00:31getting married in Blue Ridge we picked this amazing wedding venue we're really excited to
00:37get married in the chapel and be able to walk out and ring that Bell and it's gonna be fun

00:43we ring this it's going to mean something yeah well we love it here so much we've decided we
00:49want to leave Atlanta and move up to Blue Ridge full-time work came first for many years so when
00:55it came time to find somebody I was just at a different point in my life I was driving through
00:59Atlanta and there was this big billboard for a matchmaking company and that just made all the
01:04sense in the world to me didn't take long to meet Kelsey and for me it was a little bit
01:08different
01:09took a couple of years off from dating to just focus on myself and I happen to be doing a
01:15work
01:15event and the matchmakers were hosting it I gave them a call and Chad was my third date I didn't
01:22get a great start I dropped out of high school I meandered around for a while working dead-end jobs
01:28until one day I said I know I'm better than this so went to college worked my butt off that's
01:33how he
01:33got a start and ended up with a master's degree and opened up his own business and is now able
01:38to
01:38do things like buying a million dollar mountain house for me I'm really looking for a more luxurious
01:43home I'm kind of leaning a little bit more towards that rustic style I want to know that I'm in
01:48the
01:48mountains and I want to feel that I'm in the mountains it's all about the mountain views also
01:52what's very important to us as we grow our family we want room to expand so a lot that's buildable
01:57that
01:58we can add on to as our needs change our budget is between two to three million for me part
02:07of
02:07falling in love with Blue Ridge had to do with the town and the shopping and getting to explore for
02:13me
02:13it's a change of pace a slower life hopefully a better life and we're looking forward to starting
02:17a family and raising our children in this kind of environment so I think moving to Blue Ridge is
02:22going to be a defining moment for me after coming up to Blue Ridge a few times we kept on
02:28hearing
02:28around town that Brian was the guy to work with so we went ahead and we gave him a call
02:32and we're
02:33hoping that he's going to help us find the right house the first home showing Chad and Kelsey is just
02:39a 15-minute drive from Blue Ridge it's a true mountain home with a lot large enough for them to
02:43build on okay well here we are wow this is a very cool house I like that view of the
02:51stone
02:52the L-shaped porch that's really nice but it's actually called chic chalet four bedroom four
02:59bath 4200 square feet it's on 1.5 acres and they're asking 2.8 now I noticed we pulled into
03:05a carport we're
03:06kind of expecting a garage yeah garages aren't necessarily standard here in this area I thought
03:11garages were standard kind of like an appliance I just didn't know that I need to put garage on my
03:16wish list we definitely have some garages we can go look at on some of the properties and there's
03:20actually space if we wanted to do an addition oh cool we could absolutely convert this to a garage
03:26all built on this great view why don't we go check out the inside now yeah let's do it here

04:37the ceiling for the hood vent you know they really bring in all those mountain elements to this
04:42property and I love that feel that we get from it you just hit the nail on the head it's

04:47know you're in the mountains you know you're in nature yeah and I'm shocked because I'm totally a
04:51little bit more of that luxe girl but just this light fixture but I really really like it's mountain
04:57luxury yeah right another guest suite down through here and a half bath oh check this out I love this

05:20treads I love this oh wow this is probably one of the biggest primary suites I've ever seen look at
05:30this oh look at that whole wood wall and then the wood ceiling and the view I mean just gets

05:38better that is breathtaking well I really wanted you also to see this on suite bathroom it is something
05:45like you've probably never seen before oh my gosh oh my gosh wow when does it end look at the

05:58it's everywhere in this house it has a vanity for me to get ready there's my glam moment love the
06:05staining tub oh I love that for little baby there's a shower behind that it's massive oh my gosh I

07:47downtown Blue Ridge they did like the first home but I know Kelsey wants something a little more

07:59garage yeah it's pretty spectacular three-car garage wow my gosh yeah you can see the view right to the

08:05door this is why we're all here for these big mountain views it's unbelievable this is skyline
08:10retreat four bedroom three and a half bath it's 5,000 square feet it's on 1.6 acres and they're
08:15asking 3.5 I know your initial budget was 3 million I wanted to show this one though anyway just

08:20I knew you're gonna like the garage I think you're really gonna love these interiors okay and of course
08:24it's got huge mountain views well let's go inside this is amazing oh wow oh yeah look at that view
08:34this is absolutely stunning I love this open concept big tall windows definitely you look out
08:41the windows it takes your breath away and then you start to look around it takes your breath away again
08:45this is so beautiful yeah this is one of a kind here in Blue Ridge it's so light and airy

08:51there looks like there's plenty of outdoor living space out there but sure which I love let's go check
08:57that out the pass-through fireplace outdoor kitchen I mean this is a whole house outside you can get the
09:06whole family around this table I love that I don't think you could do outdoor living better than this

09:17that makes entertaining really easy everything we need in the kitchen that backsplash the tile work
09:25I mean it looks just so intricate so much detail and the storage these lights are so cool and you've
09:32got to have a view at your sink and I love how this opens up to the outside so for

09:38in and out this kind of feels like our home in Atlanta but I do love it do you want

11:13shower the tile work is just so beautiful and another bedroom oh geez this place is just huge
11:21this is such a great guest room this is such a great space for people to come and hang out
11:30think football games movies there's something for everyone yeah you know what I'm starting to think
11:37it feels an awful lot like what we're leaving I know it's a lot to think about I think you've

11:57this is an amazing house now it has kind of got me thinking it's a little bit too much like

12:04have in Atlanta the outside of the skyline retreat is just unreal there's something to do on every
12:12level of this house it definitely see us entertaining and having fun outside the indoor outdoor living is
12:18top ten Chad and Kelsey really did like skyline Ridge but their move to the mountains is more than
12:24just changing their surroundings it's leaving their life behind in Atlanta and I can relate the final
12:30house I'm showing them we'll definitely give them the full mountain experience oh geez look at this
12:35road yeah this is um I think you'd call this off the beaten path right well let's go up and
12:41see it
12:41yeah always keep an open mind yeah so surely this is the top oh geez hey there that was quite
12:49a drive
12:49yeah it's actually a little different from the other two we looked at where it's like flat to get the
12:54view you absolutely have to go up the mountain on this one to get the view well it makes sense
12:58now that
12:58we see it it can be foggy when you're this far up in the mountain but the Sun will burn

13:03okay so this is Sunset Ridge it's a four bedroom four and a half bath it's a 4200 square feet

13:09over four acres and they're asking 2.65 there is no garage currently but there is room to build one

13:24uh pivot door oh this front door so coming up the road this is what you get oh my goodness
13:34great open floor plan yeah love that love this kitchen it has a his and hers island oh gosh the
13:43backsplash on this one and then it being different over there and I just love that eight burner range
13:48really nice you know it actually looks like the fog is lifting outdoor kitchen big views when I said
13:57outdoor kitchen it's more like outdoor grilling station but perfect for steaks this is incredible
14:04this is a long-range layered mountain view great space for outdoor entertaining of course love this
14:10table love this fire pit area perfect place to sit around at night imagine our family and friends out
14:15here what a view I've never seen anything like yeah I know so much more than I was thinking and
14:20you had mentioned about wanting to expand we have room down there yeah it looks a little
14:24steep so if we did build it it'd be quite a challenge getting to it well obviously the
14:29view on the outside is amazing but the inside is pretty incredible as well yeah I want to see
14:34what I'm gonna wake up to well I know you're getting married soon so I think what you're gonna be
14:37waking up to is this guy right here you mean the view yeah that's right let's go inside love that
14:44fireplace oh yeah yeah I mean that's exactly the kind of detail we're looking for so here's the
14:49primary Wow all right check out this woodwork in here and the beams I love that I could definitely live
14:58in this yeah this is the exact aesthetic we're looking for looks really good and this beautiful
15:03primary en suite oh my goodness oh look at that shower love the colors love the tones yeah the tile
15:11I mean you could tell just so much thought went into this well there is another primary bedroom
15:15that's upstairs why don't you guys go check that out I'm gonna run downstairs get lights turned on

15:25fixtures the woodwork the floors I loved it all it left your brain it went into mine yeah all the

16:50and another outdoor lounging space it's incredible yeah it really is it's like having three different
16:55homes because each level offers something unique and different so I think we're at that moment where

17:25all right let's make a decision all right well Brian has shown us three amazing homes you ready to go
17:31through everything yeah first house we looked at was the chic chalet price 2.8 million yeah I really
17:37like the house we've talked about expanding and add another structure if we want to and the lot was
17:42perfect for that I really like the stonework and those floors were so unique I didn't see that in
17:47any of the other houses we looked at and that shower it feels like you're showering outside and
17:53what guy doesn't want that poor girl or girl and then being out on that deck seeing that view that
17:58felt
17:58really special too downsides is it has a carport instead of a garage so that's another guy thing us
18:04guys like garages yeah it wasn't necessarily what I thought I wanted going into it but there was just
18:11something really special about it very unique but I'm still nervous it might be too rustic so the
18:17next house we looked at was the skyline retreat biggest that we've looked at and the listing price
18:22for that one is 3.5 million I liked that one yeah I mean there's not much to not like
18:27about that house
18:28the interior design of the house I mean it was absolutely stunning it was just so perfect and then
18:34the way that it's set up for entertaining I can just really see us having lots of family and friends
18:39there it had the garage definitely check that box views were spectacular my thing is that is it too
18:45perfect is it too much like what we already have in Atlanta I'm not sure it could be but it's
18:51it's a
18:51stunner yeah it is it is really beautiful we're here at the last house Sunset Ridge 2.65 million so
18:59it is the least expensive of those that we've looked at I mean this view is just unreal this is

19:04like one of those things you don't even want to look on the inside of the house you just want

19:08right here this view can't be beat I mean if you want a mountain view this is it but this

19:13doesn't have a garage on the inside of this house it was really really nice this house is rustic but
19:21it also has a very luxe feel and then having the multiple primary bedrooms that seemed like that was
19:27going to be really good for entertaining also you had a good call out earlier about the tub we're going
19:32to have children a tub would be nice to have that's true I don't want to necessarily say that those
19:37things would rule it out because I do love this maybe when we add the addition we add the tub
19:42then
19:42but remember an addition would be costly because of this steep slope so I think we have a decision
19:48that we've already pretty much made I think I know which one I want yeah I do too hey Brian

19:56like decisions have been made they have they have well what are we thinking well I got her off of
20:01winning all three for me it's the chic chalet wow that was my pick too really yeah wow congratulations

20:20sure it gave me that rustic element where I can walk around here and I know I'm in a mountain

20:25even though this wasn't the style I originally pictured I've become a big fan of the rustic feel
20:30all the stonework the woodwork and the floors it feels so luxe you didn't necessarily have to have
20:36the same modern feel that we had in Atlanta this is very luxurious in and of itself and so I
20:43love it
20:43I feel at home here and I think our growing family will really enjoy it as well and then we
20:50did
20:51actually just get married yesterday here in Blue Ridge and it was absolutely amazing and we got to
20:57enjoy the beautiful mountain weather being outside and everything it had to offer and so we've just
21:03fallen in love with Blue Ridge
