00:00You five should never travel together again, not ever.
00:04Now on Tribunal Justice.
00:06So this is your nephew, and you were in fear of your life?
00:10Punching the back of my seat as I'm driving,
00:12I was trembling, I was shocked.
00:14Do you have a temper?
00:15They were screaming as well.
00:16So what?
00:17And then you canceled their return tickets?
00:20In a foreign country, trying to figure out
00:21how they're supposed to get back.
00:23That's crazy.
00:48Today's case was filed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
00:51This is case number 3036 on the calendar
00:55in the matter of greasy versus greasy.
00:57Thank you, Bert.
00:58You're welcome, Judge.
00:58Your parties have been sworn in.
01:00You may be seated.
01:01All righty, so this case arises from a family dispute
01:05over a vacation that went terribly awry.
01:08And you all are the family.
01:11Mom, daughter, niece.
01:13Mom, you're Mary Lou.
01:15Daughter, your daughter, Anna.
01:17And your niece, Rebecca.
01:18Defendant, the mom is your aunt.
01:23Defendant two is your wife.
01:24So you're niece by marriage.
01:26Correct.
01:26OK, so, Ms. Greasy, Ms. Greasy, and Ms. Dubenski, you are suing the defendant for the return
01:33of monies that you say that you paid him for this family trip to Croatia, also your anniversary
01:39trip.
01:40And now you're suing the defendants for the cost of airline tickets home after he left
01:45you stranded in Croatia, as well as car rental fees, a lost key fob for your own car, and
01:51you also have a claim against him for emotional distress, bringing your claim to $10,000.
01:56Mr. Greasy, you maintain the two of you owe the plaintiffs nothing and that they owe you $3,000
02:02because they never finished paying for the trip.
02:05Yes.
02:06As I understand it, you five originally bought tickets to Croatia.
02:11Mom and daughter, you two bought your own with a credit card.
02:14Rebecca, you paid money to the defendant for the tickets.
02:17Correct.
02:17And they bought tickets for you and the two of them.
02:21But days before the trip, the airline canceled the flights and refunded everyone.
02:26That was the first ticket purchase attempt, correct?
02:29Yes.
02:30Then, Mr. Greasy, you put all of the rebooked tickets on your credit card, which is how you
02:35all ultimately got to Croatia.
02:36While there, a huge family blow-up happens.
02:40Mr. Greasy cancels all three of your return tickets, forcing you ladies to buy a last-minute
02:46return flight for over $4,100.
02:50And that's part of what you three are now suing for.
02:53And you want the $1,600 that you claim you originally paid to fly back because Mr. Greasy
03:00received credit for it.
03:01But he's now saying that he still owed money for the tickets.
03:05Now, before we get to what happened when you went abroad, do we have any evidence that
03:10you ever repaid him for the tickets?
03:13Yes.
03:14I have a check.
03:162106 is for Ana and I.
03:18Those were our tickets.
03:20Rebecca paid him in cash, which she doesn't have a receipt, but we do have text messages
03:25that say, you're paid, you only owe.
03:29Show me the text message where the defendant acknowledges receiving your money, Rebecca.
03:35I paid him, I took the money.
03:37No, I want to see the evidence because I'm not taking people at their word.
03:41Thank you, Bird.
03:43I called, what about the money we paid?
03:45We need to have an emergency meeting.
03:47The flight will be transferred to the new flight.
03:50Rebecca, you still owe us $73 and you said we're not sweating the $73.
03:55So how much money did you give him for the flight?
03:57$1,032.
03:59$1,032.
04:00And then the two of you gave him that $2,100.
04:04Your three tickets were on his credit card.
04:06So September 21st, you drive to his home and then you all take an Uber.
04:11You leave for the trip.
04:12You got there.
04:13Things seem to be going pretty well.
04:15Can we put up exhibit one?
04:16This is in Croatia.
04:18Yes.
04:19How long into the trip was this picture taken?
04:21Yeah, we were just in the country a couple of days when that was taken.
04:24So tell me how things start to go south.
04:27So we take a trip to go to an outing in Pula to see an arena.
04:32So we all get in the van.
04:35We all start out great together.
04:37I do want to mention though that earlier in the morning,
04:40there were signs of some behavior that in hindsight, now we can.
04:46Don't be coy, you're suing him.
04:48And part of your claim is for emotional distress.
04:51So if you wanted to protect feelings,
04:53you should have thought about that before you filed a lawsuit against your nephew.
04:57So it might have started the night before Stacy went to bed without him.
05:02And according to her, that's not allowed.
05:06So the next morning, we're all making breakfast.
05:09He's not making eye contact with us.
05:12He avoids breakfast.
05:14He goes to do his laundry instead.
05:16He's not saying much, but we all agreed to go to Pula together.
05:20He sits way in the back of the van.
05:23We get there and those two go off by themselves.
05:27We kind of break up.
05:28And at one point, we catch up to only him and we ask him where she is.
05:33And he claims it's not his day to blank watch her.
05:38So we go our separate ways.
05:40When we got back into the van, Stacy was by herself and she approached us crying.
05:45She said she approached him at one time and he said, you need alone time.
05:49Right now, you're describing what may be a dispute between a married couple.
05:53Right.
05:53I'm trying to understand how this is impacting you.
05:56Because he freaked out in the van.
05:58He jumped forward a few seats, punching the back of my seat as I'm driving.
06:03We're lost.
06:04It's dark.
06:04I was trembling.
06:05I was shocked.
06:06And I said, everybody shut up.
06:08So according to you, he started throwing a tantrum.
06:11Right.
06:11Mr. Greasy, were you banging the back of the seat?
06:14No, because I was sitting all the way in the back like she claimed.
06:16So the things that she says happen never happen.
06:19So on the way back from Pula to see this Coliseum, it's an immaculate thing.
06:24They didn't want to go see it.
06:25They want to go drinking instead.
06:27As we're driving back, I'm supposed to be driving this van, but one of my cousins has
06:31anxiety if somebody else drives it.
06:33And she was completely erratic with her driving, which I'm biting my tongue, not saying much.
06:38No, you're not.
06:38You're actually not biting your tongue because you've already tried to get in there.
06:42They wanted to go drinking instead of going to the Coliseum.
06:44So what?
06:45Don't care.
06:46People are allowed to drink on vacation.
06:47Yeah.
06:48She's got anxiety.
06:48She's got not material to this right now.
06:50And some people are allowed to do their laundry too and not eat breakfast.
06:52So now what happens when you go back to the Airbnb?
06:55Because part of your claim here is that you don't owe them any money
06:58because you say they kicked you out of the Airbnb.
07:01Yes.
07:01Did you kick them out?
07:04Coming up on Tribunal Justice.
07:07There's something much more going on in this family than meets the eyes of the three of us.
07:17Mary Lou Greasy, Anna Dubinsky, and Rebecca Greasy say family members Nick and Stacey Greasy stranded them in Croatia by
07:25canceling their airline tickets.
07:27They're suing for $10,000 for return flights and emotional distress.
07:31Nick is counter suing saying they still owe him for multiple travel expenses.
07:35Part of your claim here is that you don't owe them any money because you say they kicked you out
07:40of the Airbnb.
07:41Yes.
07:42Did you kick him out?
07:43You did.
07:44You called the police, didn't you?
07:45We called the police.
07:45You called the police.
07:46Why did you call the police?
07:47Because he freaked out in the van.
07:49You know what?
07:49Let's play the audio recording.
07:51Because something went on here and now everybody's being really shy and dancing around it.
07:57So let's play the audio recording.
07:59When you pound your fist like that.
08:01And you said you canceled our flight and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
08:05I'm not canceling the flight.
08:06Oh, now you're not.
08:07Yes.
08:08Okay.
08:08That's correct.
08:09I'm not going to do that.
08:10On the audio recording we just heard, we heard you say you weren't going to cancel the tickets.
08:15Part of their lawsuit is that you did cancel the tickets and then they had to buy new tickets.
08:19I canceled their tickets.
08:20In that audio recording, I was not going to cancel their tickets until the next day, Friday,
08:25I found out that they were actually trying to redo their flights.
08:30What difference does that make, sir?
08:32They were trying to redo their flights.
08:33Well, if they have a ticket, can't they make other arrangements for the ticket?
08:37Because they were so uncomfortable meeting me at the villa,
08:39I felt that it was necessary then to not be on the same flight with them.
08:42So it wouldn't be any more problem.
08:44So why didn't you change your flight?
08:46Because it's easier to change their flights.
08:47And you claim they still owe you $3,000?
08:50Yes.
08:51If you canceled the tickets, then you got your money back.
08:53Did you not?
08:54The reason why they owe me $3,009.06 is because we have one payment of $2,106.
09:00And that's the difference of what we have spent in total as opposed to what we got from them.
09:05But they never got the full benefit of their tickets because you canceled those tickets.
09:09The tickets on the way to Croatia were on our credit card.
09:13The van rental was on our credit card.
09:15The Uber to the airport was on our credit card, as well as the tickets on the way home
09:19from Croatia.
09:20And they had never paid us in full.
09:22No, we all paid for the van.
09:24Show me evidence that you paid for the van.
09:26We don't have that.
09:27We paid him cash.
09:28Okay, so as far as I'm concerned, as I see it, there's no evidence that you ever paid
09:31for that first van.
09:32If you ended up having to rent a car, then unless you were going to walk around Croatia,
09:37you were going to have to come out of pocket for some of that money.
09:40Right.
09:40Talk to me about your emotional distress claim.
09:43Why do you get emotional distress for this family dispute?
09:45What he did in the van was very stressful.
09:49I had to pull over.
09:50He was scary.
09:50It was late at night.
09:52We're trying to get our GPS to work.
09:55It's not the greatest terrain to drive in.
09:58And he is lunging up.
09:59So this is your nephew, and you were in fear of your life?
10:02It was scary.
10:03Had you ever seen him like this before?
10:05Not in person.
10:05You've never seen him.
10:06And so did you say, maybe, hey, maybe something's going on.
10:09Maybe something's wrong.
10:10Why do you get $3,000 in emotional distress?
10:13We had to check daily to see if our tickets were going to be canceled or not.
10:16He was acting unpredictable. We didn't know what was going to happen.
10:21He canceled the tickets.
10:22But I'm just interested to find out why you think this is a $10,000 case.
10:27You've got to pay for transportation when you're there.
10:29You've got to get yourself home.
10:31You have no evidence that you paid him for the van in the first instance.
10:34And you, sir, you canceled their tickets, and now you're suing them for more money.
10:38Why don't you just call it even?
10:40You guys ruined each other's trips.
10:42Call it even.
10:43Judge Domingo?
10:44There's something much more going on in this family than meets the eyes of the three of us
10:50up here, because you seem like reasonable, rational women.
10:55One of you is a teacher, right?
10:57You're the teacher.
10:58What are you, Anna?
10:59Bartender.
10:59Bartender.
11:00What are you, my mom?
11:00I'm a retired correctional officer.
11:03Well, you might be a little questionable.
11:05But I don't have a real picture of the two of you just yet,
11:09because I can't believe, one, that this is the first time you've acted out,
11:13because two, they reacted to you in a way that's disproportionate to even what they're
11:18describing.
11:19So it makes me think that in some prior incident, you did something a little bit over the top.
11:25Stacy, you want to chime in here, or what?
11:29Well, I've never seen him do anything.
11:32You're not.
11:32I've never been afraid of him.
11:33You're not telling us the truth.
11:34You're not telling us the truth.
11:35You tell me.
11:36Do you have a temper?
11:38Have you been violent in the past?
11:39No.
11:40I didn't ask you, because you're not going to say it, because if he is,
11:42you'd be the last person to say it.
11:44So I'm asking you.
11:45It wasn't just I in that van acting out, as you say.
11:49It was them three yelling at me as well.
11:51Why were they yelling at you about?
11:53The conversation started because my aunt was talking about how men don't listen to women,
11:58and she turned around, pointed at me, and she goes,
12:00don't you agree, Nick, because you guys never listen to anything.
12:03And at that time in my life, man, I felt like she was pointing all her frustrations at me.
12:08Oh, come on.
12:09You really could not handle that statement?
12:12Good thing you're not a judge.
12:14For 51 years, I've listened to them talk about that kind of stuff.
12:17It's overwhelming, especially four days of trip like this.
12:21It's been overwhelming.
12:23The only reason I'm even getting involved in this is because there's a responsibility.
12:26If they left and stranded you, I may have a different feeling about the results here
12:32than if you prompted them to act in a way which would cause them.
12:35Because, for instance, let's go to the van.
12:37You used that van after the five of you kind of split ways.
12:40You and your wife, Stacy, used that van for the rest of the trip.
12:44Now, maybe I don't want to reimburse you for that because you got the major benefit of that,
12:50and they had to pay for their own van.
12:52Now, you did take a flight to Croatia.
12:55The return trip, they reimbursed you $1,652, the airlines.
13:02Is that correct, when you canceled their trip?
13:04Yes, it is correct.
13:06You were reimbursed.
13:07You had to go buy new tickets for $4,011.
13:10Correct.
13:11So, I'm going to say that you don't get back, let's say you're $1,652.
13:14You get back your $4,011.
13:17With regard to the van, you've just explained the van situation.
13:20And the only other issue here, the key fob.
13:22Where would that key fob be, if not for you, Nick?
13:26Where would it be?
13:26I'm assuming with her.
13:28Why would she take a key fob with her to Croatia when she left the car at your house?
13:33I can't explain why my aunt does the things she does.
13:36Like, she threw away her luggage receipt, and that was a whole fiasco.
13:39Did you throw away your luggage receipt?
13:41I accidentally did, yes.
13:42Was that a fiasco?
13:43I want, like, three days without any clothes.
13:46You five should never travel together again.
13:49Not ever.
13:50Judge Luffy?
13:50So, did they pay you cash for anything?
13:53No.
13:55And you're shaking your head no, too?
13:56Correct.
13:57How do you know what they may have given to him when you weren't there?
14:00We were always together.
14:00As far as I know.
14:01I'm sorry, what'd you say?
14:02We were always together.
14:04You're saying that you and your wife are together all the time?
14:07We're pretty close, yeah.
14:09You heard what the plaintiff said about something happening in the morning when
14:11he went off by himself and you were not with him.
14:14Do you remember that, Ms. Greasy?
14:16Mm-hmm.
14:16You guys having a little bit of a little marital argument?
14:19Well, a little bit.
14:21Listen, we all have him.
14:23I'm married 30 years.
14:24Something happened despite the fact you guys are married one year where you said,
14:28I don't want to be with him that day, right?
14:31Sure.
14:31Something happened in that van that made you feel uncomfortable.
14:34I want you to describe for me what your husband was doing.
14:37Coming up on Tribunal Justice.
14:40There is a long history of Nick acting erratically,
14:43continuously has arguments with people in the family.
14:51Mary Lou Greasy, Anna Dubinsky, and Rebecca Greasy claim family members Nick and Stacey Greasy
14:56sabotaged their trip to Croatia by canceling their flights home.
15:00They're suing for $10,000 for new tickets and emotional distress.
15:05Nick says they never fully paid him, so he's countersuing for $3,000.
15:09Something happened in that van that made you feel uncomfortable.
15:12I want you to describe for me what your husband was doing.
15:15Was he yelling?
15:15Was he screaming?
15:16He was yelling.
15:17Made you feel uncomfortable?
15:19Yes.
15:19I was uncomfortable as well, because they were screaming as well.
15:22I get it.
15:22And at the villa, it continues.
15:25Is that right?
15:25Mm-hmm.
15:26And at the villa, a decision is made for your husband to leave.
15:30Why didn't you go with him?
15:31He told me to stay there, because we had no place else to go.
15:35I figured that it would be resolved in the morning.
15:38Those three had been fighting the whole entire week we were there.
15:41It usually blows over.
15:42I know that he had tried to resolve this argument the next morning, and they refused to talk to him.
15:48When you say that he tried to resolve it that morning, is this the morning of the 1am text?
15:53I'm the only one that reached out and did an apology, even though it took four of us to argue.
15:57You know, I got it.
15:59Listen, sometimes that's what we do.
16:01Men, husbands, we're the ones who apologize, even if sometimes we're not wrong.
16:04I get that.
16:05That's not what this text says.
16:07My behavior last night was unacceptable.
16:09You acknowledged that your actions made everyone feel uncomfortable and uneasy.
16:15Yes.
16:15You don't understand why you get so frustrated at times.
16:19Sure.
16:20You lash out. I say things that I don't really mean.
16:23It's a horrible defense mechanism.
16:26Have you ever seen that with him?
16:27Well, sure. We get in arguments. We both have said things that we don't mean.
16:31But he apologizes to you afterwards.
16:33Yeah, and I apologize to him.
16:34And that's okay. That's what married couples do.
16:36What I'm more concerned with is, what were you thinking when on that audio that we heard,
16:40you said, I'm not going to cancel the flights, right?
16:43Because you know that would be a really crappy thing to do.
16:45Yes.
16:46To cancel the flights and let three women in a foreign country, trying to figure out for
16:50themselves how they're supposed to get back. Because you don't know whether their credit
16:53cards are maxed out, right?
16:55I didn't think about their credit card. I knew mine was maxed out.
16:58You didn't think about it, because you didn't care.
17:00And also because I know, I know the next day on the 27th, they were trying to change their flights.
17:05Okay. Whatever it is, if they were trying to change their flights or not, nothing prevented
17:09you at that time. If you really wanted to know whether they were trying to cancel the flights,
17:12would be to contact them. You could have done that.
17:15They had me blocked.
17:15You tried. I did not, sir.
17:17I was blocked.
17:18Mm-mm. Never.
17:19Were you blocked from contacting them? You, ma'am.
17:22No, I blocked them, though, because they continued to message me and harass me.
17:26It's all good. It's all good.
17:27And by the way, on the 26th, I did tell them, even though you heard a snippet of that audio,
17:31I did say to them when I walked in that villa, if you kick me out of the villa where
17:34I have nowhere to go,
17:36I'm going to kick, I'm going to cancel your flights as well.
17:38Can we please play the entire recording?
17:41But why are you being so difficult?
17:43We want, we want the cops to come.
17:44Yes, okay. Fine.
17:46But...
17:46We, we don't feel safe.
17:47You, you, you sat right up in the back of the van and threatened us.
17:53How did I threaten you?
17:53Oh yeah, and you, you, yeah, and you, yeah, and you, yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:57How did I threaten you?
17:58Yeah.
17:58How did I threaten you?
18:01And you said you canceled our flight and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
18:06I'm not canceling the flight.
18:07Oh no, you're not.
18:08Stop it right there.
18:09So you recognize that when you left that night,
18:12they were left with the impression that you were not going to cancel the flight.
18:15Yeah.
18:15That was on the 26th, 27th.
18:17When did you cancel the flight?
18:18How many days later?
18:19October 3rd.
18:21Five days later, you canceled the flight.
18:23And now you know when you cancel that flight, by the way,
18:26if you have to buy new tickets with no notice, that it was going to cost them more, right?
18:31That wasn't my thinking at the time.
18:32Of course not, because you were really pissed off and you didn't care what it cost.
18:35As far as I'm concerned, you're paying it because you didn't care.
18:39I want to know about the keys, the key fob, right?
18:42Because that's another part of your case, 500 bucks.
18:44What's your story about the key fob?
18:46We don't have a story.
18:46We don't have a story.
18:47Okay, good.
18:48The keys are not at our house.
18:48So everyone goes to your house and they leave that car.
18:51The person whose car it is leaves the keys to the car at the house and you take an Uber
18:56to the airport.
18:57Did you believe that she had her keys when she got back and you got back from the trip, right?
19:03Yes.
19:03I would assume that she had her keys on person.
19:05I feel like she might have them right now.
19:07The police go to your house.
19:08Yes.
19:08What are the police there for?
19:10This was the day after we got home.
19:12What did you tell the police when they said-
19:14We didn't have the keys.
19:15We told the police that we didn't see any keys because we were just unpacking.
19:19Like, we haven't seen anything.
19:20You didn't tell the police that you thought that they had them.
19:22What you said is you did not know where the keys were.
19:27That's correct.
19:27Right.
19:28So I believe the plaintiffs, when they say that the keys were left at the house,
19:32that means that you were responsible for those keys to bailment.
19:36When they got back means you failed in your obligation to take care of those keys.
19:40And as far as I'm concerned, that's on you too.
19:43I have nothing else.
19:45Um, Ms. Greasy, I travel all the time.
19:48I take Ubers all the time.
19:49My keys are often in my purse.
19:51And I know that there is more to this dispute than meets the eye.
19:56I think everybody was heated.
19:58So, Mr. Greasy, I'm gonna go back to you because your countersuit just strikes me as bizarre.
20:04Because you canceled their return tickets.
20:07Why are you suing them for monies that you got back from the airline?
20:11We were just trying to show the court that what, in total, what we spent and what we received.
20:16But that's crazy.
20:17Everybody here is overreaching as far as I'm concerned.
20:20But honestly, I can't speak for my colleagues.
20:22There's no way I'm sitting up here believing that it was all him.
20:26So, right now, I'm just trying to understand the math.
20:28What did you want to say?
20:29I just, I wanted to add, and we hadn't touched on this,
20:32but there is a long history of Nick acting erratically.
20:37Continuously has arguments with people in the family.
20:39I would like to note that us three were the only people that were willing to go on this trip
20:44with him.
20:45Do you all argue with each other, the three of you?
20:47No, the three of you.
20:48Yes, we do.
20:49Yes, we do.
20:49Amongst yourselves.
20:50Correct.
20:51So, I'm not inclined just to believe the kind of mud that you all sling right now.
20:55I don't have anything further.
20:56You worked in a correctional facility, correct?
20:59Yes.
20:59Saw a lot of things, met a lot of bad people.
21:02Correct.
21:03I'm not so sure I could find you have some emotional issues as a result of your nephew,
21:08with whom you knew that there were difficult personality conflicts amongst all of you.
21:14I don't have anything else, so we're going to retire to deliberate at this time.
21:17Thank you all.
21:18The court now stands in recess.
21:20This case will be recalled.
21:21Parties are excused.
21:31What a family.
21:33Let's start with the countersuit, because for me, that's the easiest part of the case.
21:36I would dismiss in its entirety.
21:38He is suing them for portions of the trip that he canceled.
21:42The return airline tickets, that's absurd.
21:45He canceled their return tickets.
21:47Even though the $300 that he's suing for, for the transportation to and from the airport,
21:52they didn't get the benefit of that return.
21:53He did pay it all up front, but too bad.
21:56He canceled the tickets.
21:57And the rest of his claim, I would dismiss it in its entirety.
22:00I agree.
22:00As for the complaint, I would give them the money that they paid for the new airline tickets,
22:06the 4110.
22:07I don't think they made him entirely whole, but almost.
22:10I would treat the overage as some compensation for their emotional distress.
22:14I wouldn't give them anything else.
22:16They had to rent an SUV, and I'm not paying her for the key fob.
22:19She hasn't proven to me that it was in this house.
22:21It might be in her purse.
22:22She might have lost it the same way that she lost the luggage ticket.
22:25I bet you they were all together.
22:26I think she lost the key fob as well.
22:28But in any event, regardless of how it was, I didn't find her credible as to where it was
22:33or whether he had it, because the truth is, he did say to the police,
22:36I don't know.
22:37I just got in.
22:37I don't know where it is.
22:38So I don't really know what happened after that.
22:40They're still, they're just not credible, either one of them.
22:43I don't think they're entitled to any emotional distress.
22:45I think that the 1652 is subsumed in the 4110, because they would be double dipping if we
22:51gave them that as well.
22:53The 4110 includes the basic ticket and the overage.
22:56That's why I pointed out with the car rental, that they didn't use the van that he had,
23:01and they had to get around for 10 days or eight days, and so they had their own.
23:05So I'm on board with just the 4110.
23:07I agree with that, except I would give her the money back for the key fob.
23:10His actions in canceling the way he did, vicious and vindictive.
23:14Whether he was justified or not, you don't do that, especially to family,
23:17three women, foreign country, no idea if they have money to pay back.
23:21The idea that she, as a former correction officer, would have filed a false police report,
23:25would have sent the police on a wild goose chase,
23:28to go to the house in an effort to try to get her key fob back,
23:31I just don't think makes sense.
23:32I would give it to him, but I'll dissent on that.
23:34I have no problem.
23:35I'm not going to give it to him.
23:36We're unanimous as to 4110.
23:38Judge Levy is partially dissenting because he'd give her back the money for the keys.
23:43Correct.
23:43Perfect.
23:43Great.
23:44We get along so much better than they do.
23:50Court is back in session.
23:51I remind parties you're still under oath.
23:53Thank you, Bert.
23:54We've deliberated and we've reached a verdict that is unanimous as to some issues
23:59and not as to one minor issue.
24:02I'm going to start with the countersuit.
24:04Mr. and Ms. Greasy, we are unanimous in dismissing it.
24:07You cannot cancel people's flights and then say,
24:10now I'm going to sue you for the cost of the flight.
24:12You can't deprive them of the opportunity to come home in the van and say,
24:16now you're going to pay me for the van.
24:18It's absurd.
24:19It doesn't make any sense.
24:19And I think that you yourself acknowledge that it doesn't make any sense.
24:23You are just trying to make your record.
24:25And sir, you could have done that without filing what is an almost frivolous countersuit.
24:30But we were all unanimous in concluding that it should be dismissed.
24:34As to the case in chief, we are dismissing your claims for emotional distress.
24:40We're dismissing your claim for the SUV rental.
24:42We are going to order the defendant to compensate you for the three new airline tickets that you had to
24:47buy.
24:47But that's really all we're giving you.
24:49Judge Levy is dissenting, though, from this portion of the verdict,
24:52because he would have also awarded you money for the key fob.
24:56But Judge DiMango and I do not believe that you met your burden,
24:59that the defendant somehow improperly disposed of that.
25:03You know, maybe it is best go your separate ways.
25:06Don't take vacations anymore.
25:07Spend your anniversary on your own.
25:10Travel with other folks with whom you're more comfortable.
25:13But in this case, the legal ramifications are pretty clear for us.
25:17So the judgment in this case is in favor of the plaintiffs for $4,110.94.
25:23And the countersuit is dismissed in its entirety.
25:26Go in peace, everybody.
25:28This case is now concluded.
25:30Part is our excuse.
25:31We need to step out.
25:36It doesn't surprise me, because this is their pattern.
25:39This is what they've done in the past.
25:40He's got huge control and impulse issues.
25:44I have never seen that in Nick before.
25:48I mean, the guy went wacko.
25:49I've never been afraid of Nick.
25:51He doesn't really enjoy the presence of women.
25:55I really don't care what happens.
25:56We hope you never see them.
25:57Our family is fine.
25:59Blood is not thicker than water.
26:00There's quite a few problems there.
26:03Finally, the cup of ran overs.
26:05I really don't know.
26:06I'm not inside his head, and I ignore what I want to be.
