01:21video this is my family home my father Howard picked up hoarding when his father passed away collecting
01:29things that he found value in some of my hot wheel cars are here it's hard to throw stuff away

01:37I see the value and stuff I mean there are piles four or five feet high guys we got our

01:43out for us yes we do right now you can't even walk through the front door let alone get into

01:48kitchen thank you it's really overbearing for me I can't handle it sometimes in this you know stay at
01:56the hotel he's a veteran he's very open about his situation he's had a rough couple years and he
02:02needs some help I mean he cannot live in this house right now yeah but he's also got some really
02:07good high-end items I've been happy in the world I've been in the Air Force I have currency from
02:12a lot of
02:13countries I've been to Bobbleheads there's more Bobbleheads over here Michael Jordan Jersey like
02:18sports memorabilia basketball baseball little golf that Tiger Woods set it's in this room somewhere
02:24if you threw out any two names in sports memorabilia collecting Jordan is number one and Tiger isn't far
02:32behind where I live DC is like good for collecting rare valuables he lived here in the district and so
02:39he's collected a lot of different political stuff if you have political items anywhere in the country
02:45it's one thing but if you have political items in DC it's something totally different the great thing
02:51about the DC area is that there are more political memorabilia collectors with deeper pockets than
02:56anywhere else in the country the basement it has like this mold on the ceilings and on the walls one
03:02of the washers in the kitchen and upstairs damage the house a little bit to have water damage in the
03:07house a lot of things got destroyed I'm a little concerned about just the quality of the house just
03:12on the safe side if you're in the basement wear a mask a hundred percent the conditions are just
03:18unbearable so we we need some help yeah and we need it now he's an interesting curious guy he's
03:24into politics he's in uh to military he's into sports like we're gonna find some cool stuff only
03:30one way to find out main three items we're looking for sports memorabilia we got a lot of coins I

03:37we got vented money from around the world and then he's got a lot of political stuff that he's just
03:41saved throughout the years living here in the district this is a veteran that's out of his house now and

04:43come through the front door he has been hoarded out of his own home you can't even get in the

04:49door this is an extreme level of hoarding and I want to caution everyone that means this man is
04:56brilliant that's what this means I'm guessing this is your yes this is it I'm feeling at home in here
05:10the basement it's so big and it's so dangerous it's a wash we'll probably take 10,000 pounds of trash

05:31all right let's go upstairs all right you used every space every inch yes sir I see all these bags

05:38all these boxes yeah we got to clear it out but I also see a lot of black mold I

05:42this house cleared out we also have to get it safe this is an extremely challenging hoard the mold alone
05:49could increase our clean-out cost twenty to thirty thousand dollars oh you smell the mold coming out
05:56of here if this mold get in your system man that's a whole nother subject oh yeah that's coming down

06:07wall man like this this is dangerous but the beams look pretty good don't look like
06:12it was water damage to the beams man man right now this is a hazard it's a lot of mold

06:20to be treated that's not cheap that's all molded right here hot wheel cars you know I would say
06:29that these are a good fine but this is all molded so these are trash ain't nothing we can do

06:39from the start I see some big things that I think we can get out of here pretty quickly mattress
06:46futon this is stuff you haven't even had a chance to open the hordes are impressive right they don't
06:54get built overnight I mean these are big structural piles supposed to be free to walk and then you have
07:00a path here all right so is that the goal we'll all be free to walk hopefully yes okay how

07:06feeling right now it's overwhelming you know I mean my family is more important you know I didn't see
07:13you know earlier and then sometimes you have to be told well you think you can handle it right you
07:18think you can yes I thought I could handle it then I this is not something one man can do

07:34looking what kind of stuff am I looking for I do collect coins 64 and below okay half dollars
07:39silver dollars I was stationed in Germany so I have currency from all the countries there oh my gosh
07:44man that could be incredible the appeal for collectors of rare foreign currency comes down
07:50to a mix of history art politics and investment when countries dissolve such as Yugoslavia or East Germany
07:56their currencies can become highly sought after because they are no longer being circulated and the money
08:01holds historical significance Germany has said our Vita send to their beloved Deutschmark today as
08:07they're officially adopting the euro some foreign currency is only worth face value while others can
08:13sell for exorbitant prices like in 2024 when a rare Czechoslovakian republic note the 5,000
08:20Kuroon sold at auction for 1 million dollars well you know that's the stuff I gotta find right yeah and
08:28so we have
08:29to go through every single bag cleaning out the property of someone that actually created the
08:35hoard can be a really delicate situation it is imperative that we show respect to Howard and his
08:41collection through the entire clean-out process what room is that back there this used to be my master
08:46bedroom and then I switched rooms we took their room and they took our room okay as we got older
08:51let's
08:51check it out this used to be my old room yes that I shared with my aunt and my sister
08:58now it's a cat's
09:00room now her name is princess so this is the biggest room this is a master bedroom okay yes sir

09:05me to make money on this I've got to find some cool stuff so I'm open to anything so the

09:11things I'm looking for our sporting goods stuff right and then I did see some political stuff on
09:17them on the first floor and I see coins and foreign currency from what I'm seeing and hearing obviously
09:22there's a lot of trash in this house but my hunch is telling me that there's some really good valuables
09:27somewhere in this house we just have to stay focused dig in find these valuables and find a
09:33way to offset the increasing cleaning costs let me go find my team and then I'll meet you guys

09:43thinking oh yeah I agree yeah I agree the kitchen trash like everything in the kitchen trash I was in
09:53the basement I didn't see anything of value everything on top it looked like it's just got water damage and
09:58mold all over okay it's a gamble we didn't find any sports memorabilia I mean my eyes are saying don't
10:07but my brain is saying do although the house sure doesn't look like it the little things I'm finding
10:13is telling me that man maybe he does have some really nice stuff I'm getting holy grail vibes here
10:19you know like I'm running Indiana Jones with what was the best cup was really the least impressive
10:24I think this house might be full of that so what would you think on overall cost then we're going

10:34on top of that the basement is covered in mold I gotta get a mold specialist somebody to come in
10:38here and look at this mold first it's deep in the walls so we're gonna have to rip them out

10:43more drywall up just to even make this basement livable again my guess that's gonna add at least
10:49another 20 grand so all together that's gonna be 40 grand it's a five or six day clean I honestly
10:55think there's 50 to 70 thousand in here we can make money here yeah and make a difference yeah all
11:00right I'm gonna go talk to the family up front to see if we can make a deal that makes

12:26have two points of access open so we have a much easier time clearing out the rest of the house

14:08NBA championships and was a four-time all-star MVP Kobe for the win yes known for his mamba mentality

14:16transcended basketball to influence fashion hip-hop and film in August of 2025 Kevin O'Leary aka Mr.
14:23Wonderful from Shark Tank purchased a rare one-of-one Kobe and Michael Jordan card for just under 13 million
14:30dollars unbelievable man anywhere from one to ten thousand dollars dude great job from my experience
14:40I didn't think there'd be a whole lot of value in this basement it's pretty much all ruined by mold
14:44I am shocked the value of items that we've actually found in this basement while Katelyn and I continue to
14:50attack the basement Mike's gonna clear a path to the front door with two access points on this house we
14:57can clean this entire house out and twice as best we got a little work here bud all right here

15:10this is about six to ten inches worth of stuff that I'm standing on right now
15:17I think this is all just trash but you gotta look through everything he literally has money mixed in
15:23with the trash find anything in there Chris check this out Mike this is a silver coin one ounce of
15:32fine silver I still got boxes like this to go through this in my hand right here is worth at

15:38eighty dollars if you're finding boxes of them yeah this is gonna add up really fast see like six more
15:44boxes wow you got them scattered all over the floor you know I gotta be honest I had my doubts

15:49house but these silver coins are legit and that gives me hope that there's more buried treasure
15:54scattered throughout this house one bag closer to getting this door open
16:01how come you and I always end up in the basement and then you gotta go through every single
16:09bed Howard created this all on his own he wrapped all these things up to keep it safe most
16:16good items are wrapped in two or three plastic bags because he's been trying to protect them
16:21and they're at the bottom of a big pile problem is man like you go through all this and you
16:26find a
16:26gold coin you know I don't even know what this is Elvis Presley gold record and it's a gold record
16:35I mean this would normally sell for a couple thousand dollars can't do nothing it's all destroyed
16:40might be able to save the record but man that is a bummer we've been picking all morning I mean
16:45we've taken probably 2 000 pounds worth of trash out of like 10 feet of the basement we've got a
16:51significant amount of mold this is an extremely challenging hoard this is all trash man look at
16:58this this is just mold paper and poop I mean look at this all this poop over here I don't
17:08even see it
17:09oh my gosh type of animal is that I mean we've spent a half a day cleaning out this basement
17:14with the
17:15exception of the kobe ball we haven't found anything else of substantial value it's all
17:20destroyed by the mold and we can't find anything to sell trash cost me money to throw it away if

17:25increase my trash costs it decreases my ability to sell anything our profit is decreasing and our
17:30expenses are going up I really hope mike and chris are having much better luck upstairs
17:40oh and there's the door there it is woo all right mission accomplished we got the front door open
17:46finally we have access to the front door this is huge that being said it doesn't really help our
17:52profit margins so we need to find real items of value fast

20:31really good about what you're doing and then it's kind of like hiking the grand canyon you think you're
20:36at the bottom and then you get over the edge and you look down and you realize you got a
20:38whole nother day
20:39to go um we got a whole long way to go on this house i mean all this stuff's ruined
21:09it's just a nightmare i'm glad you're here bro yep hey i got all this mold down here
21:13and it has taken over everything i mean it is every nook and creamy is covered this is just a

21:25this unfortunately i had to call an expert luckily this is my old stomping grounds i was able to pull
21:31in some favors and keep the cost down to about three grand okay more here i'm gonna fall this out
21:37he's gonna spray something on the mold called concrobrium which is a non-toxic chemical solution
21:42it eliminates the spread of mold at the base of the spores so it can't live anymore we have them
21:48use
21:48concrobium because it's a lot safer for the house and for us when we're still staying around and
21:53cleaning it you guys can go ahead and start to demo the wall okay now that the basement's been sprayed
21:59we're gonna let it sit and dry once it's safe for us to go down there we'll have the walls
22:03ripped out
22:04because they're just too far gone and we can't patch them

22:19one of these before what you have in your hand is what they call macerated money when u.s currency

22:26retired the treasury shreds it soaks it and turns it into pulp to make sure it can't be reused
22:32then artists buy the pulp and create different sculptures like this macerated head believe it or
22:38not it takes fifteen thousand dollars of shredded money to make a six by four inch version of one
22:43of these these are actually really rare i've sold one of these before these can sell for two to three
22:49thousand dollars what's up great find this is a cool find i mean we're in dc this is where you're
22:56gonna find rare political items like this all right i'll tell you what i'm gonna finish working in the
23:00living room dining room and you just call me if you find anything else cool i've got you while the
23:05basement dries out mike and chris are gonna keep picking in the living room and then i can move

23:36more and more sports memorabilia at every turn so this is great oh my gosh more bryce harper
23:43game day programs they're basically worthless oh wow
23:48this is pretty interesting all right we got jfk memorabilia jfk is one of the most collectible
23:56presidents of all time ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your
24:05country
24:06the 35th president of the united states is remembered for his youthful optimism
24:10and unfinished promise in fact jfk remains the youngest person ever elected president taking
24:17office at only 43 years old under this treaty we can and must still keep a vigilant defense of freedom
24:25the most expensive piece of jfk memorabilia ever sold is his louis the 16th desk where he famously
24:32signed the nuclear test ban treaty it sold for 1.4 million dollars in 1996. this whole bin seems to

24:48the warren report this was the official report on the assassination of jfk i've gone through the top
24:54third of it and i'm seeing hundreds of dollars so far this is the political memorabilia that we've
25:00been looking for and it's in great shape you know these aren't home runs but there's still value here

26:43our numbers we desperately need to find some more items because we have not made enough money to cover

29:50treasure is upstairs and he's led us to it the jackpot should be in one of these bedrooms i love
29:56my job you know we are not out of the woods yet we need more sales and luckily mike has

30:141800s into about the 1940s i had seen something like this in a shop and wasn't able to work out

38:54dollars but that includes the ceiling on both levels now our total sales the political items
39:01they didn't sell for much sports memorabilia was pretty decent but all of the coins and foreign
39:07currency we discovered along the way was a massive massive win and ultimately we found a great buyer for
39:13that collection i think i'm at 15 would you do 14 to 50 done you got a deal thank you
