48:18Well, it's hard to say until Public Works finishes its safety inspection, which they can't start until the city planning
48:25department starts their inspection.
48:26Ms. Yang, all we are asking for is a damn park.
48:31That shouldn't be that hard.
48:33We're not asking you to build a Taj Mahal.
48:35Ms. Cleveland, building anything in this city involves a lot of red tape.
48:39I realize it's frustrating.
48:43But can I be honest?
48:46There are a lot of people here who don't want to build anything on that lot.
48:51They just as soon forget what happened.
48:53Ms. Not everybody can forget.
48:56Y'all demolished the building, but that don't erase what happened.
49:00It only erases the victims.
49:03And all we are asking is that y'all put something on that site that honors their memory.
49:09It's the right thing to do.
49:11It's the decent thing to do.
49:14So will you please discuss this with your supervisor or whomever can do something?

49:21And I will do everything in my power to help expedite that process.
49:25But from my experience, these things take time and I'm afraid that you and the families are probably going to
49:30have to wait a little longer.
49:35Well, that's all right, Ms. Yang, because I'm used to waiting.
49:41I am determined to see this through for the victims, for the families.
49:48I ain't going to let Jeff Dahmer and his evil be the only thing folks remember.
