00:04When you're looking ahead to this weekend, what do you think is most different about this draft
00:10than the many of others you've covered? Well, it's a little different in the fact that they've
00:16got two first-round picks. Now, this has happened previously in their history, but it's been a while,
00:24not since 2008. So the fact that they got two first-round picks, I think they've got to be
00:32able to take advantage of that. One of the things that I've discovered is that when they're picking
00:38between 1 and 17, they're usually pretty good. They're usually hitting a lot of good players
00:46along the way. So that pick at 12 should be a credible player, a future Pro Bowl player,
00:56what you're hoping for. And then 20, you can be versatile at that. But as for being somewhat
01:05different, just the fact that once again, two years in a row, almost three years in a row,
01:11you're in that top 15 of the draft. When you look at that second pick right now that's at 20,
01:17do you see the Cowboys trading up into that sweet 17 of yours? Do you see them trading down? What
01:24is
01:24the likelihood that we could see either happen? Yeah, I think the likelihood is probably trading
01:28down because they don't have much from draft capital to trade up. You don't have a second-round
01:37pick. You have only one-third. You have a fourth. And to be able to trade up, somebody's going to
01:44want
01:45that third-round pick. They might want more than that and maybe something next year. I think
01:53quality and quantity have to be even in this draft for the Cowboys. I think they need more picks
02:02if they can find them. So trading down and then come up with quality guys if they can get another
02:10second-day pick with that 20th pick. Because I think if I'm looking at a lot of the mock drafts,
02:18and they call them mock for a reason, right? So it's not the Bible. But from 20 to about 25
02:26or 26 in a lot
02:28of these drafts predictions, teams are taking players at positions the Cowboys don't need.
02:35So if you're at 20 and say there's three defensive players you wouldn't mind having, well then trade
02:43down to maybe 25. And the percentages are one of those three players is still going to beat them.
