With high-powered side-by-sides coming from almost every manufacturer, it's hard to tell the difference between them. Lucky for us (and you), we currently have the three most powerful rigs in the world sitting in our shop. We can't pit them against each other just yet, but we CAN show you what makes each special! So if you're wanting to buy a Polaris Pro R, Can-Am Maverick R, or Kawasaki H2 but want to know a bit more about each one, you're in the right place.

00:00Andres, dude, there's like a lot of rigs in this shop.
00:03What the is going on here?
00:05Yeah, you know what?
00:06We are blessed.
00:07We are rich with sexy sport rigs here.
00:11Welcome to the shop, the palatial UTV driver headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee.
00:16This is the first one we just got in here.
00:17We got a 2026 Polaris Pro R Ultimate.
00:21It's got the new screen, right?
00:23It does, yeah.
00:24That big, giant, now what is it, 10.25 or is it 10.4?
00:28I think it's 10.25, but that's it compared to my hand, and it is massive.
00:34You can get so much reading done on this.
00:36Yeah, I read it.
00:36Oh, and it's cool.
00:37It's vertical, too, which is a real step up, I think.
00:39Normally, we have like horizontal TFTs and so forth like that.
00:43This makes me so happy and yet so sad.
00:46There is a stop ride, stop operating, stop everything with the Kaui H2, the Terex 5.
00:52So we are patiently waiting.
00:53Luckily, we got some time with it back when we first got it.
00:56Was it January?
00:57It was like mid-January.
00:59It was like two weeks before they sent the stop ride notice.
01:02We got a good comparison with this thing, the Maverick R XRS.
01:06Is that right?
01:07Does it have smart shocks?
01:08Can-Am, Maverick R, Max, X, R, S.
01:13I did it!
01:13All right, there it is.
01:14There it is.
01:14This is actually the one we've had in the shop the longest.
01:17And yeah, we did a head-to-head with the H2 and the XRS, the Mav-R.
01:21There was a winner.
01:22But, you know, everyone's a winner for playing.
01:24They were very fun.
01:25Yeah, if you want to find out the winner of that video, go watch the video.
01:28No, I'm just kidding.
01:29The H2 actually won.
01:30We did like the H2 a little bit more.
01:31I'm going to spoil it for you.
01:33But go watch that video because it's still a good video.
01:35Anyway, what we're actually here for, since we can't take this thing out on the trail
01:39and do a direct comparison with the Pro-R and the Mav-R just yet, we can't do that until
01:44the stop ride on this stops, until Kawasaki tells us we're all clear.
01:48We're going to give you a quick everything you need to know about these rigs and how they
01:53differ and what the suspension travel is on this one versus this one and which one comes
01:58out on top, including all the new features on the 2026 Pro-R, because there are plenty
02:04of new features on there, right?
02:07There are, yeah.
02:08We have the screen.
02:09We have new tires.
02:10We have new styling.
02:11So we're going to take a look at this thing and see what makes it special.
02:14A lot of times we get four-seaters.
02:16And that's great because four-seaters are a category that's growing, family fun, and
02:21like whatever.
02:21But it's nice to get something, a traditional like two-seat buggy in.
02:25So we are very excited to take this thing and rip it around.
02:28Oh, yeah, yeah.
02:29The four-seaters, I like them because they're easier to throw the back end out because there's
02:33so much weight and there's so much like of a pivot where you can do that.
02:37But these, oh my God, the two-seaters, it feels like they are glued to the trail, you
02:41know?
02:41Plus, I mean, it's a two-seater.
02:43This is a date rig.
02:44That's a family rig.
02:45Yeah, exactly.
02:46Date rig, date night.
02:47That's kind of fun.
02:48Date night on the trails.
02:48Yeah, when you don't want the kids, take the Pro-R.
02:50It's kind of romantic, actually.
02:52Look at this, India red.
02:53I think that's the color anyway.
02:54Yeah, this thing just looks...
02:55Yeah, this is for people who already have kids.
02:58This is for people who want kids because it's so sexy, you know?
03:00Oh, yeah.
03:01You know what?
03:01I think actually a date night in this thing might lead to kids.
03:04So you never know.
03:05Exactly.
03:05Well, we're going to get started going down the spec sheets of these things.
03:08So why don't we start with the Colt Classic, the Pro-R?
03:11So there's not a ton of updates.
03:13It's kind of like practically perfect the way it is, but it sticks with 32s.
03:17But now we have the Tracker 2.0 Pro-Armor tires.
03:23So there is a little change up in tire brand.
03:25The suspension stays the same.
03:26I think we got the...
03:27I know you didn't...
03:28Well, you drove last year's Pro-R, didn't you?
03:30I did, yes.
03:31You drove in 2025.
03:31Yes.
03:31You spent a little bit of time in the 2025, but we didn't get to spend like, you know,
03:35a whole day in it or whatever.
03:37When the Pro-R first debuted in 2022, I got to do the 24 Hours of Windrock with it.
03:42At the time, it still had the same tires that was on the 2025 model.
03:45Obviously, this is a 2026 with the Pro-Armor Trekkers, but it did have Max's Rampage Furies.
03:51And I got to be honest, I did not like those tires.
03:54No?
03:54In our first outing with it, we busted a hole in one and then, you know, punctured another one.
04:00And I just didn't really like them.
04:01They didn't have that much grip.
04:02So I'm so excited to test these out and see, like, what the actual difference is.
04:07Now, these look like a lot more dirt road focused instead of the Max's Rampage Furies that looked,
04:13you know, they're a little bit more aggro than these.
04:15I feel like these are made for going a little bit faster.
04:17Kind of like the Mavar tires, the ITP Tenacities.
04:20Yeah, I feel like it's more made for dirt versus something like this, which has these
04:26really, really gnarly nubbies.
04:28Yeah, it's not really a technical term.
04:30If I was a tire engineer and I was making stuff up, it would be the gnarly factor.
04:34Yeah, exactly.
04:34Yeah, these are slightly less gnarly.
04:36Let's go to the back.
04:37This is the thing.
04:39Everybody knows.
04:40You know what engine is in this.
04:41It made all the news in 2022.
04:42It is the 2-liter inline-4.
04:46Now, that thing is supercharged.
04:48That thing is turbocharged.
04:49This is naturally aspirated.
04:51It doesn't have anything.
04:53And we kind of like that.
04:55Well, at least versus the Mavar, it has advantages because you get a smoother throttle response
05:02instead of a turbo lag kicking in.
05:04You know, the turbo is great.
05:05And in our review, our head-to-head shootout, I think we both liked the turbo.
05:10But there is a lag.
05:10And even with the anti-lag system, it's going to be there.
05:13If you're a seasoned rider, you know that and you can sort of work around it.
05:16It's sort of one thing that sort of makes it fun.
05:18But for those who just like to sort of stomp the throttle and go, sometimes we like the supercharger.
05:24But naturally aspirated is sort of the way to go.
05:27Yeah, and most people's cars are naturally aspirated.
05:30Like, you know, I know there's plenty of people out there who's like, I got a turbo on mine or
05:34I got a supercharger on mine.
05:35But this feels like most, like, what, 95% of cars and vehicles is what you're going to get out
05:41of this.
05:42Like, the same throttle response, it's going to feel familiar.
05:44It's going to feel like a car you've, you know, the same car you've been driving since you were 15.
05:49This is familiar territory where the Mavar takes a little bit more time to master.
05:55It's like muscle car rules, man.
05:57Like, there's no replacement for displacement.
06:00Exactly.
06:00Nothing cute, nothing funny.
06:02And this has at least double what both of these have.
06:05This is actually more engine than both of those combined.
06:08That's 999.
06:09That's 999.
06:10Together, that makes what?
06:11That makes 1,998 cc.
06:16I'm not a math guy, though.
06:17Exactly.
06:17This is 1,999 cc.
06:21That's one cc more.
06:22You might feel that out on the trails.
06:24Exactly.
06:24But almost certainly not.
06:25Maybe.
06:26Now, probably not because it does have less horsepower than both of these.
06:30This is at 225.
06:32This is at 225.
06:33And that, the Mavar, is at 240.
06:37And then at the top, obviously, the H2, which that'll have 250 horsepower.
06:43Yeah, 250.
06:44It also has different modes.
06:45So you can get, I think it's 80% of that 250 and then 60% of that 250 if
06:50the 250 is a little
06:51much for you or, you know, you have an inexperienced rider behind the wheel and you don't want them
06:56to get into any trouble or anything they're not supposed to with that 250 horsepower.
07:00But while we're back here, something is sticking out to me, and it's these giant Fox shocks.
07:06Tell us a little bit about those.
07:07These are the Fox live valve shocks, and these are active.
07:12And there's a number, I want to say 600.
07:14I could be wrong.
07:15It could be 200.
07:16It's one of the two.
07:17So it samples the terrain 600 times.
07:19Are you talking about Fox live valve?
07:20Yeah.
07:21That's 1,000 times per second, buddy.
07:22It's 1,000 times per second.
07:24That's even better.
07:25Even better.
07:26That's like 66% better than.
07:28So it's worth noting that all three of these rigs have Fox live valve.
07:31If you live under a rock and don't know what that is, but there's little sensors up there
07:35that are constantly sampling the terrain and what these tires are doing, and it samples
07:39that terrain at over 1,000 times per second.
07:42And it can adjust the suspension on the fly, which means you don't have to be constantly
07:47fiddling with your suspension.
07:48You can pretty much just set it in a specific mode and let it handle the rest.
07:53Yeah.
07:53Basically, you just pointed at danger, and a computer goes beep, boop, boop, beep, boop, boop,
07:57boop, boop, and basically just sort of knows what you're going over.
08:00So yeah.
08:00And this seems like where a lot of these sort of like top tier sport rigs are kind of going,
08:04with active suspension.
08:06And it makes sense.
08:07It's like one more way that tech is, I think, catching up in the category, honestly, is sort
08:12of becoming almost car-like.
08:14I mean, all of these have active suspension in it.
08:16The Honda Talon just got live valve, which is nice.
08:19I feel like the industry is moving that way a little bit, and we're going to start seeing
08:23it a lot more.
08:24And it's kind of standard at this point, where it's like, if you've ever driven something
08:28with live valve, you can't really get enough of it.
08:30Whenever you drive something that doesn't have it, you immediately notice that lack of response.
08:34One thing that this thing doesn't have, and not to be all negative and whatever, but
08:38we just covered the Pro-R Ultra that came out that has an active sway bar.
08:44Oh, yeah.
08:44And that is really, really exciting stuff.
08:47Now, we don't have this with the Pro-R Ultimate, unfortunately.
09:03We don't.
09:04If you are disconnected, it disconnects the sway bar, which is incredible.
09:08Now, last time we talked about it, and we have a video on this about RTI-ing the H2 and
09:15what it means having a sway bar versus no sway bar.
09:17And all the comments online, or that we got on our YouTube video, we were like, oh, the
09:22rock crawler guys have known this for decades or whatever.
09:25And that's not what we're saying.
09:26We know that disconnecting the sway bar is good, and it's good for the rocks.
09:30We're just saying that this helps you by not having to get out of your rig every five
09:34minutes to attach or detach the sway bar.
09:37Yeah, all the crawler guys, like, this is old hat for them.
09:40But for those who are, like, learning about it, who are maybe new to the category, it's
09:44exciting news.
09:44It's actually, I think, arguably as exciting and as relevant as any of the, like, the live
09:50valve and active suspension stuff that's been happening for the next couple of years.
09:53Anyway, Polaris beat everyone else to it, and it's exciting news.
09:56If you're one of the 500 people in America lucky enough to get a Pro-R Ultra, we invite
10:00you to Knoxville to stop by the shop and take us for a ride.
10:04So if you're out there...
10:05Yeah, exactly.
10:06We are maybe 30 minutes to an hour from Winter Rock.
10:09We will meet you there.
10:10We will take any of these rigs, as long as the stop ride is done with the H2.
10:15We will have a fun day with you at Winter Rock.
10:17We'll give you a t-shirt and a sticker while we're at it, you know?
10:19Yeah, there'll be stickers and everything.
10:20Anyway, get into our DMs if you are one of those 500 successful lucky people.
10:26Anyway, let's look at the styling a little bit, because I've had this complaint for a
10:31while about Polaris, where, you know, two to five years ago, all of their styling was
10:37remarkably good.
10:39You know, we had a General in a while ago, and it had these cool, like, details on the
10:43side.
10:44It had, like, a topographic map on it and everything.
10:46Really, really cool details.
10:47And the last General we got in, it was just solid blue, and that was it.
10:52Now, I get it, because the Pro-R is their top model, but that's not really the case with
10:57the Pro-R.
10:58This is one of the nicest-looking side-by-sides I've seen in years.
11:02I love the color-match wheels, color-match suspension.
11:05I love the beadlocks on here.
11:08These kind of woven wheels are so cool compared to, like, what Can-Am's running, the spokes
11:15on these.
11:15And I like these, too, because they're, like, looks like they're going fast, you know?
11:19It looks like a turban.
11:20These remind me of, like, the old school, like, oh, back in the olden-timey days, because
11:24I'm old.
11:25It was always like, oh, man, get some BBS wheels.
11:27Oh, yeah.
11:28Like, old three-piece BBS wheels.
11:29Yeah.
11:30You know, it kind of gives me that sort of feel.
11:32Maybe we're entering the age of UTVs actually being somewhat tasteful.
11:36Like, usually there was, like, graphics and splashes and just useless design sort of stuff
11:42just for the sake of it.
11:43But this is honestly kind of tasteful, and that's really weird to say.
11:47I will say, the first manufacturer that comes out with a side-by-side that's green with
11:51gold wheels, you might have me.
11:53You might actually have me.
11:54Is that what it's going to take to put you in this rig?
11:57Yeah, that might be what it takes to finally sell mine and, like, get into something newer
12:02that's my favorite color combination.
12:03This red and silver is absolutely phenomenal.
12:06It is pretty nice.
12:07This is a lovely red color, and I can't say what I'm actually thinking, but it reminds
12:11it's very red.
12:13Who doesn't love red?
12:14It's like a lady of the night.
12:16It's like lipstick red.
12:17That's what we're supposed to say, you know?
12:19Again, it's a two-seater.
12:20This thing is just so bolt upright.
12:21It's 74 inches wide.
12:23This thing, you know, as opposed to a lot of the four-door rigs that we get in, this thing
12:27is just standing up and just wants to punch you in the face.
12:30Killer stance.
12:31Yeah.
12:32Like, man, look at that thing.
12:33That is rad.
12:34The other rigs have this thing beat in tire size, in engine output, but there is one
12:39thing that the Pro-R stands above the rest on still, and what is that?
12:44Does it stand above the rest, or does it bounce?
12:47Does it flex?
12:48Whatever you want to call it.
12:49So this thing is the undisputed king of usable suspension travel.
12:53It's 27 inches of usable travel in the front, and in the rear, we have 24 and a half.
12:5824 and a half.
12:59Which is, that is, like, comically large.
13:02And this thing actually is the leader in that way.
13:05I think here we've got 23 in front, 24 in back.
13:09So the Can-Am, Mav-R, Max, X, R, S.
13:1424 front and back.
13:15Straight out of the box.
13:16This is the best you're going to get as a, like, rock crawler.
13:20You can go 100 in this thing.
13:21You can go 100 in this thing.
13:23You can definitely still go 100 in this thing.
13:25But when you actually get into the rocks and want to get into the gnarly stuff, the Pro-R
13:29might be your guy, you know?
13:32Yeah.
13:32If you're looking for pucker moments and O moments, this is your rig.
13:37Yeah.
13:37Let's move on to the Maverick R.
13:39Yeah.
13:40So for a while, obviously, the Razor sort of had sort of the segment to itself.
13:44There really wasn't anything that could really touch the Pro-R.
13:48But then, 2024, the Maverick R came out with the tall knuckle suspension design, which
13:54you can spot from literally a quarter mile away.
13:56And so finally, I think Polaris had competition.
13:59And when there's horsepower competition, performance, sport comp, whatever you want to call it, the
14:06winners are you and me, the people that are looking for super sexy sport rigs.
14:10We've had plenty of videos why we love the Maverick R and Maverick R Max so much.
14:16This tall knuckle suspension is truly amazing.
14:19I'm not going to say impossible, but it's very difficult to put this thing on its side
14:23versus these two that have traditional suspension geometry.
14:27Yeah.
14:27This thing likes to be sideways.
14:30There's no two ways about it.
14:32Like we said earlier, the tires, they're not as knobby as other things you might see.
14:37And that's for a reason.
14:39It's because it likes to slide.
14:40It likes to be sideways.
14:42Yeah.
14:42So I'm not the smartest guy in the shop.
14:44All I know is that it prevents you from dying or crashing as much or tipping over.
14:50There's science behind it.
14:51I read it three times.
14:52I still don't understand it.
14:53So I'm just going to trust in the tall knuckle design.
14:55And Jackson could actually tell you using engineering and physics how it actually works.
15:01I can try to tell you.
15:01So this thing.
15:03So let's look at a traditional suspension setup.
15:06Yeah.
15:07So this, see, it attaches right there.
15:11It attaches right there, basically at the same spot.
15:14And when you have that, this wheel will pivot side to side, right?
15:19Where if you go over here, the bottom A-arm attaches way down there.
15:22The top A-arm is way up there.
15:26Yeah, so what we were just looking at is the sort of traditional double A-arm type front suspension, which
15:32is classic.
15:33It's been used.
15:34It's best practices, whatever.
15:36But this kind of changes it up.
15:37And it is technically a double A-arm.
15:40So I'm going to put it in the terms that I can understand and I can explain.
15:44So when you have a suspension setup like the Pro-R, when you have body roll, your body roll wants
15:53to come up top, right?
15:55Like it wants, when this is rolling, when this is moving, it wants to come on top of your wheels
16:01and fold over your wheels.
16:02When you have both of your A-arms down there, you put a lot more stress on that wheel.
16:07And that wheel likes to turn over.
16:09It likes to move.
16:10In dumb terms, that basically just means that you have a high center of gravity.
16:14When you go into a turn, your weight up there wants to be down low.
16:20Now with a tall knuckle suspension, since it's mounted all the way in the top, you lower your center of
16:25gravity.
16:26Or a better term for it is your roll center.
16:28And that got its name for, you guessed it, for how easy it is for something to roll.
16:34But you're basically lowering that.
16:36I mean, that's dumb terms.
16:37There's a lot more science in it.
16:38We have a whole post on our website about why that actually works.
16:41All you need to know is that it makes it harder to roll over when you go into a turn.
16:45That's basically the just of it.
16:46That's all you need to know, America.
16:48Yeah, yeah.
16:48You're safer.
16:49That's all K&M wants you to know.
16:51Less chance of grievous bodily injury.
16:53We can say all we want on paper.
16:55The best thing is when you actually get in the rig and you can feel that.
16:58Like, it feels like when you're driving a car on a road, right?
17:01Like, you don't think about going into a turn too fast that you might, you know, either put it on
17:07its side or bicycle it or whatever.
17:09You go into a turn and you're like, oh, yeah, all four of my wheels are planted on the ground
17:13at all times.
17:14No matter.
17:15Would you say that it's more confidence inspiring, Mr. Cooper?
17:17Absolutely.
17:18Absolutely it is.
17:19The H2 feels more like a side-by-side.
17:21Like, you have that traditional double A-arm suspension.
17:24Same one as in a Pro R.
17:25It feels like a side-by-side that I've been driving for years, right?
17:28You're higher up.
17:29You can feel the suspension moving under you.
17:31You can feel the suspension move when you go into turns.
17:34Whereas the Mav R feels like a race car.
17:37It feels like something that has dialed suspension for going fast.
17:42For going fast.
17:42For going fast around corners.
17:44For going fast just about anywhere you need to go.
17:46Yeah.
17:46Except into a rock because if you do that, you're going to puncture a tire.
17:49Let's not talk about such dark things.
17:52You and I both, I think, had in our driver's notes during our shootout that this thing felt like so
17:57planted.
17:57There was really almost nothing you could really do to upset it.
18:00Whereas the H2 kind of rocked and rolled.
18:02It was, like you said, like a very sort of classic rig ride.
18:06A lot of bouncing and so forth.
18:07Like, all the settings were great.
18:08Like, we loved it.
18:10You also got, like, sort of great feel.
18:11Like, you could sort of feel what you're going over.
18:13Or one of the things that with this was I sort of felt like, I don't know, I didn't really,
18:17like, you were just sort of floating above everything.
18:19But you weren't getting a lot of feedback.
18:20And I know that they both have, like, active shocks.
18:22But the Cowie, for some reason, it just kind of, like, like, if you hit something, you knew it.
18:27And it was fine.
18:28Yeah.
18:28But it wasn't like you just sort of, like, floated over it, you know.
18:30There's another thing that makes this rig special.
18:33And it's this transmission back here.
18:36Now, they've been using that style of engine forever for K&Ms.
18:39A 999cc triple, turbocharged triple is nothing to write home about.
18:44But if you look back in there, that is a DCT, if my camera will focus.
18:50That is a DCT transmission.
18:52You can go full auto if you want.
18:54Or you can have fun and do the closest thing that we can do in 2026 to shifting with the
18:59paddle shifters.
19:00I know that sometimes, like, on the trails, it was sort of fun just to put it in, like, auto
19:03and just kind of, like, set it and forget it.
19:05But it was really a lot of fun to play with the shifters.
19:06I feel like that's one of the biggest differences between driving it on the East Coast and West Coast.
19:10We drive it out on the West Coast, and you're in the dunes.
19:13You want, like, you have nothing to think about besides shifting gears and going wide open on a bowl, right?
19:21Whereas when you get it out here on the East Coast, you're constantly thinking about, like, what's my line going
19:26to be?
19:27What, you know, can I get over this rock?
19:28Where should my tire be?
19:29Shifting is just kind of another thing to worry about while you're doing that.
19:33And some people like that.
19:34I'm not a great multitasker, so I wasn't a huge fan of that.
19:38I more often found myself just putting it into automatic mode and just letting it figure out the rest.
19:44You know, once we got onto, like, an open straightaway, I would put it in a manual and have some
19:48fun.
19:48But for the most part, when I'm going on, like, some gnarly trails, it's in automatic.
19:52We have the DCT, we have the new suspension, and those don't come without downsides.
20:00And those downsides, the main one is the weight, right?
20:04Yeah.
20:04Like, this thing is remarkably heavier than these other two rigs.
20:08So this thing is filled with gas and fluids and all sorts of other stuff, but the dry weight is
20:122668, 2,668 pounds.
20:16And by the time you put all fluids in it, like, you're approaching 3,000 pounds, right?
20:19Exactly.
20:20This is not a small rig.
20:21This is the, I don't want to say porky, but it is the largest, the most substantial.
20:26The Cowie comes in at shy of 2,400 pounds.
20:29It's 23, I'm going to make up a number.
20:322,372 is our dry weight for this.
20:36That's before fluids and everything.
20:37Yeah.
20:38And that's 300 pounds.
20:39With fluids, this is still lighter than this without fluids.
20:44At 300 pounds is a lot.
20:45That could be two people or one Wisconsinite.
20:48You know, either way, 300 pounds is a lot.
20:51And we were just saying, we were actually looking at the spec sheet, and we were looking at, this is
20:55apples and oranges.
20:56Obviously, four-seater versus four-seater, and then obviously the two-seat buggy.
21:00This is actually surprisingly heavy, too.
21:03And I'm going to cheat and go back to the spec sheet here.
21:06Dry weight is 2339, which for a two-seater, which has obviously a much smaller chassis and footprint and everything
21:13else like that, is kind of heavy.
21:15So basically, this two-seater is about 40-ish pounds off of this four-seater?
21:21Yeah.
21:22And that's surprising, but not really when you dig into it.
21:26Again, going back to, like, the naturally aspirated engine, you have got a bigger block.
21:29You've got all this other stuff.
21:30You're not cheating and using supercharging or turbocharging.
21:341,000 extra cc's ain't that light, you know?
21:36Yeah.
21:36Like, going back to, like, sort of the different use cases for these, honestly, more weight if you're bouncing along
21:41rocks and crawling along is not the worst thing in the world.
21:44For the most part, you always want a lighter rig, but there are instances like that.
21:48Like, for instance, when you're on a trail and you're trying to take off, like, extra weight is going to
21:52put more grip onto your tires.
21:54Yeah, sometimes weight, when you're on a rock at a 45-degree angle, weight is good for grip or whatever.
22:00Now, when you get in the mud, you're going to want this thing.
22:02Yeah.
22:03But we're not going to talk about that.
22:04This ain't going to see mud, you know?
22:06Not at all.
22:06Not in East Tennessee.
22:07Mud?
22:08Never heard of it.
22:09The mud in Tennessee is really remarkable.
22:11It has, like, almost a coppery taste.
22:13It's really sort of a tanginess.
22:16It's way more interesting than Wisconsin mud.
22:18Now, to the thing that everybody really cares about, this is the Kawasaki Terex H2.
22:24First thing that everybody really cares about is back here.
22:29See where it says supercharged?
22:30That means it's supercharged.
22:32I love, like, the red trim.
22:34It's a Cowie.
22:35Yeah, it really puts emphasis on supercharged.
22:38Yeah, no, in 60 years of making hellaciously fast vehicles, Cowie, not one for being subtle, which is one of
22:45the things we love about them.
22:46But for a little, a small amount of time, this had the largest tires you could get on a production
22:51side-by-side.
22:52These are actually 33-inch tires.
22:54These are Max's Carnivores.
22:55Anybody who's familiar with side-by-sides knows these tires.
22:59Can-Am puts them on X3s.
23:00A very common tire.
23:02But these are 33s.
23:03Most often, you'll find them in 30s.
23:06And they were the largest tire you could get in a side-by-side for, like, three months until the
23:10Mavar RC came out.
23:11This is the RS, so it doesn't have the big tires.
23:13But the RC has 35s, which is now the biggest.
23:16All right, so this interior, it's unlike anything I've ever seen from a side-by-side.
23:20You've got this crazy gray color.
23:23You've got all kinds of controls right here, like that.
23:25That controls your menu, obviously.
23:26That's your headlights.
23:28You have that giant Garmin screen.
23:30Plenty of controls right there.
23:31And that shifter, that shifter is incredible.
23:35It's kind of funny.
23:36There's a lot of old-school sort of things about this.
23:38And I think that's what we really liked about it, is that, look at this.
23:42This is an emergency brake.
23:45Off, on.
23:46And the shifter, and the gated shifter, is just dead simple.
23:50You can look at it.
23:51You don't even have to look at it.
23:51You can just feel where you are.
23:53It's very old-school.
23:54All of the switches here are really nice.
23:57They're dedicated, and they move.
23:59And so it's not just, like, a button that goes on and off.
24:03All right.
24:03Well, that's a toggle and all that.
24:05But what we really loved about it were the controls, and they were dead simple, and they
24:08were dedicated switches to everything.
24:10Whereas, I think, in the Mav-R, you had a lot of, like, you had, like, a button for reverse,
24:15for neutral, for park.
24:16And as we covered it with Tennessee mud, it was sort of hard.
24:19It's nice that they're backlit, but they're buttons.
24:22And they just, you know, you don't really know if they're on.
24:24You're covered in mud.
24:25They become illegible.
24:26Yeah.
24:28This was really great.
24:29Physical buttons are always nice, you know?
24:30Yeah.
24:30Like, you look at this, and this is, like, the same sort of, like, cockpit that you've known
24:34your entire life.
24:35Yeah.
24:36It's just dead simple.
24:37Also, man, I cannot say good enough things about these seats.
24:40These seats are incredible.
24:41These are better than the seats in my car.
24:43Yeah.
24:44And it's odd.
24:45Like, we both had the same reaction.
24:47Like, they're really nice.
24:49It's like, am I in a side-by-side?
24:51Like, these are positively plush.
24:53So, they definitely passed the posterior test, the butt test.
24:56Mm-hmm.
24:57Um, I will say, these inertia reel harnesses, not super great.
25:02They like to catch, and then not catch, and then catch, and then not catch, and all the,
25:06what seems to be the worst times.
25:08So, we have the Terex 5.
25:10There is the Terex 4.
25:11And really, the only difference is this little jump seat right here, which is designed for
25:16height-challenged people, people of diminutive sizes, kids, whatever, as an adult.
25:23And just to kind of be the guinea pig here.
25:25Oh, my God.
25:26This is really, oh, my God.
25:29So, yeah.
25:30So, this is like a little jump seat or whatever.
25:32I mean, it's technically five people that you can sort of squeeze in here.
25:36It's kind of a sort of a sausage factory kind of thing.
25:38You know, they just added a seat.
25:40They didn't have to change the chassis, the frame, or anything else like that.
25:43And voila, you get two models instead of just one.
25:46Plus, it has stadium seating, which means you can actually see what's going on in the trail
25:50instead of just staring at it.
25:51I do feel like I'm in a stadium right now watching a very important sporting match.
25:55You're kind of just sort of on this ridge right here, which being a Kawasaki, zing.
26:01Anyway, so, yeah, it is kind of like stadium seating.
26:03I mean, we're all sort of at least, I would say, about four or five inches higher than everyone
26:08in the front.
26:08So, we get to see everything that they're, you know, pointing us at and driving towards
26:12danger.
26:13Which, like, still, how tall are you?
26:14I am seven foot, maybe 5'11", maybe 5'10".
26:19Yeah, 5'11", six foot.
26:19But, seven feet on a good day.
26:22Like, you still have plenty of room above your head.
26:24I do, actually.
26:25You're not bonking your head on that.
26:26And because of the actual harnesses instead of just the seatbelt, like, even if you hit
26:30a bump, like, you got plenty of room.
26:32Oh, yeah.
26:33No, we're fine.
26:33And this is kind of one of the other driver's notes that we had was that this rig is markedly
26:38taller.
26:39In fact, I'm just pulling this number off the top of my head.
26:43I think it's at least, like, five or six inches taller.
26:45This thing you kind of get up into.
26:47The Mav-R is really kind of more sporty.
26:50Like, you really sort of climb into it.
26:52Yeah, yeah.
26:53But, yeah, this has definitely got a bit of a higher sort of center of gravity.
26:56All of this stuff actually kind of makes this sort of more fun and usable, I thought, anyway.
27:02Those were my notes.
27:03But, yeah.
27:04Yeah, I mean, it's good for the whole family.
27:06I mean, you can see this thing.
27:07This is very low to the ground.
27:10And if you watch any of our videos and watch us with the GoPros getting inside it, yeah,
27:16see, watch Anders.
27:17He has to, like, step down into it.
27:19You feel like you're...
27:20See, look here.
27:21Oh, my head!
27:22And we reiterate this a lot, that it feels like a race car, whereas these feel like side-by-sides.
27:28So when we're getting in and out of this, obviously, when we shoot videos, we do all the gear, the
27:32helmets, and everything.
27:33And I don't think I got into this thing once without bonking my head on this significantly sort of lower
27:39A-arm right here.
27:40And if you see on the H2, it's way more.
27:43It's kind of, like, angled at the top.
27:45Yeah, ingress and egress is just way easier in the H2.
27:48And that doesn't really make a huge difference.
27:49It's just kind of a preference thing, I guess.
27:51So this has definitely way more aggressive, like, ergonomics.
27:56And I don't know if you can see this or not, but there's a lot more sort of, like, molded
28:00plastic.
28:01It sort of envelops you.
28:03And you do get this really nice TFT that is horizontal and everything.
28:08But if you look and see in here, the transmission, we've got sort of, obviously, forward for reverse, back for
28:13drive,
28:13which is fairly intuitive or whatever.
28:16But for park and low and neutral and manual and all that other kind of stuff, these are just buttons.
28:21And once you press them, unless it's lit, you don't really know if it's on, did it work or not.
28:27As you can see, we're going to fire the person who washes all these rigs.
28:30It's a little dirty in here.
28:31Spoiler alert, it's me.
28:33We're not going to fire you.
28:34Just kidding.
28:36But, you know, when this thing is covered, like, in just layers and layers of mud,
28:40it's kind of hard to tell what's on, what's happening, and sort of where you are,
28:43and what you've got engaged in, and what you don't.
28:45That's, like, I don't know if you can see, like, under here, there's, like, sharp edges everywhere.
28:49Yeah.
28:49Including the seats.
28:50Like, see, like, down here, this is all sharp plastic.
28:53That, like, you know, may not cut, this might actually cut your hand.
28:57But, you know, may not cut your hand, but still, it's, like, it's a lot more uncomfortable.
29:01Whereas the H2, it feels like those seats were actually made for it,
29:06and actually made for people to sit in.
29:08Like, once you're in it and ripping around, you're fine.
29:13But getting in and out is kind of a pain in the butt.
29:16You don't even get, like, the classic sort of, like, fake bicycle riding handles.
29:21Like, you get this.
29:21Look at this.
29:22This is, like...
29:23This handle on this door.
29:24This.
29:24Oh, this handle.
29:25Yeah, to hold on to while your driver is making, like, pucker moves.
29:29Ah!
29:31Yeah, exactly.
29:31Something like that.
29:32This is kind of more enjoyable than just sort of the, like, sit-up-and-beg kind of thing.
29:36Yeah, sure.
29:37Anyway, that's what we've got going on in the shop in Knoxville.
29:40I just want to give you sort of a...
29:42I don't know, just sort of go over the exciting rigs that we've got in the shop.
29:45And normally, we're always out at, like, Windrock and ripping them around and getting all muddy.
29:49This is just kind of a fun way to sort of go over specs and general driver's notes
29:54of all the rigs that we have in the shop.
29:55The Maverick R-Max XRS and the Kawasaki Terex 5H2 and the Polaris Razer Pro R Ultimate.
30:07Thank you so much for watching.
30:09I hope you enjoyed sort of seeing the shop and the rigs that we've got in here.
30:11If you like what you've seen, hit subscribe, hit like, and hit comments.
30:16We love comments, good or bad.
30:18Let our bosses know if we're doing a good job.
30:20And when you're done with that, go to utvdriver.com.
30:22We have news and reviews and buyer's guides.
30:26Five days a week, new content every single day, except the weekends.
30:29We've got to, you know, chill for the weekends.
30:31Well, we have videos on the weekends.
30:32We do have videos on the weekends.
30:34Oh, see? Look at that. Six days a week.
30:35Yeah. Also, this is like a new type of content we're making.
30:39More like, you know, heart-to-heart, more shop videos,
30:43stuff like where you actually see the real us instead of weird faces we put on for YouTube.
30:47I want to talk to you about an important subject.
30:50Yeah, exactly.
30:50The TVs and the losers who drive them.
30:52Yeah, exactly. And that's us. We're the losers who drive.
30:55But, yeah.
30:56Just kidding. We're winners.
30:57If you like this kind of content and want to see more of it, please let us know.
31:00It's something we're trying out, and we'd love to hear from you.
31:03You're welcome, America. Thanks a lot.
