00:00The showdown over Trinamul Congress's political strategy body.
00:05Sources said that IPAC pausing operation in West Bengal.
00:10IPAC, which is a political consultancy firm engaged by the TMC,
00:15allegedly shut down operations in Bengal.
00:18But the TMC has come out with a strong denial.
00:22The TMC has issued an official statement saying that
00:25we have come across a media report claiming that IPAC has halted its operation in West Bengal for the next
00:3220 days.
00:33This claim is completely baseless and appears to be a deliberate attempt to create confusion on the ground.
00:40TMC has gone on to say that the IPAC West Bengal team remains fully engaged with the All India Trinamul
00:46Congress
00:47and campaign operations are continuing as planned across the state.
00:52These narratives are a deliberate attempt to distract from the clear mood on the ground.
00:57The people of Bengal are fully capable of seeing through these attempts and will respond democratically.
01:03Let's listen in to what Mamadha Banerji had to say about these reports.
01:32The facts are not just what
01:37you are
01:37that is it coming from a weather to this day.
01:40I have to give this ice to go through!
01:48But today the president told me that I don't want to do anything,
01:57do anything to do, do anything to vote, do anything to vote,
02:01that's how he does it!
02:31Continue.
02:32The use of ED is against the agency is a deliberate political attack on the TMC.
02:41I am being joined by Tapas Sengupta who is covering West Bengal for us.
02:45Tapas, you have seen how this entire situation with the IPAC has developed over the last few months.
02:51Now, reports suggesting that the IPAC may be closing operations in West Bengal
02:57and the Trinamul Congress calling these reports fake news and misinformation.
03:02What more do we know?
03:04Well, see, a few days back, there was a media report that IPAC is all set to shut down its
03:11operations
03:13till 2nd week of May.
03:14That's to be very specific, till 10th of May.
03:18And post that, there were a lot of political uproar as far as Bengal politics is concerned.
03:23But Trinamul Congress Supremo had assured that they will render all help and support to IPAC and its employees.
03:29But Trinamul Congress at the same time had also come up with an official statement stating that no office of
03:37IPAC have been shut down
03:39and they're fully operational and they're working this 2026 elections.
03:43However, we are yet to hear anything from the IPAC authorities.
03:47As of now, there is a buzz that a mail was circulated among all the employees from the HR department
03:53of the IPAC,
03:54which stated that they are temporarily asking all the employees to go on a short leave.
03:59And after that, they will reassemble post 10th of May.
04:02And following that, they will take a firm decision.
04:05But as of now, the politics is playing out here in West Bengal.
