Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the situation in other regions does not necessarily apply locally, citing differences in context, history and existing cooperation mechanisms.

00:01What happened in Hormuz is not something to be emulated.
00:05We will try as far as possible to see that the Straits of Malacca does...
00:14What happened is Hormuz is not repeated in the Straits of Malacca.
00:24The circumstances, the factors are all different.
00:29What happened to Iran, but nothing is faced like what Iran has been facing all these years,
00:41sanction, that kind of thing.
00:43I think Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, we are not facing the same circumstances as Iran.
00:49So there is no reason that the Straits of Malacca will face the same situation as the Straits of Hormuz.
00:58The three countries, meaning the Straits of Malacca, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia are countries that are strongly upholding the principle of
01:11the United Nations,
01:12free flow of trade as well as free navigation around the area.
01:18So unless one of the three countries adopt a stand which is hostile to...
01:26and will jeopardize the economy of the world, then maybe, but the situations are not the same.
01:33So don't equate the Straits of Malacca similar to the Straits of Hormuz.
01:39Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, we are a country that abides by the rule of law, international law.
01:47Excellency, I have another question regarding the...
01:50Some companies participating in this exhibition have record and history of participating in genocide in Gaza and other countries in
01:58those places in the world.
01:59So don't you think that is against the principles of Malaysia that these countries or these companies to participate inside
02:08Malaysia land and some events in Malaysia while they are committing crimes against humanity?
02:16I think that is a recurring issue that we faced two years back.
02:29I think the same thing and I think surely tomorrow somebody will gather to submit memorandum and all those things.
02:35I think we respect their position, their stand.
02:39But this is a trade show.
02:42As I've said, it is a neutral platform.
02:45And even if those companies are not participating, actually they have offices in Malaysia all along.
02:54Only once in two years they come out or maybe every year they will show their products when we organize
03:01DSA or even when we organize Lima.
03:04Malaysia may also buy the product.
03:06If that product is better and between Malaysia and that government we have arranged facilities and understanding that can facilitate
03:20our procurement.
03:22So it also enables us to determine because at the end of the day we may end up to be
03:30one of the buyers.
03:34So it Cheers.
03:35As you're here, how many đơnios do not Lancashire vape know todos THK well as well.
03:39So in this case, what has happened to be one of the buyers or the buyers and metrics made it
03:39to be one of the buyers.
03:39So in this case, I think they釈まで year-boldturn prices, 75% of $%&&% TO $
03:39$&s$$%$ bank.
