00:08Man, I thought they were going to get 10, 11, 12, 13 game win streak.
00:10Was broken up yesterday, but still sitting there with a 17-10 record.
00:14Then you take a look, though, at the San Diego Padres.
00:17First place technically in the NL West at this point right now.
00:21They'll meet up Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Craig.
00:24Yeah, probably the best series to start the week.
00:26And, of course, some really good pitching matchups, too.
00:29I love when Matt Waldron pitches because every once in a while he throws that knuckleball in Wednesday night.
00:34So I'll want to check that out.
00:35But, look, Boyd, Edward Cabrera, Jamison Tyon, all of the Cubs starters doing a really good job.
00:40And, as you mentioned, the Padres' bullpen has been just nasty.
00:44So I would expect a fun series this week.
00:46Clearly the Padres will be favored probably in two of the three games.
00:50Cabrera, I would guess, Tuesday will be favored over Buehler just based on the way that the Cubs are playing
00:54and the way that Cabrera has pitched for the most part.
00:57But, yeah, fun series coming up there.

01:02Like, Buehler's starting to be just an innings eater at this point.
01:05You know, not that Dodger pitcher that we saw in the past floated around with the Philadelphia Phillies.

01:09But, again, they're still winning with very good starting pitching.
01:12Not their superstars hitting all that well, as we've turned out.
01:15For me, if I look at that series, too, I think the Cubs might take that 2-1.
01:18But we'll see as we get going along.
01:20Red Sox and the Blue Jays this week.
01:22Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
01:24Which, again, focuses in on Sunday, you'll have a new manager for the Boston Red Sox.
01:28Then you have that decompression and a new series to start off going up against the Blue Jays here.
01:33What are your expectations?
01:34Because as you talked about, Craig, in hour number one,
01:37do you get that bump of not just the manager fire, but every coach is fired?
01:41Uh-oh.
01:41Put up or shut up time for the players now for the Red Sox.
01:44Look, it's really hard for me to say, not being around.
01:47But, generally speaking, any time in sports a manager or a coach gets let go,
01:52you do get that bump, at least initially.
01:54And I don't know if that will happen this week, but it is set up for Boston to get that
01:59bump.
01:59I mean, look who the Blue Jays are throwing at the Red Sox this week.
02:02And I know Bayo got absolutely destroyed this week, but this is Corbin, Lauer, and Scherzer.
02:08And Scherzer is one of those guys where, Donnie, is someone going to go run out to the mound and
02:12drag him off?
02:12Like, is that what's going to have to happen here for him to stop?
02:15I don't know.
02:16He's a Hall of Famer.
02:18But, I mean, it's been—and I love Max, but, man, it has been rough for Max Scherzer pitching this season.
02:24So, I mean, it's set up, Donnie, for the Red Sox to win two out of three coming up here.
02:29But based on the way they're playing, I can't say that.
02:32Yeah, we'll see.
02:33Because they had that big 17-1 win on Saturday.
02:35Then Early's going to get the start on Sunday.
02:37Then you roll it over there to a guy that you paid a lot of money for Suarez.
02:39Maybe you can get on that little streak, and then also makes that front office look extremely smart.
02:44Can you imagine, Craig, these losing streaks here now turn into a five- or six-game win streak?

02:50But you better start piling up those wins now.

02:53Usually in the past, like, hey, Corbin and Scherzer, what is it, the heyday of the Washington Nationals?
02:57No, you're just looking to extend the season at this point right now.
03:00Corbin, Lauer, and Scherzer, you better be able to get a series win here for those Red Sox.
