World of Warcraft is officially hosting its first-ever Pride event this June, called the Darkspear Dash. This new 'microholiday' will see players celebrating individuality and identity alongside the Darkspear trolls.

00:06of a big update to Midnight, and it's safe to say the community can't wait.
00:10Blizzard's WoW Pride event is called Darkspear Dash.
00:13It will see players join the Darkspear Trolls as they celebrate individuality and identity,
00:20with run organizer Dravi announcing the micro-holiday on Reddit.
00:23Dravi explains that, just for background, Darkspear Dash micro-holiday is based on the
00:28running of the Troll, a yearly community event Warcraft Cares started in 2016 that is held
00:35every June to benefit the Trevor Project as a sibling event to the Gnome Run.
00:39The Trevor Project is a great organization that supports young LGBTQ plus folks.
00:45Fan-led running of the Trolls has been active on North American server Feathermoon for some
00:5012 years now, acting as a fundraising event for the Trevor Project.
00:54So it's fantastic to see Blizzard host official celebrations and a fundraiser for the LGBTQ
01:00community too.
