00:00Is there like a moment in time where something happened where you were like, Mary Cutter, this is it, man?
00:07You know, if I hadn't sat down with Roth Stratton, who on the radio stations, who knows if I even
00:12would have come to Nashville.
00:13And after I moved to town, I was writing for those different artists.
00:16Some of those songwriting credits opened up a lot of doors for me.
00:18With my own artistry, I hosted every single day songs that I was writing.
00:23And I remember I was back at home for the holidays up in Kentucky, and I had written this song.
00:28It was about my great granddaddy, who was a bootlegger, and he had built a church using some of the
00:34money from bootlegging.
00:35And I thought to myself, man, it really would be cool to film that song out in front of the
00:40church.
00:40At that point, I had zero numbers on social media.
00:44I had no following.
00:45But I went out to that church and I just filmed a little verse chorus of it.
00:48And I remember the next morning I woke up and it was almost six million views.
