00:48like I think I think offensive line played itself way out of consideration last night like there was
00:53what probably 10 offensive linemen taking a couple guards shout out to Keelan Rutledge um I just
00:59think there was a number of positions that kind of took themselves out of consideration but I look
01:03at corner I look at defense tackle I think a lot of those guys are still very quality football players
01:07and you know they're in the second round consideration for a reason but man there's some there's some
01:12really good dudes available out there CJ Allen is I'm I'm I talked about him last night on the
01:20draft show CJ Allen's a guy I might run up now I don't know if that's a guy that they
01:25necessarily
01:27value I don't think they pick at 48 I'll just I'll just go ahead and say that we had this

02:49higher on anyone's board than the 29th best player and he went at 18 and then the commissioner called
02:56him a defensive end which he's also not um he can slide out there that five technique in a in

03:03four type formation but that's not that's not he's six six 330 all right he's not coming off the edge

03:09fire breather so I I don't know where this draft is really going because it's it's had no real but
03:15it did Mike's right it sets you up because there's a lot of there there's a there's a good some

03:21the the the core of the defensive tackles Caden McDonald is still on the he was Mike I use I'm
03:29shocked that he's still there I don't think there's a chance he makes it to 40 no hell he ain't

03:32to 48 but the fact that he made it to 33 yeah he wasn't supposed to be there yeah uh
03:37but CJ Allen
03:38is a guy for me Peter Woods went after uh Banks like you're talking about I mean it's yeah it's
03:43crazy and and there's no and and there's really no pass rusher in the defensive tackle field this
03:50year so to speak I think Caleb Banks might have might be one of the ones that has a better
03:54shot at
03:55just the way he the way he uh plays up front but no I mean CJ Allen's the guy that

04:01Avion Terrell sure that being the Terrell brothers you could you could move Mike Hughes back inside if
04:06you wanted if he was if he was able to um in that nickel until Billy whatever Billy Bowman will

04:19thing about this draft is there weren't as many great players as we've seen in the draft guys that
04:25come in and are great immediately there but there was a lot of good players I am curious with the
04:31news coming out yesterday about James Pierce Jr. and the charges potentially being dropped if he
04:36follows through with that six-month program is that going to change any of the plans that Ian
04:40Cunningham and crew over at Flowery Branch are going to do today I personally I think it makes it way

04:46likely that they'll that they'll draft an edge um we've talked about it the last couple weeks feel
04:51like the longer this goes the more likely it is that he is you know back with the Falcons
04:55this season at some point and they got I think his lawyer even said yesterday the best possible
04:59scenario for him yesterday is exactly what happened so yeah I'd be lying if I said I didn't think it
05:04would affect uh you know who they'll pick I think they feel a lot better about skipping out on edge

05:40what all Jalen could do what more ways we could use him and so I can't tell you that they

05:46become that they that didn't have a guy there that they thought was far and away the best player and
05:50they couldn't trade out and it was a Cassius Howell type player that they wouldn't take him and say
05:55you know what Jalen we're going to use you as a three down player you're going to be uh you're
06:00going to be an edge in certain situations and you know against the run because you're literally one
06:05of our best run defenders as a second year player off that at that position and then and then we're
06:10going to move you inside and use your athleticism and use your coverage skills and you know use you
06:16here uh on third in certain in certain or certain it's really not about the down anymore it's about
06:21the formation like it's about if you're in nickel like 70 percent of the time it you know what I
06:27mean like there's no such thing as that these are true tried and true running situations and tried
06:32and true past I think what you're saying uh formation yes but personnel wise is is yeah kind of what
06:37you're talking about yeah I completely agree with that it's it is all about matchups all about
06:41personnel it's all about you know how basically the options that you have the the ability to play
06:46multiple positions defensively is what it is all about right now because they need guys to do a
