SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS – Con el objetivo de mantener la paz social y buscar soluciones a las demandas comunitarias, la Gobernadora Civil de la provincia Duarte, Xiomara Cortés, se pronunció sobre las negociaciones sostenidas con los grupos colectivos que convocan a un paro de labores para el próximo 27 de abril.

Durante su intervención, la representante del Poder Ejecutivo explicó que, aunque se han llevado a cabo asambleas con los dirigentes populares, aún no se ha logrado un acuerdo definitivo. Cortés enfatizó que su gestión ha realizado un levantamiento de las obras prioritarias, aclarando que no es factible cumplir con el pliego total de demandas en el tiempo solicitado.

"Hemos estado abiertos al diálogo con las mejores intenciones. Mi deber es gestionar las necesidades de la provincia, siempre que estén al alcance del presupuesto y las capacidades del Gobierno", afirmó la funcionaria.

Sobre la movilización "motorizada"

Al ser cuestionada sobre las actividades de "calentamiento" y las marchas motorizadas organizadas por los colectivos, la Gobernadora confirmó haber recibido las comunicaciones correspondientes. Sin embargo, marcó una clara línea de separación entre sus funciones administrativas y el control del orden público.

Cortés subrayó que su rol es puramente de gestión y enlace entre la comunidad y la Presidencia. Indicó que la responsabilidad de autorizar y supervisar dichas movilizaciones recae directamente sobre el Ayuntamiento y la Policía Nacional, instituciones encargadas de garantizar el orden en las vías públicas.

Esperanza en el diálogo

A pesar de la falta de consenso inmediato, la Gobernadora se mostró optimista, señalando que aún queda tiempo antes de la fecha pautada para la huelga. Hizo un llamado a los dirigentes a mantener la vía de la comunicación abierta para evitar que se afecte el dinamismo económico y social de San Francisco de Macorís.
