00:02An exhilarating snowmobile ride takes us across the pond to our destination.
00:06It's very beautiful here on a mysterious pond. We're not going to tell you where.
00:11It's Joe's favorite spot.
00:13We're heading for the hot spot.
00:14Once we pull my ice shanty onto the middle of the pond, Joe shows us some of the equipment.
00:19This is our hand auger.
00:21So for a hot spot, I think maybe right over here.
00:26Yeah, it's a good cutting device.
00:27That is thick ice.
00:28And you just pop it up a couple of times.
00:35Okay.
00:36It's a little small, but this is good for jigging.
00:38Yeah.
00:38But it's not good for the big fish I'm going to catch.
00:41After we dig a second hole, we slide the shanty over the two holes and settle in for some jigging.
00:47Well, what could be more comfortable than sitting in our little shanty house, Laura and I?
00:51I can't imagine anything.
00:53Drinking a cup of coffee.
00:55Jigging is pulling it up and down and up and down.
00:59Always hoping that something is going to bite.
01:02Oh, boy.
01:03It is.
01:03We got a flag.
01:04Oh.
01:05We caught a 13 and a half inch beauty, which made all the waiting worthwhile.
01:09We'll see you later on.
01:10You can see a little bit of water with this.
01:10Bye.
