00:04now when it comes to hair I have a bit of a monopoly no you and I have a monopoly
00:11on the
00:12head yes yes but I always feel a little bit embarrassed fuzz yeah or a little bit sort
00:16of like smug but I just wanted to show you this what do you reckon on that well do you
00:22know she
00:23lost a lot of weight yeah I saw a bean and I thought it was tot for a minute yeah
00:27exactly
00:27that's how young and sprightly she looks after a nice haircut yeah yeah I personally think that
00:33I do as well if only the only difference is when she has a haircut what she loses weight
00:40visually right you don't and we're off trawling Britain's sheds this is absolutely unbelievable
00:54for the most intriguing I have never ever seen one of these the most exciting oh now that is a
01:03naughty car the most surprising classic cars it is very you I love it we're gonna buy them fix them
01:12up
01:13go and sell them for a tidy profit nice little earner hey this is shed and buried classic cars
01:31we're back in the landy heading for Stroud in Gloucestershire and this time I'm the one
01:36complaining look I'm telling you I'm gonna get rid of this car it's not comfortable is it really this
01:43is a nice a nice ride no this is exciting all right this is lively it's a Land Rover mate
01:50we love
01:51them because they're awful right talking about who we see you're seeing Dave all right now Dave now you've
01:59talked about him yeah Dave has a lot of different stuff so he has a kind of broad selection of
02:07motorcars
02:07is he the guy who had a tile shop yes that's right yeah he also has a penchant for an
02:13enamel sign
02:15does he oh he does yeah and other accoutrement and trinkets whether we come back with a more
02:23comfortable car an enamel sign or two square meters of ceramic kitchen tiles who knows but
02:30Dave's place in Stroud here we come tell me why you got into Bentleys and rollers and basically
02:38luxury luxury transport yes yeah just a bit of a poser I suppose oh yeah I want to be that
02:45you see
02:45that's refreshing as well somebody says yeah I'm just want to pose about in them yeah fantastic that's
02:50what they're there for yeah tell me tell me how you got into it all then well back in 2004
02:56I bought
02:56the four first Bentley and I've always liked me cars so that was it and it just went on from
03:01there
03:01really didn't it but Dave there are other vehicles here yes yes yes yeah more more in our price range
03:07hopefully yes there is indeed do you have any other things like signs or petrol pumps or yeah we have
03:12some signs and petrol pumps inside so we'll have a look at those next and the important thing though
03:18is is everything for sale most things are for sale most okay if the price is right are they all
03:23right
03:23okay look Dave we'll have a rumage around yeah brilliant yeah and then we'll ask you to come and
03:28join us for something just you know you need any information about anything that's fine yeah and then at
03:32the end of it yeah hopefully we'll have a haggle make us some offers yeah fantastic definitely
03:36Dave thank you so very much all right well we're going to go over to the cheap seats over there
03:41don't you don't want it you don't want to have a look here uh no come on yeah all right
03:45yeah go on
03:45then go on let's just I do I will I will Dave let's just have a look I'll have a
03:49mooch about
03:49see you in a bit okay I don't think we're going to be haggling on anything in this shed but
03:56we've got
03:56a look he's got a 6.7 litre rolls-royce ghost I could see myself in one of these I
04:03bet you
04:03could yeah unfortunately yes I'm very sorry but that's not going to happen a Bentley convertible
04:11these the old what 0405 plate you can pick them up for not a lot of money they are very
04:16affordable
04:16but you need to buy one that has really been looked after nice though yes it is nice an older
04:23roller that would have made John Lennon proud out of all of them here I mean if I had to
04:28pick one
04:29that would be mine I think so I think so I would have it paisley wrapped though would you I'm
04:35a
04:35Beatles fan none of these are really affordable but at the back there is something that might be
04:40now this is a Jaguar 240 so it's the smallest engine out of the mark ii range
04:48it was inspector morse's favorite car but you don't need to be a detective to figure out why
04:54fast comfortable and enjoyable to drive as the ads proclaimed it offered grace space and pace
05:02these are the most affordable of all of the mark ii's because it's got the non-hide interior
05:08ambler they call it what vinyl yeah it kind of is yeah and they don't have the spotlights on the
05:14front
05:14they just have a couple of grills mimicking the spotlights okay and they've got the thin bumpers
05:20as well but look look dave is a man of quality and detail this is immaculate yeah i like it
05:26you
05:27know i like this it's a lovely car i wonder if that's for sale moving outside in search of those
05:33elusive cheap seats all right now things are getting interesting here aren't they yes this is
05:40our street down our alley our first target is a slightly less pristine roller a silver spur
05:49now this i think is a little bit more rock and roll it is a roller but it's of the
05:56age where the
05:57where the the the the prices are quite low you give me an idea now what's that now tell me
06:02that that
06:03color ain't that great what happens if we were to acquire this if it was the right price are you
06:09thinking of paint not rattle canning a rolls-royce yeah really you're gonna you're thinking of so we
06:17paint it matte black yeah yeah and then we get pete the sign writer in to put rock and roller
06:22down the
06:24side just a thought something tells me fuzz ain't quite convinced but next door he perks up oh come
06:33on let's have a look yeah yes it just gets better and better around every corner now here yeah is
06:40the
06:41big murk of the late 50s okay this is the add-on-hour in fact maybe even the mid 50s
06:46i think it's the add-on-hour
06:48or something now they used to do what add-on-hour not as in add-on-hour a bit like
06:54when they changed
06:55the clocks named after west germany's first prime minister conrad add-on-hour the mercedes add-on-hour
07:06range included both huge presidential limousines and sportier coupes these ordinarily are great big long
07:17limousines that are uh that are a big favorite of uh jumped up despots who like to push people
07:23around and uh and basically are not very nice to them are you having a go oh this is a
07:30short wheel
07:30based one this is for lovely people oh okay yeah good like you there we go how much is that
07:37enough
07:37smoke there yeah yeah it is that's really nice that austin right so this is an austin i think the
07:42official designation is an a60 right but it's uh an austin pickup this one's probably late 1960s
07:49it's had a little bit of work on it here and there but that's quite nice that's all right i
07:53love the
07:53interior yeah the the interior is good it's column change as well so you can you can fit your your
08:00two
08:00workmates in there as well as the driver yeah but the other thing is yeah look at the length of
08:06the bed
08:07in the back there yeah what's that big enough for a coffin i was thinking more motorcycle oh yeah for
08:15the likes of you that is an ideal sort of classic pickup all right it's a possibility isn't it come
08:21on that's a possibility yeah where do you want to go next you want to go inside let's just turn
08:25right
08:26show you see what happens let's do that inside dave's shop it's even more surprising hold on look
08:34just turn that way no no no this way this way that's like looking in a mirror isn't it
08:43look oh fuzz look at this oh yeah i'm there hey absolutely there beer no no not the beer check
08:51the
08:51helicopter oh yeah i'll tell you who would love that if it goes like this jelly bean very true
08:59look look look wow look at the cans i wasn't expecting this neither was i this is dave's
09:06tile shop yeah but it's absolutely adorned with everything dave mate i'm getting old i don't move
09:13as fast as i used to relax relax relax relax take it easy man you don't need to sit down
09:16or anything
09:16tell me how long it's taking you to collect all those two gallon cans it's probably over the past
09:2220 years is it yeah yeah wow they are fantastic though aren't they and the signs as well so do
09:30people come in here uh for tiles and are they taken aback by everything else you've got in here yeah
09:35some
09:36people come in just to look at the collections and bits and pieces and the cars and everywhere you look
09:41there is something to focus on here let's have a wander through here dave thanks so much thanks a
09:46lot mate fantastic that's right that's right roller on the ramp dave's next shed combines both cars and
09:55trinkets vintage petrol signs rop yeah russian yeah oil products mystery objet all i do know though
10:06is i've never ever seen one something to get you noticed oh that's great isn't it oh mate i love
10:15that just imagine that as your doorbell or your alarm call you might get a little bit bored of that
10:20yeah
10:22and several morris miners including a rare gown van these were used by dry cleaners and also uh
10:30alterations companies and tailors and that kind of stuff yeah tailors all that kind of stuff we could
10:36stay here forever but before we get overwhelmed we've got to take stock fine uh now roller
10:46which one white one the 1980s one yeah all right what else is there there is that austin pickup yeah
10:53that's nice that's lovely just because i think pickups like that are really easy to sell on
10:58i really want to buy all his petrol cans but obviously it's taken him 20 years to collect
11:01them so that's right i mean that is a display feature for his business i think we've got quite
11:05a few things if you yeah trinkets trinkets those yeah trinkets to the motor yeah go see yeah come
11:11on let's go and ask a few questions yeah let's inquire yeah
11:18hey look before we start on motors can i just ask you can i offer you on that sign
11:24you can indeed yes yeah what about 100 quid for that seems fair deal are those um parts washers
11:34or what are they do you know i'm not really sure um they're old yeah yeah see that how much
11:41for a pair
11:41for the pair 60 pound yeah a mechanical horn there is this has been mechanical claxon horn yeah yeah and
11:52how much do you want for that yeah make me an offer 40 quid yeah i think that's fair enough
11:5840 quid
11:59all right mate great okay we'll top that up later oh hang on 46 200 we're in yeah at the
12:04moment good
12:04figure isn't it okay now then let's talk about cars okay so the white jaguar 240 oh yeah yes is
12:11that
12:11available it's available that would be ten thousand pounds okay actually quite rightly it's in immaculate
12:17condition it's a lovely yeah it's a lovely thing can i ask about the uh the morris minor gown van
12:22the game that's a that's a lovely old thing yes it might be a bit a bit too much work
12:27for us but is
12:28that for sale i've got to ask about five grand for that okay okay let's talk about something that
12:33perhaps i'm not totally in love with but at the same time that white roller over there the white rolls
12:39right yeah silver spur tell me about that it's a good car it's a nice old car and it's got
12:46the rear
12:48end goes down a little bit right but when you start it up it comes back up again okay but
12:52in the back in
12:53the boot in the corners are like um tubs if you want which is part of the suspension they may
12:59want
13:00bleeding okay or readjusting okay so possibly right there well you pays your money it takes your chances
13:07don't you the the one rear door yeah card is off that's right i noticed because the electric window
13:13doesn't work okay and i'm fiddling about with that and i've got a new piece for it or a second
13:17hand
13:17yes to go in there and the wood for in the front on the dash is all here i've just
13:21taken them off and
13:22re-varnished them ready to go back on fabulous so that's all yeah all right so there's stuff to do
13:27yeah yeah how much is that bargain price of five thousand pounds would you take four for the roller the
13:34white roller four and a half we're in stroud with dave and his amazing collection
13:55oh that's great isn't it we've already bought a trove of trinkets
14:00and now we're bidding on a rolls-royce silver spur would you take four for the roller the white
14:07roller four and a half i think that's uh i think that's fair you've met in the middle at that
14:14point
14:14yeah so that means in total if we do that i owe you 4700 that's about right henry yeah come
14:21on
14:21then mate we're down there all right we'll have a laugh with that roller
14:27back at base next day it's time to contemplate what we've done or should i say admit
14:35i think we did really well in that shed it was brilliant yeah it was really great some great
14:39stuff there's some great stuff can i just say fuzzer yes you're gonna get a surprise as well
14:44there is something out there that we did talk about yeah and you thought that we weren't going to buy
14:51i couldn't resist it so i went back and got it i'm intrigued yes you might go on come on
14:56come on
14:56go on oh here we look at that that's a bit proper isn't it that's fantastic i love these it's
15:02majestic
15:03i absolutely love these it's so long how long can you get yeah well it's very white as well isn't
15:08it
15:08it is very white it is like a beached whale well look i think we'll put the door card in
15:13yeah we'll get
15:14it running nice yeah make sure it's all cool take it for a test drive and then we'll contemplate any
15:18adornment and talking of adornments our sign needs a quick rub down and then i've got a plan
15:25you seem to have gone large this time that's huge the car's huge yes it is as it was cheap
15:31we'll wash it but i think i want to put it on that wall yeah i think it nice with
15:36blue yeah if
15:37you don't mind us losing well we're not losing we're just investing but it's just up on the wall
15:42yeah i think it's good i think that will look brilliant okay great all right so that's russian
15:47oil products the rock yeah as we all know yeah uh cheap russian fuel right they were trying to get
15:53in back in the day into the uk market with cheap russian fuel no change there then hey
16:00right helicoptering oh no i couldn't resist it at 150 quid a snip what do you reckon gosh who says
16:08henry's no fun one thing that's good about that though it's attached to the ground permanently yes
16:12and you can fly that one i can fly that one the trouble is though there's always you can't fly
16:18that one what do you mean you are not going to get in there says who we're in out comes
16:24a 50 pence
16:25piece that's a 50p here we go watch yourself i'll be amazed if this works and in goes the pilot
16:32you're in just a little bit more ah careful kid seriously no no i'm stuck now and i'm in trouble
16:39right really is there an emergency stop no i don't know how you stop it as for the other items
16:46stand by because this is loud the klaxon's good as it is and our mystery oil dispensers stroke parts
16:55washers just need a clean up look this does they do move so maybe we can take them apart clean
17:02them up internally and maybe who knows we could get them working you know what we need we need a
17:06parts washer good point well delivered a bigger one bigger one okay so look we've got our work cut
17:14out with these right but i think we've got quite a good haul what do you reckon no i think
17:19it's great
17:19yeah especially the car i love the car yeah right well should we start with the car if you're driving
17:25that yes you are going to look so dodgy i know well that's what excites me that's what excites me
17:33rolls-royce status isn't it they say the car picks the person oh i love it i want to look
17:40wide
17:41and on that note time to get rolling the silver spur was one of rolls-royce's most successful models
17:49staying in production for 20 years it was fitted with self-leveling suspension but as dave warned
17:56us the pneumatic spheres that control it may be worn out smoking it this will sort it out don't you
18:10worry oh dear look if we're lucky a quick trip around the paddock will loosen things up
18:18do you know it's quite smooth isn't it it is yeah i think the suspension's not too bad
18:23yeah fine but even if it doesn't our test ride's a lot of fun remarkably comfortable
18:28it is isn't it watch out bean panicking okay i think we've done enough okay we've ripped the field apart
18:45as for whether our field test has loosened up the suspension the jury's out
18:52right right what do you think bean out you go i think i might have i thought it was all
19:00right
19:01it's done me field a bit no bean did you enjoy that look at that what a mess i know
19:07don't don't tell
19:08my darling wife just as well you can't see it from up above okay so look is it fixed now
19:13or not
19:15it's moving but you'll be all right you'll ride up with wear so it might do it might do i
19:20still think
19:21yes that the spheres may have uh become defective yeah yeah okay well can we check them out a perished
19:26membrane why don't we go back and check them out tomorrow once we've yeah we need to jack it up
19:32and also get the pressure out of the suspension system 3000 psi yeah yeah there's a lot of pressure
19:38in there that's a lot of work sorry man i've done my bit work through your hand oh here we
19:43go
19:45next day while we're waiting for a specialist suspension engineer fuzz and skid work on the rear
19:51door can i just say fuzz yeah i have never been behind the wheel of a rolls royce before okay
19:57how
19:57does it i've been in the passenger seat but never behind the wheel no one's ever let me loose in
20:01one
20:01of these how does it feel regal do you want to start it up skid give it a go yeah
20:06it's in park yeah
20:08you'll make a good chauffeur yet you can drive me around anywhere oh the good news is that the
20:14electric windows all seem to work okay down is down okay and up is up the less good news is
20:21that
20:21reassembling the rear door is a mensa class challenge how many years old is this car this car
20:27is i think it's a 1984 or 1985 so i think it's just very uh january 1985 so it's currently
20:3741 years
20:38old as we do this right yeah right let's get this in i reckon this is in first i think
20:46no that's a
20:46captive nut behind it does go this side yeah yeah it does yeah yeah like all rolls royces there's no
20:52expense spared when it comes to the finishing the door trim is burled walnut and the door buttons are
20:59chrome plated i bet that elastic band when it goes is 50 quid
21:05the tanned leather door card is made up of two interlocking panels
21:11this goes up and up and under oh there's your up and under it's got to go forward there we
21:15go
21:16right oh wait a minute hold on and even the padded armrest is a two-part assembly with its own
21:25internal
21:26light right so there we are all there remains to do is double check everything still works
21:34i'm your chauffeur for the day so sir if you would like to step into your
21:38carriage right thank you willison give it a go right you do your window see if your switch works
21:47well that works brilliant that's cool there we go that is all working fuzz and the card is on
21:53yeah okay and just try operating your door lock yes and up yes that's a healthy clunk excellent that is
22:03healthy clunk so that means that everything i think that's in there is working perfect
22:10so a good start but there's plenty to do getting all our trinkets up to rolls royce standard as for
22:17the suspension our perusal of my paddock may have been a bit of fun but getting the roller fit for
22:22a
22:22proper road trip is going to require a lot more work we had a good first day yesterday living at
22:44large
22:44in our rolls royce silver spur next up we need to sort out the suspension system but first on today's
22:53list trinket cleaning
22:59i've got my boiler suit on it doesn't necessarily mean i'll be doing any work no but at the same
23:05time
23:05i have brought a bucket of love and understanding there it goes uh so we've got to clean that we've
23:14got to clean that and we've got to clean them okay the oil dispensers are going to need the most
23:21work
23:22so in time-honored fashion we'll put them off as long as possible fuzz tackles the helicopter and me and
23:30skid work on the rop sign first with soap and water and then with household cleaner that's not doing a
23:37lot is it it is removing sun good oh yeah it is yeah it's making it whiter in the 1930s
23:45rop russian
23:47oil products had almost 10 of the british market today the brand's long forgotten but signs and ephemera
23:54like this go for a packet it's going to look great on the wall this isn't it oh i thought
24:01it was going
24:02to be sold i don't know i want it on a wall here oh okay it was only 100 quid
24:07i think it's a very good
24:09price you know are you having fun there fuzz uh yeah i feel more comfortable with this rather than the
24:15large ones there's no perspex to break on this one i can do i can do far less damage
24:21it's impossible to value attractions like our helicopter but after a wash and blow dry the price
24:27will soar right stand clear
24:32do you mind i'm just trying to dry this off yeah i'm done
24:39oh no you're not after his sterling work on the rop sign skid moves on to the oil dispenser
24:46that's coming up lovely skid shlovely i think that's enough don't you because i keep going
24:50you reckon yeah just a little bit of oil makes a huge impact on old metal like this
24:56it's like one of the name plates on a steam engine it looks beautiful man
25:01god that's great look at it all been hidden away for years
25:06that's added a tenner hasn't it just what do you reckon fuzz
25:10and now you're talking yeah that's coming up brilliantly oh they're lovely yeah cripes that's
25:16really added value i think if we got these trays out and really gave them a good clean out yeah
25:22maybe well maybe we could coax them back into action i'm going to run off with one of these and
25:27see
25:27all right on the mop what it does yeah yeah we just need to i think we need to use
25:32some engine
25:32degrease and jet wash the tops yeah okay yeah i think to get all the gunge off yeah yeah
25:38while skid polishes the pump handles fuzz delves into the filthy depths of the oil reservoir
25:44not nice guy can clean that out yeah i'm feeling unusual i think i might have to go to bed
25:53i've got a good idea yeah walk away from here
25:57yeah and guy can come back yeah and pick up from where we left off perfect
26:08the day finishes with fuzz refitting the bulbs to the helicopter ride what a lovely day we've had
26:15boys that's true yeah should i put uh yeah go on just to finish it off for the evening okay
26:20yeah
26:21you're ready you're ready yeah i'm ready that's excellent news that's good oh there we go
26:31it's louder it's louder oh yeah i turned up the volume it's loud oh yeah this is fat
26:39what's he saying i don't know you have to be a kid to understand
26:46ready for take off
26:55next day jamie's here to fix the roller's suspension
27:00what what what the heck is that that is uh basically it's a citron hydraulic sphere
27:05it's filled with nitrogen it's got a bladder in it it's basically giving you the bounce this is full
27:10of air and that's what the car's floating on the expectation the spheres have blown on this one so
27:15the diaphragm's popped okay there's no air in there there's no bounce right it's rock solid these will go
27:21on it'll float lovely you'll be floating on air is it nitrogen gas because that doesn't change with
27:26temperature the pressure is that what it is yeah look at that it's not just a pretty face they use
27:32it in racing it's not even that mate i'll tell you look at it they use it in racing car
27:35tires because
27:36when the tires get different temperatures right the pressure doesn't change oh so that's pretty
27:43that's probably why i thought they might use it in that same kind of thing oh right yeah you should
27:47have known that yeah fail get me go well best of luck oh you're not helping what you're not helping
27:52i can't hear you what he is helping he's going yeah actually it's funny i just lose my hearing
27:58sometimes yeah there he goes right so jamie what's the process i have done a little bit of research
28:04and i've jacked it up and just relaxed the suspension relaxed yeah pressure out of the system
28:10otherwise we'll have green stuff everywhere a lot of fluid we'll get a lot of fluid so deep
28:14pressurizer system yes and it's just a matter of unscrewing the original ones and then swapping
28:18them over for these first things first fuzz goes under the car to drain off some hydraulic fluid
28:26how's that yeah here's a receptacle okay thank you very much the danger is that when fuzz opens the
28:34valve pressurized fluid could come splurting out but fortunately it's not so dramatic we have
28:42fluid dripping out which is good once the pressure's been released fuzz moves on to the pneumatic spheres
28:49are they hand tight or are they super tight they go on hand tight but that's probably been there for
28:53a
28:54very long time so we'll need a special tool with the aid of a dedicated strap wrench fuzz loosens off
29:01the old sphere i'm cracking is this going to spray all over me now yeah it shouldn't but it might
29:07and saying a prayer to eligius the patron saint of mechanics removes it gingerly there we go so
29:15i can see lots of fluid there so the diaphragm's gone the sphere's full of hydraulic fluid okay we've
29:20got rock hard suspension jamie steps up to fit the new sphere the space is so small that everything has
29:27to be done by feel uh has the seal come off this is come i can see that but after
29:33a little fun and games
29:34with an errant seal it's in hey there we are right so that's one completed that's on hand tight that's
29:42what it has to do right okay so same again the second sphere is a little more awkward because the
29:49space is even tighter but 10 minutes later both have been replaced and we're still alive to tell the
29:56tail in theory do up the bleeds underneath yeah this will bounce job done fuzz goes back underneath
30:03to tighten the bleed nipples tops up the hydraulic fluid and then tests it out shall we just have a
30:10little bounce at the back yeah it bounces or it floats floats on air on nitrogen actually
30:20there well because i tried to release it um just drifting it it didn't work no no well look that's
30:27job done this is fantastic news i mean it's only taken three hours well yeah but i mean it's worth
30:32it i think that's an absolute result because if that hadn't worked yeah we were in a world of trouble
30:37from what i hear yeah no exactly no no that is fantastic that's jamie thank you so much thank you
30:42jamie fuzzer thank you so much this is marvelous and i didn't do a lot no neither did i uh
30:48but you
30:49know no change there then all that remains is to finish the oil dispensers it's a dirty job but
30:56someone's got to do it eeny meeny miny skid everyone's abandoned me and can i just say this is the
31:05most
31:06hideous job i now know why everyone's disappeared this one inside isn't too bad i've given it a little
31:13bit of a scrape and a rummage in there this one is absolutely hideous so i'm just going to jet
31:21wash them
31:22out now in the past we've argued about what you should and shouldn't use a jet wash for but apart
31:31from a visit to the skip this really is the ideal restoration tool for this job these are purely
31:37decorative items once the chicken tikka has all been banished skid begins the much more pleasant
31:47task of reassembling we still don't know exactly what they were used for do we i think they might
31:54be kind of paraffin or something like that yeah when i was a kid in the in the early 1970s
31:59when the
32:00strikes early 19th century no no no i'm not as old as you but in the early 1970s when all
32:06the strikes
32:06were on we were using old paraffin lamps you know with a wick and stuff like that so perhaps that's
32:12exactly what this is have one of these down in your in your shed or in your coal shed and
32:18you just uh you
32:19just fill your paraffin lamp with it putting the oil dispensers back together is not quite as complex as
32:26the rolls royce's door card but five minutes later it's all done and don't they look good
32:32i do like these things fuzz i think they're rather charming yeah i know what you mean it's
32:36it's like i've never seen them before no and yeah here we are with two you know i'm just going
32:43to
32:43put my plunger down let's just give that a little polish and uh check my plug works yeah and then
32:50down it goes flip over the the catch and there it is they look like an absolute picture though they
32:59do yeah and then when you open it up now it's all nice and bleak i mean look at that
33:03yeah what's not
33:04to like about that that's a thing of beauty isn't it and that's going to look great in workshops
33:10so we've sorted the trinkets the signage and the novelty ride do you mind tomorrow we'll take the
33:17roller on a regal road trip but will we float on air or will the spirit of ecstasy turn out
33:23to be agony
33:35a month ago behind a tile shop in stroud all right now things are getting interesting here
33:41we found a rolls-royce silver spur now this is a little bit more rock and roll we fixed it
33:48up it
33:48bounces or it floats on air fitted it out it's got to go forward there we go yes and now
33:57after a quick
33:58wash and scrub up we're ready to take it on an outing
34:10now i'm feeling the part you know mate i think you look the part as well yeah you like my
34:16uh
34:17scrap metal merchants gear it looks great i'd like the bracelet as well the pendant and oh and
34:23the fat gold chain yeah that's okay lost a bit of weight it's not that fat no no but at
34:29the same
34:29time us in the roller going somewhere posh it's going to be great i can't wait to see what these
34:35two are wearing i know morning what's all this then you're looking very dapper weren't you listening to
34:43him last week when he he said we're going out in the roller look smart here we go yeah now
34:48look can i
34:48just tell you where we're going we are going to see henry henry just happens to own a small
34:58how do we describe it i know castle oh great that sounds good i like castles yeah you're more likely
35:05to get thrown out than us no no not at all i'll tell you what alan looks like a fig
35:12well look shall we uh i suppose you'll have to get in the back won't you
35:15gents in the back my boys in the front yeah yeah all right and off we roll
35:29oh those are long don't i feel it wanting to go yeah i like it as well
35:38your average rolls-royce is fitted with acres of soundproofing
35:41and now the suspension has been fixed we're getting the full luxury experience
35:50isn't it a lovely ride now it was very choppy before wasn't it very smooth in the back yeah
35:56mate i i i completely agree your friend uh what was his name jamie your friend jamie sorted us out
36:04large yeah that's great so i'm really pleased that it was the simple job the spheres actually i
36:10haven't actually had the bill yet the spheres weren't very much but the yeah he's he's quite expensive
36:17well do you know sage advice yes is worth the price
36:25how far is it to the castle not far about 40 miles it's not far enough oh that's not far
36:32enough i thought
36:33we've got a really long road trip all right well look well by the time we've come back it's 80
36:39top speed is about 120 but cruising along at 50 it's like a feather bed for the passengers at least
36:51one sweet dream later we arrive at our fantasy castle
37:11sootheley castle near cheltenham is the family home of the dent brocklehurst and my super posh mate hen
37:18who i've arranged to meet after i showed the team around now i don't want you to get carried away
37:25because we're not stopping for cake hold on no no nice cakes we're gonna have tea with henry see them
37:36it's famous for its historic gardens and the picturesque ruins of the original castle
37:42that was almost destroyed during the civil war please face your eyes man look at it isn't it just
37:51the most beautiful thing it is but uh it's right for a resto yeah look obviously there's a few walls
37:58missing but build it all back up just think we know somebody who's got a bit of flooring material
38:05tiles that's a roofing i think it needs a bit more than flooring
38:08material and this behind us is what happens if you let people like us in yes no that is true
38:14it
38:14was good until later until the roundheads turned us right come on then
38:22sudley's most famous resident was catherine parr the only one of henry the eighth's wives to outlive him
38:31she lay here undiscovered for quite some time really yeah have you just read the bit of paper
38:37you have haven't you go on i'm interested so yes she lay here until i think the 18th century when
38:42some visitors to the chapel yeah noticed uh noticed a plaster or alabaster panel and persuaded the local
38:51farmer to sort of dig underneath and they they found a lead coffin that was inscribed with uh with
38:57her her name and her details thank god you're here allegedly they opened it up and when they opened it
39:02up they found that not just bones or anything like that but there she was her corpse perfectly preserved
39:11scary also the other thing just generally if you look at really old stained glass windows
39:17they've lost the knack of how to stain them these colors so modern ones are not as rich hang on
39:23a
39:23second i feel an affinity with this glass yeah spqr where yeah yeah there is small profit quick return
39:32i love it
39:37and talking of small profit quick return i just wonder if the lord of the manor or his son
39:44might be interested in relieving himself of some of his fortune time to meet henry and mark
39:51and he's like welcome to our humble abode mate here's a cuppa oh lovely wonderful am i right in
39:58saying that cromwell came here and blew it up he did and he actually left a trademark look look behind
40:04you that's um it's saved on the maintenance of the place and that was and the heating and the heating
40:10that was the original ballroom and that was the palace and actually what we're standing in
40:15here is the cavalry courses I mean you don't have many visitors do you because
40:20there's no one here actually we've got loads of people here but this is private
40:24this is the private you're in a sanctum it said private I just drove in is this
40:32where we get shown the door no no no dress for the occasion we're best for
40:37the occasion and not only that you've come in a nice white roller so I was
40:42just thinking it could be yours actually mark if you're interested right I am
40:45okay I think I think you both look right don't you think they look good in it I
40:50think so yeah all right but you're a bit of a petrol head anyway I am I love a
40:54good motor I'll tell you what was amazing about the Rolls-Royce it's the only
40:57British car I've been in that I feel luxurious in firstly and secondly I look
41:02in my rear view mirror and he's not talking he's asleep I thought I was
41:08just nodding I didn't realize I was combative and you were snuffling like my
41:14little dog now hen in your tea room I've got this lovely little visitor
41:20attraction it's a little helicopter that you put 50p in right and it goes
41:25backwards and forwards like the kids would love it okay to you mate 250 quid
41:29it's not absolute bargain I'd make it back in a week 250 quid yeah that's it I'm sold
41:39brilliant I'm sold yeah great great great it's 50p a go yeah it's 50p a go yeah you're just gonna
41:44rake it in it's old school yes love that it goes like this yes yeah and uh but only now
41:51you've bought
41:52it only children about that high can get in yeah and it needs a bulb in the top light oh
41:56we can sort
41:56that out we might we can put it in the museum as a bit of a retro good idea retro
42:01museum this is
42:03great we've now done a deal this is lovely and he might buy the roller happy days just in case
42:12he
42:12changes his mind next day we get our resident dealer lord roy of classic karsha to come over
42:19and have a look at the roller it's very tidy isn't it yeah it's lovely in there
42:26that's cured my constipation what do you think it's all right yeah there's only one way one way this is
42:34going it's going to be a wedding car isn't it well it could be cut price wedding do you do
42:39weddings
42:40because it could be roy's rolls roy i've got to tell you mate roy's roll i think wouldn't roy look
42:45good smoking around in it he would i think it'd really suit him it would be brilliant so what do
42:51you reckon it's worth oh minimum seven seven and a half happily come on that's very good are they
42:58seriously worth that much yeah i think it's gonna earn that in six months isn't it how much is that
43:03two grand more than two grand profit well if you say this costs four and a half then that is
43:09well
43:09seven and a half there's three grand profit there mate potentially plus there's a hundred
43:13quid profit on the heli yeah plus we haven't sold the rop the two oil dispensers yeah and the
43:20klaxon i think that was a a very good day's buying no this is what they call in the trade
43:26mate
43:26the ultimate nice little you could even i would be happy for a change if you kept the big sign
43:33for
43:33yourself for a change as a reward yeah why not we've got enough profit for you to take a tickle
43:39out of
43:39that guy i think i'm falling in love with you
43:50you
43:53you
