00:02The fashion industry is the second one that most contaminates the planet after oil.
00:08We are at a serious level of contamination and it's time to take action.
00:36Well, this started with a dialogue that we made for more than a year ago,
00:41that had to do with the issue of the robbers and the center of Bogotá.
00:44Then we started to perfectionize the idea
00:46and we started to work with the Fuga, from Dave Bond and Alejandro Crocker,
00:52and we started to contextualize a bit better how we could build a co-creation textile,
00:59and bring a message of environmental awareness to the population and to our visitors.
01:04We started to dream and arm all this world of fantasy around the reciclado in the moda
01:12and around the education and the practical part and creative part.
01:18And we started the exhibition.
01:20What we did was to develop some workshops
01:22to start, in some way, to make real that dream,
01:26to be able to carry out the message of the need to recycle
01:30and also how it is not only a matter of social consciousness,
01:36because it is also a matter of market,
01:37which is very important.
01:39It is to say, we are full of textile waste.
01:42What do we do with that?
01:43And how can that again be able to circulate?
01:46Everything was done with material from the brand Falabella
01:50that gave us pieces that were out of the life of useful life in the tiendas
01:58and with that we transformed, we transformed and took a new life in the exhibition
02:05that is part of the magic of reciclado.
02:08I really like the modisteria, the design, the confesion.
02:12I really like to work with stones, with strass, with all that.
02:15This is a piece that I made in a night of dreams, of fantasies,
02:22and it is like the figure of the trans woman
02:26that identifies us as the corceles,
02:29that makes us look more feminine, more sexual, more provocative, more arrogant.
02:38What is the inspiration?
02:38The inspiration is, well,
02:40they are all heritage pieces, all textiles,
02:43and some accessories, also in jewelry,
02:45from the collections of the Museum of the XIX,
02:48the Museum of the National of Colombia
02:49and the Institute of Colombian Anthropology and History.
02:59We can talk about history and culture through these collections
03:03and, also, we can also generate reflections
03:05about what the mod means in our society,
03:10but not only contemplative reflections.
03:14That is also the importance of this exhibition and this hall
03:17that is called Talleres of the Panoptic,
03:18because here the prisoners, when they were in prison,
03:22they were doing things from the prison,
03:24even they were doing textiles.
03:25So, it is taking advantage of all these stories,
03:29to be able to tell these stories,
03:31but also to build them participatively.
03:34We are trying to, every once again,
03:36to have a museum much more connected with the people,
03:39a museum as a space of dialogue and a space of creation.
03:43And not only, because this is also important,
03:45of course, it is part of the mission,
03:47it is to say, to preserve and expose the heritage,
03:49but not only that,
03:50the heritage is built with the people.
03:52So, this palette of lilas has to do with the chemical processes
03:58that are made for the production of denim,
04:01for the production of gin,
04:02and how this produces a series of chemicals
04:05that contaminate the water with very similar tones.
04:09So, it is beautiful, but it is tremendous at the same time,
04:12and that is inspired by the exhibition's conceit.
04:15My message to all of those who come to visit this exhibition is
04:19to open the mind,
04:21to create that consciousness of care,
04:25of love for our finite resources,
04:28for our great house, that is the planet Earth,
04:31and to inspire,
04:34and, above all, that it is possible,
04:36that from Reciclados, we can create beauty,
04:39we can create art,
04:41and we are going to see it here in the National Museum.
04:46We are going to see it here in the National Museum.
05:16We are going to see it here in the National Museum.
05:21This really is very pleasant,
05:21Remember, our municipal heritage is been made in the National Museum,
05:22in the National Museum of certificcia.
05:22We are seeing many of those who come to the Internet lights
05:22and come to the field as such as professor giving you a wholeandalism.
05:22see it here in the National Museum. So, for
05:23really good. We will see them
