00:24did you guys get into wrestling no seriously so when you got you guys are obviously okay so
00:43when Nikki and I first started our wrestling journey was through diva search and this is like before
00:49social media so they were on a search for female wrestlers but this is the thing is that you didn't
00:54see it in an Instagram ad or someone's like hey free social media days it was a flyer and just
01:01like
01:01word of mouth and also like with WWE they were promoting like we're on search for female wrestlers
01:08and so we went to diva search and now Nikki and I thought okay like we're gonna show up and
01:14fight
01:15like we were ready we had bandanas just know like people other people yeah we had bandanas we weren't
01:21even like wearing makeup we had like ponytails we made shirts mine said breezy for sheezy her said
01:26Nicole for show yeah and then on our butts it said the Garcia twins and like we showed up and
01:32we're
01:32like let's go and it was way different it was like girls it was more of like they kind of
01:38judged you
01:39like they were like physically looking at your body right they're kind of picking you apart a little bit
01:44and told us to go get boob jobs yeah they told you to get boob jobs yeah wow yeah so
01:51it was wait
01:52like how soon into the we were like a few minutes into it they're like well we had to get
01:57into swimsuits
01:58I go like when we got them because we ended up getting boob jobs I was like that was 15
02:02years
02:03like later like after kids for you yeah the best is we told them off about like boob jobs and
02:10then
02:10like later in life we went and got them but we deserved them at that point yeah I mean the
02:14boobies
02:14got worn right yeah they told us that at like you should do it on your own time exactly and
02:19that's
02:19what we did so they tell you to get a boob job and you're like I'm gonna fucking kill you
02:23and your family and so then we were like they we didn't make it but you know there's this woman
02:31and she saw us and she was like hey I see a lot of potential in you two and granted
02:34you're not
02:35going further like because we weren't the look that they wanted she's like do you guys really want
02:39to fight and we're like yes she's like yeah and so she was like um we have this developmental
02:45program in mcdonough georgia it's called the deep south can we send you there for a week and
02:51do some training and then we'll give you an audition so we did that and we fell in love like
02:56we went there and it was wild because for us you know you walk in and we were watching them
03:01all
03:01train and you know taking those first back bumps and learning you know just the craft it's hard on
03:06your body but I mean we really really fell in love with all of it and seen everyone I'll never
03:11forget
03:11they had this like show and one of the guys was like dressing up kind of like a vampire and
03:17we were
03:17like can we tonight like hide in your cape and like when you come out you're like rah and like
03:21we come out and we just had so much fun and we finally yeah we finally felt like the right
03:26place
03:26character part of it just as much as kicking it oh my gosh big time right so much we feel
03:32like
03:32that's like the magic of pro wrestling is like those characters you can get lost in or laugh at and
03:39it's like a men's soap opera like I love those kind of days so were there any other like was
03:44it
03:44did you have any other backup plans like a rap duo or and before we should have been I mean
03:51I mean
03:51I got my real estate license at one point you did yeah just in case no but like if diva
03:56search didn't
03:56work out oh yeah I was gonna go play pro soccer in Italy what the hell you know well she
04:02was like
04:02we really need to go wrestle and then once I got to the McDonough Georgia I was like once I
04:09took my
04:09first bump in the ring I was like that's it I meant to do this so if they were gonna
04:13say no I think we
04:14would have went and did maybe the indies or something yeah for sure we would have found our way
04:17yeah so how much has wrestling changed since you guys started I mean it's changed a lot and I feel
04:24like one the biggest thing is the kayfabe of it because we have opened up that curtain to the backstage
04:30and you know we're showing you the magic now and which I think there's a part of us because of
04:36social
04:36media we're so curious about it so it's an it's really intriguing to see how we do it but then
04:42there's
04:42a part of me that's sad because when we first started when you went and did radio interviews
04:47you were in character like we were heels like you went in as heels and sometimes I guess I didn't
04:52understand that like oh someone listening is like dang the bells are bitches but you know you're in
04:57character and you're trying to get your storylines over and talking about your opponents you're fighting
05:01so there's like that a lot of that has changed and the style of wrestling for sure has changed
05:08and um I mean the bar keeps going higher and higher which is incredible to watch
05:12and I don't know I mean and for women it's oh yeah so much for women for sure like beyond
05:17like
05:18they're pretty much equal now to the men which is like huge right and like almost just as many
05:24matches and just as competitive and athletic and stuff yeah so it's changing a lot of good ways and
05:30then there's like little things you miss but that's the I think the nostalgia part yeah who are your
05:34guys is like did you watch wrestling and you're like I want to do that like who is your like
05:39for
05:39me like Chappelle's my favorite he's the reason why I want oh my gosh he's oh my gosh hilarious I
05:44miss a
05:44lot of his stuff the Chappelle show was so great it's ridiculous that it was only two seasons oh it
05:49was
05:49only two seasons yeah it's just every single sketch was huge so it feels like it was this like grander
05:54thing but it was it was only around for two years wow but who was like your you know person
05:59that you
06:00wanted to emulate the most who was your favorite I mean I feel like it's crazy because there's
06:06personalities of men that you love like there was Macho Man who I felt like really captured not only
06:12the pro wrestling crowd but was kind of you know he captured that mainstream audience as well he's my
06:17favorite part of Spider-Man I mean he was Bonesaw oh was he really in the first Spider-Man oh

06:23remember when Tobey Maguire did you see the first Spider-Man no ever I mean I did but I don't
06:27remember it
06:28you did I feel like Tobey Maguire I never was into Spider-Man Batman loved okay Superman loved
06:34well Spider-Man's more of like a boy I know Spider-Man I could never get Batman is more of
06:38like a guy that's dark and has a pill problem and like yeah yeah yeah I love it in the
06:43Lego movie
06:45Spider-Man the Lego movie no Batman in the Lego movie oh he's hilarious he's so funny oh Will Arnett
06:51he has the best voice ever yeah yeah yeah sometimes I watch the Reese's commercials and I'm like
06:56it's like ASMR he has one of the coolest voices ever yeah for sure but so like when I look

07:02males like I always kind of look at him and even the way he used Miss Elizabeth like I felt

07:08did such an incredible job having a woman at his hand and really put her over at the same time

07:12her to get his heat I don't know I just I thought he did such a fabulous job and then
07:17when I look at
07:17women I mean when I started watching wrestling you know I wasn't a young girl I was more it was
07:23when I
07:23hit my college time so when I was watching I was watching people like Beth Phoenix Melina and
07:28Mickie James who are all crushing it and sometimes I feel like they get a little left out of the
07:34equation of great wrestling and I'm like because what they were doing at that time you know wasn't
07:39really expected from women I thought they put on incredible matches and was really fun and Nikki and
07:45I always when we first got into it we loved watching a lot of footage of the jumping bomb angels
07:50so a Japanese tag team and they were doing incredible things so I don't know I mean I
07:57it's weird wrestling like when you get into it you'll find yourself watching old footage and present I
08:04don't know when you really get in pro wrestling we're lucky enough to like dive in and kind of
08:08get spoiled with decades of just all different kinds of wrestling you've been doing it for it's 20
08:14years now yeah right I don't think I'm taking breaks but I don't think people understand how
08:19hectic your guys's schedule is yeah no seasons like it just continues yeah it goes on and on how
08:25do you guys find downtime for yourselves drink a lot of wine huh-huh I mean it was kind of
08:31weird
08:31weird because yeah when we were like yeah that's it um I got I was like when her and I
08:42were really in it like we went
08:4310 years straight like five days a week and you just you missed weddings you missed all the important
08:49events that going on like your loved one's lives but then you know when I wanted to have kids and
08:55I stepped
08:56away I definitely had to tell myself like as a woman like you're gonna take a huge step back you
09:01know from your career and at that time they were just getting rid of the divas title bringing in the
09:05women's and I remember I was like should I leave but I kind of was like accepted the fact that
09:09like I
09:09might be forgotten and like but there's like this new chapter in my life that's gonna be really beautiful
09:14and I was excited for that to be a mom so it's kind of fun being back now because I
09:20when I came back
09:21at the Royal Rumble I told Nikki I'm like I don't think people are gonna remember she yeah I was
09:24like
09:24stressed out and when I came out to such a great reaction I was like oh my gosh oh hi
09:29guys I'm like
09:30girl you're brie mode I know but you never know like I don't know time's really flown is that why
09:36you stepped away specifically to start a family yeah you know it was like my husband at the time was
09:41forced to retire and he was going through a lot and I just remember that year when he was forced
09:47to
09:47retire it was so hard to pack my bags and go on the road and leave him behind yeah and
09:53I just was
09:54like I think this is like God saying like it's time for a starter family because we always talked
09:58about it like we we wanted to be parents but you know in entertainment especially in pro wrestling
10:02like it always feels like there's never a good time but I and so I just remember I was like
10:08one day I
10:09was like you know what let's do it you know but yeah that's why I stepped away yeah how do
10:14you balance
10:15the like the time away and do well I imagine like now they come with you well sometimes it's crazy
10:21because majority of the time like for me because Brie just came back I with co-parenting I plan my
10:30days
10:30like when I'm on the road so I have to plan my flights like okay do school drop off and
10:37then I go
10:37straight to the airport I fly to smackdown and then I make sure I'm home in time to like pick
10:41him up
10:41from school um but like this past time it was probably the first time Mateo has really come
10:48on the road that's right right like on the road as like far as like the wrestling road right um
10:53yeah
10:53which was fun um but I always tell Brie I go why is it I just stopped making it like
11:00a new year's
11:00eve resolution because I'm always feel like my resolution every year is I'm gonna find balance
11:04this year never find balance it's just like so impossible and I finally realized you just gotta
11:10take 24 at a time day by day because kids always have different needs or careers are just it's like
11:16I mean you know being in entertainment everything's so different you book something you have to be
11:20somewhere you have media you have this now that we all zoom all the time it's like hey you have
11:26a
11:26meeting you have media it's just non-stop do they know you guys are cool finally just found out
11:32and what is what was their reaction they because I imagine your fans are like rabid
11:39right like if someone knows who you guys are they're like holy shit like you guys have like a cult
11:45follow
11:45like that's what's so cool about yeah these people they follow you for yeah such a cool are they like
11:49what the fuck they I remember the first time picking Mateo up and we got McCartney goes are you
11:55Nikki Bella and I was like who told you that and because I never told him about that are you
12:02Nikki for show
12:03yeah yeah mom for show mom for show um and then he I was like yes I am Nikki Bella
12:13and he's like you
12:13wrestle and I'm like I do wrestle and so we had a like full-on talk so now at times
12:20like yeah we'll be
12:21talking to people and then he'll just interrupt and go do you know she's Nikki Bella and I'm like
12:25damn but now we just found out this on this trip that she's Brie Bella that was his first time
12:31oh you didn't put two and two together no because and it was she's always anti-breezy I'm anti-breezy
12:36and I think for so long as even when Nikki went back like I'm still to them like a mom
12:41but my son
12:42he's obsessed with wrestling and he literally I he was like because he'd watch his dad all the time my
12:48husband just retired last year and he would always be like you should challenge yourself
12:53like be a firefighter wrestler and I'm like I was a wrestler he's like no you weren't and I'm like
12:58yes I was and I don't let them watch YouTube so we didn't good yeah so like I never have
13:05shown him
13:05my footage but when he saw me at the rumble and then my last two matches now when I come
13:09home I'll
13:10be on the couch and he'll be like missile drop kick I'm like oh and I'm like so now he
13:14wants to
13:14wrestle me all the time which I love but he he does think I'm cool that's like I can see
13:19it even
13:19in his eyes like he's like whoa yeah how do you guys balance being out with your kids and getting
13:25because that's a new thing where I'll I'll take my kid off on like in the stroller and work and
13:30then
13:30sometimes people come over and I'm my my whole line has been like hey I'm with I'm like this is
13:37this time you're in dad mode right but like how do you toe that fine line where it's like respectful
13:42but also just like respect like my personal space I mean my husband he always does a good
13:47job like if people come up and be like oh I'm sorry with the family right now but I I'm
13:52not because
13:53I'm such a people pleaser and they know that you can kick their ass too which is yeah yeah yeah
13:57I'm they're like we could beat up Pete yeah yeah yeah he best be nice to us yeah I guess
14:04we I don't
14:04know I feel like I should be better at times with it because sometimes I'll give in and I'll be
14:09like
14:09oh okay okay like quick but I think people I also go by off my kids energy like they're not
14:15happening fans they've been respect yeah they've respected the kids I've actually been really shocked
14:20with how fans have been with that like oh I see your son like is it okay they'll always ask
14:25a lot of
14:26people do do that I mean she even was talking with someone at the flag football game and they were
14:30live streaming the whole time she had no idea oh you didn't know no like that's a thing and then
14:35it was
14:35everywhere and I was like oh my gosh what I was like oh god thank goodness I made it I
14:41was talking
14:41about Wrestlemania but I like literally it was like a younger guy and I'm like oh you have a nice
14:47body you should be a wrestler Wrestlemania is coming up and it was only because it was such an awkward
14:51photo and everyone left and I was standing there and I was like oh hi life it was a live
14:56stream the
14:57whole time we were always taught that in wrestling like perception is reality but I get really mad at
15:03some of the perception of people because it's not reality and I'm like you only knew them what a
15:07giant yeah and then they'll look at me and they'll go whore and I'm like because I'm single
15:14baby it's like they just call you name she's such a whore she's single yeah fuck her she's cleavage
15:19whore and I'm like yeah and then like the whore guy walking by is like oh he's amazing look at
15:26him
15:27and he's aging so great god bless him fuck you oh my gosh it's so true it's so true it's
15:35so true
15:35whore whore I get that one a lot well the live stream they're like she's so horny I'm like oh
15:41my
15:41god promoting someone for wrestling I didn't even know it was the most uncomfortable conversation
15:46the men on the internet and the wrestling industry I mean they even like call themselves something
15:53they're so brutal to women like the women in our industry to all of us what they're terrible
15:58what's the writer's room like so a lot of our writers they'll you know you'll hear a lot of
16:04great ideas you don't know what's going to end up going through and then they'll have like head of
16:08creative so it usually will go then through like the top of creative of whether it's a yes or no
16:14so
16:15it's interesting because I see our writers work so hard and they put so much thought and detail
16:20and elaborate stories but sometimes that doesn't always come off is like how much detail they yeah
16:26right put in well it's also it like relies heavily on your guys's performance like yeah well and time
16:33yeah and yeah like you guys are command like live performing and commanding like you know crowds of
16:41like 20,000 people like that's fucking terrifying right right or writer might think oh we get eight
16:47minutes to tell the story tonight and then you know you're in 30 minutes before you're walking
16:51out and they're like oh we have three minutes to tell the story now right and everyone's scrambling
16:55have you guys had live changes where like they're like hey we're like not doing that anymore yeah
16:59like right before oh gosh yeah why especially back in the day I feel like we were hit with that
17:05a lot
17:05did you guys ever have like a little bit of competition with each other
17:09no no I mean we went against each other for a bit I turned on her do you mean like
17:14actually
17:15competing or like like not in the show like oh no we root for each other yeah we're each other's
17:22biggest cheerleader I think being twins though we've been compared our whole lives and I think
17:26we've kind of been used to that so when it I don't know Nikki and I've always worked really great
17:31as a team just in the sense of like one people will be like are you guys twins we're like
17:37yeah and then they'll go like look at our features and like well actually you you're like
17:40this and that so we've been used to that our whole lives older all the time all the time and
17:46even
17:46like when we're we're on the soccer field people would be like oh well Nikki is like better at this
17:50and that like constantly being compared so I think we hate like it came to us yeah yeah but working
17:56together we're like each other's biggest cheerleader because we're like you know we know we need to
18:00give each other the confidence and the boost yeah and where did you guys grow up mainly
18:04Scottsdale Arizona oh wow yeah zonies so we it'd be hot there cars be melting I mean you could like
18:13have baked cookies on your car I mean when we gave birth yeah to the boys it was like I
18:20remember it was
18:20like 120 degrees in the room and I was in the room outside I mean outside but my room wouldn't
18:26get
18:26under like 80 degrees because where the sun was facing and as you're about to birth a baby I was
18:31like
18:32ugh I'm like why do I still live here I'm out oh so you lived there for so we lived
18:37there it was
18:38mainly third grade to high school then we went back to Cali we were born in San Diego a lot
18:43of our
18:43families from outside of there so we went back to Cali we were mainly San Diego and then she went
18:49back
18:49to Phoenix first and then I had just moved there and then the pandemic hit and then I had a
18:54baby
18:55and then I was like why did I move back here and then we moved to Northern California how long
19:00did
19:00COVID protocol take for you guys to or you guys still kept going so well because we had the babies
19:05we weren't doing it then oh you guys were out but we had to film our last season of our
19:09reality show
19:11and what would we stop for 14 days how many seasons did you guys do 10 or well one we
19:17did nine because
19:18we bailed on the 10 for total divas and then total bellas was like six six seasons how it went
19:26a long
19:2610 years how exhausting is that it's exhausting right because we were wrestling full-time and
19:32and then on camera the entire time and we would do divas and then divas once that wrapped we go
19:36straight in total bellas and then when that wrap we go back to total divas um we had like a
19:42few like
19:42five hard years what's that schedule is it every day they would get to film you up to six days
19:47a
19:47week yeah 12 hours a day like that's what they could we would try to like condense it yeah a
19:53bit
19:53because they would also be at tv with us so when we were going over our matches they were filming
19:57us
19:57when we come back from our matches when they would be ringside with us during our matches um just
20:03people in your house all the time yeah we birthed babies on camera what we birthed babies when I looked
20:10at that footage I'm like I can't believe the entire world is seeing me there's a guy like in there
20:15what like a boom mic well because it was the pandemic they just had a they had my ex set
20:20up
20:20stands and he put one of the cameras just straight through the chute so this is getting blurred but
20:28it's all thighs I mean her first one I remember the lady kept um birdie who's almost nine kept getting
20:37in her stuff and I was getting irritated I'm like why is she filming that it's so close which
20:42that kind of stuff doesn't really air but all the editors see it yeah someone's some guy with like
20:48glasses and a diet coke is like yeah going through footage like but it's also editing room saw national
20:54geographic or whatever it is yeah what I've been loving like the last five years is we've seen like
21:00women on the rise and I know sometimes for men they can kind of be like uh you know because
21:03I feel like hey but it's the truth but it is because it's like our time to be equal he
21:09is no
21:10I know he is I know he wants no I'm all I'm all in favor yeah take the crown we're
21:15exhausted
21:15honest real guys are really tired yeah and women let's be honest you know women wanted the crown
21:21from day one but you guys kind of took it from you could have it and I feel like we
21:25do it a little
21:26bit better too but the one thing that I've really loved is just seeing the strength of women and I
21:31think
21:31that you know it really relates with Nikki and I and what we've been doing in the ring for decades
21:36is you know where I found my strength and where I felt really empowered was standing in the ring
21:42and you know not only fighting other women it was kind of just just fighting in a male you know
21:48dominated industry I feel like for so long as women like I was someone who was always afraid to speak
21:54up because I didn't want to say the wrong things and get made fun of or do I sound educated
21:59enough am I
21:59up to par but the one thing I love about wrestling is like it opened up this side of me
22:04where
22:04I felt really badass and then I started to know how to defend myself but I just felt like I
22:09started
22:10to know who I was and for so many women out there I always suggest like you know combat sports
22:16martial
22:16arts all that there's something about it that it brings out this confidence in you totally and this
22:22side of like if you're a woman and you know how to find your voice and protect yourself
22:25like you're unstoppable right I think physical strength is a big part of mental strength and
22:32people don't realize that and I think as divas as female wrestlers started to recognize that of
22:38like the empowerment but when you're in there slamming people which is crazy and doing the craziest moves
22:44and you could also do it with men it was just the mindset of it you realize you can conquer
22:49so much
22:50and it's weird because everywhere we go we always have women stop us and just be like you're our
22:54inspirations like you're our goals and I'm like really like in what way and it always is connected
22:59to working out like there will be like you know I were I started working out because of you and
23:04all
23:04that and I go oh it's like the physical strength part but I think that's a part of us women
23:08that had
23:09been suppressed for so long and I'm not saying we've all been doing sports forever and all that but it's
23:14awesome when you can truly express it and people actually respect it and right now in pro wrestling we're
23:19seeing that where it's more women's matches than they've ever seen every night when you watch
23:23wrestling um the women are being way more respected just like the men I mean it's been it's an incredible
23:29time to be a woman right now this will be your first wrestlemania in how many years 11 wow what's
23:34first wrestlemania in 11 years are you guys jacked up so jacked up so they just announced our match last
23:39night and so we we're so excited we're really excited there's something very special about walking
23:46down that ramp it's like like Super Bowl in a way we'd always call it but it's like a very
23:50special
23:51special ramp you get a walk down if you ever get the opportunity yeah and it's neat because Nikki
23:56actually just found this video I don't know how long ago it was and we were talking we're like we
24:00wish WWE had women's tag team titles we always wanted that like yeah and so that was always something
24:06we really wanted and then when we both retired then they came and we're like oh man like we missed
24:12the
24:12timing right but the fact that we can actually fight for them it's been a dream come true and
24:17right now to the women's tag team divisions on fire like there's so many incredible teams to fight which
24:23is awesome so we just feel like you know sometimes you like Vegas yeah timing is everything timing is
24:30everything it's nice that it's west coast too because a lot of our fam gets to come um I don't
24:35know
24:35there's just so much you know when you like Bri and I are like vision board people and like we'll
24:39look
24:40at like oh my god it's such a full circle moment we manifested it and like in the most perfect
24:45way
24:46where like kids won't be asleep it's like full circle moment we're in the desert we're west coast
24:53we're like 2026 don't even know what that year has to do with it but you know year of the
24:58horse
24:58oh that's right we were saying year of the horse what does that mean strength so last year was year
25:04of the snake so they say more like introvert you're going through feelings and then you shed that
25:08and then the horse comes through which it did here in 2026 and then now you're going to take
25:13everything with that strength and snake are you guys very into the stars love all of that and
25:18crystals we will yeah so there's one question I've been asking everyone like and subscribe just like

25:31have is what is something that you've learned from your personal ex own personal experience that
25:38wasn't taught to you like um like so that's a great question that like works in your everyday
25:43life I mean mine I feel like anytime I feel really overwhelmed and I don't really have clarity
25:49and what I'm doing or what's going on and I just it's like I don't know I need a moment
25:56I always have to go to nature whether that's like going to my gardens being in the coop with my
26:02chickens you're going I do I have six my girls I love them she is great going on a hike
26:09but it
26:10always reminds me just to be in the present and to live and what really life's about like when I
26:17feel
26:17like the wind going through my hair and like the sun kissing my skin and just hearing the birds I'm
26:23like oh this is living right and it just completely grounds me and puts everything in perspective
26:29and I was never taught that I just that's what I found and I just feel like my soul always
26:36needs
26:36so for me um one of like when I went through like one of the hardest times of my life
26:43I was like okay I need to hit this head on so I'm going to take out alcohol I'm going
26:49to take out
26:49sugar I'm going to increase my nutrients and like increase meditation but I felt like
26:56I was able to overcome and heal so quick from I mean it was my divorce and I felt like
27:03I was just
27:03able to heal so quickly because I was just able to fight through like every emotion that I was going
27:09through and I still had really bad nights and bad days but it was crazy how like just one day
27:15I felt
27:15so healed and I felt like if I was putting a lot of toxins in my body I wouldn't have
27:21gone down that
27:22path right um and I went off social media I didn't look at anything on the news just disconnected three
27:29months from life all of it that's really but oh yeah when you're when you have not as now that
27:36I'm sober
27:36if like now I really feel things yeah and it like hurts and it hurts but then you process it
27:42right
27:42you're like okay I feel this and yeah you feel it so hard but then you heal so great thank
