mitchell picks up his second as he walks it off.
06:58Dr. Pirtle's done a really good job moving without the ball, getting himself open.
07:03That is three quick fouls.
07:05There's a bragging on the Cleveland defense, but three quick fouls already in, what, two and a half minutes.
07:13Pirtle missing on the first free throw.
07:16And is the fifth free throw miss for the Raptors so far tonight.
07:20Well, this is not, uh, Yakla Pirtle's forte, the free throw line.
07:24This is 60% free thrower in the regular season.
07:28Had himself his best ever field goal percentage year.
07:3370%.
07:34Splits the pair.
07:37Toronto is the coach.
07:38What are you talking about?
07:39I can make free throws.
07:40I just saw the 80 flip for Toronto, and I remembered, like, wasn't that, like, halfway through the fourth quarter
07:45on Sunday afternoon?
07:46Exactly.
07:47Here's Mitchell.
07:49Flip shot, no.
07:53Scotty Barnes checking behind him, seeing where Mitchell is.
07:55Now he's going to attack Mobley.
07:58Squares.
07:58Knew he had missed it, chasing it.
08:00Rebound Cleveland.
08:01Nice contest by Evan Mobley.
08:05James Harden, who led the Cleveland comeback down 12 in the first quarter.
08:09To Allen.
08:10Short roll to Mobley for the bucket.
08:12Well, we asked for the bigs to show up, and they have showed up in the third quarter.
08:17Scoring, passing, blocking shots.
08:20Cleveland now within three.
08:23The ball shed's been big off the bench for the Raptors.
08:25Floater, left hand, no.
08:27Tries to save it at 6-1.
08:29Negotiates the trees.
08:31And sends it outside.
08:35Barrett attacks Strews.
08:37Blocked by Allen, his second of the third quarter.
08:40Jared Allen has come to play in the second half.
08:45Both times it looked like Toronto had an opportunity inside.
08:49Jared Allen helping off the ball.
08:52Denied him both times.
08:53That's now 10 blocks for Jared Allen in the last three and a half games.
08:58There's that run.
08:59Cleveland's been converting inside.
09:03Toronto able to keep it alive, and Jamal Shedd such a pest at that size.
09:08Now, when you don't know what to say about somebody, you said he has the nose for the ball.
09:11Whether it's on the floor, off the rim, anywhere, Jamal Shedd finds a way to get possession of the ball.
09:18Good game off the bench with 12.
09:21Whistle shot.
09:22Mobley, no.
09:23Free throw's coming for Cleveland.
09:27I don't know whether it's a concerted effort or not from Kenny Atkinson, but all of a sudden, the ball's
09:32ending up in Mobley and Jarrett Allen's hands in the half court.
09:36Part of that also, Brandon Ingram's size being off the floor.
09:39For sure.
09:43Mobley will shoot a pair.
09:45Three for four at the line, make it four for five.
09:48And tomorrow, we're going to have another NBA playoff doubleheader.
09:51Jalen Brunson and the Knicks facing C.J. McCollum and the Hawks, 7 Eastern time.
09:55And then it's Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets against Julius Randle and the Timberwolves.
10:0010 Eastern coverage begins with inside the NBA at 6 Eastern time.
10:04How about the pride of the Patriot League, C.J. McCollum from Lehigh University.
10:10Walter was hot in the first half from deep, does not hit there.
10:14A huge win for the Knicks last night to go up 3-2 against Atlanta.
10:19Allen inside again, scoring for Cleveland.
10:22Man, that was against Jaco Pertle.
10:24They're not just taking advantage of the Ingram absence.
10:29Toronto's lead has been cut to two.
10:31They led by 12 earlier in the third.
10:34Barrett takes on Mobley, wards him off, and gets it to fall.
10:38Is that what you call wards him off?
10:40He moved him off the block.
10:42It's a veteran move.
10:43It's called a forearm.
10:44A forearm with no whistle.
10:46Over the top, Allen.
10:48They're taking advantage of the smaller team, but Allen could not keep the handle.
10:52Numbers.
10:53Barrett leaks out two more for the Raptors.
10:57Fast break points are incredible.
10:59It was 17-2 at halftime in favor of the Raptors.
11:06Garrett Allen and Evan Mobley have teamed up for nine points in this third quarter so far.
11:11And another Cleveland turno.
11:13Nice play by Jacoby Walter.
11:15Garrett sprays it in the corner.
11:16There's that man Shed again.
11:19Three-pointer for Jamal Shed.
11:21Timeout Cleveland.
11:23Cavs have gotten it to within two, but the Raptors have rebuilt the lead.
11:30NBA first round, presented by Popeyes.
11:33It's brought to you by Google.
11:36And Burger King.
11:38You rule.
11:42Time now for Own the Dream.
11:44Brought to you by Rocket Mortgage.
11:46Well, here's the defense inside.
11:48Scotty Barnes strips Jared Allen.
11:50Hurdle touched it.
11:51Shed delivers the pass.
11:53Barrett with the finish.
11:54Watch all the Raptors involved in these plays.
11:57Jacoby Walter knocks it loose.
11:59Scotty Barnes.
12:00RJ Barrett.
12:01I'll finish this time.
12:03Jamal Shed from the corner.
12:05It'll take Rocket Mortgage in Rocket Arena.
12:08Had that in mind, but that's what happened.
12:11And a great response by the Toronto Raptors, PJ, after the Cavaliers got it down to two.
12:16Seven straight points, and there's a look at everything you've been talking about.
12:19Fast break points, unbelievably, 22-4.
12:23That's keyed by their defense, the Toronto Raptors.
12:28Cleveland was making that run by going inside all their shots in this third quarter.
12:33All eight of them have been inside.
12:34They're six of eight.
12:35Yeah, Donovan Duncan, and they got the bigs.
12:37They got Allen and Mobley involved.
12:40And they stay away from the turnovers.
12:43Max Struis back in.
12:45Harden stops at half court with five to shoot.
12:48Struis got to make something happen.
12:49How about take it right to the rack?
12:51Max Struis did.
12:52Well, they missed Max Struis.
12:54He missed the first 67 games for Cleveland.
12:59Had a left foot surgery.
13:00Didn't make his debut until March.
13:03But he was shooting 43% from deep in this series,
13:06and that's what they were hoping more from him tonight.
13:10Struis now defending.
13:12Barnes fouled.
13:13All kinds of bodies coming down to surround Barnes.
13:17That will be the fourth team foul against Cleveland.
13:21Another one of Alyssa's Gamecocks on the floor.
13:27For the very South Carolina feel.
13:28Yes, it does.
13:30Colin Murray Boyle's checking in.
13:32Rookie from South Carolina, Scotty Barnes, headed to the free throw line.
13:37Gave us a little bit of a scare, and maybe everyone north of the border
13:40when he was limping a bit with the knee late in the first half.
13:45You have to say rookie when you talk CNB, because he does not play like a rookie.
13:50He's been a little quiet tonight, but he has been a dominant player.
13:53Another miss from the free throw line.
13:56Murray Boyle's, who was the number nine pick of the draft.
14:00Everyone up in Toronto says he is country strong.
14:03He is hard to move at 6-7.
14:07Nine to shoot.
14:09Merrill got him started with a three in the first quarter
14:11and hits one here in the third.
14:13Kenny Atkinson has some offense on the floor right now.
14:17It's Struis and Merrill.
14:19Wade, James Harden, a bunch of shooters from the perimeter.
14:23Just under halfway to go, third quarter.
14:27Afters have led by as many as 12 a pair of times.
14:30Cleveland trying to make some inroads.
14:31Barn got deep.
14:33Looked like got defended well, but the foul's going to be called.
14:37Is that Jared Allen again?
14:38Somebody made a heck of a block there.
14:40I thought Scottie Barnes was going to dunk it.
14:43And all of a sudden, a hand came in.
14:46Let's watch this defense on the baseline.
14:49Scottie Barnes goes left along the baseline.
14:52Out Wade.
14:53There's Jared Allen.
14:54I think Wade got him on the side.
14:56Yeah.
14:57Got Dean Wade with the call.
14:58Kesty, that is the fifth team foul.
15:00We got 536 still left in this quarter.
15:04And the Raptors are in the bonus.
15:07Raptors have only committed a couple of fouls so far.
15:10First free throw for Barnes is good.
15:13It was nice of the crowd to recognize the officials.
15:1619,000 plus serenading them as Barnes hits a pair of free throws.
15:22Cleveland off 64 wins a year ago.
15:2652 this year.
15:27They have the four seed against this Toronto 5.
15:31And the Raptors have won the last truth.
15:33Trying to steal home court.
15:34Take it home.
15:36Harden hits a triple.
15:37And that was contested by RJ Barrett.
15:40James Harden doesn't even see him.
15:43That's with 41 different starting lineups, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
15:47It's a great point.
15:47Injuries have been such a story all year long.
15:49You mentioned Strews.
15:52Walter's been hot with the three ball, but not in the third.
15:55One-armed rebound for Dean Wade.
15:59Harden has 22 points.
16:01Surpassing 4,000 postseason career.
16:05Wade can't convert.
16:06Barnes does not have numbers and nearly lost the dribble.
16:10He doesn't have control of the ball either.
16:13Shed.
16:14A couple feet behind the stripe.
16:15Missing.
16:17Don't Toronto getting cold for the first time.
16:19Oh, this is going to be an unforced error.
16:20The ball went off the sideline.
16:22The baseline, rather.
16:23As Harden was trying to pick it up.
16:25And so the Raptors will keep it.
16:27And they'll put 14 on the shot clock.
16:30You don't need unforced errors.
16:32They got enough problem with errors that are caused by the defense.
16:36How about 12 turnovers by the Cleveland Cavaliers?
16:40But it's led to 28 points for Toronto.
16:44Six turnovers now for James Harden.
16:46And Ernie corrected me at halftime.
16:49I said he had 31 already.
16:51Turnovers, James Harden.
16:52Ernie had the number right at 29.
16:54But he's approaching 31 again.
16:59And then to Murray Boyles in Toronto.
17:01Got a fresh shot clock there.
17:02So the full 24.
17:05Barrett against Harden.
17:07Double comes.
17:10Murray Boyles.
17:11Flip shot.
17:11Not there.
17:15Crowd wanted a foul on that rebound by Barrett.
17:19And now a whistle before that three-pointer went up.
17:22Foul is going to be called.
17:24On Colin Murray Boyles his third.
17:27Good responses by both teams already here in the third quarter.
17:32Raptors came out.
17:33Opened up a little gap.
17:34Cleveland answered.
17:35They had it down to two.
17:36Then the Raptors with the nice run.
17:39Timeout.
17:39Now Cleveland answers.
17:41Is both teams very responsive when it's called upon to step up?
17:45Raptors were 10 of 17 from three in the first half.
17:49They've missed three out of four here in this period.
17:53Conovan Mitchell and a bouncing ball coming near our broadcast location.
17:57Jamison Battle is a very good defender.
18:00Second-year player.
18:01He can really defend.
18:03Number 77.
18:04I don't know who to give the credit to.
18:06George Washington or Minnesota or Ohio State.
18:08Right.
18:09Or his rookie year.
18:10But he's a good defender for a young player.
18:12And his fifth-year senior year down the road in Columbus, as you pointed out.
18:17Merrill against Battle.
18:19And a travel is called on Merrill.
18:21Another nice defensive effort by Jamison Battle, the second-year man.
18:28Watch the feat of battle.
18:29Yeah, Sam Merrill tries to go by him.
18:33That's an extra step.
18:35Scott Foster right on the call.
18:40Barrett attacking.
18:41Proud getting a little bit restless here.
18:43They want to travel on Mr. Barrett.
18:47Sheds pass.
18:48Goes through the lane.
18:49Intercepted.
18:50Mitchell head up.
18:52Drives to the hoop and scores as he hits the deck hard.
18:58And Darko Ryakovich wants a timeout.
19:00Just when you felt the Cavaliers were falling out of it.
19:03Here they come back again.
19:05Down two.
19:06It's one response after another.
19:09Donovan Mitchell in traffic.
19:12Doesn't even see it.
19:13Finish off the glass.
19:21Welcome back to the NBA playoffs presented by Google from Cleveland's Rocket Arena.
19:27First round action.
19:28Game five presented by Popeyes.
19:31And the towel-waving crowd back into it.
19:35Raptors have their second 12-point lead of the game.
19:38And for the second time in this third quarter, the Cavs have fought back to within two.
19:43Again, each team just trading responses.
19:46Darko with the quick timeout there.
19:48Let's see if Toronto can step up again on the road.
19:51So far tonight, they've done a really good job of doing just that.
19:55Cavaliers have it up to 56% shooting, PJ.
19:58They're 10 for 13 in this third quarter.
20:00Much of it at the rim.
20:03One team shooting 58%, the other team 56%.
20:07Go figure, right?
20:08After game four, we're in either team to get it to 35.
20:13Here's Battle.
20:14Ways for Merrill to clear and drills the three-pointer.
20:17But you better tell these young Raptors what you're supposed to do or not do in the playoffs.
20:22Five for seven from three in the series for Battle off the bench.
20:27Schroeder fouled as he tried to drive by R.J. Barrett.
20:32It's going to be number three on R.J.
20:42Toronto with the five-point spread here.
20:46And Schroeder at the line, one of the trade deadline acquisitions as he hits the first.
20:53Let's take a look at the upcoming TV schedule for the remainder of this series.
20:57Game six is going to be on Friday.
20:58Cleveland will be back in Toronto on prime.
21:00Time still to be determined.
21:02And then game seven, if necessary, would be right back here at Rocket Arena on Sunday, May 3rd.
21:08That's this Sunday.
21:09For more on these games, please go to NBA.com or visit the NBA app.
21:13Then it's another one of those acquisitions.
21:16Kesti as he makes a second that you talked about.
21:18Kobe Altman, Mike Gansley gets an assist.
21:21Get an assist.
21:22The winner of this series will face the winner of the 1-8 matchup.
21:27Orlando is a 3-1 lead in that one.
21:29But as you can see, Detroit up nine with four minutes to go.
21:33Could be a game six in that series.
21:36Barnes, another nice dish.
21:40CMB with the finish.
21:42Scotty Barnes is showing his passing ability.
21:46Excellent job all night.
21:48That's nine assists for Scotty Barnes.
21:52And the pass inside, another near turnover.
21:55Schroeder got it back to Mitchell.
21:57Blocked.
21:58And Barnes injured himself on that block.
22:02Holden, here's to be holding his head.
22:04Four on five the other way and shorthanded.
22:07Mamu drills the three-pointer.
22:10Barnes is asking why is there no foul call?
22:13Saying something with his right eye.
22:15I'll tell you, it was an excellent defensive play.
22:19Merrill inside the arc.
22:21Foul before the shot.
22:22Let's take a look at the Barnes play.
22:26Here's what Scotty Barnes was talking about.
22:29Mobile with a nice pass to Donovan Mitchell.
22:32Oh, yeah.
22:33Donovan with his left arm was trying to ward off.
22:36Scotty Barnes may have hit him in the left eye.
22:38Well, guess what?
22:39It didn't matter, but we'll have to watch going forward
22:42because Scotty clearly tearing up in that right eye.
22:46So you correct me if I'm wrong.
22:47And Sandro of Mamu Kalashvili's three would be a shorthanded goal.
22:50Four on five.
22:51Absolutely.
22:52Toronto leaps parlance.
22:56Capirtle comes into the game.
22:58Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, it's the same corporation,
23:01so give them credit.
23:03At the watch party going on.
23:04Oh, Jurassic Park is jumping.
23:07Seven-point lead Raptors.
23:08It is jumping.
23:09And right now, Rocket Arena in Cleveland is grown silent.
23:13Frustration.
23:14Not feeling they're getting the whistles in the third.
23:16Another missed free throw by the Cavs as well.
23:20Battle.
23:21Been big off the bench.
23:23Tipped in the air.
23:24No.
23:25And a loose ball foul.
23:26Go against the Cavaliers.
23:28Either way, it's going to be bonus.
23:30Both teams are in the bonus right now.
23:32We may see some free throws in his final two minutes, Kesti.
23:36Let's get some wired from Darko Ryakovich, the coach of the Raptors.
23:43Urgency to get back.
23:44Urgency to get out.
23:45What else do you got?
23:47Communication there.
23:47You're going to have team.
23:48You're going to have to go down.
23:50We did a great job getting in front of the ball.
23:52We got to run with Scottie that's still pushing the ball.
23:54Our head activity is awesome.
23:56That's how we create a field.
23:57And running, running, don't go down.
24:01Bronco's talking about both ways.
24:03Running, get back and take away the transition.
24:06And when we get the ball, let's run this way.
24:08He wants his guys to go both ways, and they are doing just that.
24:12He's coaching prodigy.
24:13I know he's 47 years of age, but he was coaching a youth team in Serbia at the age of
24:1716.
24:18Then was coaching some under-18 teams in Serbia.
24:21Darko a long time.
24:22He worked for Spurs on the summer league for two seasons.
24:26He's been all over.
24:29Donovan Mitchell in traffic.
24:31He's just weaving his way right through.
24:34Looks like he can get to the rim whenever he wants.
24:36Should handle the ball as well.
24:37A couple times.
24:38He's had to go over the top there, and he nearly forced a steal.
24:41He popped it loose, and then Shed couldn't hang on.
24:44Turnover, Toronto.
24:45And Shed came up with the ball, which we always expect, but then he let it go.
24:50That's the 10th turnover for the Raptors.
24:53They only have 12 points off those 10 turnovers.
24:56Meantime, they've scored 28 off the Cleveland turnovers.
25:01Jonathan Mitchell brings it across the timeline.
25:0319 points working.
25:05Wait for three.
25:07Long rebound.
25:09Tipped and Barnes controls.
25:11Just joining us, Brandon Ingram.
25:13Went out in the first half.
25:15Right heel inflammation.
25:16Barnes been banged around here in this third quarter.
25:20Shed overcooked it.
25:22Another offensive rebound on the long run.
25:26Pertle fouled.
25:28For the minute 16 to go.
25:29Again, second chance opportunities for the Raptors tonight.
25:33That's three on mobile.
25:34Dean Wade is struggling.
25:35He's one for six from outside.
25:37Kester, you said before, he's a 36% three-point shooter, but not tonight so far.
25:42How about Jamal Shed with the penetration, and he finds Pertle.
25:45Yaka Pertle has been a major factor in this game.
25:50Pertle at the line.
25:52First one's good.
25:53He's got 14 points.
25:55Five and double figures.
25:57He's also got six boards.
25:59I'm going to say six and double figures.
26:01I had Shed with 15, but Mamu with those threes has 10.
26:05He's selling short to see the all-go.
26:09They ended a 12-game postseason losing streak against the Cavaliers in game three up in Toronto.
26:16And now they would love to make it three in a row.
26:19Mitchell stepped back.
26:20In and out.
26:22A minute to go.
26:23Another good response out of the timeout.
26:26Toronto since that dark mode timeout.
26:28A chance to take a double-digit lead again here in the final minute of the third.
26:33Barnes against Wade.
26:35To Mamu for three.
26:38Rolls off.
26:4048 seconds to go in the third.
26:42That would have been assist number 10 for Mr. Barnes.
26:47Wade thought about the three.
26:48He's been struggling there.
26:49Flipped it too high.
26:51Mobley's got to do some work.
26:52And got it blocked by Mamu Skalashvili.
26:55Battle saved it, but couldn't save it inbounds.
27:00Now both Sandro Mamu Kalashvili.
27:03Had his first career postseason double-double in game two.
27:07Been with the Bucs, with the Spurs.
27:09And he's been, from the start of this season, one of the reasons Toronto got off to a good start.
27:13He's done a good job.
27:14Darko loves his energy and the fact that he contributes on both ends of the floor.
27:20I like this sub now.
27:22I can say, why sub with 32 seconds to go?
27:25Because Dean Wade struggling, James Harden is not.
27:30It's fun talking to Kenny before the game just about the IQ of James Harden and what he brings to
27:35this team.
27:35Yeah, without question.
27:37And he credited Steve Kerr with the time he spent with Golden State of listening to veteran players like Draymond
27:43Green or Steph Curry.
27:46Inbound Mobley.
27:47Big man triple.
27:50Big triple also.
27:51A lot of chatter around Cleveland.
27:53Why is Evan Mobley shooting so many threes?
27:56Evan Mobley with the little answer right there.
27:59Gavalier is shooting 63% in this third quarter.
28:04Got it back to a five-point game.
28:06Five-second difference here.
28:09Mamu backing down the smaller.
28:10Merrill went to the left hand.
28:12And no, nine seconds to go in the quarter.
28:17Mitchell, no look!
28:19Mobley with the finish.
28:23Near steal at half court.
28:25Mamu goes around Mobley.
28:27Ooh, and got off a shot that hit the window and nearly went home.
28:31Five Evan Mobley points.
28:34Closed it right there.
28:36Neither team could get to 100 points at four quarters the other day.
28:40103-100.
28:41The pivotal fifth game.
28:43And we got a fourth quarter coming up next.
28:55Welcome back to the NBA first round presented by Popeyes here with Jared Allen.
29:00Jared, what will it take to close this game out here in the fourth quarter?
29:03Just energy and force.
29:04If we can just be the first one to take the first hit and just keep pounding away, we'll be
29:08just fine.
29:09They've been pretty good with fast break points.
29:11How do you minimize that?
29:13Live ball turnovers.
29:14Whenever we turn the ball over, everything's a scramble.
29:16If we can limit those, we'll be just fine.
29:17Thank you.
29:18Thank you.
29:19The big guys for the Cavaliers, PJ, were huge in that third quarter.
29:22Especially Evan Mobley who had 10 points in that third quarter.
29:25Jared Allen's a ninth-year player.
29:27He knows exactly what live ball turnovers can do.
29:30Schroeder.
29:32Out of the corner, no good.
29:33Mobley, that was big.
29:35That three-pointer, he'd been struggling.
29:37It was an eight-point game, Keston.
29:39He scored five straight points to close the quarter.
29:42He had been two for 11 from three in the series.
29:44He got a block there.
29:45Barnes got it back.
29:46Couldn't hit.
29:47Toronto's going to get a third chance.
29:50Shot clock hitting five.
29:53Barrett gets a screen with three.
29:56Contested triple off the mark.
29:58Never hit the rim.
29:59Shot clock violation.
30:03Contested shots.
30:05Three different times in that possession.
30:07I'm watching Scottie Barnes as he walks.
30:10I should say as he walks and limps a little bit right in front of us.
30:14Yeah, Barnes.
30:15I don't know if it was that knee or the inside of the knee in the second quarter.
30:18Brandon Ingram went out in the first half.
30:22But Toronto, despite that, still with a three-point lead.
30:26Tyson backs up.
30:28Drains the three and we're tied.
30:30And then Scottie Barnes also only got one field goal attempt in the third quarter.
30:35Only had three points.
30:36He was three for four from the free throw line.
30:38But quiet.
30:39You mentioned Mobley had the last five of the third.
30:42That triple makes it an eight-nothing run for the Cavaliers.
30:46Barrett tried to untie it.
30:48Popped out.
30:49Another offensive rebound.
30:51Barnes three.
30:52No.
30:53Long rebound to Tyson.
30:55Three-pointers haven't been going down for the Raptors since halftime.
30:58No, they haven't.
30:59They've leveled off a little bit.
31:00Well, when you're shooting 60-some percent, you have to level off.
31:03How about Mobley with another triple?
31:06He had two in the first four games of the series.
31:09And he has two here.
31:11Eight of the last ten points authored by Evan Mobley.
31:1511 consecutive points for the Cavaliers.
31:18And as quiet as the crowd was in the third, they're lit again.
31:24Barrett can't answer.
31:29This could be a Toronto timeout if Cleveland scores this possession.
31:34I've got the Raptors three for 12, second half in three-point line.
31:40Mitchell to Schroeder.
31:41Shot clock ticks to five.
31:44Takes on Barnes.
31:46Off the window.
31:4813 straight for Cleveland.
31:53Toronto has missed its first six shots of the fourth quarter on the other end of the spectrum.
31:58Jesus!
32:00Jesus!
32:02Jesus!
32:02Jesus!
32:03The miss by the Raptors.
32:12Here's Harden.
32:15Tyson for three.
32:18That would have brought the house down.
32:19I was going to say you could hear the groan as all the oxygen fell out of the lung.
32:23Well, you can't make every one.
32:25And the Raptors need something.
32:27They're 0 for 7 here to start this fourth quarter.
32:31Will it be Barrett?
32:34The blow-by and one opportunity for R.J. Barrett.
32:39And there you see the crowd up in the province of Ontario.
32:44Darko's upset.
32:44They're not scoring to go.
32:48Oh.
32:49Let's see if they should have scored it.
32:51I anticipated an and one, but I guess if they called the foul on Harden, then they did.
32:55That was before the attempt or before the gather.
32:57I took one more step and shot it.
33:00I don't know.
33:00I thought the gather was there.
33:04Doesn't matter what I think.
33:06That's wiped out a three-point opportunity.
33:09And Toronto badly in need of response.
33:11We've been saying how each team, every time they've faced it, has come up with an answer.
33:16Toronto needs an answer right now.
33:18The first foul for either team here in this fourth quarter.
33:22Seven to shoot.
33:23Schroeder defending Barrett.
33:26Schroeder pushing on Barrett.
33:28Can't get the shot off.
33:30And now he got was not quality.
33:32Yeah, another possession.
33:33The shot clock almost runs out.
33:35You have to manufacture his shot.
33:36All right, Mitchell, high archer.
33:39No good.
33:42Toronto still looking for its first make of the fourth quarter.
33:46We're nearly four minutes in.
33:47They're 0 for 8.
33:55Cleveland making it really tough inside for the Raptors.
34:00Barnes has to go fade away.
34:020 for 9.
34:03Catch a break.
34:04Last off of Mitchell out of bounds.
34:06Raptors keep.
34:08I'll tell you what, that is really good defense.
34:11Toronto literally struggling to get his shot up.
34:14Twice they've almost had shot clock violations,
34:17and they're just being forced to manufacture something late in the clock.
34:25Shot clock reset at 14.
34:29Burtle hands it off to R.J. Barrett.
34:32Down five of the Raptors.
34:35Ball got poked away right back to Barrett.
34:38Draws the whistle, and this time we'll get to the line.
34:42Mitchell will be his third personal as Toronto's looking for some offense anywhere.
34:49And they're looking for their two main guys.
34:51It's been R.J. Barrett or Scotty Barnes trying to manufacture some offense.
34:56So far it hasn't been there in the first four minutes.
34:59First free throw, no good for Barrett.
35:02And tonight, after the conclusion of Rockets-Lakers, Shaq Ernie, Kenny Chuck will break it all down on inside the
35:09NBA like only they can,
35:11and you won't want to miss it.
35:12Big games tonight.
35:13We'll see who has a 3-2 lead in this series.
35:16Can the Lakers close out Houston, or the Rockets keep it alive?
35:19Tell you something else you won't want to miss is this free throw through Toronto.
35:24Now if that one to go, it's the first time the ball went through the basket in the quarter.
35:281-2 at the line, 0-for-10 from the field.
35:31Barrett and Barnes are 0-for-9 in the fourth.
35:35Speed of Schroeder couldn't finish.
35:375-on-4, Dennis Schroeder's on his back in the backboard.
35:41Battle sends it up top Shedd.
35:43Passes up the three, and his pass got deflected.
35:47Another cross-court pass.
35:49Battle dribbles inside the arc.
35:50And finally gets the first field goal of the quarter for Toronto.
35:54Well, I'll tell you what, and that was Sam Merrill did a good job with that deflection.
35:58Bought them time.
36:00But, they miss some battle with the huge bucket for the Raptors.
36:05Two-point leads Cleveland.
36:07Here's Schroeder again, got the speed, and this time gets the score.
36:11He will give up the body at every turn.
36:13Dennis Schroeder has made a career out of getting to the rim.
36:1713 years in the NBA.
36:20On his 11th team in Cleveland.
36:22Nice pass.
36:23Big to big, and battle finished.
36:25Hurdle the battle.
36:26Really good look.
36:27Good movement without the ball.
36:29By the second-year man.
36:31Battle.
36:35And then Tyson working on that far sideline.
36:41Mobley.
36:42How about that?
36:43He was two for 11 from three in the first four games, and that's three triples in the second half.
36:50Evan Mobley stepping up.
36:52Got a whistle.
36:56Oh, ball throwing on the court.
37:00As his reminder, he's got a minutes to try this, throws the ball over to, uh, Scotty.
37:07They look like a pair of lefties handling that right there.
37:09I think they might both be.
37:11I've got reminded, don't throw anything onto the court.
37:15Well, Evan Mobley needs to be more aggressive tonight.
37:18I wasn't sure it was the three-point shooting that was going to unlock things for him.
37:21No, I don't think anybody was.
37:26He's made his last three three-point attempts.
37:29Shed the answer for the Raptors.
37:32Timeout called by Kenny Atkinson.
37:34The inroads made by Cleveland.
37:37Toronto gets back to within two.
37:43NBA first round is presented by Popeyes.
37:47Love that chicken from Popeyes.
37:52Welcome back to Cleveland.
37:54P.J. Carlissimo, since late in the third quarter, Cleveland has stormed back.
37:58Well, from that out-of-bounds play right there, James Harden finds Mobley.
38:01You got Tyson right there, and Mobley with a two-man play.
38:05Tyson steps back.
38:06Dennis Schroeder has repeatedly put his head down, taking the ball right to the rim.
38:10Look at the circles.
38:11See all the players?
38:13Well, guess what?
38:14Toronto didn't see one.
38:15Evan Mobley with the finish inside.
38:17A rare transition back basket tonight.
38:21Four, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
38:23Three for 13 in the fourth for Toronto.
38:27Meantime, Cleveland five for nine.
38:29More importantly, three for five from downtown.
38:33Right now, Cleveland is over 50%.
38:3617 for 33 from the three-point line.
38:40And if I may throw a few more numbers at you, Evan Mobley and Jared Allen in the second half
38:46are eight of nine from the field.
38:4820 points, three block shots.
38:51Mobley's got three three-pointers.
38:53The big men have come here in the second half.
38:55Well, we asked where they were, and we thought it would be very difficult for Cleveland to get this win
39:01without their bigs.
39:02The bigs have answered that call.
39:04Game very much in doubt as we get close to the midway point of this fourth quarter.
39:09Winner tonight will take a 3-2 series lead north of the border.
39:15Schroeder's giving them some good minutes, and he drains the elbow jay.
39:18He probed.
39:19He wanted to go by it.
39:20He wasn't able to, but then he used the screen and finished inside.
39:24Cleveland bench has been big.
39:30Rafters down four.
39:32Jamal Shedd's had a big game off the bench.
39:35Feeds Pirtle.
39:36Can't fall.
39:37Who touched it last?
39:37Out of bounds.
39:39Pirtle.
39:39Off of him.
39:40It'll be Cleveland ball.
39:41Another good look by Jamal Shedd.
39:44Jakob Pirtle unable to finish with the little floater.
39:50That's one of the first two games of the series, scoring 120 points per game on 54% shooting.
39:56Schroeder loves the rims here in Cleveland.
39:59Big triple for the veteran point guard.
40:06Timeout.
40:07It's called by Darko Ryakovich, and Schroeder has helped build a 7-point lead.
40:13Yeah, Darko waited early to get the timeout.
40:16Not this time.
40:16And Jacoby Walter goes underneath on Dennis Schroeder.
40:20You cannot do that.
40:22The young man from Germany.
40:24We got a little scuffle in front of the Toronto bench.
40:29Being broken up quickly.
40:32Cavaliers retreating to their bench.
40:35So much at stake here today.
40:37It's already been a very testy, testy moment.
40:40And we'll bring that to you as soon as we come back here to Cleveland.
40:48Welcome back to Cleveland.
40:49A little dust up as we were going to timeout.
40:53TJ, take a look here.
40:55James Harden went in to pick up the ball.
40:58You'll see it right here.
40:59And RJ Barrett tries to take it away from him.
41:02So they get just a little bit of a shove.
41:05Really nothing there.
41:06What concerned me was the fact that pretty much the entire Cavalier bench came off.
41:11You see them in their warm-ups.
41:12In the old days, not that long ago, if you crossed the line, you were suspended next game.
41:19And Scott Foster, the lead official, came over and explained to us they were peacemakers.
41:24They didn't get involved at all.
41:26He doesn't think anything is going to happen at all.
41:28No foul, no nothing.
41:30Much ado about nothing.
41:40Cavaliers by seven.
41:41And they are waving the white towels.
41:44Yeah, and lost in the shuffle.
41:45It's a seven-point lead.
41:47Toronto right now called upon again to respond as both teams have all night.
41:54Cavaliers were down as many as 12.
41:56Raptors now facing the seven-point deficit.
41:59It is their biggest deficit of game five.
42:04Shedd turns the corner.
42:06Allen spikes it out of bounds.
42:08Well, you talked about the bigs, how much they've done.
42:10They have really made their presence felt in the second half.
42:20I got him for four.
42:22Second half blocks.
42:23Nice inbound.
42:24Nearly got it to Walter.
42:25And a heads-up play by Struis, who knocks it off of Walter out of bounds.
42:31Struis, I got to think Scottie Barnes' leg is bothering him a little bit.
42:36I will credit Cleveland defense, first of all.
42:39He's only got three points in the second half after 14 in the first.
42:450-for-5 Barnes in the second half.
42:48Jacoby Walter 0-for-3.
42:51Walter was having a terrific ball game through halftime.
42:55Cavs looking to build on the seven-point lead.
42:59Struis attracted the D and feeds it to Allen for the bucket.
43:03Well, they did the right thing, Toronto.
43:04They took Struis off the line.
43:06But his penetration and then the little handoff, again, the bigs.
43:11Seven straight for Cleveland.
43:13Down to four-and-a-half minutes to go, and Walter can't buy one now.
43:19Toronto needs some stops badly until they solve their offensive problems.
43:26Raptors have missed 11-of-15 from three-point land in the second half.
43:30Struis goes to the right hand, got the whistle.
43:32Will go to the line, and what a turnaround here in Cleveland.
43:36The place was a little bit lifeless as Toronto built the 12-point lead.
43:41But they have come back in this one and now have their largest lead.
43:45Evan Mobley got them going at the end of the third with those five straight points.
43:51They have not looked back since then.
43:55He's at the line.
43:5810-point lead.
44:00And coming up next, game five, Rockets and Lakers.
44:02LeBron James, most all-time postseason games played.
44:06LA up 3-1 in the series.
44:08After that game, Shaq Gurney, Kenny, and Chuck will break it all down on inside the NBA.
44:14First foul of the fourth quarter by Toronto.
44:18That probably tells you a little bit about their defensive intensity.
44:22Cavaliers making an 11-point lead.
44:25Pistons won tonight against Orlando, so that series not done yet.
44:29Magic up 3-2.
44:31They'll play Friday in Orlando.
44:34What a duel between Ben Carroll and Kate Cunningham tonight.
44:37Both went for 45.
44:39Shot up and in for R.J. Barrett.
44:42But Jay Barrett has definitely taken it upon himself to try and stop these droughts for the Raptors.
44:48Under four minutes to go.
44:54Ben Escherter getting a lot of second-half minutes.
44:57Rides and floats it in with Barnes defending.
45:00That was half a shot to get fouled, but it still went down.
45:05Schroeder averaged 10 points per game this season.
45:08He has delivered big time tonight and a big hit for Jacoby Walter, though, for the second half.
45:14Young players and bench players on the floor.
45:17Both coaches trusting players off the bench.
45:20Schroeder and Merrill and Struz did start tonight.
45:24He got Shedd on the floor.
45:27Schroeder's got 11 of his 19 points here in the fourth.
45:30CMB, young guys on the floor.
45:32No, Brandon Ingram went out in the first half.
45:36Right-heel injury.
45:38James Harden, 22 points working.
45:41Three to shoot.
45:42Step back.
45:43No.
45:45The defense by Jamal Shedd.
45:47Yeah, he shot over him.
45:50Walter hoping it's back.
45:52Can't hit that tie.
45:53Barrett offensive board.
45:54Pump fakes on Allen.
45:56Got him off his feet, but Allen able to recover, knock it out of bounds, and Barrett comes up, holding
46:02his arm.
46:06Nice rebound by R.J.
46:11I'm going to give it to James Harden.
46:12I don't know if they're going to call that a block or just a strip.
46:16It's still Toronto ball.
46:1812 seconds on the shot clock, but it is time for Toronto to start stringing some makes together.
46:25Jared Allen got a nice hand, headed to the bench.
46:28Evan Mobley is in.
46:29Shedd for three.
46:31Walter gets the offensive rebound.
46:35They reload Shedd.
46:37Still can't hit from outside.
46:40Offensive rebounds leading the threes, but the threes aren't dropping in the second half for the Toronto Raptors.
46:4710 for 17, first half threes.
46:495 for 18 here in the second half.
46:54Mitchell rolls.
46:572.15 to go, down eight points.
47:02But a tough second half for Barnes.
47:04Been banged up here in the third and fourth quarters.
47:06Walter tried to find Barnes, turned it over.
47:08Left his feet, made a cardinal mistake.
47:12Once two minutes to play.
47:14Two minutes to go.
47:15These are mini daggers that Cleveland's missing.
47:18They're in good shape, but they've had a couple of opportunities to put a few more nails in the coffin.
47:25Bruder having a superlative fourth quarter.
47:28Not that time.
47:29Shedd defended nicely.
47:30Cleveland keeps.
47:31Two to shoot.
47:32Harden contested.
47:33Won't catch the rim.
47:34He thought he was fouled by Barrett.
47:36No foul.
47:37Shot clock violation.
47:37I'm calling it from where we're sitting.
47:39Really good defense by R.J. Barrett.
47:42But he's away from us.
47:43Kenny Atkinson wants a timeout at the official's attention.
47:47That'll leave the Cavaliers.
47:48He may be looking to challenge.
47:50He's looking at his second row guys.
47:53He thinks they might have had a foul, so let's see.
47:56Nope.
47:56They're going to let it roll.
47:59Tell him there's nothing you can challenge.
48:01That's a good point.
48:02That's it.
48:02Scott Foster said, why are you taking a timeout to challenge?
48:05What are you going to challenge?
48:06Yeah.
48:06It was no call.
48:10Barnes spins.
48:11They get it in the corner to Shedd.
48:13Another three-point miss.
48:15Harden the rebound.
48:16Well, those missed threes that you just documented, Kesty, that's been the story of the second
48:20half.
48:21Excellent Cleveland defense.
48:22And in the fourth quarter alone, the Raptors have missed 9 of 11 from beyond the three-point line.
48:30James Harden milking the clock with three to shoot.
48:37Step back.
48:38Came up short.
48:40Toronto with some light.
48:42Cleveland did her up 24 seconds, and the Raptors only used a few to get down floor for the Murray
48:47Boyle slam.
48:48They're letting him hang around.
48:50It's only a two-possession game.
48:5354 seconds to go.
48:56At stake, a 3-2 lead in the series.
48:58Near steal on a dangerous pass.
48:59Almost nice pressure by Shedd and Walter.
49:02They had that eight-second violation that Shedd was able to get on Mitchell near the end of game four.
49:08Huge possession here defensively for the Raptors.
49:11Late clock.
49:12Mitchell to Mobley.
49:14Well defended by the rookie CMB.
49:16Toronto still alive.
49:19Half a minute to go.
49:20Drive Walter up and under.
49:23No!
49:23But the follow-through good for Colin Murray Boyles.
49:27Four-point game.
49:28Toronto fouls Schroeder with 22.5.
49:35That's the first in the last two minutes, B.J.
49:37So that'll be side out of bounds.
49:40Foul on Walter is his fifth.
49:45Toronto has enough time to pressure.
49:47If they can't steal the inbounds pass, maybe one trap.
49:51Then they have to foul and play the foul shooting game.
49:59James Harden will do the honors.
50:0222.5 into Schroeder.
50:04Got a foul.
50:05He can't let the clock run anymore.
50:07I thought Walter wanted a foul early.
50:09Didn't get it.
50:10And then Shedd knocks down Harden.
50:12Yeah, this is me being a little cynical.
50:15That's similar to Jamal Shedd running it.
50:18Donovan Mitchell in the backcourt in Toronto.
50:21It was an unbelievable heads-up play.
50:23But yes, the two-minute report did show that there was contact.
50:26No whistle.
50:27Shedd picks up his second.
50:29Jamal Shedd's telling Getavan is Petritus.
50:31We did it all the time in Houston.
50:34That wasn't a foul.
50:36Over the limit are the Raptors, and that'll put James Harden at the free-throw line.
50:43Still remains a two-possession game regardless of what happens with this final free-throw.
50:49Toronto does have two timeouts left.
50:53They are in the bonus.
50:54Any of their fouls are going to put Cleveland on the line.
50:57Cleveland has a foul to give.
50:58Not that they would want to give one, but they're in a defensive dilemma.
51:03Dilemma, they can take one.
51:05Dean Wade, a really good defensive player, in for Max Strews right now.
51:09So Harden numbers with the 22 points, but only three here in the second half.
51:13One for four shooting.
51:15And a missed free-throw there.
51:18James Harden still number 12 all-time playoff points in the history of the NBA.
51:24Went over 4,000 tonight.
51:26Hushed crowd.
51:28Now a sigh of relief as Harden hits the free-throw.
51:31So five-point game, timeout in Cleveland, 18 seconds to go.
51:38Welcome back to Cleveland.
51:39Five-point lead for the Cavaliers.
51:41You see the timeouts.
51:42There's a foul to give for the Cavs who also have a challenge here.
51:45What are you expecting from Toronto to possession game?
51:48Well, they've got to score quickly.
51:50Doesn't have to be a three.
51:51That's a mistake teams sometimes make.
51:53Doesn't have to be a three right now.
51:55A good three shows up quickly.
51:57Fine.
51:58If not, you have to score.
52:00That will stop the clock.
52:01Then if you can get a steal, maybe stay for one draft, then you have to foul again.
52:07It is a two-possession game.
52:09But to me right now, Toronto just needs to get something quickly.
52:13Whether it's a two or a three, and you made the point, Cleveland does have a foul to give.
52:18And I'd say Barnes would be the guy because he's been so hot in the series, but he's 0 for
52:22the second half.
52:230 for 5 from the field.
52:25R.J. Barrett inbound and a ball.
52:27Also watch him following it quickly, Kesti.
52:30Here we go.
52:31Shot clock off.
52:33Down two possessions.
52:36Barnes is controlling it.
52:38Step back.
52:39Barrett had the bigger Mobley in his face.
52:42Nine seconds.
52:43Time's a-wasting.
52:44Barnes got the three.
52:45Missed it.
52:45Tap in battle.
52:46No!
52:47Rebound Cleveland.
52:48It was three seconds to go.
52:49A foul.
52:50And the Cavaliers are going to get out of here with a 3-2 series lead.
52:55Well, they got the three they won in Toronto, but it took too long.
52:59You can't wait that long in that situation at the end.
53:02It's a minimum two-possession game.
53:05You have to do something quickly.
53:07Credit to Cavaliers.
53:08They did exactly what Toronto did to them in Toronto.
53:12Dominated the second half of game three.
53:16Dominated the second half of game four.
53:18Tonight, again, it was the home team dominating the second half.
53:23And this guy, Evan Mobley, who just missed the first free throw,
53:26was one of the reasons for the second half.
53:2816 second half points.
53:30Dennis Schroeder had 13 second half points,
53:34most of them in this fourth quarter.
53:36But Mobley changed everything with a three-pointer.
53:39The five-point of the inbound play late.
53:41And again, the rhetoric's been, where are the Cleveland threes?
53:44The Cleveland threes were here tonight.
53:47Well, they missed both free throws.
53:49They take a timeout with 1.7, but down five points.
53:54Timeout in Cleveland.
53:5812 points a couple times in this ballgame against this scrappy, young Toronto Raptors squad.
54:05But Cleveland has answered the bell in the second half.
54:10Five-point lead, 2.4 to go.
54:12Missed free throws, but you're still down two possessions with two and a half.
54:14Fifth straight time, the home team is going to win.
54:17Got to wonder injuries.
54:18Brandon Ingram, maybe Scotty Barnes.
54:21Barnes been banged around, has had a 0-for-6 second half.
54:27Mamu will inbound.
54:30The clock is their enemy right now.
54:32Even this three-pointer won't matter because R.J. Barrett just stepped on the sideline,
54:35and that's going to do it.
54:371.8 on the clock.
54:38Cavs just have to inbound.
54:41They have never lost the Cavaliers franchise to the Toronto Raptors in the postseason in this building all-time.
54:479-0 coming in.
54:50Is Cleveland taking a timeout?
54:52Timeout, Cavaliers.
54:55Cavs just have to take a timeout here with 1.8 seconds to go.
55:00Just an impressive, impressive comeback victory.
55:03Evan Mobley, there's been a lot of talk about him, the two games up in Toronto.
55:07He came out more aggressive and really turned it on late in that third quarter.
55:11Yeah, and guys, remember way back when, when one of the multiple times that it looked like Toronto was about
55:17to take control of the game,
55:19that Donovan Mitchell dunk, when they could not score,
55:22and all of a sudden he threaded his way through everybody, kind of like Pac-Man,
55:26and just the emphatic dunk that got them playing early third quarter when they came out a little bit flat.
55:32That got them going defensively.
55:34The Cleveland defensive effort in the second half was night and day better.
55:39Their two bigs were night and day better.
55:41You look at the balance scoring right there.
55:43A pair of 23s, James Harden and Mobley, Donovan Mitchell 19, Dennis Schroeder 19, off the bench.
55:5143 bench points for both teams.
55:54Both coaches went to their bench, and their benches had answers tonight.
55:57To me, the most significant thing for Cleveland, other than their defense, was the two bigs.
56:03Evan Mobley and Jared Allen really stepped up big.
56:07Both sides of the ball, as you point out, three-pointers inside, block shots.
56:12Derek Schroeder, Dennis Schroeder, 11 of his 19 points coming in this decisive fourth quarter.
56:191.8 seconds on the clock.
56:22Cavs just have to get it inbounds.
56:24They get it into Schroeder, and that's going to do it.
56:27The home team has won the first five.
56:30Cavaliers will take a 3-2 series lead up to Toronto with a chance to close out.
56:36And when the Cavaliers lead 3-2, they've won 10 out of 11.
56:40The Raptors have never come back down 3-2.
56:42Let's take a look at the bracket after this.
56:45Cavaliers win 125-120 all four series.
56:51Now three games to two.
56:52We'll have four game sixes.
56:54Coming up next, final score, Cleveland 125, Raptors 120.
56:58For P.J. Carlissimo, Alyssa Lange, our whole crew, I'm Mark Kestescher.
57:02Coming up, Rockets and Lakers, Ryan Rucco, Jay Billis.
57:06Have the call with Malika Andrews.
57:08And eight and a little.
57:22With Serena Winters.
57:31Dennis, so many times tonight when your backs were against the wall, what did it take defensively
57:36to close this one out?
57:38I think a team effort.
57:40I think everybody stuck with it.
57:42Everybody was keep fighting, bringing the energy.
57:45And of course, the fans helped us as well.
57:47Speaking of bringing the energy, I think you can feel from this crowd right now how much
57:52they appreciated what you brought.
57:54That fourth quarter, 11 points.
58:05What does it mean to you in front of these fans to have big moments like this?
58:09I mean, it means a lot.
58:10You know, my family is here.
58:12Everybody's here.
58:12It's family.
58:13Everybody came out to support.
58:15The energy was great.
58:16And we appreciate y'all.
58:18The Toronto Raptors.
58:21Gotta love hearing from the crowd.
58:23Fought really, really hard in this game.
58:25They did not make it easy.
58:27What was the biggest difference for your team?
58:29I mean, sticking with it, getting stops on the defensive end and on the offensive end.
58:33Just, you know, everybody touching it.
58:35Everybody playing fast.
58:36Making point one decisions.
58:38And shooting the ball when you open.
58:41And I think that was the key tonight.
58:42A really strong performance from your big, Evan Mobley.
58:45What was so significant about how he played tonight?
58:49Hey, and Evan.
58:51I mean, they're one of the best big men in the league.
58:54So we got to use them.
58:55We got to make sure we keep feeding them.
58:57And when they good, we good.
59:00Mental composure is so important in the playoffs.
59:03How did you guys fight through that part of this game?
59:07Every single possession matters, you know.
59:09So, I mean, it's a games of ones.
59:11We stuck with it, like I said, as a team.
59:15Our team chemistry was great tonight.
59:17And positive energy as well.
59:19Well, as fun as it is to play in front of these fans, what's the key to closing out in
59:23game six?
59:25Go there and just do it.
59:27Making sure we take it one possession at a time.
59:30And make sure we win.
59:32Appreciate you.
59:33All right.
59:33Thank you.
59:34Thank you.
59:35Thank you.
59:36We'll see you next time.
59:37We'll see you next time.
59:37We'll see you next time.
59:38We'll see you next time.
59:39We'll see you next time.
59:39We'll see you next time.
59:40We'll see you next time.
59:40We'll see you next time.
59:40We'll see you next time.
59:40Продолжение следует...
