00:19Winter is here and you know we have very limited time left now and we're really
00:27close to the goal but this time of year everything's pretty near its breaking point 31 year old parker
00:34schnabel is closing out the busiest season of his life running 24 7 for six months and it's paying off
00:44he's close to breaking his 10 000 ounce goal but is barely ahead of neighbor tony beats mitch is
00:53busy running stripping program in the midst of you know trying to keep roxanne running and starting
00:58our next pit on the indian river for next year and then tyson is just you know fighting to keep
01:07the three plants on dominion running to hit his goal this week parker's cranking up his four
01:15wash plants to run even more pay dirt just got to keep keep these wash plants running
01:24yeah go ahead got a big problem with roxanne got some cracked cross tubes here
01:36all right yeah i'll let mitch know he'll come up and have a look at it with you
01:49hey mitch what's happening man just trying to figure out the best way to get rid of this water over
01:54here
01:56alex just radioed me and there's bigger problems there's a bunch of cracks in the screen deck on
02:03roxanne oh he's up there having a look at it and we're only like what 400 and change away from
02:11hitting
02:11our goal so we'll just have to keep trying to babysit it through the season and then figure out a
02:17plan
02:17yeah on the plus side gold has another record high today that's awesome nuts it's totally crazy
02:24but yeah let's try to keep that thing banging if you don't mind all right we'll go have a look
02:28thanks
02:28man only two years old wash plant roxanne already has cracks in its structural tubes if not fixed
02:39they could break apart and damage the plant putting it out of action for the rest of the season how's
02:45it
02:45going buddy so this whole across tube here is compromised we'd be looking at maybe two days
02:51down time to replace this tube here and that tube there there's no way parker's going to let us turn
02:56this wash plant off for any length of time so price pop those screens out welder up the best you
03:02can
03:02hopefully it's got enough life left in it to get to the end here oh yeah if you look at
03:07the gold prices
03:07right now every one of these mine bosses has the same mentality dude crank them up as hard as you
03:12can
03:12get as much material through them to get as much gold yeah for sure thanks buddy take care mitch
03:23okay that's the guy right there the one i'm after let the music begin
03:31i love my job this is one of the worst tracks that i've seen on the plant that we've actually
03:39kept running
03:43track just keeps going
03:55oh damn it are you still in there oh
04:08hey matt hey i've uh hurt my foot pretty bad i need some medical attention here
04:15it's on this way man it's coming up to you okay thank you
04:27you all right up there buddy i'm hanging in there matt let's see that thing
04:36does that hurt pretty good it hurts beautifully yeah i thought so a four thousand degree piece of
04:43molten metal flew into alex boot searing his flesh causing second degree burns
04:51all right i'm gonna flush it with this and
04:55look at this burn dressing on there definitely clean that out really well when you get home
05:02yes melted my sock real good put like antiseptic gel on it we'll just keep working i guess
05:09gold star for you buddy yeah right well that's happy to help thanks matt see ya there's no one
05:18else here to do this or to help me so just suck it up and keep working oh foot patched
05:25up alec gets
05:27back to welding roxanne and with roxanne back on her feet the crew have a fighting chance of hitting
05:3410 000 ounces by the end of the week all the welding is done i'm just reassembling the top deck
05:43and get ready to start sluicing here
05:51fire in the broxanne here we go
06:03let's get sluicing
06:18how's your foot doing man i don't feel it right now whatever matt did's really working good
06:23well matt thanks for being a trooper there and just patching it up and buckling down and getting
06:28it finished what do you think man will last a week that's a million dollar question right there
06:35no warranty no guarantee but fingers crossed great job buddy we're washing rocks
06:54well here we go last bucket pay vegas valley
07:08um it's not really it's not really a good thing this is our last chance that we got to treat
07:13it that
07:13way it'd be our last chance you know in the yukon ever while parker chases down 10 000 ounces rick
07:21ness
07:21has only just edged past 1 000 his roller coaster ride of a season has seen him expand his ground
07:29and
07:29become flush with claims but red tape and bad luck have backed him into a corner and his weary crew
07:37are
07:37battling to reach 1800 ounces to earn their bonuses and secure their future this has been the coldest morning
07:45we've had so far had to fall up runs real quick before we could fire up once you see that
07:52you know
07:53that winter's coming now rick's new vegas valley cut has run out of pay much quicker than he expected
08:00not only is the weather starting to creep in but i mean our paypal's dwindling fast and it's only a
08:06matter of time i mean we're down to days and weeks now with just two weeks left to get over
08:13700
08:14ounces rick is hoping for a massive final payday from vegas valley to take the stress off his new
08:22cut the last chance the easy option right now would be to pack it up you know lick our wounds
08:28go home
08:28but now we've got a pivot we have to move on that that's why i made the decision to you
08:34know open up
08:35this new last chance cut i don't think anybody's that excited about opening up a new cut this late in
08:40the
08:40season but we need more gold and then that's where it's going to be at duncan creek rick wants to
08:47keep
08:47following the vegas valley pay streak upstream and plans to move north opening the one acre last chance
08:55cut before stripping can begin the area must first be drained by digging a channel to release the water
09:04river into the mined out vegas valley while it's draining rick will clear a ridge of trees and loose
09:11rocks to make the cut safe to work in finally rick's crew must then dig down 40 feet to hit
09:20the top of the
09:20gold rich pay layer he's praying will save his season and he wants it all done before the last of
09:28his stockpiled pay runs out
09:34you got a copy there bailey yeah go ahead ricky what do you figure that you're ready to cut this
09:38water
09:38through yeah i think we should be good to go all right well just make sure you take it easy
09:45sounds good
09:52the water over there we got to cut it through the bank over here we're going to slowly just crack
09:56it down there and let it uh let that water run out and dry out our new cut
10:07there it goes
10:12how's she looking bud looks nice and slow to me i like it yeah it looks like it's a good
10:16pace
10:19all right well yeah we'll just let it drain for a bit then we'll uh get back to digging
10:23sounds good man vegas valley is done and uh it's very late in the season but
10:28we got another cut to open up and we wanted 1800 ounces and uh this is the first step
10:33so we're moving on
10:38to help him on his quest to open the last chance rick hops into the rebuilt 700.
10:46the 700 has been down you know the bulk of the season here this is our second biggest excavator
10:51to have it back now is a big deal so we'll be getting the last chance cut open up in
10:56no time
10:57after the 700 broke down earlier in the year rick spent 50 grand on a complete engine rebuild
11:04and can finally put it to work for the first time this season these trees are really close to the
11:10edge
11:10right at the top of the last chance cut then once i get these trees you know move back i'll
11:15be feel
11:15a hell of a lot better about barely being underneath that's where the pay is then moving closer to the
11:19bank there they go wrong way i enjoyed that one center over the edge you feel pretty tough with a
11:28chainsaw knocking trees down but that's nothing compared to knocking trees down with a 70 ton excavator
11:36i can't have them falling down i was trying to get some work put the tree
11:46damn it oh i saw oil squirt too
11:55yeah
11:59oh he definitely got hydraulic leak
12:04hey ryan hey man can you meet me up by the 700 i uh i hooked the tree with the
12:09hydraulic line
12:11all right thanks
12:14just got this thing back running
12:23hey man what's up oh it looks like a seal pretty i i hooked it on tree line and
12:30i heard something i heard something hissed and then i saw some spray so at least it's not the hose
12:35yeah yeah that needs to be fixed let me grab my glasses
12:51oh that's why i hate this
12:56just let loose like that stupid bull
13:15mechanic ryan kent has been hit in the face with hydraulic fluid while fixing rick's 700 excavator
13:25so you got hit in the face man that's fine let's just get it done
13:34yeah it'll spit that seal right out yeah you can see it it's damaged
13:39it's taking the coupler off it holds the hydraulic lines right now
13:42you can see where the o-ring actually pushed out it might already been loose who knows but i know
13:47with me hitting it on the tree didn't help it so all right slide it
13:55so there's your two different seals this one's just seen her days pull it out and then we'll just
14:01slide it in just tighten these bolts down and should be able to get it right back in action
14:08start it up yeah make sure we're not going to leak okay
14:13if it doesn't leak we're business
14:22it looks good good good to go yeah nice man
14:30got no leaks
14:34everything seems back to normal we got lucky with this one we are back in business
14:57it's getting late in the day the weather is holding up so we're going to try to keep all four
15:02plans
15:02going if that is the case we'll likely hit 10 000 ounces by the end of the week
15:07that they say is something that i've never done in 40 years of mining
15:13tony do you copy tony could you come have a look at the corner cut with me
15:18i'm on my way tony beats has already banked more than 35 million dollars and after his bumper
15:271 000 ounce gold haul last week the king of the klondike is in striking distance of 10 000 ounces
15:36and edging in front of parker but there's a problem how's your looking mike
15:43this corner cut is uh almost done so um we got to figure something out because we don't want to
15:50run
15:50out of pay
15:53so we're not going to have enough for the season there then huh doesn't look like it
16:03let's come up with a plan so that we can run both plants till the end the early bird cut
16:09it pretty
16:09good in the beginning but it might be an option move one plant over there see if there's anything
16:16that we can strip and still sluice the gold price as is today we got to keep on going until
16:21the bitter end
16:22why not what the hell right on the indian river tony has opened up more ground than ever before
16:30and he's reaped the rewards his twin wash plants running in the massive corner cut have consistently
16:39delivered huge gold waves but now its pay is running out and he has to go in search of another
16:47rich spot
16:48tony will start his treasure hunt next to some of his richest ground of the year
16:53the early bird cut where he's praying the gold rich pay continues
17:01we are a little bit of a fishing expedition
17:06i'm gonna go and poke around see if i can get it down to ground
17:12i mean down there i don't know what that is looks like gravel let's see if that it's gonna continue
17:25whoa what the is happening
17:27i got lucky there taking here for 15 minutes and i'm running into some nice travel
17:37so it's pretty much a no-brainer to get the hell in here i mean it is laying right there
17:42in front of
17:43you gravels a light brown dirt with small rocks are a strong indication there's good gold here
17:51and tony's found some just six feet below the surface we're gonna strip this out because i like to have
17:58this down by pay by the end of the week
18:03okay guys somebody bring that 950 over here and they bring me two trucks make sure one of them is
18:12the 50 tonner to strip the early bird extension quicker and avoid shutting down a plant tony brings
18:18in his monster 950 excavator capable of moving 10 tons of dirt with every bucket three buckets two
18:27truckload bingo you make something happening that way and to shift all that dirt fast an a40 rock truck
18:34and his new toy the a50 with its seven ton increase in payload today tony got me in the a50
18:43for the first
18:43time it's awesome man like it just looks so futuristic you know he wants to cut down to pay by
18:51the end of the
18:51week do you see me just back underneath me barion the bigger the truck the bigger the load the more
19:02you get done
19:06i'll just throw a fourth one in it just for good measure what's one more right power load this ball
19:16this 50 ton truck seems to take another bucket full maybe i'll buy more 50 ton trucks hey that's an
19:24idea
19:28there's a lot of dirt in the back of the truck like it's crazy
19:45so tony's so keen to get the dirt out of here he's overloading me
19:56it's too heavy like it was at 66 tons so it couldn't dump
20:03now why is that 50 tonner coming back
20:08hey darien why are you coming back with a full load
20:23i can't dump it's too heavy
20:25rushing to get his new cut down to pay tony has overfilled darien's 50 ton rock truck
20:33it's white it's too heavy to dump i can't dump it
20:39it goes back there with the truck and face it downhill and then it'll dump
20:44okay
20:51yeah dump it like that darien that's important
20:57there you go take one
21:01he's a smart guy you see he knows all the tricks if tony can get his new cut stripped and
21:07down to pay by
21:08the end of the week he'll be back on track to hit 10 000 ounces the corner cut could be
21:15done in a week
21:16i want to have this cut ready if it turns out good then we just keep on sluicing until the
21:23very end
21:37i thought we'd have 10 000 ounces by now but um
21:44it's proving to be a bit elusive we need to push those wash plants a hell of a lot harder
21:50in a herculean effort to get 430 ounces and hit 10 000 by the end of the week
21:58parker is pushing his crew and wash plants hard
22:03with parker's decision to run the absolute piss out of the wash plants so we can hit our gold total
22:10i got big red running a little hot
22:14so it's definitely putting a lot of stress on the plants and whatnot but you know
22:19it's not my call i'm just here to do my job and keep parker happy
22:35oh
22:36Oh, .
22:39Don't stop.
22:54Liam, Alec, you got a copy?
22:57Yeah, go for Liam.
22:58Hey, man, I'm going to need you to come up to Big Red.
23:12John, what happened?
23:13The radio stacker quit on me, buddy.
23:16Oh, it looks like we got a super slimy belt here.
23:20It gives no friction to the belt.
23:22So when it makes its way up to the head drum,
23:25the head drum will just spin there.
23:28Why we're getting so much mud on the inside of the conveyor.
23:32Maybe it's just not coming in far enough.
23:34Yeah, we need a bit more overlap,
23:37like from this head drum into this rock box,
23:40so the material doesn't stack up here.
23:42This hopper is buried in material left and right.
23:45So what do you think?
23:46We got to move the radial stacker back?
23:48Yeah, we have hydraulics on this.
23:50I can just run the hydraulics a bit
23:52and sort of like inchworm it back a bit.
23:54How do you inchworm a radial stacker?
23:58The stacker is going to have to be up in the air.
24:00And then as long as the axle end,
24:02which is usually planted with those power wheels,
24:05was free to come towards this plate,
24:09the radial stacker would effectively move backwards.
24:12And now it's top heavy and unsettled.
24:15If it wants to roll away with the conveyor up like that,
24:17like who's to say it's not going to fall over to?
24:18It's definitely risky.
24:21Pay dirt from Big Red's hopper conveyor
24:24is getting under the wash plant's radial stacker
24:27and coating the inside of its belt,
24:29which is then traveling up to the drive pulley's head drum,
24:34making it slip, stopping pay from being fed into the plant.
24:40Moving the hopper feeder's conveyor forward would solve the problem,
24:44but it would require time and an excavator they don't have.
24:49Alec's quick but risky fix is to inch the 120-foot radial stacker back by 3 inches
24:56so it sits further underneath the feeder conveyor,
25:00stopping the pay getting under the belt.
25:03First, he'll raise the top end of the radial stacker up
25:08and use its weight to generate downforce onto the axle.
25:12Then, by lifting the axle's gull-wing brake wheels off the ground,
25:18he hopes to inch the stacker back towards the feeder conveyor.
25:22But if he loses control, it could topple over and cause a disaster.
25:29Have you ever done this before?
25:31This is completely experimental.
25:32Seems like the only option we got.
25:34Let's give it a go.
25:35See what happens.
25:36Alright.
25:43So let's call that our line in the sand there, yeah.
25:46If it goes south, well, it was nice knowing you.
25:48Yeah, you too, buddy.
25:49Alrighty.
25:50I'm pulling up the wheels here, so maybe stand back a little bit.
25:55It's a little nerve-wracking.
25:57As soon as he lifts those gull-wings up,
25:59there could be a possibility where it tips completely over,
26:02so we're putting our prayers to the gods right now.
26:06Okay, that's off.
26:08Okay.
26:09Other side's also off.
26:11Okay.
26:12Now the exciting part.
26:16Oh my God.
26:18It's moving so much.
26:22I'm raising up the radio stacker now with the gull-wings off the ground.
26:28And these wheels are moving slowly, which is letting me know that we are indeed checking our progress.
26:39All right.
26:40My heart's in my throat right now, watching this thing move back and forth, knowing that it could top blow
26:46over.
26:49All right.
26:49Got like half an inch.
26:54All right.
26:55We got our height.
26:55Then I'm going to lower the stacker, which should increase the distance.
27:02That's good.
27:04The gull-wings back on the ground here.
27:11As for level side to side, do you figure we're pretty good?
27:16It looks pretty good to me.
27:17Okay.
27:18Yeah.
27:18We got the weight back on the stabilizer legs.
27:20I can roll these dually.
27:22So I'm just going to go say hi to brother John and see if we've moved the amount we need
27:26to.
27:27What did we end up getting, John?
27:30Yeah, three, three and a half.
27:33As long as the material doesn't pile up here, it shouldn't get into the belt.
27:37It shouldn't get with stuff up there.
27:38Yep.
27:39So let's fire up.
27:40Great job, guys.
27:41Great job.
27:41Woo!
27:49Oh, this is a stacker.
27:55Let's get it.
28:00Woo!
28:05It's looking a lot better for where the material's landing.
28:09The plan has helped a lot.
28:11Are we winning?
28:13Looks like it's running really good.
28:14Nice.
28:17We got Big Red running again.
28:20Everything's running smooth.
28:21And now the main focus is to keep the wash plants running and hit our 10,000-ounce goal.
28:39It looks like a mess, huh?
28:42That's a lot of water, isn't it?
28:43Yeah, that doesn't look funny at all.
28:45You can't with this water and that kind of mud.
28:49Determined to reach 10,000 ounces this week, Tony is racing to get down to pay in an extension to
28:57the early bird cut.
28:58But his stripping crew have hit ground water, flooding the cut and making it unminable.
29:07Well, do we pump it or that's it?
29:10Well, why don't we do both?
29:12Make it this, put it in the culvert, put it in the pump, get the water down in the old
29:16ponds, get it over it.
29:19Let's sing.
29:20Get the new guy over there.
29:22Hey, Sean, do you copy? Sean, do you copy?
29:24Can you get over there, please?
29:25Okay.
29:26We need to do some ditching over there to get over there, would you?
29:29Let's clean this up.
29:33To drain the flooded cut, Tony will dig a ditch through the road, which lies between his new extension and
29:41an already mined out section of the early bird cut.
29:45Then, install a culvert and pump that will drain flood water from the new cut into the old cut.
29:54Finally, rebuild the road and get his plan to hit paydirt by the end of the week back on track.
30:03So what I'm at, Sean doing here now.
30:06It's just a little bit of water maintenance that we got going on over here.
30:10You know how new guys are, you got to test them out.
30:14He looks to be doing just fine to me.
30:18It's my first day working for Tony Beats out in the Yukon and very first time ever gold mining.
30:26Still a bit nervous, but we're getting there.
30:29If you don't have tough skin, you're not ready for this industry.
30:39Sean, Sean, Sean, Sean, Sean, stop.
30:43Look at me!
30:46Shut her down for a minute.
30:50Holy , what a mess.
30:53Full of dirt.
30:56You got to be careful digging it out of here.
30:58You don't rip your electrical apart.
31:01It's not good.
31:04Sean, you just leave this here.
31:05Go get that 349 and you can just keep ditching with that and then we can get this machine fixed.
31:11Sounds good.
31:16Operator error, right there.
31:18You should have been able to see it in the mirror here.
31:20Idiot.
31:22Every minute of downtime is no good because it all equates to lost gold.
31:29This is going to drop.
31:34There she goes.
31:38Sean's in the 349.
31:40Hopefully he doesn't that up at all.
31:42Here's Tony.
31:50That panel's off to 700.
31:59I'll get out and talk to you.
32:03So that panel's off to 700.
32:06Who is that?
32:07That and Sean guy.
32:08The new one?
32:09Yeah.
32:10We should go home for a day for that one.
32:12Yeah.
32:13Make your life easier.
32:14Yes, sir.
32:15Beep beep.
32:19After sending rookie operator Sean home, Tony takes over in the 349 to finish the ditch and install the culvert.
32:29They send the operator home for the day because, same story as always, if you want to drop right, I
32:37guess you have to do it yourself.
32:40So let's grab the culvert out.
32:43Let's grab the culvert.
32:44We don't have enough time left this season to f*** around, so we've got to get going.
32:53That thing guy put me must have it.
32:58That'd be good enough.
33:00We'll f*** around there for whatever.
33:03All right, this don't happen to feel like it.
33:07You want me to grab that pump?
33:09Yes, please.
33:10Because they're running around in the foot and water down there.
33:16In just 90 minutes, Tony has got his new cut drying out.
33:22And he's back in the chase to catch Parker.
33:31Looks pretty damn good.
33:32It looks to me that there's going to be plenty of pay to keep on going.
33:52It's definitely a big race here, trying to get down to that pay as quick as we can, keep that
33:57plant running.
33:59And the plant shuts down, you know, completely freeze and we won't be able to fire up the plant again.
34:04Rick and his crew are battling to hit pay in their new cut, A Last Chance, before the stockpile from
34:10Vegas Valley runs out and they are forced to shut down Monster Red.
34:15Yeah, looks like we got a scoop or two left here.
34:19It's not good.
34:22The pay pile is dwindling pretty quick here.
34:25I don't even know if it's a pile anymore.
34:29Bailey, you got a copy?
34:32Go ahead for Bailey.
34:34Hey, we're almost, uh, we're getting pretty low on pay here.
34:38You got any kind of time frame when you think you're going to get any up to the plant?
34:42Well, I don't know how low it is, but it's going to be a couple of days on my end
34:47before I can send anything.
34:51We don't got a couple of days left up here.
34:53We'll end up having to shut it down.
34:56Yes, that's it.
34:57You know, nothing that we can do here.
35:03Here we go.
35:04Last bucket of pay.
35:06Going to the plant now.
35:16That's it.
35:17That's all we got.
35:27We shut it down now.
35:29There's nothing else to run.
35:31Shut it down today and hopefully it's not for the last time this season.
35:34If freezing winter temperatures arrive before they hit pay in the last chance, Monster Red will be too frozen to
35:43fire up, putting even more pressure on this week's Goldway.
35:49It's always impossible to tell just when we're pulling mats how good it's going to be.
35:54We need it to be great, so fingers crossed we can find greatness to save this season.
36:03Bailey's still a couple days away from pay.
36:05If the weather decides to change and freeze up, we're going to be in trouble.
36:10We get a couple more good cleanups and we're set.
36:13I mean, the gold is really good right now.
36:15We'll hit 1,800 to get out of here with these guys getting what they earned and us coming back
36:19next year.
36:21Hopefully we get a few more good days and we get to run again, but who knows.
36:42Oh, hi.
36:43Hey, Rick.
36:43Hey, Rick.
36:46Holy Rick, that looks like a lot of gold.
36:48Yeah, so that's the last of the gold from Vegas Valley though.
36:52It's a shame we don't have any more to put.
36:54That's where we're at.
36:56It'd be easy to go home, but you know, we'd be f***ing next year.
36:59Your bonuses and the future of this company.
37:01That's basically what we're fighting for right now.
37:04Alright, let's weigh some gold.
37:06Let's do it.
37:07Find out how we did.
37:08Last week, Rick and his crew pulled 430 ounces of gold.
37:14Their biggest haul ever.
37:15But they are still more than 700 ounces short of the 1,800 Rick needs to pay their bonus and
37:24secure his mining future.
37:26Ready?
37:27Well, 200.
37:30Yeah.
37:32And we'll see what we add to that.
37:35Here she comes.
37:37Ready?
37:37Okay.
37:4110, 20, 30, 35, 50, 58, 59, 69, 80, 90, 97, 98, 102.27.
37:56Nice.
37:58302.27.
37:59302.27.
38:01Yeah.
38:01Nice.
38:02Nice f***ing number.
38:03Sweet.
38:03Worth $1,148,000.
38:09So what's that?
38:10That puts us at 1,379.65.
38:13Making up ground quick.
38:15Yeah.
38:16Rick needs 420 more ounces to hit 1,800 and send everyone home with gold.
38:23But he still hasn't hit pay in the last chance cut.
38:28You know what I mean?
38:28Weather's changing.
38:29Yeah.
38:29We're down right now, not running.
38:31You shut it down, you might never start it back up.
38:33Yeah.
38:34Next week, this could be snow.
38:36What's the challenges at the end of the year, man?
38:38Oh, yeah.
38:38Honestly, all we need is a little luck with the weather, because I know you can get to the
38:41bottom of that cut.
38:41I know we can get that pay run.
38:43Yeah.
38:43We just need a bit of time.
38:45Well, I say cheers to Bailey.
38:47Oh, yeah.
38:52It's all on you.
38:53Thanks, guys.
38:54Thanks, guys.
38:57Well, that's another good gold way.
38:58I mean, when we get the plant running, we make up ground quick.
39:01You know, it's good ground.
39:02We just have to fight hard to get to it.
39:04And right now, it's all in the last chance cut.
39:20Hello.
39:22Hi.
39:23Hello.
39:24How are you guys?
39:26Nice coffee cup.
39:28That's a huge-sized coffee cup.
39:31The corner cut's pretty big, but it's looking a little empty.
39:34Yeah, it does.
39:36We are, uh, scratching the last bit out of it.
39:39We still got some pay left in the early bird cut.
39:42I would really love to take that out there, too, but with the price of gold right now,
39:47we're pretty silly to quit.
39:49How's things going on the hill?
39:51Harold literally is, like, no headache.
39:53When I go through that thing, it's like, you lift up the hydraulic riffle, and you just
39:57see gold everywhere.
39:58Nothing wrong with that.
40:00Trauma's been running 24-7.
40:01That plant...
40:03Just eats, does it?
40:04...eats it.
40:04It's called the Trom-Nom-Nom-Nom.
40:08Hey, Monica, should we weigh some gold?
40:10Yes.
40:11Who wants to start counting?
40:13I'll count.
40:14The Beetz family need more than 700 ounces to reach 10,000.
40:20So this is Sluice-A-Lot.
40:22Okay.
40:26Sluice-A-Lot has been running the last of the pay in the corner cut.
40:30100, 130, 140, 150, 180, 190, 192.42.
40:42It was a little bit less than the last time.
40:44How come?
40:45I mean, we're getting to the end of the cut, and then we're starting to pick a leftover.
40:49I think that'll basically have something to do with it.
40:53So this is for Find-A-Lot.
40:55All right.
40:56Find-A-Lot has also been churning through the remaining corner cut pay.
41:0170, 80, 90, 110, 120, 140, 160, 180, 182.06.
41:12Well, not as good as last week.
41:17This one is a little bit lower, too.
41:18Same stuff, same cut.
41:20Right.
41:20Same stuff, same cut.
41:21I mean, it's not that we run any more or less.
41:24Tony's twin plants at Indian River bring his total to just over 9,640 ounces.
41:33Well, that was all the Indian River gold, it's time for Hill gold.
41:37Let's see what Harold's got.
41:4010, 20, 30, 40...
41:42Harold has been running pay from the Hester cut.
41:4590, 101, 101, 30, 32.60.
41:52Less gold is the last time.
41:55It might have just ran into a patch.
41:56It might have ended up just getting diluted
41:58because we're running through whatever is there.
42:00With three of his wash plants
42:02delivering less gold than last week,
42:05Tony is still more than 200 ounces short of 10,000.
42:12This is from the trommel.
42:14Yep.
42:19Nice.
42:21All right, Mike, can you see?
42:23Yeah, go for it.
42:2810, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90.
42:34150, 160, 200, 220, 230, 240, 250, 260, 280, 290, 310, 330, 340, 350, 370, 380, 390, 400, 410, 420,
42:49430.
42:55There you go.
42:56That's what you do.
42:57The Beats family passed 10,000 ounces for the first time ever with a total of 10,212,
43:06worth over $38,800,000.
43:13That's actually pretty good.
43:14Yeah, that's a pretty big thing.
43:17That's a lot of money.
43:18That's a lot of bucks, Mike.
43:20I said, that's $2 million on the table.
43:23Yeah, I've been running 24-7, man.
43:25Yeah, that's pretty awesome.
43:27We could do that for a while, couldn't we?
43:30So, we did over 10,000 ounces.
43:35We've never done so much in a season.
43:38Okay.
43:3810,000 ounces, that's pretty nice.
43:40That doesn't mean we're going to quit.
43:43I think I can beat Parker.
43:45Let's go to the bitter end, guys.
43:47It means no use quitting while you're ahead.
43:49That's the game, right?
43:50Okay, gentlemen, we'll get some more.
43:53Okay?
43:54Okay.
43:55It's not a bad summary.
44:03What up?
44:06Not saying it was a rough day, but that's our second cup.
44:10Parker and his crew have produced more than 9,500 ounces of gold this season and need just
44:18over 430 to hit his 10,000-ounce gold.
44:23Man, we've thrown a lot of rocks at those plants this year.
44:25It's getting rough out there trying to keep those plants going.
44:28We found some big cracks in Roxanne this week.
44:31It shows down here when you guys have problems out there.
44:35It's week is what you're saying.
44:39If we don't hit our 10,000-ounce gold, it's because the plant breakdowns.
44:44And I know you guys are putting a lot of dirt through them, so there is going to be
44:48wear and tear.
44:49Just got to keep them going.
44:50We're running out of time.
44:52We're running out of time real quick.
44:54Yeah, it's starting to get pretty cold.
44:55Yeah.
44:57This, I think, would be the key week if we don't get some good numbers.
45:02So, we can throw some gold on the scale and see how we did.
45:05Yeah, let's do it.
45:07All right.
45:08We got the bridge cut.
45:10Here we go.
45:14Wash plant Bob has been averaging 147 ounces a week in the bridge cut.
45:21120, 127.35.
45:25Not bad.
45:27Okay, Mitchell.
45:28Let's see what Roxanne can add to it.
45:30We got 40.
45:32Roxanne has been sluicing pay from pit two at Parker's Indian River claim.
45:37Come on.
45:39Come on.
45:39Keep going.
45:39120.
45:42133.9.
45:44Nice.
45:45There you go.
45:47So, what are we looking for here?
45:48We need a little over, what, 200 to hit our target?
45:51200, yeah.
45:52Yeah.
45:53So, this is the golden mile.
45:55We got a couple of them here.
45:57Ready?
45:57Yeah.
45:58See how Goose and Big Red did.
46:00Got 40, 80, 120, 130, 140, don't slow down, doom it.
46:10There we go.
46:11200.
46:12Sick.
46:14220, 258.15.
46:17Yeah!
46:18Woo!
46:19That's awesome.
46:21Hey!
46:22Good job, guys.
46:25For the first time ever, Parker has hit 10,000 ounces in a season worth an incredible $38,341,000.
46:38Good job, Todd.
46:41I was rinsing the tank from the golden goose.
46:44I found the weirdest thing.
46:48The goose laid its first egg, you guys.
46:51Exactly one ounce.
46:53There you go.
46:55We got our golden egg for 259.15.
47:00That's cool.
47:01That's actually hilarious.
47:03Last week we had 627.25 ounces.
47:09This week, 520.4 for a season total of 10,089.85 ounces.
47:20Sick.
47:21Nice.
47:22We did it.
47:22Good job, guys.
47:23And, you know, we've got a little bit of time left in the season, so I think we should
47:28just keep sleuthing.
47:30And, you know, we had a 10,000-ounce goal last year, too, and didn't hit it, so let's make
47:35up for a little lost time.
47:37Keep at her.
47:38But thank you, guys.
47:39Yeah.
47:40Thank you, man.
47:41With just one week to go, Parker now trails Tony by 120 ounces.
47:48I do like smashing through goals, and it's a very cool milestone for us.
47:53So, we'll just, we'll keep going and see what happens.
48:01I'll be right back to you.
48:01I won't be right back to you.
48:01I'll be right back.
48:01I'll be right back.
