00:00So Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and 8 Elite Xtreme Gen 6 has literally just been announced and Qualcomm's
00:06given me a device with the Xtreme chip in to benchmark. Let's do it quick before I get told
00:10off. So two caveats. Number one, these are Qualcomm reference designs. So in that vein,
00:16take these numbers with like just a tiny pinch of salt. And number two is the actual usability
00:19of them. These were super fast. But that being said, Apple's A20 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro and
00:25Pro Max holds that lead over Snapdragon 8 Elite Xtreme Gen 6. But where things get just a tiny
00:32bit more interesting is when you get to graphics specifically for gaming and also for AI performance.
00:38So when you get to the GPU bit, it's trading blows to the graphics inside that A20 Pro.
00:42But the big upgrade here is Adreno Neural Fusion. So what you end up getting is games that look
00:47sharper, that look smoother, but also consume a lot less of the wattage in that battery.
00:52And then of course, there's the AI performance. And what we are seeing is huge gains, which means
00:58yes, indeed, this platform is prime for an agentic era of the way that you use your phone.
01:04Now, ultimate question, who should upgrade? If you've got the past couple of years worth of
01:08Snapdragon chips, then this isn't worth the upgrade. But if you want the best gaming performance that
01:14I've seen on a phone, and you want to set yourself up with all of those local AI goodies,
01:18this is the one to get.
