00:13This small espresso machine costs just $299, but don't assume the Bambino performs like a
00:19budget machine because you would be very, very wrong. All of Breville's espresso machines have
00:23a PID controller, which is a nifty piece of equipment that controls water temperature at
00:27every point during the extraction process. If your water is too hot or too cold,
00:32your espresso won't taste right. I could do a whole separate video explaining why,
00:37but to keep things simple, if you're picky about perfect espresso, you'll need to have a PID
00:42controller. Some brands reserve it for higher-end units, but not Breville.
00:46Now for my fellow coffee nerds, you get customisable pre-infusion with the Bambino.
00:50So different types of coffee beans will benefit from a longer or a shorter pre-infusion,
00:54so plenty of flexibility here. But espresso machines aren't just about coffee.
00:59Steam wands are super important too. If you want to achieve that barista latte art,
01:03you need a high-quality steam wand. Somehow the Bambino's pressure is on par with machines that
01:08cost twice as much, and the wand is more flexible than your yoga teacher. A weak steam wand is a
01:13common
01:14shortcoming on lower-cost machines, but not the Bambino. The Bambino needs no boiler purging and can
01:19provide drinks back-to-back with no sweat. So, does the Breville Bambino get the official coffee lab
01:25TAMP of approval? Absolutely! It's 5 out of 5 stars. This is the ultimate entry-level beast.
