00:00Residents from the building, although that loss of life is very tragic and we mourn their loss,
00:07the loss could have been much, much greater if not for the heroic efforts of our firefighters
00:13and EMS personnel. People were trapped in that building. People were hanging out of windows.
00:18Our personnel arrived in approximately three and a half minutes and that fire was well advanced by
00:24the time they arrived. The reason why we believe that that fire was advanced is because the doors
00:30were left open inside the building. The door was left open to the fire department, the door was left
00:35open to the front of the building and the door was left open to the bulkhead, which is the exit
00:40to the
00:40roof. If not for those doors being open, we believe that the fire may have even been contained in that
00:48one apartment and we would not have lost anybody in that fire.
