00:05Hey guys thanks so much for watching the show we have some live pods coming up on April 22nd
00:11we will be in Port Chester New York and on May 9th we will be at the Wiltern in Los
00:16Angeles for the
00:17Netflix is a joke festival so come on and hang with us have you ever been to a sporting event
00:22with your sister and they put you on the kiss cam you're like this is my yes we've had I've
00:28had the like you guys but you powered through yeah but I'm like we're on the jumbo
00:40so how did we we met it was so quick it was so fast it was um I was at
00:45Fox I had a show called garbage
00:47time they were trying to get me to do like press and promo and stuff I'm not a morning person
00:52and
00:53and they asked me to do Opie and Jim and they were like it's really early but the guest Pete
01:00Davidson's
01:01a guest and Dan Soder and I didn't know Dan but you didn't know Dan at that time no not
01:06at all
01:07and I was like oh shit I think you had just gotten SNL which now is even more interesting just
01:12because
01:12I know so much more now um but I was like oh okay I get and they're like we think
01:17it'd be really good
01:17it's on serious I was like okay yeah I'll grow up and wake up in the morning and I'll go
01:21so I went
01:23that's where I first met Dan and the whole I just he I remember he like confused me with somebody
01:28else
01:29he was like are you that girl that works for the Red Sox and I was like no no and
01:35he's like are you
01:35sure and I was like no you work for the Red Sox no I'm I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure
01:39I'd know uh but
01:40he was just so funny and then when we left I mean you were very funny too oh no I
01:45lost I lost that
01:46battle it's okay it was also just like I think you had already started on your historic run if you
01:52know what I mean so I didn't think I was I wasn't looking at it in any other way um
01:58I didn't think
01:59I met the qualifications we'll just say it was out of respect for you um and so anyway we like
02:07historic run is fucking awesome I mean it's my next special historic run um so he we uh took a
02:15picture after which Pete it's the most uncomfortable picture it's like I'm clearly like so nervous I
02:21don't know what's up but now it's just so funny because every photo of me that hasn't been taken
02:26post 2024 I am ashamed of I hate pictures you have to take them all the time all the time
02:31next to the
02:32most attractive women who have ever walked the planet yeah that's why I'm so that's why it's
02:37like oh man you chose this life I wish I had a dermatologist it's just knowing how to stand
02:42is something you never think about until you see a picture of yourself on like a red carpet and you
02:47go why am I standing like that yeah why do my shoulders look like that yeah why mine are high
02:52as
02:52shit I know and you don't realize it until and then the next time you do a red carpet you're
02:57like
02:57trying yeah thinking about it yeah too hard and you're like what do you do what's your go-to uh
03:04move when someone takes a picture with you I've tried I go like this that see me too but then
03:09too
03:09many of those accumulate yeah and you're a 40 year old woman and every picture of you is like
03:14and it's just crazy I think at this point I just do this yeah I hate I've like do you
03:19pop it out
03:19yeah yeah yeah I do whatever like a tick tock has taught me how to make my butt look bigger
03:24from the
03:24side I do whatever that is and I hit it and it works you know I hate it I it's
03:31like I never
03:32think I'm gonna like that part I hate like the social freezing in time a moment of what I look
03:37like you genuinely just love sports yeah and now you're laughing and now I gotta do all that and
03:42also I'm supposed to be doing it at like a high level like the amount that people expect me to
03:46be
03:46you know attractive I'm like at some point can I just go and that was that era right and now
03:52we're
03:52in a different one where I just am not gonna be a lot to look at can't we just can't
03:57the burden be
03:57off you know for a minute no there's there's so much more pressure on women to be hot forever
04:04yeah thank you Pete you're so right no you're so right no it really speak on it king yeah please
04:09no it's really fucked up because I've seen you know I've seen yeah women yeah like what they've
04:17had to do before they have to just to go get dinner and I'm just like that sucks because I
04:23could just look like a piece of shit and no one's gonna be like he looks like a piece of
04:28shit they're
04:28just gonna be like that's awesome and it's like not the other way around so like I can't imagine
04:33having to put that much effort or they'll do the like wow she got a lot of work done and
04:39then you're
04:39like okay because if she didn't you'd go oh I don't want to fuck her anymore and you're like why
04:44why can't we all just go like yeah also it's leave everybody alone just leave everybody alone
04:51like not yeah like sports should be the one place where it's like we all we all have a common
04:57thing
04:58we all love sports yeah my Instagram bio I guess is uh I put myself out there for a living
05:03and it
05:03truly just came from um sitting with a blank Instagram bio and being like how do you write a
05:10sentence that sums up who you are you want it to like help people know who you are but you
05:15also
05:15don't want to be like host of the critically acclaimed like whatever and so uh I think I just
05:20four time Emmy nominated exactly which I do I did win one you did I did win what's that like
05:26yeah it
05:27was sports Emmys technically they are the same they're the real size it's not like the local news
05:32ones but they are but it was a separate ceremony it wasn't like actual Emmys um but basically I was
05:38like it's I don't know what I do is really weird because people are always like what are you are
05:42you a sportscaster are you a comedian are you a entertainer like what are you and I still don't
05:47really know but the only thing I know about myself to be true is that I put myself out there
05:51for a
05:51living so like I'll go to a game and like share what that experience was like or like you know
05:56make
05:57fun of myself and the experience of being a sports fan because I think that it brings other sports fans
06:01together because to me sports are community yeah it's the one equalizer in life kind of is is sports
06:08yeah whatever you are like people bond over sports there's something to being in a in a stadium full
06:16of people and you don't know this guy or this guy or that girl at all we love nothing about
06:21them
06:21yeah but we all are our hearts are like rooting for an outcome the same outcome down there there's
06:28like something like there's something we can't see that it connects us in that way and I feel
06:32like that's what sports are for did you always want to no I didn't even um I just okay so
06:39let's see
06:39how I got into it because it was not the plan what was your plan originally I didn't have one
06:43um I was gonna I went to college I went for public relations it doesn't really mean anything and then
06:50um graduated and there were no jobs so I worked at like I did all that odd job period of
06:56your life
06:56and then um moved like back home was bartending where's home Massachusetts oh okay Framingham
07:03Massachusetts but I moved to to like the Boston area I bartended there for a little bit and then
07:08started like a blog and then started making YouTube videos of just like what's crazy is I used to
07:16describe it as like weekend update but you worked at SNL is crazy I don't I've never told somebody who's
07:22on SNL before that that was just like a weird moment for me um but it was like yeah like
07:27uh news
07:28headlines with jokes they were not good but you got to get that out of your system to get better
07:33at it
07:33and then um a couple things happened I moved to New York to work for this company called guyism it's
07:40like one of those websites what's that boy what's that yeah so tell me more Katie like one of those
07:46like
07:46boy I don't know men's interest what they used to do before all the claviculars and the whatever
07:51the hell that boys watch what is that what is clavicular is this uh looks maxing guy who broke
07:58his own jaw with a hammer because he thought it would make him look hotter yeah he's like a great
08:03example of how young men have lost their fucking minds yeah they've just lost their way you know
08:10it's really sad the people that are speaking to them are like really um incentivized to lie to
08:17them and to like make them feel alone and scared and nobody's stopping them from doing it's weird
08:22for them to be perverted about themselves yes yeah it used to just be like you know cat calling and
08:28like yeah porn and now they're trying this is what's important I do still think they're doing the
08:32porn thing though you think so yeah I think it gets evolved you know I think they're like ex I
08:37think
08:37people are doing the porn thing so much so you're on guys that's right guyism good show that's good
08:42hosting Pete thank you um okay so guyism this website I moved to New York to work for them but
08:48then I got Fox Sports launched Fox Sports 1 which was going to be like the answer to ESPN because
08:52ESPN
08:53was 24-hour news uh sports stuff all the time and Fox wanted its version of that part of the
09:00idea was
09:01that they would have throughout the day of programming the network like update people who would pop in and
09:07tell you the news or whatever and they were just like casting a wide net uh to try to figure
09:12out
09:13who was going to be on this network and they called guyism and they were like we want her and
09:19um I like
09:21I was like wait a sports network I was like I love sports I'm from Boston from Framingham Massachusetts
09:26but like you know I identify with like as a Boston sports fan so YouTube videos before weren't about
09:31it was they weren't all sports it was like news um and like weird news guys would like yes but
09:37then
09:37sometimes would touch on sports as like to me that is news they're all the same to me and so
09:42I was
09:42like oh I just don't think I know enough I was like I don't think I'm gonna be I'm not
09:46like a stats
09:47person I just like sports um so I'm not really I was like I don't know if I could like
09:52work for an ESPN
09:53and they were like why don't you come and audition and we'll see what happens so I like went to
09:57LA
09:57auditioned and blew it um to the point where the guy that had like had me audition was like okay
10:03so
10:03that wasn't good but we put you in a tough spot like you've only ever made YouTube videos in your
10:07house you even you even said you don't know anything about sports we sat you down in like a room
10:11with
10:12like a camera when the when the jib first flew in I went like whoa and they were like oh
10:17shit this girl
10:18has no clue what's going on hey at one point I was like are all these people gonna be in
10:25here when
10:26we film and they were like yes it's it's tv and I was like I this is not I was
10:32I think if I watched
10:33back my audition tape you would just see no life behind my eyes I think I was just like uh
10:38-huh out
10:38in LA by myself no idea what was going on they were like let's try it 22 20 yeah 26
10:4425 or 26 old enough
10:46but you know I still should have I did I just was like my world was rocked and so they
10:50were like look
10:50we're gonna try again there's a show we're gonna do out in New York uh with Regis Philbin and I
10:55was
10:55like name I've heard of he rules they were like we're gonna do a show out there we'll audition you
11:00for that and it'll be a lot more low-key we're gonna do it where they do you know the
11:04show watch
11:04what happens live yeah they were like we'll do it in that studio because it was at embassy row the
11:07production company and I auditioned there it was so much better it was like a much more chilled relaxed
11:12vibe and then from there I worked at Fox I did that show with Regis for a year till they
11:16canceled it
11:17and how's Regis he has passed no I didn't know if you knew I didn't know if you knew I
11:24didn't want
11:25to be the one to break the news no yeah do you guys not tell Pete about reruns do you
11:30just go this
11:31is real TV this is what he was like my Johnny Carson yeah he's the man yeah he is exactly
11:36who he was on
11:36TV that's a sweet guy he one time he uh it came over to me and I because I used
11:43to do there was like
11:44six of us at the desk on the show right way too many people it was like Regis and then
11:48the the real
11:49driver of the show was Georgie Thompson she was like a a big deal in England and came over here
11:54to co-host the show with him and then Michael Costa the comedian I don't know if you know him
11:58yeah
11:58Trevor Price who's an NFL player Jason Gay who's like a nerdy love him nerdy like sports journalist
12:04me it was like a weird group of people um and so my segments were always like little comedy bits
12:11and Regis came over one day and he was like you remind me so much of Tina Fey and I
12:16was like
12:19Regis thank you and he goes yeah brunette pretty and that was the end of the list
12:28Regis had a um workout tape really that we used to make fun of him for he would do like
12:33just fives
12:34basically yes exactly in like tight shorts and shout out I guess that's during the
12:39Tybo Billy Blanks yeah everybody was making VHS tips my mom was using the Jane Fonda one when I
12:45was growing up so I have like vocal stims that are stuck in my head of what Jane Fonda would
12:50say
12:50to her my mom was all about Jenny Craig because of Kirstie Alley yeah like I was fucking uh seven
12:57eight
12:57and I would see these frozen meals sometimes I forget how young you are that just really rocked me when
13:02you said that you were seven or eight I'm getting older how old are you now 32 okay whoa starting
13:08to
13:08go downhill gonna have to start getting PRP shots okay pretty soon will you get your hair make sure
13:14it comes back that's right yeah I'm starting to get the you haven't started the V no no so I
13:19I and then
13:20sometimes I'll see die hard and I'll be like he looks hot yeah like you can do it you can
13:25do it
13:25you feel like you don't have like a is it bumpy your head no it's like yeah you have a
13:30fine head
13:31it's gonna go it's gonna I'm gonna have the V it's not gonna be fully bald it'll just be that
13:35like
13:36yeah that Justin Theroux fucking yeah that sort of vibe and what an uggo he is yeah but um I
13:43yeah I
13:44think about it all the time just do it then yeah just do it that's what this podcast is about
13:51just getting validation that I should get PRP shots so yeah you really do so like and it'll be okay
13:56dude just do it I think it's like that that stuff I mean Dan got I don't know what the
14:00names are of
14:00all the advanced things he told me he had a lay in like water for like he got the one
14:04where you take
14:05the back of your head and you and you put the hair and it looks great looks fantastic yeah he's
14:10got
14:11a real big head so like it was kind of dire you can't he wasn't really willing to show it
14:18to
14:18people he needed to bring it up and you're like yeah you should do that no I was like if
14:21you want
14:22to I wouldn't would never tell you to get surgery I think you'd be happy with how it looks and
14:27he is
14:27he loves it and now then he just started doing the PRP the one for the top of your head
14:31or whatever
14:31and it's just like if it removes from your brain an anxiety that you have every day if every day
14:38you
14:38get up and look in the mirror and go then just like do it who cares don't overdo it
14:44right because then they'll make fun of you but either way do it and then just be funny about it
14:48right but back to Regis Philbin oh yeah sure no so Regis Philbin the man it ends after a season
14:55and then then then you're are you like what the fuck what do I do now yeah I think I
15:01was like
15:01again so confused by how everything worked like to go from never having been on tv to doing the show
15:08was uh live for an hour every day live tv is terrifying live tv for an hour every day so
15:14like
15:14my first couple weeks I think the people around me started to notice I was like what the hell until
15:19finally the best piece of advice I got was like live tv it's over it's done you don't have to
15:24worry about
15:24it anymore move on to the next day yeah yeah like Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday and it
15:28was like so the it was I kind of learned to love it in that way it was like once
15:32the show was done
15:32it's over whatever damage is going to come from it is out it's already time to go on to the
15:36next one
15:37and so it was like such a crazy schedule then they canceled it and so then I was sort of
15:40floating
15:41because a lot of most of the network was in LA and I was in New York and I just
15:45didn't really
15:46want to move to LA I'm very east coast I've always been east coast I just feel more comfortable here
15:50I always feel like LA is looking at me going like are you gonna wear that no and I'm like
15:55yes yes I don't know I'm like I never feel like I'm in the right wavelength I have a question
16:01yeah
16:01what I would love to ask a little bit about jeopardy oh let's do it so you are on a
16:06celebrity
16:06jeopardy you're back did you defeat Maloney oh wow I forgot that in overtime because I fucked up
16:11and did my bid wrong I did the math I had been winning the whole game came down to final
16:18jeopardy
16:18I did the like okay if he doubles his if he guesses all of it and gets it right what
16:23will
16:23his total be and then I was like how much more is I subtracted that from my number and made
16:28sure that
16:29I would have enough to be I forgot to add a dollar so when I got it right we tied
16:34I made it so that we
16:35tied instead of I beat him and so we had to go to a sudden death one clue to win
16:42it all and I was like
16:43sweating they don't on the show it looks like it happens right away yeah this they were like we
16:48need 20 minutes we did not yeah what's the downtime on jeopardy like not there isn't any except if you
16:54accidentally screw up so badly you send it into overtime and then they go well we didn't plan on
16:59this because there's three rounds of jeopardy why would this ever happen it's been like that forever
17:04yes and so then we uh I just like sit there and like rock back and forth and be like
17:09I may have just
17:10blown it I was winning the whole game and I may have just blown it and then I buzzed in
17:14before him
17:14for the final question and just looked down at him and he was like yes yeah I don't it's really
17:20stressful the worst feeling is when you're up there and there's a question and sometimes or a a clue you
17:26have to call it a clue because you say the question uh and you'll go like sometimes your brain just
17:31goes
17:32you should know this one and so instead of listening and thinking about the what the actual what you
17:37should buzz in and say your brain goes like oh if you forget this one people are gonna be mad
17:42at
17:43you and then you're going wait no wait hold on wait right and then you don't and so that uh
17:48has
17:48happened to me a couple times it's a little stressful but it's I don't know I love jeopardy because it's
17:53like sports but for knowing stuff is it Alex Trebek it was I feel like I've broken the news to
18:00you
18:00about some deaths a couple too many since I've been here wait he has passed no I just saw him
18:06on
18:07there I know so after uh oh yeah so then after Regis I uh stayed in New York I worked
18:13with that
18:13company uh embassy row Michael Davies funny enough who is the producer of jeopardy now um he helped me
18:19launch my own shows called garbage time and it was on at like midnight on fox sports one 12 30
18:26on
18:26fox sports one hell yeah it was half an hour um once a week of like it was supposed to
18:32be like
18:33a comedy late night show um tough to do in sports because you'll get like if a if a nascar
18:40race got
18:40rained out they would get you know we'd get pushed back we wouldn't air until like four in the morning
18:45oh god um but a blast still to this day I think the most fun I've had uh because like
18:50they we were
18:52the only people in New York the rest of the network was in LA and they were like making stuff
18:56happen
18:56over there we could kind of just make our weird little show and nobody would watch it before we
19:00would put it on tv and then like three people would watch it so like we really got to just
19:04like mess
19:05around and try to sort of share the experience of being like a sports fan that isn't worried about
19:13analyzing who's gonna win or like breaking down a defense but instead being like how much does it
19:18suck when you're playing fantasy football and you set your lineup and then your bench goes off like
19:25that's the worst feeling and like capturing those types of right fan moments and so we did that for
19:31a little while and then it got to the point where fox was like we want you to move to
19:35LA and I was like
19:37yeah I don't want to and so then I left and went to ESPN and then basically kind of ran
19:42that whole
19:42thing back in ESPN ESPN is not in Connecticut is it am I making that up it is really but
19:47they also
19:47are in uh LA and New York so I was in New York okay yeah I feel like my ESPN
19:53I don't know if it's
19:54still going on but when I was in high school it was PTI yeah and then there's one with like
20:01uh
20:02a dude with like slick back hair around the horn yes those were the Tony Reale yes Tony Reale
20:09they just canceled that no yeah no he's like six months ago yeah I'm so late to everything
20:18no oh but that was the that was like the gold there was like a that was good it's good
20:23tv they're
20:24not really doing a lot of that anymore yeah it's I don't know if it's like do you think it's
20:29because
20:30we're so in our phones that we could scroll past anything where it's like okay we're at war
20:36like obviously for for me personally it is super triggering and like reminiscent of like my
20:42childhood but this thing sucks phones fucking suck I'm like I and even knowing that that's how I feel
20:51I still there will be parts of the day where I kind of like go like how long have I
20:56been doing this
20:57how long have I been doing this I've been doing this for an hour it's like you just lose
21:02these things are just built to make you keep going like the next thing I see is going to be
21:06the thing
21:06that makes me feel better yeah the next thing I see I watch people flip watches on 47th street
21:11some guy just drinks a Red Bull and he's like I got a Daytona let's fuck and then he goes
21:17from kiosk
21:18to kiosk and he's like 28 grand he's like nope 28 five and I'm just like why am I why
21:23am I watching
21:23why am I watching I've heard so many young women tell me the stories of their breakups and I'm like
21:27these are not my friends it's gotten so bad we're like like I guess I guess you're a little older
21:35than me why'd we have to say shit like that I thought we were having a nice time like a
21:40fraction
21:41yeah just a fraction older than me but like but like when you were in school like I when I
21:47got into
21:48high school it was the end of the flip phone and like the start of the blackberry and that college
21:54for me right there I was like that stop stop it stop I want that little click click click click
21:59click click click yeah remember how dirty people girls balls used to be that like white ball and he's
22:03yeah the uh the little roller ball yeah just clipping it imagine remember how dirty girls balls used to be
22:09was crazy it was crazy that was saving you from yourself uh yeah my ball was filthy
22:16dirty girl balls I love dirty girl balls in college yeah but then BBM was the peak of talking
22:22to people on your phone yeah like blackberry messenger being able to go like click click click click click
22:27click click click yeah done as soon as everything went to touch screen I was like oh this was yeah
22:31and if you wanted to go on the internet like you could but it's gonna take a while you could
22:34but it
22:35was like really not worth it yeah not worth it yeah um but yeah that was I feel like was
22:39like peak
22:40peak mankind right there it was like and now it's just like hurtling off of a cliff like I don't
22:46know
22:46what's going on with sports gambling right now is like the most stressful thing about that's what I
22:50was gonna say my cousins that's that's all they do and they're they're children and I get it because
22:56it's like a game on their phone it's like what I would have done with like snood when I was
23:00in high
23:00school yeah but snood didn't cost you five grand it wasn't linked to my bank account like it's just really
23:06stressful for me like as soon as they made it not illegal though like the only people paying to
23:13make new sports content were gambling companies right how has it changed in so like I'm sure dan
23:21like when we started comedy it was so different where like everyone watched dan's conan like getting
23:28a conan set was the biggest fucking thing you could do going to the montreal comedy festival was
23:33biggest thing you could do how is what you do changed like dress I imagine it's the same it's
23:38just yeah it's there's too many places to go to find it and most sports stuff is tied to the
23:44value
23:44of like rights and only certain people have like rights to show footage and stuff like that so like
23:51the networks have their couple shows but they've mostly cut everything down to what's easiest and
23:58cheapest to produce to support the fact that they put all the money into buying the right to show
24:03a football game you know yeah because it's like we're back to cable sort of where it's like well
24:09you can only get this game on peacock but then this game this year so baseball just started i don't
24:14know
24:14i want to rock your world but it started today yesterday and today oh my god that's where we are
24:18in the calendar and like in order i think i was reading a thing about the yankees where it was
24:22like if you
24:22wanted to watch every single yankees game this year you'd have to have like seven different
24:27subscription services one of them being cabled how's that cool it's just too much
24:31is the yes network it's every yes that does still exist michael k he's still alive right he sure is
24:39there is something we have to get to who is your football team the philadelphia eagles what the
24:44fuck happened how the fuck and if you say big dom i i punch me in the face yes big
24:51dom well here's
24:53so what happened was all this like bad stuff was happening in in my life and uh my buddy dave
25:01called me he was like come to philly and i was like i can't i'm a fucking giants fan he's
25:07like no
25:08just like come come hang out and i went to philly and i fell in love with philly because it
25:14reminded
25:14me of what new york used to be like that makes sense i guess and everyone there was not i
25:20was
25:20walking around the street and like it was positive it wasn't like it is here or anywhere it was all
25:27just
25:27like hey good to see you around here or like not even asking for pictures just like very nice and
25:32then
25:33i met dom and i just was hanging out in the facility and uh started hanging out with the
25:39players and we just all became friends and then and then i every i would go to all the games
25:43and
25:43they have not lost one game that i've been to whoa that's big yeah that's big they play well for
25:48you they they really want you to like them yeah yeah um they go guys pete's here and let's go
25:53and that year uh was just so happened to be the year that they went to super bowl so everybody
25:58took something that's just like big bandwagoner did pete davidson get them to the super bowl but
26:03i love how i'm treated there i love uh how they treat people um and it's just like a very
26:13loving
26:13i was at a place in my life where i was like i'm going where love is because i am
26:18suffering so much
26:19and uh now i almost some of my best friends are all there and uh i really i love it
26:26there all right
26:27i that's i really didn't think you'd be able to make me go like are you pats i get it
26:32yeah yeah
26:33you're not gonna become a dolphin fan uh no even if they invite you to the stay on the field
26:39literally never to the point where dan's friend mike mcdaniel was the head coach of the dolphins
26:45yeah we went to a bunch of dolphins and then he became miami as a person yes he really did
26:49it was
26:50he really did it was fun to watch he's the man and he's in la now and he's gonna be
26:54fantastic
26:55what is he rams uh chargers yeah offensive coordinator which i think will be really
26:59good and awesome but dan was like we're going to see like we would go see when they would be
27:04in town
27:04we would go to metlife and watch like jets dolphins and i'd be sitting there in the crowd like i
27:10was
27:10like i'm rooting for a sinkhole i hate this this sucks there's one one question i've been asked because
27:16a podcast is supposed to have a thing it's got it you got to put a button on it yes
27:19yeah what is something
27:20you've learned in your life from uh experiences that works for you and it can't be something that
27:27someone told you or um like gave you advice so what's my really smart thing i've learned from my
27:37own life experience that works for me go birds um i uh found out late in life i sound like
27:48every
27:48white lady you've ever met but late in life was when i found out i had add it was not
27:53as it wasn't
27:54recent so it was before the big wave right but it was late it was after i was done it's
27:58after i was
27:59done with school it was after it would have really helped me to know that i had a learning disability
28:04um and so i used to always feel really guilty and upset with myself when i wasn't able to like
28:09read books something about sitting down i always wanted to be the type of person that would sit
28:14down and read a book right but i found it really difficult to like not keep reading the same page
28:19over and over because my mind would whatever and i learned that if i listen to the audiobook
28:26while reading the book it takes the problem away completely and i'm actually like a i can be an avid
28:32reader do you 2x it no i don't i think i probably do like 1.1 and 1.5 right
28:38i like you know speed it
28:40up a little and you can ride the thing to move with you as you go but it's also good
28:44because if my brain
28:45wanders i like the it helps i don't know for some reason two channels being dominated by the same
28:51information helps it drown out the other channels because it's always being reinforced which i don't
28:56know what that is but i found that it worked for me and it was like unlocking something i feel
29:01like
29:01that'll help a lot of people maybe it does suck that you have to buy both the audiobook and the
29:06book but i use libby which is like what's libby if you have a library card um libby's like
29:13libby's like uh you can get you can get ebooks and audio books from the library but without having to
29:20go to the library it's in your phone it's just free free library but libraries are free right yeah but
29:25i'm saying it's in your phone so if you wanted to like read on your kindle sometimes you're like
29:33sometimes you gotta wait in line for like popular titles but at least you're not paying like seven
29:37dollars for an audiobook and twenty dollars for an e-book and then right spending 27 to read a book
29:42which is a little much yeah an indirect sponsor of today's show well it's the library so you know
29:48we won't make them pay it's kind of like charity right we can write this off on our taxes for
29:53sure which i
29:54have to do well thank you for doing this yeah thank you for having me this was so fun it
29:58was so nice
29:58to see you for the second time yeah first time being like 15 years ago
