00:01Hey!
00:02Whoa!
00:03Then I will never retire!
00:06Just when they think they got the answers,
00:09I change the questions.
00:11It's me often!
00:12Who are you to doubt El Daniels?
00:15This guy's a serious professional.
00:17Brett screws Brett.
00:18That's not as my witness! He has broken a hand!
00:22Hey!
00:23Yeah!
00:24Did he do it? Cover!
00:27Oh, and a kick out!
00:29Unbelievable!
00:35Promotional consideration.
00:36Pay for by the following.
00:47Hey, yo, Fro Wrestling Podcast listeners.
00:49Welcome to the show where we don't sing it, we bring it.

00:54Ladies and gentlemen, for the third time tonight,
00:56we are going live with an update to the breaking news story
01:01started earlier this evening.
01:03Multiple WWE superstars, even main roster superstars being released.
01:08And in our previous episode, we covered some, but the list has grown exponentially.
01:12Right now, we want to report that.
01:14We're going to go through the full list.
01:15Yes, let's do it that way.
01:16We're going to start with what we spoke about earlier today.
01:19Alba Fire, Zoe Stark, and the all members of the Wyatt Six being released earlier today.
01:24We also mentioned the NXT superstar, Dante Chen, had been released.
01:28Since that posting, we have seen a massive slew of other people being released from their WWE contracts.
01:35These include NXT superstar, Andre Chase, the former leader of Chase U.
01:40The one that really surprised me, because we're waiting on a payoff from a story that's been going on for
01:46basically three years,
01:48is Kairi Sane.
01:50The Kabuki Warriors are no more.
01:52Asuka and Kairi have been split up as Kairi Sane has been eliminated from WWE with having her contract not
01:59renewed or released or whatnot.
02:01Also joining the list, Apollo Crews, who came back to WWE, and let's be honest, has not been used to
02:07his full potential.
02:08A few appearances here and there on SmackDown.
02:11As after that, former WWE tag team champions, the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Saban, both released
02:19from their WWE contracts.
02:20And now the last three are ones that I'm shocked over for different reasons.
02:24One, Santos Escobar.
02:26His contract ran out last year.
02:29WWE went out of their way to re-sign him to a massive contract that was going to be significantly
02:36increase in money.
02:38He was supposed to be brought to the main roster as a main roster star.
02:41And instead, Santos Escobar, after signing that contract, never again appears for WWE in a main roster position.
02:49And instead, he has been injured, relegated to AAA shows where he's made a couple of appearances, but nothing on
02:58the main roster.
02:59Now, that is actually not the most surprising one to me.
03:02The most surprising release tonight so far, and I say so far because we could still hear more tonight and
03:07I might be back on here again.
03:09But Aleister Black and Zelina Vega.
03:12The married couple who have been performing on SmackDown's brand and quite frankly, heading into WrestleMania.
03:18Word is, is Aleister Black was planned to be the original person talking to Randy Orton on the phone instead
03:25of Pat McAfee.
03:26Aleister Black and Zelina Vega now gone from the company.
03:30Talk about a missed opportunity.
03:32Aleister Black was finally in a position where you could have strategically placed him into a feud that could have
03:37gotten him over.
03:39He's over with the fans.
03:40The character is so unique.
03:42It's as close as you're going to get to The Undertaker without being disingenuous or disrespectful.
03:46Um, Zelina Vega has been, I mean, she's a jack of all trades for WWE and can do anything they
03:52ask her to do.
03:52These two are some of the most shocking ones of the day.
03:55I think Kyrie's saying maybe the most shocking considering we never got the match where we were expecting to see
04:01Asuka versus Io with possibly Kyrie being the special referee because she's been pulled between the two.
04:08Now we're never going to get a payoff to that.
04:10Oh, I wanted to be with Asuka, but Io has been backing me up all this time.
04:14And now, and here's the thing, like I get it.
04:17WWE makes roster cuts every year.
04:19It's cost cutting for, for profitability purposes.
04:22That's business.
04:23I understand all of that.
04:24What you should never do is cut somebody when your fan base is waiting for a payoff.
04:31We have been waiting for the better part of two to three years to see this all come together, all
04:35come to fruition, to see where this plays out.
04:37We have been really building.
04:39It was supposed to be a match at Mania.
04:41It got thrown aside because of the injury to Nikki Bella and the Kabuki Warriors possibly having to take that
04:48spot when Paige substituted.
04:51It made it so that didn't have to happen, but they had no time to build this other match.
04:55And now we're just not going to see it.
04:56If you want to cut talent, I understand all of that.
05:00But what you should not be doing, as I said before, is taking away the payoff for a long-term
05:05storyline that your fans have been patiently waiting for, looking forward to, highly anticipating.
05:11And now, where do we go from here?
05:12Where does Io go from here?
05:14Where does Asuka go from here?
05:15Are we going to reunite the two of them in some way, shape, or form?
05:18That's the only thing I could see that would make sense.
05:20But Io is over like Rover.
05:22Obviously, you don't want to change anything for Io.
05:24So, very crazy stuff.
05:26I really would have loved to see so much more from Aleister Black.
05:30Kairi Sane is so much better than even what she was given.
05:33And she was given a lot.
05:34Don't get me wrong.
05:35But she was even better than what she was given.
05:37It's just all of this so shocking to me.
05:40Not that there were cuts.
05:42I get it.
05:42It happens every year.
05:43But the people that were being cut.
05:46You know, I understood like last year when Braun Strowman was cut.
05:49He had a massive contract.
05:51Now, look, I don't know the contract details that all these people had.
05:53But you can't convince me that some of these people were making, you know, seven figure deals.
05:58I just don't see that as being realistic.
06:00You know, when you look at the roster, I think they're missing the boat on some really incredible storylines going
06:06forward with some of these talents that they've now recently let go.
06:09What a sad day for talent in WWE.
06:11Our thoughts and prayers with all of the talent.
06:13I hope all of them bounce back really well.
06:16And we're recording this in the middle of SmackDown where we've seen debuts of NXT talent coming to the main
06:22roster and all of this stuff.
06:24Is this why they do it?
06:25Do they purge all this talent to make room for the NXT call-ups and then breed the next level
06:30of competitor down in NXT to do the same thing next year?
06:33At what point are you cutting away too many of your prime stars?
06:38And, you know, Braun Strowman was a tough one for me last year.
06:41Other talents in the past have been difficult for me to see.
06:43But this year, these three in particular really, really hit.
06:47These are premium talents, people who had prominent positions on the shows.
06:52I just don't understand it.
06:53But, like I said earlier tonight, if you've got questions, comments about this, if something else comes down, you can
06:59call me, Fro Wrestling Sound Offline, 267-642-1160.
