00:00We've discussed Ben Rice a lot on the show tonight, and he's a guy that I predicted going
00:06into the year that he would hit 40 home runs. And I look at what's going on with Ben Rice
00:14and
00:14the start that he's off to, and I look at the start that Aaron Judge is off to, and both
00:20of
00:20these guys, you saw it tonight, Rice hits his 10th home run, Judge comes up immediately after that
00:26and hits his 11th home run. And it got me thinking, because both guys right now are playing at
00:33an MVP level. Now they both can't win the MVP, but you have two teammates that are off to
00:39an incredible start in terms of hitting the ball over the fence, and they're Yankees.
00:46Where have we seen this before? What does this remind us of? And I think you could look back
00:53in history, Yankee history, and point to perhaps we could be seeing another summer
01:02like we saw in 1961 with Mantle and Maris. Now obviously, you're not chasing history. You
01:10know, you're not chasing Babe Ruth's record, but you had two teammates there that were both
01:15having incredible seasons, going tick for tat, home run for home run, Maris, Mantle, and now
01:22you have Judge and Rice. All these years later, you could have another situation with Yankee teammates
01:31that are both on their way to 40 home runs, 50 home runs, and beyond. That's the type of starts
01:41they're both off to. You know Aaron Judge is getting there, and Ben Rice has the ability,
01:45he has the talent, and if you bat him in front of Aaron Judge, he's going to have the protection
01:49in the lineup to have this type of incredible summer.
