00:04so good afternoon everyone hope everyone's well as discussed with many of you we'll kick off with
00:09a premier league section talk about the premier league and then we'll move on to move on to
00:12champions league if everyone's in the room is ready at the back all good we'll kick off with
00:18darmesh from sky hello congratulations thank you very much winning the title um arsenal premier
00:26league champions have those four words sunk in yeah it's incredible to to hear them especially
00:36understanding the journey the manner that we've done it and how many people has been involved and
00:42waiting for for so long to to accomplish that goal can you just give us an idea what it was
00:48like for
00:48you on tuesday night when that whistle went at the vitality your overriding emotion when it happened
00:55you don't realize it probably it's uh it's one of the best feelings i ever had um i supposed to
01:02be
01:02here at colony watching the game with the boys and sets and stuff because that's what they wanted but
01:07i couldn't i think 20 minutes later before the game i had to leave i couldn't bring the energy that
01:15i
01:15wanted and i don't think when it was their moment as well to to watch it together to be themselves
01:20and
01:20and just see what the outcome would be and i went home i went outside to the garden i started
01:27to build
01:27some fire and i started to do some barbecue i didn't watch any of it i was just hearing some
01:34noises in the background in the living room and uh and suddenly the magic happened my oldest son
01:41opened the garden door he started to run towards me he started to cry he gave me a hug and
01:46said
01:47we are champions daddy and then my two boys and my wife came over and uh it was beautiful just
01:53to
01:53see that joy on them as well that they are always with with me uh it was magical and nothing
01:59i mean
01:59later martin was with the video where are you i said come over he said yeah guys enjoy it for
02:07a while
02:07and uh and see you in a few hours somewhere in london and uh yeah it was it was beautiful
02:12so as much as you maybe wanted to watch it with the team no regrets now about how it transpired
02:20and after watching the videos and being it was their moment and they have to be themselves in that
02:26moment and if i'm there i think it was not going to be the same and uh yeah i'm glad
02:30i did it uh
02:31that way they enjoyed it so much and this time was all over the place and uh and yeah we
02:36had our
02:37moment together a few hours later i'm guessing the whatsapp groups and the messages must have gone
02:42off the chain at the moment can you give us an insight into who's messaged you and and what kind
02:48of messages you've received to be fair it's a bit different when you finish second and when you win
02:52it your phone uh and that's a sport and uh but that's it's a it's a big lesson in life
02:58as well
02:59because the margins are so small and it can go either way and when you just accomplish it
03:04uh you realize the um yeah how immense it is how big it is for so many people i mean
03:11just to witness the happiness and the enjoyment all the things that i've seen from all of our
03:17supporters families in in different countries is just uh it's so so good michael you pipped
03:23your your friend and one of your mentors in pep guardiola to the title did that make it extra
03:30special and and what's his reaction been to you since i mean they've been a huge part of that
03:37journey and pep has been a huge part on that journey first of all because i started my coaching career
03:42with him and then because not only pep and man city but the other uh opponents as one in the
03:47league and
03:48and all the the colleagues that we have in the league i mean they continue to raise the standard to
03:53to crazy level in this league and the only thing that it has provoked in myself the players the staff
03:59and the club is used to be obligated to raise those levels and those standards to try to be better
04:06than
04:06that and over the last few years we've been very very close and and this time thankfully uh we managed
04:13to
04:13win it was there a moment and i don't know whether you've had a chance to think about this was
04:17there a
04:18moment uh a team talk a goal a match that you look back and think that's a big moment when
04:25i really
04:26believed it's been so many uh probably i need a bit more time to reflect on that and i will
04:33have so many
04:35so much footage that um probably will it will explain a little bit the story of the season um one
04:42of the
04:42main ones it was a meeting that we had here in next to the tree when i got all the
04:48players together
04:49and i told them look at each other look at the score that we built over the summer i think
04:53we are
04:53capable of everything and we can be very very good but only depends on us and on our behaviors and
05:00everybody understanding the role is going to have daily or on the day to give the best for the team
05:06and uh once they realized that and i think we went to a different level because you've seen the impact
05:13that everybody's had in different moments of games through the season um and the capacity that we have
05:19shown to to adapt to to very very tough circumstances throughout the season just a final one for me and
05:25i usually start with this with with team news but there was some good news it looks like with
05:30michael moreno returning but no yuri and timber what can you tell us about the chances of those two players
05:35featuring in the last two games yeah i think uh michael is going to start to train with the with
05:40the
05:41group tomorrow uh today he's done a little bit it was just a very light session obviously and uh
05:46durian let's hope that he can do the same in the next few days uh but still a little bit
05:51further
05:51behind than michael at the moment thank you nick from haters hi michael you talked about the enormity
05:56of this achievement i was reporting when anfield 89 the double years of wenger the invincibles i didn't
06:02think it could ever get any bigger but the outpouring of emotion on the streets around the
06:06stadium on tuesday night never seen anything like it at all i mean you you're responsible for that
06:11tell us about how that feels we all are responsible because it's uh and i really want to make that
06:17clear it's been so many people in this journey um throughout the years not only since i've been here
06:22but as well everything that obviously our same built and happened even though we didn't achieve the
06:27the premier league and it was an explosion an emotional explosion because everybody's been
06:32just you know keeping emotions and and lifting those emotions but not being able to really express
06:39them so when we opened that bottle i think everybody had so much to release and uh it's been
06:45incredible to witness i don't know what plans you've got for the match after magic palace but it sounds
06:50like people are keen to get down to the stadium again would you encourage everyone to keep on celebrating
06:56they have to do what they feel and uh and so far i think what they have created around the
07:01club and
07:02the team it's uh is incredible to witness i mean that chemistry that connection that passion it's um
07:08it's something beautiful i mean the trophy is great but uh that is in my opinion something even bigger
07:14anita premier league mikhail congratulations thank you have you messaged and donnie rayola yet have you
07:21spoken to him i didn't message him no wrong him i called him oh i called him yesterday uh first
07:29of all
07:29to congratulate him uh for the incredible job that uh that he's done with bournemouth obviously he said
07:35i mean you almost took the premier league away from us and now you help us to to win it
07:41on the last day
07:42so uh yeah a quick call to say thank you as well to show my uh admiration towards him and
07:48wishing the best
07:49in the next chapter of his career which i'm sure is going to be very very successful it's been such
07:54a journey from when you first arrived this season almost felt like there was even more pressure because
08:00of that those second place finishes three seasons in a row what was the most difficult moment this campaign
08:07for you thank you thank you i think the start was tough because um i think yeah when you build
08:19the club the
08:20team into a a zone where yeah the only thing that is left is to win it and then the
08:26margin is so small
08:26especially with our competitors is to see can the team handle that kind of pressure from the beginning
08:32because we remember the conversation the press conference in september and october if you guys
08:37don't win the league is over and it's still eight or nine months to play so to play with that
08:42back
08:44constantly it's is not easy and that's been probably one of the toughest moments that's why when i said
08:49to him we won the league but i'm the most proud is that how we've won it because we shown
08:55i think very
08:56important values not only in sport but in in life as well which is perseverance which is you know to
09:03be resilient to be composed in moment when people are doubting to be vulnerable because i've asked that
09:11question to myself am i good enough to lead this team this club these players to win a major trophy
09:19until you don't do it you cannot validate yourself so and i thought about many ways what is the best
09:25way
09:25to do it we have to be people from outside and speakers to inspire them uh and then you have
09:32to
09:32find your own way but the big lesson here is it's stay humble stay curious and focus on the point
09:41and
09:42what you want to achieve and you give your very best you give yourself a good chance and um and
09:48we're
09:48giving ourselves a very good chance for three years and this season we've done it
09:54yes the thing is now of course you want more than we have the biggest one to play um in
10:00budapest in
10:00a few days but uh it's been extremely rewarding because we know we know what we've been through
10:06and we know that we're going to step by step uh and uh when we haven't reached because sometimes
10:13somebody else is is better it has better resources they have a better capacity to do that to accept that
10:18and be humble then to say but i'm not going to stop and i'm going to improve i'm going to
10:23reinvent
10:24myself and i think that's going to be a theme here in this team which is if with this we
10:29don't have
10:29enough we need to think about all the things that we have to do to make that step and we've
10:34been very
10:35creative and i'm very stubborn in that process to achieve that tom from reach hello michael hi congratulations
10:43i'm sure you've gone through many emotions joy relief can you allow yourself an element of vindication
10:49in your choices your decisions your methods and achieving that goal vindicates all those choices
10:55you made that led to this point um nobody knows that uh and i'm sure that uh somebody else would
11:03have
11:03done things in a different way and maybe achieve the same objective or better or earlier so i don't know
11:09what i'm sure is that um i follow my instinct i think i try to represent the values of this
11:16football
11:16club and all the people i'm extremely grateful to all the people that have been in that process i don't
11:21have to name them because they know who they are because i have made sure that they feel part of
11:26this
11:27ownership as well because when i joined they were in a place and they deserve all the credit for what
11:33they've done with this football club and especially again the manner that they've done it and the way they
11:38have inspired everybody at the club and uh and then yeah for me personally is is a massive one because
11:4622 years is is a long long time okay guys we'll do three more on the premier league first with
11:52charlie
11:52hi michael you mentioned about that meeting you had that that sort of key meeting with the players
11:57can you remember exactly when it was and was there any significance why it was outside next to a tree
12:02because obviously you have a lot of meetings with the players what what made this one special
12:06the location and the topic because normally we have a lot of people and staff there it was
12:11the players and myself and and we talk about their role what is my role how i feel about them
12:17and then
12:18every decision i'm gonna make is to try to impact their lives in a in a positive way and and
12:24any decision
12:25that i make is because it's my job to make it so don't take it personal and just try to
12:30sum up in the
12:31and impact the team in the manner that that we can and it was one of them but i think
12:36to extract the
12:37best qualities of of the players and all the resources that we had in the squad i think that
12:42one was very important when was it the week that we started the premier league before man united away
12:47okay and just just in terms of the next two games now you've obviously got this you know incredible
12:51occasion on sunday what have you said to the players in terms of you know just two more matches not
12:56too much
12:56celebrating what views of how are you splitting this game sunday and obviously this massive match
13:01and be the best what have you told the players today well we had 48 hours to enjoy um the
13:07success
13:07of winning the league now tomorrow and saturday we're gonna prepare really well because we need to now
13:13lift again our habits and the standards that we normally do things to be in the best possible way to
13:19compete on sunday we'll have a little uh window there again to to celebrate to leave the trophy in
13:25the manner that deserves to connect with the people that um that we have constantly around us but then
13:31we have six days that uh that we need to write uh a new history in this football club alex
13:37bbc hi mikhail
13:38congratulations thank you people say something changes in you when you win a trophy so do you understand
13:44what they mean now and do you feel different well it changes because uh the level of emotion that
13:50you feel it um is something probably that i haven't felt before and um and as a manager as a
13:58player it
13:58is different and uh it's been incredible the last 48 hours it's been uh it's been so much fun and
14:05uh
14:05and enjoyment and uh yeah great to live it and finally the premier league is sound from daily mail
14:10hi miguel congratulations thank you the whole season there's been a lot of negativity in terms
14:15of when arsenal haven't been doing well you've had the highs and the lows now looking back on it all
14:19how tough was it to go through all that what's going through your head when people are saying bottle
14:24bottlers and all these other kind of not so good things how have you rode through that to get to
14:29the
14:29end i think i said it a few weeks ago um i think i think you have to in our
14:35job you have to respect
14:37every opinion i think the the difficulty is to place those opinion in the place that they belong
14:42you know because some of them can be extremely useful and they can help you to to be better to
14:47see or to appreciate something in a different way or to open your eyes to something that maybe
14:52you don't have the capacity to to look at uh but others that can be just damaging and the only
14:59purpose
14:59is towards that i think they have to be really far from you otherwise uh it's gonna affect you in
15:04a way
15:05that obviously you're gonna transmit it to the team and that cannot happen as a manager
15:10okay thanks guys we'll now move to champions league we'll move to rodrigo from tnt mexico
15:15hola michael felicidades congratulations
