01:01How do you find peace in God when the storm is raging?
01:06Before we answer that, let us invite the true source of peace into this room.
01:12Heavenly Father, we come before you,
01:14acknowledging that you are the author of peace and not of confusion.
01:20Lord, as we open your word today,
01:23I ask that your Holy Spirit would sweep through every home watching this broadcast.
01:29Quiet the chaos in our minds,
01:32still the storms in our hearts.
01:34Let your supernatural peace,
01:36the peace that only you can give,
01:38rest upon us right now.
01:39In the mighty and holy name of Jesus,

01:44Stay with me today because I'm going to give you the proven biblical keys to walking in absolute peace.
01:53We are going to look at what the word of God actually says about peace
01:58and how the name of Jesus is the ultimate weapon against the chaos of this world.
02:04To find peace in a chaotic world,
02:07we first have to understand what true peace is.
02:10The world tells you that peace is just the absence of noise.
02:15The world says peace is taking a vacation to get away from the chaos.
02:21But biblical peace is entirely different.
02:25Biblical peace is not the absence of chaos.
02:28Biblical peace is the presence of Jesus Christ in the middle of the chaos.
02:35Let me show you this in the ancient Hebrew language.
02:38In Isaiah chapter 26, verse 3,
02:42the prophet writes,
02:43You will keep him in perfect peace,
02:46whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.
02:50In the original Hebrew text,
02:53the phrase for perfect peace is shalom shalom.
02:56The word shalom in Hebrew means wholeness,
03:01completeness, health, and tranquility.
03:04It means nothing broken and nothing missing.
03:08By repeating it, shalom shalom,
03:11God is promising a double portion of peace.
03:14God is saying,
03:16I will give you a peace so deep and a peace so profound
03:20that the chaos of the world cannot touch it.
03:24When you trust in the Lord,
03:26you receive this shalom,
03:28how do we see this peace in action?
03:31Look at the life of Jesus.
03:33In Mark chapter 4,
03:35Jesus and his disciples are in a boat on the Sea of Galilee.
03:40Suddenly,
03:41a massive life-threatening storm arises.
03:44The wind is howling.
03:46The waves are crashing into the boat.
03:48Total, absolute chaos.
03:50The disciples are terrified.
03:52They are panicking because they are focused on the chaos.
03:56But where is Jesus?
03:58The Bible says Jesus was in the stern of the boat,
04:02asleep on a pillow.
04:03Jesus had perfect peace in the middle of perfect chaos.
04:09The disciples woke him up,
04:11crying out in fear.
04:12And what did Jesus do?
04:14He didn't panic.
04:16He stood up,
04:17looked at the chaos,
04:17and spoke to it.
04:19He said three words,
04:20peace,
04:21be still.
04:23And immediately,
04:25the wind ceased,
04:26and there was a great calm.
04:28The chaos had to bow down to the Prince of Peace.
04:31If you want peace in your life today,
04:34you have to realize that
04:36Jesus Christ has the authority
04:38to look at the chaos in your finances
04:41and say,
04:42peace,
04:42be still.
04:44He can look at the military wars
04:46and rumors of wars
04:47and say,

04:50He can look at the anxiety
04:52tearing your mind apart
04:53in the middle of the night
04:54and say,
04:55peace,
04:56be still.

06:03The same peace
06:04that allowed him
06:05to sleep in a hurricane
06:07is the peace
06:08he is handing
06:09to you right now.
06:11But how do you keep
06:12this peace
06:13when the chaos
06:14gets loud?
06:15The Apostle Paul
06:17gives us the answer
06:18in Philippians chapter 4,
06:20verse 7.
06:21He says,
06:22And the peace of God,
06:24which surpasses
06:25all understanding,
06:27will guard your hearts
06:28and minds
06:29and minds
06:30through Christ Jesus.
06:31Let me give you
06:33another revelation
06:34from the original language.
06:36The word for guard
06:37in the Greek New Testament
06:39is phureo.
06:41This word phureo
06:43means to mount
06:44a military garrison
06:46or to stand
06:47as a military sentinel.
06:50Think about the power
06:51of that word.
06:52When the military wars
06:54of this world
06:55cause chaos,
06:57God mounts
06:57a spiritual military guard
06:59over your mind.
07:01The peace of God
07:02becomes a heavily armed guard
07:04at the door
07:05of your heart,
07:06refusing to let
07:07the chaos enter.
07:08We see this peace
07:10guarding the great men
07:11of the Bible.
07:12Think of Daniel.
07:14He was thrown
07:15into a den
07:15of hungry lions.
07:17That is total chaos.
07:19But Daniel served El Roy,
07:21the Hebrew name
07:23for the God
07:24who sees me.
07:26Daniel had perfect peace
07:27in the lion's den
07:28because the peace of God
07:30was guarding him.
07:32Think of Job.
07:33His entire life
07:34fell into catastrophe
07:35and chaos.
07:37He lost everything.
07:38But Job found peace
07:40by declaring,
07:41I know that my Goel lives.
07:44In Hebrew,
07:45Goel means redeemer.
07:47Job found peace
07:48because he knew
07:50his redeemer
07:50was greater than his chaos.
07:53The Bible is overflowing
07:55with promises of peace.
07:57Psalm 119 verse 165 says,
08:02Great peace have those
08:03who love your law
08:05and nothing causes them
08:06to stumble.
08:08Colossians 3 verse 15
08:10commands us,
08:11Let the peace of God
08:12rule in your hearts.
08:14The word rule there
08:16means to act as an umpire.
08:18When chaos and fear
08:20try to play a game
08:22in your mind,
08:23the peace of God
08:24steps in like an umpire
08:25and says,
08:26You are out.
08:27Peace rules here.
08:302 Thessalonians 3 verse 16 says,
08:33Now may the Lord
08:34of peace himself
08:35give you peace
08:37always in every way.
08:39Not just sometimes.
08:41Always in every way.

08:45chaotic event.
08:47I want you to rest
08:49in this peace right now.
08:50Let us go deeper
08:52into the mystery
08:53of this peace.
08:54The Bible doesn't just say
08:56God gives peace.
08:57It says,
08:57He is our peace.
09:00In Judges chapter 6,
09:02Gideon was in a state
09:03of absolute national chaos.
09:06His people were hiding
09:07in caves,
09:08oppressed by military force,
09:10starving,
09:11and terrified.
09:13In the middle of that chaos,
09:15the Lord appeared to him.
09:17And Gideon built an altar
09:19and called it
09:20Jehovah Shalom.
09:22Think about that.
09:24He didn't wait for the war
09:25to end
09:26before he called God
09:27peace.
09:28He declared that
09:30the Lord is peace
09:31while the enemy
09:32was still in the land.
09:35This is the secret
09:36to overcoming
09:37the chaos
09:38of our modern world.
09:40You must build
09:41an altar of peace
09:42in your heart
09:44before the bank account
09:45is full,
09:46before the doctor
09:47gives the good report,
09:48and before the world
09:50stops fighting.
09:52You find peace
09:53by recognizing
09:54that Jesus Christ
09:55is the anchor

10:00The word peace
10:02appears hundreds of times
10:03in the scriptures
10:04because God knows
10:06our minds are prone
10:07to wander
10:08into the chaos.
10:10Psalm 29 verse 11 says,
10:12The Lord will give strength
10:14to his people.
10:15The Lord will bless
10:17his people
10:17with peace.
10:19Notice the order.
10:21First strength,
10:22then peace.
10:23God gives you
10:25the strength to stand,
10:26and then he settles
10:27your soul
10:28in his peace.
10:29In the New Testament,
10:31we see this peace
10:32in the life
10:33of the Apostle Paul.
10:34He was beaten,
10:36shipwrecked,
10:37and imprisoned.
10:38If anyone had a reason
10:40to be in a state of chaos,
10:42it was Paul.
10:43But from a cold prison cell,
10:45he wrote,
10:46Let the peace of God
10:48rule in your hearts.
10:50The word rule
10:51in the original Greek
10:52is brabibou.
10:54It means to act
10:55as an umpire
10:56or a referee.
10:58When a chaotic thought
10:59enters your mind,
11:01the peace of Jesus Christ
11:02acts as the umpire.
11:03It blows the whistle
11:05on fear.
11:06It says out
11:08to anxiety.
11:09It keeps the game
11:11of your life
11:11in divine order.
11:13How do we practically
11:14walk in this peace today?
11:16We do it through
11:18the name of Jesus.
11:20Every time you feel
11:21the chaos rising,
11:23whether it's from
11:23a news report
11:24or a bill in the mail,
11:26you must audibly speak
11:27the name of Jesus.
11:29That name carries
11:32the frequency
11:32of heaven.
11:34It carries the vibration
11:35of perfect peace.
11:37As you meditate
11:38on his peace,
11:40you are being automated
11:41into a state of rest.
11:43You are moving
11:44from the chaos
11:45of the world
11:46into the sanctuary
11:47of the Most High.
11:49Stay in this posture
11:51of peace.
11:52We are moving
11:53into a time
11:54of deep affirmation
11:55and sovereign prayer.
11:58Do not let the world
11:59steal what Jesus Christ

12:02on the cross.
