00:03I have been working on social media for about 7 years ago, it was more or less in an unexpected
00:09way.
00:10At that time I worked as a Spanish teacher, I taught Spanish classes for foreigners,
00:16and from a moment to a moment I started doing videos to upload them on Facebook for friends,
00:23but I never expected to have so much access, until some videos started to become virals.
00:31When I started, there were not many creators of content here in the country,
00:35so there was a boom of my videos, so that was where everything started.
00:54When I started, I didn't think I was a creator of content.
01:02I just started to upload videos, and what I was most influenced was to make videos of the everyday life,
01:10make jokes, and I think that comedy was the most hard thing in this world of social media,
01:21because I wanted to be a model, but it didn't reach me.
01:25So, I just started trying to do the comedy, the everyday situations,
01:33and this was what I worked for, and this is what I'm doing to do today,
01:36and this is what I'm doing to do today, and this is what I'm doing to do.
01:37So, I think this is what I'm going to continue to do,
01:40and this is what I'm going to continue to do until I'm going to do it.
01:52When I start, I don't have much idea of what I'm doing,
01:56and more that at that moment, there were no references in the social media
01:59as to say, I want to choose between this and this,
02:02but I was going to focus a lot on some comedians American,
02:08a certain American humor and some videos that I was doing at the moment.
02:12When I entered the social media, in that moment, there was a platform called Vine,
02:17which disappeared, I don't know, since I started in the social media,
02:22and it was like a problem and error, like I had some jokes,
02:26but then I saw that some of them worked, others didn't.
02:30So, I went to the content, I gave it a more direction to the everyday situation,
02:36and then I saw that I was going to make videos very viral,
02:42and I realized that the things that make people identify themselves
02:46are fundamental in this, so that they can have a good achievement,
02:52and that's why we reached this point.
03:01In that moment, in terms of the media, they were very active,
03:07there was, for example, King Bash,
03:10which is an actor and a comedian American,
03:12there was Amanda Cerny, there was Lele Pons,
03:15there was a group of friends that always had their videos,
03:18so that there was one beginning to have the notion of how to edit videos,
03:23more or less of what content to do,
03:25so that there was a little bit of what they did.
03:29There were actors, I don't know,
03:31I like Jim Carrey, I think he's a genius,
03:34when he plays comedy, when he plays drama,
03:38there are many, there are many,
03:41in comedy it's the main reference.
03:45And then, obviously, there were more personalities
03:50that one also begins to admire,
03:51that one begins to admire,
03:53and to see how they can contribute to the creation of content for one.
04:05I don't know, it's something very colloquial,
04:08it's very from here in the region, in Antioquia,
04:10so, I don't know, when one said, for example,
04:12to the Abuela Gracias,
04:14it's like that he didn't make a good look,
04:15and one said,
04:15to me, this is the pack,
04:16and then there was a lot of content.
04:17So, it's like a lot of idiosincrasia,
04:19it's very from here, very from Antioquia,
04:23and at some point,
04:25well, I didn't think that this was going to appear in some point,
04:28I just put it there,
04:29like, this name is available,
04:31let's put it,
04:32and so it came out,
04:33and so it came out.
04:33When I wanted to change it,
04:35many videos had been viralized,
04:37I had a lot of followers that were recognized
04:41as well as that user,
04:44and I said,
04:44no, where I change it,
04:46I just put it on.
04:47So, so it came out.
04:58I think that they have presented some important moments.
05:03The first one was,
05:08once Facebook started to monetize the social networks,
05:11because at that moment they were doing,
05:12but then,
05:13at that moment,
05:14the monetization was focused on YouTube,
05:17all the creators of content
05:18were focused on YouTube
05:19to generate income.
05:21At that moment,
05:23I was in Cali,
05:27I think I was in the right place,
05:29in the right moment,
05:30and they invited me to a Facebook meeting.
05:34At that meeting,
05:35we were all together with a salary.
05:38At that moment,
05:40we were paying Facebook for generating content,
05:41and then we were already committed to a in-game content.
05:44Those who were there in the pilot
05:47monetization were started to be the same
05:49because we expected 25 videos
05:51of two minutes and a half each.
05:54Then I decided to stop que I didn't
05:57ask you to do classes
05:57because in that moment
05:58I generated content,
05:59but I didn't generate money
06:01from the part of this content,
06:02or not much I can say.
06:03I didn't work still for
06:04to survive. When with this Facebook pilot, we got a salary that was significant for the moment,
06:12and I said, well, I'm going to stop giving classes, and then I started to focus on creating
06:17much content, and I think that was the most important moment because I was able to acquire
06:21more followers. I had a leap in that period of time of what the pilot took, like 800,000
06:27followers on Facebook, so the content began to become more viral. I also had moments in
06:33which I had the opportunity to do stand-up comedy. One time I was presented to the Macarena
06:39at around 8,000 people, opening up to great comedians from the country, like Ivan Marín, Antonio
06:47Zanin. So I think there have been moments very beautiful in this career, in this trajectory,
06:53that have been key for what I'm doing.
07:02I love to do content. I like to do a lot of action, I like to do a lot of
07:20social media
07:22I had the opportunity to do stand up comedy
07:24and I had certain presentations
07:26but I said
07:27that I can wait, I can't wait, I'm not
07:29enough good, so I had to be
07:32very coherent
07:34very sincere
07:36and say that this is not the moment
07:38I'm not giving you all
07:40I can't wait for you
07:41but that is a challenge
07:44that I will take you
07:45to all the
07:48stand up comedy, because that is
07:50very difficult, one thing is not
07:52making a video, editing it
07:54or grab a scene,
07:56but one thing is
07:58different when one is
08:00in front of a public
08:02because there is no
08:02cab to the error.
08:12Well,
08:13I think
08:15it is important
08:16to have a good
08:17attitude,
08:19to have a
08:19communication
08:20that allows
08:22to reach
08:23people
08:25have
08:27to have
08:30much
08:32character
08:32to be
08:34against
08:35the
08:36amount of
08:37comments that
08:38can reach
08:38because the majority
08:39are positive
08:40but
08:40there are
08:42comments
08:42full of
08:43odious
08:44that
08:44are
08:44so
08:45it is important
08:48to
08:48that
08:49one is
08:50crazy
08:51we know

10:23is
10:23you never

10:41I
10:41do
10:42I
10:42do
10:42I
10:48have
11:0810
11:09they give results, but it's difficult to know.
11:12I like to all of them, I enjoy them, I see them, I like what I do.
11:17So it's very cool.
11:23Yes, the fact that you have so many people who follow you
11:30makes you responsible for the communication you give them.
11:33So I think it's important to have a lot of people
11:38that you are seeing, between them can have a lot of children.
11:42So I think that communication and everything that one offers,
11:45has to be something, has to be a balance.
11:51No one can incite to do bad things,
11:55to consume, digamos, products that are nocivos.
11:59There is a social responsibility.
12:01I, for my part, I take very seriously what is that social responsibility
12:06and from my experience, I try to influence on the part of mental health.
12:12Because we know that it is an area that is a little bit
12:14in the moment.
12:15And I like, from my experience, as I tell you, to bring information
12:23that is an interest, that is an opportunity, that can even save lives.
12:27Because this of the social networks, you know, it sends you a message
12:34that all of us who are here have a perfect life.
12:37But many of us have our problems,
12:41whether anxiety or depression,
12:47many people pass through that.
12:48So it generates a lot of empathy to talk about this issue.
12:51Even in this moment, with Natalia Segura, we created an assistance
12:57in mental health.
13:00And, of course, we published it yesterday.
13:04So, there is a lot of people can arrive
13:08and have an attention 24-7
13:12for all these mental health issues that are so important.
13:16So, I think that the part of the influence of my life
13:19I treat more as from there, from there, from there, from there,
13:21to get to all these people who need them.
13:31I think that this is the main challenge of every creator of content,
13:36to keep it alive.
13:38Because one thing is what you create today
13:41and another thing is how it changes everything
13:45as time passes.
13:46So, it's important to be all the time creating content,
13:49that is, as I tell you, that is the main challenge of things
13:55about what is happening in the moment.
13:59So, that is, as I tell you, the main challenge.
14:03One always tries to be aware of everything that happens
14:08in terms of entertainment.
14:12And there are other things that we don't prefer to touch,
14:16like the topic, for example, of politics.
14:18I can be very aware of the politics in the country,
14:21but they are a bit more delicate when we touch them,
14:26because we know that people are a bit, I don't know,
14:30sensitive with respect to the topic,
14:31and any opinion that one can give can be taken for good, for bad,
14:36can be taken for bad, can be taken for bad.
14:37So, one also evites certain topics.
14:40Do you have any thoughts on the topic?
14:44Yes, totally.
14:47Yeah, one, through the time, begins to create a team of work,
14:50what is a team of production, managers, promoters.
14:57So, you start to need contractors, lawyers,
15:01then, obviously, you start to move a little more.
15:04You start to be part of the economy,
15:09because we are promoting businesses, companies,
15:12and companies that help us grow through our community,
15:18and our public.
15:19So, I think that is quite fundamental.
16:14a hacerle bromas, no sé, a niños, a personas adultas.
