00:03I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.
00:04In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:05Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
00:07Assalatu vesselamu ala rasulina muhammad
00:10And upon his family and all his companions.
00:12Surely Allah and His angels
00:14It is by sending blessings upon the Prophet. Therefore...
00:16O you who believe, we submit to you in complete submission.
00:18Send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah.
00:23My dear fellow believers
00:24The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
00:27Shining in the sky of our Lord
00:28Khalid bin Walid, one of the stars
00:30The life records of our Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him
00:32God willing, we will be here today.
00:33We'll try to translate it together.
00:36My brothers Khalid bin Walid
00:37Our Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him, was such a man that...
00:40the lyrics of the words
00:42burning, words, movement
00:44passing, into words and sentences
00:46He was an inspiring man.
00:48It was stated that it belonged to him
00:50In one of his sentences, God says:
00:52Don't let the cowards smile.
00:54to their eyes
00:56He said it shouldn't let him sleep.
00:58Allahu Akbar
00:5914 centuries ago, perhaps even now
01:02something related to us
01:04Khalid ibn al-Walid made this observation.
01:06Our Prophet (may Allah be pleased with him)
01:07May the cowards never sleep.
01:10And may God not let them smile.
01:12saying
01:13the situation we are currently in
01:15as evacuation
01:17the greatest to befall our nation
01:18What is one of the calamities?
01:20To fear the enemy
01:22in any way related to the enemy
01:24inability to enter a state of war or to react in any way against the hardened infidels who are allied with them
01:35This is the most comprehensive analysis of the situation we are currently in.
01:39The reason for this, as we said, is that fear has entered our hearts.
01:43Because God has instilled fear of our enemies in our hearts, we are currently unable to do anything against them.
01:52Then my dear brothers, our master Khalid ibn al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) showed us what fearlessness is, what courage is, and what Allah is.
02:02'It will also explain to us, to some extent, that faith means trusting in God, and that whoever has God on their side can stand against the whole world.'
02:11God willing, we hope so.
02:12My brothers, look, our master Khalid ibn al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) was born in Mecca in 583 AD and he said to me, "I am sad..."
02:22He was born into a well-known tribe.
02:24His father was Walid ibn Mura and his mother was a woman known as Lubaba.
02:30Indeed, Walid ibn Mura trained his son Khalid ibn Walid to become a commander.
02:37Because my dear brothers were one of the sixteen tribes in Mecca, and each of these tribes saddened me.
02:47They had different roles.
02:48Some were appointed to standard-bearer duties, to hold the standard in battles.
02:53Some of them were responsible for distributing water and serving food to pilgrims arriving in Mecca.
03:01Some of them had also been tasked with formulating war strategy.
03:05This tribe, the tribe of Khalid ibn al-Walid, was also the one that determined strategies in battle and commanded armies.
03:15It was a tribe that appointed them.
03:17Because this tribe had such a characteristic, Walid ibn Mura, the father of Khalid ibn Walid, named his son after him in this way.
03:24He had strived to raise him in a heroic and valiant manner.
03:28My dear brothers, Khalid ibn al-Walid, having reached the age of 27, visited the gate of heaven, our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
03:37'e opened up but unfortunately when she turned 27
03:41Although the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) extended the invitation to him, Khalid ibn al-Walid did not accept it.
03:48And although the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) invited him for 20 years, when he reached the age of 47, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)...
03:59He accepted the invitation.
04:00Look, my brothers, how is this possible? This man refused to believe in Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when he came to him.
04:11How did he refuse?
04:12He said, "O Muhammad, in the religion you have brought, there are certain laws and regulations that God has established on earth."
04:22There are laws.
04:23Therefore, as a worthy person, as a democrat, as a socialist, as a communist, I, God, ascend to the heavens.
04:32I reject the idea that [the organization] should dominate the world.
04:36Therefore, I do not believe that he has any authority over people on earth regarding economics, inheritance, family, or social order.
04:47I refuse to put it there
04:49He rejected the religion brought by our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
04:54My dear brothers and sisters, not only did he reject it, but he also waged war against our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
05:02But Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was such a man that he would make every effort to ensure that even his most bitter enemies would not go to hell.
05:11As I mentioned earlier, when he was 27 years old, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) invited him to Islam, but for 20 years...
05:18They did not believe in our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
05:21But there's a subtle point here. What is it?
05:24Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never lost hope in Harit bin Verit for 20 years.
05:30If our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had been one to lose hope in Harith ibn Warith,
05:36If he were a person who had given up hope on her,
05:39what we know today as the sword of Islam,
05:42Harith ibn Warith, whom we know as perhaps one of the swords of God,
05:48Perhaps he wouldn't have become a Muslim.
05:49Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was such a caller to Islam;
05:53or because this child smokes, they hit him on the head thinking, "This child will never amount to anything, he'll become a delinquent."
05:59He didn't approach people like a father who renders his child passive.
06:06But that's what we do, isn't it?
06:07At the slightest mistake or wrongdoing, we lose all hope that he'll never amount to anything.
06:14Perhaps God is not showing us the blessing of having children like Harit, my brothers and sisters.
06:21Therefore, we should never, ever lose hope in any human being.
06:26He may not pray, he may not fast, yes, he may have committed polytheism against God.
06:31But if we subtly touch his heart,
06:36If we try to speak our kind words not just to their ears, but to their hearts,
06:41Just as Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) brought forth a man like Khalid from the words of our Prophet,
06:46Even though he committed idolatry before our hands and our lips,
06:51Finally, someone who has faith in God, who previously never prayed but now prays with love, enthusiasm, and excitement,
06:57We need to know that God willing, He will also remove from this society those Muslims who rise for the Tahajjud prayers.
07:05My brothers and sisters, listen, the late martyr, God willing, Sayyid Qutb, may God have mercy on him, says:
07:10When a Muslim explains God's religion to people,
07:14his duty,
07:16And when you turn the dial on the radio and it doesn't pick up the frequency,
07:21If you don't stop turning that knob when the crackling sound starts,
07:25If you keep translating because you think you'll get a clear picture someday,
07:30Islamic preachers also say that it should be exactly like this.
07:32He says, "Keep turning that knob."
07:35Even if you explain it to them, they may not start praying.
07:37Even if you explain it to them, they may not fast.
07:40Even if you tell them, they may not investigate anything within their family.
07:44Even though you've explained it, they might still sometimes commit acts of polytheism or disbelief.
07:50But one of them says, Sayyid Qutb, may Allah have mercy on him,
07:53One day, what you've been saying will come true.
07:55rather than a crackling sound in his brain, in his heart,
08:01He will clearly take a picture of that person who doesn't pray,
08:04Perhaps that person who does not obey God will start praying.
08:08He advises us to obey God by worshipping Him.
08:14Look, my dear brothers and sisters, who is the best example of this?
08:17Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
08:19A young Jewish man who served him came to his deathbed,
08:24Then our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
08:26Or, besides, this guy is a Jew, besides, this guy is an infidel who says Uzayr is the son of God,
08:30Rather than saying he is an idolater,
08:32When he was informed that she was dying, he ran to her.
08:37He dropped everything he was doing and went straight to the Jewish young man's house.
08:41Then he went to the young man and said, "My son..."
08:44"My child," he said, "believe in God."
08:47He said "La ilahe illallah" (There is no god but Allah), and stroked his head.
08:49Then he said, "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."
08:51Then he said, after saying all this, "Become a Muslim."
08:55He showed compassion by calling me his child,
08:57The child looked up at his father,
09:00He said, "Father, what should I do?"
09:01He said, "Do what Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said."
09:05He said, "Do as he says."
09:06And there that child, that Jewish youth,
09:09As our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
09:11He recited the declaration of faith (kalima-i tawhid),
09:13He recited the Shahada (declaration of faith),
09:14And my dear brothers and sisters,
09:16He passed away from this world to the hereafter as a believing Muslim.
09:20And Rabbi says,
09:21The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that to the child,
09:23He says after he dies,
09:24"In her roses," he says, "her smiles bloomed."
09:26Allahu Akbar.
09:27So a person,
09:29Could there be anything better than preventing someone from going to hell?
09:32Is there anything better than being instrumental in guiding someone to the right path?
09:36I can't be.
09:37Here is our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
09:40A smile spread across his face because he had been instrumental in guiding him to the right path.
09:43Perhaps hearing a couple of kind words from our wives today brings a smile to our faces.
09:48Maybe we start smiling when our boss gives us a raise.
09:52Or, when we inherit something from somewhere, our faces light up with a smile, right?
09:56No, the most beautiful thing that can bring a smile to a Muslim's face in this world is...
10:00My dear brothers and sisters, the greatest joy is seeing a smile on someone's face after you have been instrumental in their guidance to the right path.
10:06This is how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided him.
10:10By the grace and permission of God, that young man also embraced faith and departed from this world, my brothers.
10:15Look, my dear brothers and sisters,
10:17So much so that our master Khalid ibn al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him),
10:21After believing in our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he lived with him for four years.
10:25And our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away four years later, and Khalid ibn al-Walid,
10:31He also served for eleven years during the caliphates of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
10:37And in total, he lived an Islamic life for fifteen years.
10:42So, he was a Muslim for fifteen years, lived according to that religion, and then passed away.
10:48My siblings, despite being late to this fifteen-year life, have managed to cram so much into it.
10:55He has accomplished so many things,
10:57Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that what this person and that person did...
11:00Based on these actions he has taken, he even said:
11:04Khalid said, "You are Allah's sword on earth, my brothers."
11:10Look, my dear brothers and sisters,
11:12The Battle of Badr took place two years after our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left Medina.
11:18And Khalid ibn al-Walid was unable to participate in the Battle of Badr; he was on the side of the polytheists.
11:23His father came and joined in,
11:24His brother arrived, Walid joined them.
11:26And so much so that his brother Walid was captured by the army of mujahideen of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Battle of Badr.
11:36And as you know, what did our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that day?
11:40Treat the prisoners you have captured here well.
11:45Don't treat them like slaves, he said.
11:48And so, Walid, who was the brother of Khalid ibn Walid,
11:52He was so affected by this treatment that,
11:55He was so impressed by that action taken by the Muslims that,
11:58My brothers who accepted Islam right there.
12:02Allahu Akbar!
12:03Look how important this is that we're talking about.
12:05People don't pay attention to the verses that are on our lips.
12:08People don't look at the hadiths that are in our language.
12:13People are looking at the verses of the Quran that we apply in our lives, my brothers and sisters.
12:18People look to the life of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as an example for us.
12:25Or does simply saying "I believe in the book, I have faith in the prophet" mean nothing?
12:31Unless that book comes to life within you,
12:34Unless the morals of that prophet become your morals,
12:39Say "I believe in the book" as much as you want,
12:42Say as much as you want that you are following the Prophet's Sunnah,
12:46This means absolutely nothing to people, my brothers.
12:49Therefore, people are now tired of spoken words.
12:54So we've arrived in an era where ears are already saturated with words.
12:58People are more influenced by words whispered in their ears than by...
13:02My dear brothers and sisters, as shown in life,
13:06They longed for the character of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
13:11Let me ask you, for example,
13:14There are people in your life, in my life, who...
13:17For example, when we say, "This man looks very much like our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),"
13:21How many men are there, my brothers?
13:23He is trustworthy; I can entrust my wife to him.
13:26I can entrust my children to him.
13:28We said that we could entrust all our possessions, property, and everything to him.
13:32How many Muslim brothers and sisters do we have?
13:34He won't abandon me.
13:36He wouldn't stab me in the back.
13:38We said, "He/She would never betray me,"
13:40How many people, for example, do we trust around us?
13:43The one we say resembles our Prophet very much,
13:46For example, we have friends, acquaintances, right?
13:49So our longing is for him, for his morality,
13:52This is Khalid ibn al-Walid's brother.
13:54Walid was impressed by this morality and converted to Islam.
13:59Perhaps many people are turning away from Islam because we are not demonstrating this morality today.
14:04Oh, that's wrong.
14:05My brothers and sisters, you shouldn't be turned away from Islam by looking at Muslims.
14:08Because Muslims do not represent God's religion,
14:12God's religion isn't bad, is it?
14:14Just because Muslims don't represent God's religion,
14:16The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was not a man of bad character.
14:19The person we will absolutely have to look at,
14:21What is a rule?
14:22And that is our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
14:25It is himself.
14:27Therefore, my brothers and sisters,
14:29rather than the situation of explaining Islam among people,
14:33Wouldn't it be even better if we tried to put him in the situation he's living in?
14:38That would be even better, of course.
14:39For example, consider this: Westerners right now...
14:41They're looking at us and what are they saying?
14:43Thinking that the work we have done reveals a contradiction,
14:47They say,
14:48Well, if you were going to take our alphabet anyway, why didn't you?
14:52Why did your grandfathers, who fought in Çanakkale, fight against us?
14:56Since you were going to adopt our legal system,
14:59You were going to adopt our education system,
15:02your wives, your daughters,
15:04You were going to dress them according to the modernity we mentioned,
15:08your ancestors,
15:09Why is Kurtul Emmare in the picture?
15:10Why in Çanakkale?
15:12Why did they fight us during the War of Independence?
15:14Just because they insulted us, what are they doing to us from the outside like this?
15:18Unfortunately, they're saying things that show our words and actions don't match, aren't they?
15:24But of course, this is perhaps a sad reality that we are experiencing in our region right now, unfortunately.
15:30But there is also a true fact that...
15:33keeping the generation of the Companions alive on earth,
15:36truly followed the Prophet of God,
15:39Are there people on earth who believe in God like the believing companions of the Prophet?
15:43Of course there are.
15:43Who are they?
15:44This is the Afghan people in Afghanistan right now,
15:48Isn't it the oppressed people of Gaza who are suffering in Gaza?
15:51What are they doing?
15:52Even the most advanced military forces in the world,
15:54As long as we have God's help,
15:57Aren't they proving to us, my brothers, that they cannot defeat the Muslims?
16:02Israel on one hand,
16:03While America was attacking from one side,
16:05Even Gaza, which is a tiny bay,
16:08What's the reason they couldn't capture it in two years, my dear brothers?
16:12There is a living Islam.
16:13Not the verses that are on people's lips,
16:16not hadiths that live on the lips,
16:19they had made their lives miserable,
16:21Because they demonstrated the faith of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
16:25Aren't they the best examples for us in this world?
16:29They killed 70,000 innocent people in Gaza, maybe 100,000, but they say that the world has only looked at the people of Gaza in just two years.
16:38They say 5 million people, my brothers and sisters, have converted to Islam.
16:42Allahu Akbar. You know how we say, "One dies, another is put on the bus"? Well, Gaza demonstrated such a moral compass that they died, and another was put on the bus.
16:50But perhaps they resurrected thousands of people on Earth.
16:54Therefore, my brothers, Sayyid Qutb, may Allah have mercy on him, says:
16:57By God, he says, a small neighborhood where Islam has been practiced, a small street where Islam has been practiced, thousands of interpretations have been made.
17:07He says it is far wiser and more beautiful than the lessons and thousands of hadith conferences that have been held.
17:13Look, my brothers, Verit saw the morals of Muslims right after this incident, and he became a Muslim after this incident.
17:21Islamic historians say that he later migrated from Mecca to Medina and then to Munawwara, and the first thing he did was...
17:29He wrote a letter to his brother Khalid ibn Warid. In other words, he had converted to a religion.
17:34Therefore, after converting to this religion, he goes to the men in such and such an association to fight for the propagation of this religion.
17:40He hasn't bothered to preach religion to the people at that particular foundation.
17:43He initially made this effort to prove that the invitation started with his own elite.
17:51So, my brothers wrote a letter from Medina to Khalid ibn al-Walid, asking him to convert to Islam.
17:59"Come, my dear brother Khalid, and believe in the Prophet of God," he said.
18:05So let me ask you, my brothers and sisters, we too come and participate in such scholarly gatherings, in these discussion circles,
18:11We hear verses from God, and we hear hadiths from the Prophet.
18:14So, who do we tell all this information to in the first place?
18:17Who are we talking to?
18:19So if we're not talking about our wife at home, if we're not passing on what we've heard here to our children at home,
18:25If we don't bring these issues up with our own family, our elders, our relatives,
18:30So, is there nothing wrong with the work we've done either?
18:32It already exists.
18:34These Quran courses, these summer schools that we're talking about, aren't being established to do things that we haven't already been doing.
18:43Really?
18:43Isn't it true that the religious teacher, whom we haven't mentioned, tries to teach those children about religion during the three-month summer vacation?
18:49Unfortunately, this is because we have delegated the right to education to the religious leader.
18:54because we attempted to delegate this right of education to certain preachers and imams,
19:01My dear brothers and sisters, unfortunately, an Islamic society is not forming.
19:05For him, the invitation and the training all begin at home.
19:09This is how Walid, Khalid's brother, shows us that education begins at home.
19:15But that's not the case right now.
19:16Look, the guy picks up a gun, a shotgun.
19:19Unfortunately, while this training should start at home,
19:23Instead of providing an education that instills fear of God,
19:25Because he thought this child should only be given an academic education that involves teaching mathematics or only science,
19:33Unfortunately, that lovely child may have suffered trauma.
19:36Perhaps he became obsessed with another thing,
19:39With a gun he picked up, he unfortunately managed to shoot nine of his friends in the head and also kill his teacher, my brothers.
19:47What is the reason for this?
19:48The reason for this, unfortunately, is that we are trying to delegate the education of our children to others.
19:54Unfortunately, we won't benefit from a child he has raised from others.
19:58First, we will try to educate our child in our own home.
20:02My brothers and sisters, we need to transform our own homes into centers of learning, centers of learning, homes where generations who fear God are raised.
20:11May Allah transform everyone's home into a place of learning.
20:15where the verses of Allah are discussed in everyone's homes,
20:18May God grant us the opportunity and influence to have homes where the sayings of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, are also discussed, my brothers and sisters.
20:27Look, my brothers, as we have said, Walid extended such an invitation, and on that day
20:33There was no communication network like WhatsApp.
20:35Or perhaps they weren't living in an age of communication like Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
20:40But there was a means of communication, and what was it? The letter.
20:44Believe me, if we were to bring Walid to this environment today, the Walid who wrote the letter to his older brother Halid back then...
20:51Honestly, to extend an invitation to a Muslim somewhere, whether it's WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, or whatever it is,
20:59Using whatever communication tools are available on social media in the best way possible, perhaps extending an invitation to reach out and help people.
21:08He felt the need.
21:09Are we doing that, my brothers and sisters?
21:11For example, when we go to a gathering ourselves, do we send a gathering invitation to someone to invite them?
21:18For example, we might say, "There's a class at such and such a place, let's go together," and we invite people to that class, right brothers and sisters?
21:26It's not working, is it?
21:27If it's not working, then why are we even here?
21:29Isn't that why we come here – to take these as examples, to try and implement them, even in the smallest ways, in our own lives?
21:37So if we come here just to listen to ourselves, to understand ourselves, and then it doesn't have any effect on the outside world, then woe to us, my brothers and sisters, woe!
21:45Oh, how sad! Let us pray that God will grant us such awareness.
21:51Now, my dear brothers and sisters, as you know, the Battle of Uhud took place in the third year of the Hijra.
21:58And my brothers, as you know, the Battle of Uhud took place in two phases.
22:02The first phase was the phase in which the Muslims were victorious, and the second phase was when 70 archers under the command of Abdullah ibn Jubayr were dropped onto the Aynayn hill.
22:12The stage at which the Muslims were defeated when Khalid ibn al-Walid surrounded and attacked them from behind.
22:19In fact, my brothers, Khalid ibn al-Walid used strategy that day and inflicted great damage on the Muslims who came from the Ayneyn hill.
22:27Do you know who Khalid ibn al-Walid was?
22:29Khalid ibn al-Walid was a man who had touched the blood of Hazrat Hamza.
22:34So, a man who has Hamza's blood on his hands.
22:36Who was Khalid ibn al-Walid?
22:38Musab ibn Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) was the killer of our master.
22:42Who was Khalid ibn al-Walid?
22:43A man whose hands are dripping with the blood of Abdullah bin Jash.
22:48But my brothers, look, even though he was the killer of Musab and the killer of Hamza, Khalid ibn al-Walid was able to become a Muslim.
22:59because he is a person who has the potential
23:02Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not lose hope in him.
23:05You know how we say today, "I have this many sins, I've committed this many sins, I've drunk this much alcohol, I've gambled this much..."?
23:11I played games, and that's how many women I had my eye on.
23:13We often say things like, "God won't forgive me," right?
23:16I swear to God, my dear brothers and sisters, perhaps none of us have committed a sin as great as the one Khalid committed.
23:23Which one of you has committed a greater sin than killing and murdering Hazrat Hamza?
23:28Which one of you would not shed tears when you hear the news that the one you loved so much, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), has died?
23:35My brothers, you have committed a sin, a sin like killing a man like Musab bin Umeyr, a sin like being his murderer.
23:42Is there anyone among you who has committed such a sin?
23:44Look, even someone who commits such a sin can later repent and find the path to guidance.
23:51Let us not be angry with God because of the sins we have committed.
23:55Let us never turn away from the religion brought by our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
24:01Look, Sufyan al-Thawri (may Allah be pleased with him) says:
24:06"By God," he says, "as long as my faith and belief are strong, even if my sins are as numerous as the foam on the surface of these seas..."
24:17"I will never lose hope in God," he says.
24:21Then we too have sins.
24:24I'm not saying this in terms of committing sins, but if we have sins, then we do have them.
24:28Let us not lose hope in God's mercy.
24:31If anyone were to kill him, it would be Khalid ibn al-Walid, and if he knew that it was impossible for such a person to be guided to the right path.
24:39The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) knew this and did not offer prayers or supplications to Khalid ibn al-Walid.
24:45My brothers, listen, later, after the Battle of Uhud, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Walid and said:
24:52Regarding Khalid, Walid said, "I am surprised that a man as intelligent and clever as Khalid could not be a Muslim."
25:03Subhanallah.
25:05The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was surprised by this.
25:07We're surprised too, aren't we, today?
25:08What can a doctor, known for being very intelligent, actually do?
25:12How can they form a gang called the "newborn gang" and what do they do with the children?
25:16They are killing my brothers.
25:18We're surprised, aren't we?
25:19These guys are very smart.
25:21We say that this man is very intelligent and has become a computer engineer, but unfortunately, how is it possible that such an intelligent man...
25:27We're saying he's a hacker, right?
25:29We say he's hacking other people's computers and so on, right?
25:33Or we say that the man is a great civil engineer, a great contractor, a very clever person.
25:40How is it possible that such an intelligent man acts without fear of God?
25:45So, they've stolen from the cement, bricks, and iron, meaning they'll collapse in even a small earthquake.
25:50We're surprised that they build houses that look like sandcastles.
25:54Even our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was surprised.
25:56But my brothers, the wisdom behind this lies in the fact that our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, nurtured them with his own hands.
26:03In the answer given by our master Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), they came and said, "Umar said..."
26:09Did you have no sense at all?
26:11Didn't you have any ideas?
26:13When asked how they could bury a three-year-old child alive during the Meccan period
26:18Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, weeping:
26:21"Back then, we had intellect, we were very intelligent men, but unfortunately, back then, we lacked guidance," says Allahu Akbar.
26:30So, my brothers and sisters, just because a person is very intelligent or very clever doesn't mean they will find guidance.
26:39Guidance is a blessing, a gift, given directly by God Himself.
26:44So when we are surprised, we say, "How do such intelligent men do such things?"
26:49Know that they may be intelligent, they may be clever, but because they lack faith, guidance, and light in their hearts...
26:55Unfortunately, those men's situation is similar to that of an eye in the absence of light.
27:01Can the eye see its surroundings if there is no light somewhere?
27:05For the eye to be able to see, to be able to look at its surroundings, to be able to observe them, it is absolutely essential...
27:14Light is necessary.
27:16Therefore, for this mind, this intelligence, this intellect to be able to proceed in the direction that God has willed...
27:23God needs to send guidance to that mind.
27:26If God has not revealed guidance to that mind, then that mind, as I said, even if it is very intelligent, is worthless.
27:32He will be condemned to do things that God does not will.
27:36Look, my brothers and sisters, our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him...
27:41As you know, in the 6th year of the Hijra, an agreement called the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was made.
27:47Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) only took his swords with him.
27:50They are going to Mecca with 1400 companions to perform Umrah.
27:55And when they arrived there, Khalid ibn al-Walid had also prepared a team to assassinate our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
28:04Look, our scholars say that information reached our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Khalid ibn al-Walid had prepared this assassination team.
28:13Gabriel delivered the news.
28:14Allahu Akbar.
28:15Look, who are we talking about?
28:17The sword of Islam, they say, is referring to the sword of Allah.
28:19We're talking about it.
28:21This man assembled an assassination team to kill our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
28:26And Gabriel came and gave him the news.
28:28That's the kind of man we're talking about.
28:31And our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says that Islamic historians,
28:35He says that on that day, at Hudaybiyya, he lined up 1400 of his companions in a single row on the flat plain.
28:41And they performed the prayer of fear.
28:43They performed a prayer of fear.
28:45Khalid came from further away, and when he saw my Muslim brothers praying in a single row, he was so awestruck, so deeply moved.
28:55My brothers gave up on their assassination plans because they were affected by the situation.
29:00He's the one telling the story.
29:01"I was very impressed when I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his army praying in a single row," he says.
29:07And he says, "Because of the prayers they performed, I refrained from doing this evil."
29:12Allahu Akbar.
29:13So what does this mean?
29:14Look, my brothers, Muslims coming together and praying in congregation is actually both a political message and a military one.
29:23It is a message.
29:24So when we come together as one, lined up like a string, what do we say to the enemy?
29:30We have placed our trust in Allah, and we have given our hearts to you.
29:34So isn't the biggest message to say that we are a political jihad army that has God behind it?
29:41So, what else are we actually doing?
29:43We are conducting a military drill together while praying as a congregation.
29:48Praying in congregation is definitely a military exercise.
29:51Because why?
29:52Doesn't everyone bow at the same time, everyone prostrate at the same time, and everyone give the salutation after the imam gives the salutation?
29:59So, we are the expression of an organized, structured movement, he says.
30:04But if Halit were here today, my brothers, if he were to see the congregational prayers we perform, he probably wouldn't feel any unease, unfortunately.
30:14I'm just saying this as an example.
30:16So, we're not doing this, and hopefully we won't, but if there are any among us who are doing it, I hope they stop, my brothers and sisters.
30:21So we try to be the last ones to go to Friday prayers, right?
30:25We were trying to go to Friday prayers recently, and as soon as the Friday prayers were over, we saw the crowds at the door, ready for the race to begin.
30:36We're trying to get out of there as quickly as possible, right?
30:38It's as if someone has forced us in there, and we just want this Friday sermon to be over as soon as possible, for Friday to be over.
30:45We can rush out of mosques and prayer rooms just to get away from here, right?
30:49Or, if Khalid ibn al-Walid had come to one of our usual gatherings, we would have arrived exactly at eight-thirty for a conversation that was supposed to start at eight-thirty.
30:59Or maybe we arrive a little later, and as soon as the conversation is over, we try to be the first to leave, right?
31:05Allahu Akbar.
31:06Do you know what this shows, my brothers?
31:07This shows whether a person cares about something or not.
31:12If we care about something, Halit will be influenced by it.
31:16If you don't care about it anyway, then no one will be affected by your prayer, and no one will ever be affected by the sermon you give.
31:25Therefore, the religion we practice is, in a way, a religion of showing people, my brothers and sisters.
31:31Unless we show that sincerity, why should I care about a prayer that you perform without giving it importance, like a prayer performed by chickens eating feed?
31:40Should I pay attention?
31:41If people were to say, "Why should I care about the prophet who commanded me to pray, or about God who commanded me to pray?" wouldn't they be right?
31:47Professor Lokman.
31:48If you don't even care about the prayers you perform or the religious gatherings you attend, why should I care? Wouldn't people think that way?
31:57Then the work will start with us.
31:59What will we do ourselves first?
32:01We will try to improve ourselves.
32:03First, we will try to apply these things in our own lives.
32:07My brothers, look, later our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left Hudaybiyya and made an agreement, and a year later he reached the following understanding with the Meccan polytheists.
32:18They will come to Mecca a year later.
32:20They will stay for three days, perform their Umrah pilgrimage unarmed, and then return.
32:25Then, my brothers, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Mecca, performed his Umrah, and stayed there for three days.
32:31Then Veli called him and asked, "Where is Khalid?"
32:35Subhanallah, he's asking about his uncle's killer.
32:39He is asking about the killer of Musab bin Umeyr.
32:41"Where?" asks Khalid.
32:42"Allahu Akbar, where is Khalid?" he asks.
32:44What would you do?
32:45You would have cursed at her and insulted her profusely, wouldn't you?
32:47That's exactly what happens.
32:49So, you can't say anything to the guy.
32:52He doesn't even dare to admit the mistake he made.
32:54He murdered the guy's uncle!
32:57They brutally murdered the companions of the Prophet, whom he loved most.
33:01But he still says, "Where is Khalid, peace and blessings be upon him?"
33:05Walid said.
33:06And Walid said, "O Messenger of Allah..."
33:08He said that Khalid left Mecca because he was afraid of being influenced by our planned pilgrimage and becoming a Muslim.
33:16Allahu Akbar.
33:17Aren't Muslims included today as well?
33:19We are performing Umrah with our two billion Muslim population.
33:21We are making a cross.
33:22Who is afraid of us, my brothers?
33:24They're practically calling out to you, aren't they?
33:26He says, "The more you come, the more money I'll earn."
33:29Saudi America.
33:30And he asks, "What do I do with this money?"
33:32He says he would help America to support Israel in bombing Gaza, right?
33:35Therefore, we have no real value in the world.
33:39Why are we spending the money that will be used to drop bombs on our own brothers and sisters?
33:44Because we handed them over to these sellout agents, what is the world doing about our pilgrimage and our Umrah?
33:51My brothers and sisters are not affected.
33:52It is unaffected.
33:53And I fear that Islam is not currently satisfied with its existing state.
33:58And unfortunately, because he's not satisfied with his current balance, he's searching for balances that will truly give him faith in himself.
34:07I don't know if Islam will find these resources from the West, from Spain, from here, from there.
34:12But somehow, Islam is unfortunately not satisfied with the current state of affairs, my brothers.
34:18Because of his displeasure, the glory of God and the help of God have been withdrawn from us at this moment.
34:24God will enable us to do deeds that please Him.
34:28And may He grant us the ability and power to perform deeds that will impress even the unbelievers when they see us.
34:34My brothers, listen, Khalid said, "Because the Messenger of Allah would be influenced by us," he went outside and left Mecca.
34:44And my brothers, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
34:50Verit said, Khalid said, what a good man he actually is!
34:55"Honestly," he said, "I'm very seriously worried about it."
35:00"What if," he said, "if only he had come, if only he had believed?"
35:04Verit received these words and sent them back to Khalid, writing a letter.
35:08Khalid ibn Warit says:
35:11Some of the sayings of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reached me, and he says, "I have come to believe because of this."
35:17The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
35:19Khalid is a very intelligent man, how is it that such an intelligent man does not believe? I am worried about him.
35:26I was very touched by the concern she expressed about me in that sentence.
35:29Even though he/she has no ulterior motive or benefit from me,
35:32He asks me why Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had such a concern.
35:36And my brothers, this is why I became a Muslim," he says.
35:39So, because of the value you place on people, people,
35:43They might be Muslim.
35:44When someone gets sick, feel concern for them.
35:48Pick up this phone, make a call, consider a hospital visit, grab a piece of candy,
35:53Go there with a packet of candy, visit her.
35:56By God, out of the thousands of hadith lessons you could give,
35:59This is perhaps far more impactful than thousands of verses you might recite, my brothers and sisters.
36:03Therefore, Islam is about showing the value we place on people.
36:08I did not show the same respect to the companions of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
36:11What did the companions say?
36:12If you went and asked any of them, wouldn't they all say, "The Prophet loves me the most"?
36:17Because why?
36:19He was truly a man who cared deeply for the Companions, for his friends, my brothers.
36:24But we're not like that.
36:26We can't do that.
36:27Let us pray that Allah will grant us the grace to be among those believers who are like that.
36:33If we're not like that, let's try to be, friends.
36:36What can we do to God to be like that?
36:38Let's pray.
36:39And because he had impressed our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he immediately set off for Medina.
36:48Who did he see on the road?
36:50He did not share the same faith as him.
36:51He met Amr bin As twenty years too late.
36:55He asked, "Amr, where are you going?"
36:56He said, "To believe in the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
36:59"I'm going to embrace Islam too," he said.
37:00"Let's go together," he said.
37:02My brothers and sisters, these paths cannot be traversed alone.
37:07You need friends by your side on this journey.
37:10You need to have friends.
37:12Even on the way to the Prophet, God gave him a friend.
37:16Like Khalid ibn al-Walid, and Amr ibn al-As.
37:18And they left.
37:19They went to embrace Islam together with the Prophet.
37:21Therefore, in order for me to practice this cause, this religion, I absolutely need to have friends.
37:27I need to have friends I can walk alongside in this cause, right?
37:32I draw my strength from them.
37:35I can accomplish things thanks to the strength they give me.
37:38Just as they're distancing themselves from me, I'm also showing weakness, aren't I?
37:42Therefore, God will draw us to Islam, He will call us to paradise.
37:46God grants us friends who will invite us to Him when we call upon Him and who will increase our righteous deeds.
37:51Let us pray that He will grant it to us, God willing.
37:54He came and placed the sword in front of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
37:57He said, "O Messenger of Allah, this sword is now yours."
38:01"Whatever you say," he said, "I'll do it."
38:05The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Allah!"
38:08Khalid said, because he brought him into the circle of faith, because he bestowed guidance upon him.
38:12He praised God, saying, "Praise be to You."
38:16And Khalid said, "This sword is one of the swords of God."
38:20And he said, "This sword will never be sheathed again."
38:23And my brothers who handed over their swords to Khalid ibn al-Walid.
38:27And he said, "From now on, you will use this sword in the cause of God."
38:32Look, my dear brothers and sisters, there's a subtle point here.
38:35What does our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do regarding people's character traits?
38:39It's leading towards Islam, isn't it?
38:41Khalid ibn al-Walid was a skilled swordsman, but to this day he has aided disbelief.
38:47So where did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guide him to become a skilled swordsman?
38:52He guided them in the name of the advancement of Islam, in the name of being a mujahid (fighter) of Islam, right?
38:57So, for example, we had no prior acquaintance with Islam, the book, or the prophet until today...
39:05If we spent our money on women, if we spent it in bars and nightclubs
39:10Or if we spent it on other illegitimate things
39:13From now on, God has bestowed upon me such a blessing of money...
39:17So what am I going to do then?
39:18From now on, I will direct and use that financial blessing in the way of Islam, right?
39:23I will donate to the Muslims and to our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
39:27I will know that just as it guided Khalid, it is guiding me 14 centuries later.
39:32For example, until today I was a teacher at a school who didn't know Islam, the Quran, or the Sunnah.
39:37I became acquainted with the book and the Sunnah.
39:39Up until now, I've told children about so-and-so as their great leader.
39:43No, from now on, when I begin to speak of the one and only leader, the great leader, is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)...
39:49So I became a Muslim, using the blessing given to me in the way of Allah, didn't I?
39:56Or perhaps I became a Muslim teacher.
39:58Until today, I didn't know about God, I didn't know about the holy books.
40:01I got into a contracting business.
40:02I was stealing everything to deceive people.
40:05After that, I met God.
40:08From now on, I will build houses in the Islamic architectural style and I will build earthquake-resistant houses.
40:14When I focused myself here, determined not to deceive Muslims or other people...
40:18This is how Khalid ibn al-Walid was beautifully channeled into the role of a warrior in the name of Islam.
40:24Like the advice given by our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
40:28I too would be among the believers who heed that advice in this era, my brothers.
40:33Or perhaps my dear brothers and sisters.
40:34I was a very handsome man until today.
40:37Girls were always hitting on me.
40:39In middle school, in high school, in university.
40:41Then, because these girls were hitting on me, I used my beauty to my advantage, I used it to my advantage.
40:47Then I met Musab ibn Umayr.
40:49I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
40:51From now on, I will transform my beauty into my identity as an inviter.
40:55And on the day we say, "I will use the beauty that God has given me to explain Islam to people,"
41:01We will be doing exactly what Khalid did.
41:04May God grant us all such a heart, such enthusiasm.
41:08Let us pray that if we have any existing mistakes, God will grant us the ability to correct them after becoming acquainted with Islam and the Prophet.
41:15Look, my brothers, Khalid ibn al-Walid fought 33 battles and he was never defeated in any of them.
41:22With the permission and grace of God.
41:24Because what did our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say to him?
41:27"You are one of God's swords, O Khalid," he said.
41:30And finally, my dear brothers and sisters, let me tell you one last thing and then we'll conclude.
41:34One day, some young men came to Khalid ibn al-Walid and said:
41:40He converted to Islam late in life, so they never saw him lead prayers.
41:44They said, "Khalid, lead us in prayer," and he replied, "No."
41:47He said, "I won't lead the prayer."
41:48Because why?
41:49He can't read the Quran properly.
41:51No, no, they said it's a hair.
41:53Those in the back also wanted to pass by a little bit to tease them.
41:57Let's see how Khalid's pronunciation and recitation are.
42:00And they did.
42:01Khalid started and managed to recite the Fatiha with difficulty.
42:04Then, with great difficulty, he managed to study for an extended period.
42:06And those in the back laughed.
42:08Khalid said:
42:09"By God," he said, "I said it."
42:11He told her, "I have come back after 20 years, and I have faith."
42:15"I had never seen a lectern before that day," he said.
42:17He said he didn't go through any formal education.
42:18And after I believed in the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) 20 years later...
42:22He gave me a sword.
42:24And I have always been on the battlefields of jihad.
42:27And I didn't have time to sit at my desk, he said.
42:31"Don't laugh at me, my brothers," he said.
42:33Let's not laugh, shall we?
42:34Sometimes we have shortcomings, sometimes we make mistakes.
42:37Let's not hurt each other, shall we?
42:39Let's not laugh.
42:40But brothers, let's get to a subtle point here.
42:44The book we have described
42:46Let's also make an effort to learn in a good way.
42:49Khalid
42:50Jihad prevented him from leading the prayer line.
42:52So what stopped us?
42:54Because we have not read the Quran properly,
42:57Because of the book of God, which we couldn't even read with proper pronunciation (tajweed),
43:00We said that he should rule the earth
43:02If we can't even read the book properly
43:04What prevented us from reading the book properly?
43:07Which of our tasks did it interrupt?
43:09Jihad had prevented him,
43:11the battlefields had held them captive,
43:13He detained you, sir.
43:14Is it your job or your position?
43:16Is it your food or your spouse?
43:18Is it your money or your possessions?
43:19We need to reconsider these things.
43:21Therefore, my noble brothers,
43:22And the book of God
43:23will read beautifully
43:25to be in a certain state
43:28let's make an effort
43:30Hopefully, this will be one of our lessons today.
43:33May God grant wisdom to our minds.
43:35discernment in our eyes,
43:36May it fill our hearts with love.
43:38All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
Yorumlar
