00:12Can we start with any fresh injury concerns after the City game?
00:18No, and Bukayo is probably going to be in the squad. Good news.
00:23What about Riccardo Calafiore and Durian?
00:26Probably in the squad as well.
00:27No, Durian not in the squad.
00:29Huge boost ahead of this one.
00:32You said last week, can I just go back to last week,
00:34that the reaction of the players in the dressing room,
00:37they felt even more convinced that they could create something special and win this league.
00:42What did you see then and this week that maybe has reinforced that idea within yourself?
00:47The same. The energy rates, the belief rates, I think the clarity of what we have to do.
00:52It cannot be better.
00:55Five games to go. Tomorrow, game one. All in. Let's go for it.
01:00The latest Optus Supercomputer results are out.
01:05Okay.
01:06They say Arsenal have a 65.51% chance of winning the title.
01:12What does Mikel Arteta's Supercomputer say?
01:15Win tomorrow. Game one, win, and then we will be much closer.
01:20What's the belief in your Supercomputer say?
01:24Not in the computer. I have belief in our players, in our people,
01:28and the willingness that we have to achieve what we want.
01:32Can I ask you about the – you describe this run-in now as effectively a new Premier League season.
01:38Do you feel with this new season you've got to be perfect?
01:43I don't know. It's five games to go, four weeks.
01:48Two big competitions to play for and everything to play for.
01:52I mean, if somebody would have told us at the beginning of the season we would have taken it.
01:56And we are so excited.
01:59And tomorrow is game one.
02:01If both teams were to do it and win all of their remaining five games,
02:06it's going to come down to goal difference, maybe even goals scored.
02:09With that in mind, does that change any part of your approach,
02:13maybe team selections as well, because of the fact that you might need to score more goals
02:18than just simply winning a game?
02:19Yeah, we don't know.
02:21We are just talking about a lot of possibilities.
02:24The first thing that you have to do and the right to win the game,
02:26and then win it.
02:28And then, depending on how the situation is,
02:31you can think about something else.
02:33But the priority is that you have to be better in the position
02:36and the right to win the game and win it.
02:38That's the first thing.
02:40There have been so many crazy finishes in Premier League history.
02:45There's also been one in Scotland as well, in particular.
02:48Let me take you back to 2003.
02:51I'm sure you might remember this,
02:52because Rangers and Celtic were fighting for the title.
02:57And a certain Mikel Arteta scored a win.
02:58Ah, when I was there, yeah.
03:00And the celebrations were incredible.
03:04Can you just give us an idea of what your memories are
03:07of that particular moment?
03:09And if you can bottle it and relay some of that feeling to your players?
03:14Well, yeah.
03:15We were fighting with Celtic for ten months.
03:17We got to the last kick of the game,
03:19a minute 96 at home.
03:21We needed to score a goal.
03:23And I threw the penalty.
03:25And we won the league by one goal difference.
03:28That was it.
03:29I mean, can you elaborate a little bit on the feeling that you had?
03:33It doesn't get better than that.
03:36Yeah, and it went the right way.
03:39And one of the best feelings I had in my career,
03:42because when you have to earn it so much
03:46and when everything is on the line and so undecisive,
03:51when you win it, it's even more special.
03:53You say everything on the line.
03:54Is that something that you can relate
03:56and maybe you have those emotions with your squad currently?
04:00Because everything is on the line again, isn't it?
04:03Yeah, you have to put everything into it.
04:04That's what I said.
04:05It's all in.
04:06You know, when you're going to play now,
04:08those five games that start tomorrow,
04:10everything that you have, you have to put it on the table.
04:13And you have to make it happen.
04:15That's clear.
04:16Final one from me, Michael.
04:17I'm sure you saw the news with Chelsea
04:19and the sacking of Liam Rossini up.
04:22Could I just get your reaction to that?
04:24Were you surprised?
04:25And does it make you even more grateful
04:28to be working at a club where you've shown so much support?
04:32Yeah, well, it's always sad to see a colleague leave a club
04:37and especially when we are so close to the season.
04:39At the end, the clubs are here and they try to make decisions.
04:43We know the scrutiny and the demands on our jobs.
04:47And we know that the only thing that matters at the end
04:50is winning a lot of football matches.
04:52That's it.
04:55Michael, you've used different inspirational techniques
04:58to inspire your face throughout your time at Arsenal.
05:00Will you do anything different?
05:02Have you done anything different this week
05:03to help them in the next five games?
05:05Well, every game we do something different
05:07to inspire them, to guide them,
05:10to talk about the specific topic maybe on the day.
05:16And this week we didn't have to do much to be fair.
05:20The energy has been so good.
05:21The weather helps as well so much.
05:24It's been beautiful.
05:25We know it's so clear what is at stake,
05:27how much we fought for this with our people.
05:30And now we have to do it on the pitch.
05:32I'd like to ask Martin to do the memory
05:34because if he plays tomorrow,
05:35he'll make his 50th appearance for Arsenal in the competition.
05:38So, I was at the performance game
05:40and there was a moment that went viral after
05:41it was a thing that was installed by his teammates.
05:43And then again, after the sporting game,
05:46when he got the pay of the match,
05:47where all the players ran to him
05:48and were hugging him, congratulating him.
05:50I just wanted to get a sense of
05:52what his relationship with the players within the squad is like.
05:56And, you know, has he gone through highs and lows recently?
05:59Because he plays a lot of minutes and we see these moments.
06:01And, you know, fans are wondering what is going on with Martin to do?
06:06How is he?
06:07Yeah, he's very good.
06:09I mean, to play 50 games for Arsenal in your first season
06:12and the level that he's done and the amount of games that we've won,
06:14you have to do things in an exceptional way.
06:17He's very much like everybody.
06:19You can sense that.
06:20If you go back to Clips in September, October, November,
06:23I can show you when he scored goals or assists or whatever,
06:25the reaction and how he feels with his teammates is so good.
06:30And we are blessed to have him.
06:32In terms of your opponents tomorrow, Newcastle obviously has been a really rough run.
06:37Eight losses in eight, 11 times a game.
06:39Have you been surprised to see the performance?
06:43Well, we know the difficulty of the league.
06:45I'm very clear that the ability and the quality of Newcastle,
06:49what Eddie has done with that team and continues to do,
06:52we know how tough the opponent is going to be tomorrow.
06:55We have to be at our best.
06:56If we do that, we're going to have a big chance to win it.
07:03You said earlier it's time to go all in, it's time to really go for it.
07:08Does that mean the next five games your team may be playing with a little bit more freedom
07:13than they would have done up to this point in the season
07:15because goals could be so important?
07:18I don't know.
07:20Four goals against, I think it's going to be a balance of that,
07:22like it's been all season.
07:24That's why the goal difference between the two teams is so small.
07:31First of all, as I said, very clear what we have to do to win the game,
07:34to end the ride, to win the game, to compete and be better than the opponent.
07:38The rest will come.
07:39The other night with City 1-1-0, there kind of was a feeling that,
07:43yeah, they won 1-0 so we didn't get three points,
07:46but actually that wasn't a good result.
07:493-4-5 would have been a much better result.
07:51Is that how a manager sees things?
07:54It's always better to win 3-4 or 5,
07:56but you play in the Premier League and every opponent is very difficult.
08:00Very much going into the next five games at the end of the season,
08:04is it now, in your mind, everything to win?
08:07Or in everything to lose?
08:10Everything to win.
08:11I mean, when we are in the position that we are playing the two biggest competitions
08:15that we had this season, the position that we are in,
08:18I think it's a simple answer.
08:20What are you personally going to do differently this year,
08:23this time round, to what you've done the last two or three years?
08:26Yourself?
08:27Every game will be different.
08:29Focus on the priorities and the things that we can do
08:33to help the players arrive in the best state possible.
08:37with the team, make sure that we have all the players available,
08:40which is one of the most important things
08:42and a big lesson that we learn from it
08:44and give them confidence, trust and belief that we are going to do it.
08:48That's it.
08:49Finally, there was some criticism of Declan Rice's performance last week at Manchester City,
08:54which I personally thought was quite amazing,
08:56because I think you are one of the best players in this position,
08:59not only in the league, but in the world.
09:01How do you feel when you see some of your main players
09:05and sometimes they are not as appreciated, let's say?
09:08Well, I do, we do, we know the player that we have,
09:11how blessed we are to have him.
09:12The season that he's having again has been absolutely outstanding,
09:16and that's it.
09:17He's about the next performance,
09:19and now is Newcastle, it's tomorrow,
09:21and I'm sure he will step up again and make a difference for the team.
09:25Good luck.
09:27Hi.
09:28When you mentioned the new league pros after the City game,
09:33did you see that almost as a mental thing?
09:36Sorry, my voice is...
09:39Did you see it as more mental than anything tactical or anything like that
09:44because of how long the season has been
09:46and obviously this week had a full week to kind of prepare?
09:50Well, it's a reality as well,
09:52and the context of the two teams and where we are on the table
09:56and the amount of games that are left.
09:59I think it was the right way for me to express it,
10:01and this is the way I feel,
10:02and tomorrow is game one.
10:05That's it.
10:06And with Bukayo, you mentioned I think a couple weeks ago
10:09how he deals with injuries.
10:11He feels frustrated that he wants to solve those problems really quickly.
10:17How have you found him this week
10:19with getting closer to fitness and getting back in the future?
10:22Yeah, we have given some time because there was a moment that he was struggling
10:26to sustain the performances because he wasn't comfortable at all.
10:32And we've done that, so he had the right treatment, the right space.
10:36He had some time as well for himself,
10:39and now it's the most important part of the season, and he's back with us.
10:43Is that time for himself something you think is quite important?
10:46Because I think maybe this time last year when he had the hamstring injury,
10:51he went on holiday that you said he had to go on.
10:54Well, because it was a long-term injury.
10:56Now the time on himself that I mean that you are not connected with the team every day.
11:01So I think it was a good memory for him as well to reflect on that,
11:06to have some peace because we've been constantly asking and demanding him,
11:11and it was a moment to say, OK, now when you feel ready, let us know and we go for
11:16it.
11:19Is there any psychological impact of being second?
11:23No, for me no.
11:26Everyone talks about how long you've been at the top of the table.
11:28When you talk about this being game one, is that the idea to just reset or ignore the table?
11:34No, because before the psychological effect was that we were getting chased for many months.
11:39So what is better, what is worse?
11:41At the end, if you know what is the best thing, win the next game.
11:43If you need a psychological effect, it's tough, regardless of where you are,
11:47because you win the game.
11:49Then you talked a lot about availability being really important in certain seasons.
11:53Do you find that you get to that point now,
11:56with Kaio coming back, Kaio coming back,
11:58and you've got the vast majority?
12:01I hope now we need to get the best version out of them.
12:04So being available is not enough.
12:05Being available with your best version is what we need in this state of the season.
12:09But at least they are with us.
12:11They make us certainly stronger.
12:14We miss them.
12:15And now all the players as well, they have just come back as well.
12:18They are going to have more games, more minutes,
12:20and hopefully we will see better performance as well.
12:22Has Camarino had a chance of being better?
12:26It is a bit premature to say that he is evolving really well.
12:29He is really pushing every boundary that he possibly can,
12:32but it is evidently to answer that question.
12:36Hi Mikkel.
12:38After the game on Sunday,
12:40the cameras caught their comrades saying,
12:42it's not done, it's not done.
12:44I wanted to know what your message has been to the players this week
12:47considering all the outside and what they've come to Sunday.
12:50Everything is too playful.
12:52Go and grab it.
12:54That's it.
12:55He is there to grab it and we need to do it.
12:58Is it now a case of you need to win every single game now?
13:02You can't have any more slip-ups.
13:03It has game one.
13:04We need to win in this game.
13:05That's the most important thing.
13:06That's the only thing.
13:07We can control our performance,
13:09our mindset, attitude towards the game tomorrow against Newcastle,
13:13and that's the only thing that matters.
13:17On Sunday, you started with Ebs and Martin and Kai.
13:21We have not seen that kind of triumphant together.
13:24Just kind of curious on how you saw those three working together
13:26and if it's something that you see as a future.
13:28Yeah, there are so many combinations that we haven't seen all season, unfortunately.
13:33because we had so many situations.
13:35But the more we see certain connections,
13:40I think the better we're going to be.
13:41And what about those three in particular?
13:44There were a lot of things that I liked.
13:46There are certain things obviously we have to improve,
13:47but there are a lot of things that I really liked in the game.
13:53Hi, Michael.
13:53On Sunday, we saw Kai Haberts play up front
13:56and put in a really good performance.
13:58The team felt really connected.
13:59Obviously, Victor Jokos has had a wonderful season as well with 18 goals.
14:03Can you speak on what you think the difference is between the two
14:06in terms of how they bring the team together and what they do for you?
14:10Well, very different profiles, but as well very different games.
14:13The Man City game demanded something very different to the Bournemouth game.
14:16As well, it's not about Kompernis having two very different profiles
14:20that make the team really, really strong.
14:24We have to use him in the right way to win games.
14:27That's it.
14:29Can I ask about Ricciardo?
14:30He's obviously had a lot of injury problems in his career
14:33even before he joined Arsenal.
14:34Is that a situation where he's sort of so unique
14:37and offers so much to the team that you've accepted
14:39as almost worth the frustration of knowing he'll miss?
14:42You accept certain situations because it is what it is,
14:47but we are trying to implement a lot of things
14:50to give ourselves a better chance.
14:51It's been a much better decision than it was in the previous season.
14:55He was really unlucky with the previous season that he had last year as well.
14:58So, yeah, he's putting so much into it as well
15:02and hopefully we can maintain him fit.
15:05Last one.
15:05Who's there at the back?
15:06We go to 10.40.
15:07I'm just going to ask about those different comments.
15:10How encouraging was it to see that the new sort of saying it's not done
15:14and the mindset has already shifted?
15:18Well, because we know.
15:19I mean, we've been there and it's very clear
15:21that there's still everything to play for.
15:23Five games.
15:25He's there to take it and we need to go and grab it.
15:28I think it's very simple.
15:30I'll just ask you just one about Pacquiao.
15:32Obviously, him coming back will be so crucial for you guys.
15:35He must be chomped in a bit to get going because he's missed such a crucial period.
15:39How is he and himself looking forward to the game?
15:42He was in great spirit today.
15:43You can see that the sun is shining and that he's back with the team
15:47because he had a different energy.
15:49He's been through a tough period.
15:51We certainly missed him and he's back with us now.
15:55You
