00:24occasion because in this second part of Black Panther Wakanda Forever pays tribute to the
00:31great Chadwick Boseman and I want to start this interview by asking you what was it like to return
00:39to the set with the emptiness left by him uh you know what we did have was um you know
00:46of course
00:47we were going it was a process of grief going through the the shooting of this what we did
00:52have though was um a sense of purpose around what we are doing which was that we were going to
00:58honor
00:58him through this work and that was a key focus for us throughout the whole thing and definitely
01:03kept us anchored and centered um was how to honor him how to keep you know the the beautiful example
01:10he left of leadership and of how to and of work ethic and of how to really give yourself um
01:17give
01:18your all to the process you know and and and and take care of each other that was something that
01:24he made so clear and so and did so beautifully and so we were able to consistently look to honor
01:30that
01:30through how we functioned with each other and um yeah I'm just very I'm I'm very it was very much
01:37a
01:37difficult process in some ways because it was kind of unprecedented to try to make a a sequel where
01:43you know your leader has has sadly and tragically been lost but um at the same time I think what
01:49really guided us through and anchored us as our north star was the fact that he um we were doing
01:55it
01:55for his legacy and we were doing well as a journalist I had the opportunity to watch the movie before
02:05the
02:06premiere in Colombia and I was very touched actually by your character and I I have to tell
02:12you that thank you so can you tell us um your favorite three things from it the favorite three
02:19things I mean I think really I I mean though when I was first told my character's arc I was
02:24like what
02:26we don't have to do that you know but then I thought you know actually it was cool for a
02:31character
02:31to go through something that shifts her and and that changes her and um and so I was I was
02:37actually
02:37thankful for that for her but initially when with her inside of me I was like and so you know
02:44um
02:45so there was that uh response to her shifting but I think that's what a character that's what you have
02:51to do for a character in a new in a world where you're doing a second film they have to
02:55shift things
02:56have to become less comfortable for them um so I was thankful for that um being what her arc was
03:03and
03:03you know listen I love the fight training especially when you start to finally get good at it um because
03:09initially it's just painful I noticed I noticed that in that love's train it was amazing I was like
03:16oh my god I love her oh thank you but yeah it's a lot of it's a lot of work
03:22and um it's a lot of work
03:25and and but it can also be really really fun and you really get to bond with folks and uh
03:30really
03:31get into the trenches together and uh I love my fight trainers um shout out to Micah and Rustic
03:38um and uh you know we just got and Nadia we got a lot of work done um together and
03:44and they were
03:44just so great they were so great so that was really beautiful and then um being able to um just
03:52have
03:52uh a you know a time on set you might not expect a great laugh connecting with the crew uh
03:59there
03:59are things like that where you just feel like a family uh and you're looking out for each other
04:03and that's Chadwick was so good at that he was so good at just checking in on folks
04:07so they don't expect it and you know and and and caring for others and so when you feel that
04:13happening on set you know you really know you're you're in the right place doing the right thing
