00:00Good day.
00:01If you are flying to, from or over the gulf this week, this is what you need to know.
00:08Since February 28, airspace across parts of the GCC has been disrupted due to ongoing
00:14regional conflict.
00:16That means delays, diversions and cancel routes for thousands of passengers.
00:22I am Abrar and this is airlines talk.
00:25In the next few minutes, I will break down which airlines are affected, which routes
00:31are closed and how to check if your flight is at risk.
00:36Let's get you cleared for takeoff.
00:39With facts, not panic.
00:42As of April 17, 2026, which is today, GCC airspace is experiencing major disruptions due to regional
00:50conflict.
00:51With Kuwaiti airspace closed and other operating under severe restrictions, while some airlines
00:57like Oman Air are resuming limited routes, Dubai, Bahrain from April 18, many flights are suspended.
01:06Travelers should check with the airlines flight status before you travel anywhere in the gulf.
01:13Now, I will break it down for you, which airlines are operating, which airlines have suspended
01:21or canceled their operation.
01:23The GCC countries as we know is for Gulf Cooperation Council of which there are six member countries,
01:32including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait.
01:40And Kuwaiti airspace is closed and totally closed for all flights and all flights are canceled
01:48from and to Kuwait.
01:50Bahrain is open with limited operations.
01:54Gulf Air is operating sometimes via Dhamam that is in Saudi Arabia for transit purposes only.
02:02And Oman, Muscat and Salalah airports open with minimal schedule changes.
02:09Oman Air is resuming select flights from April 18.
02:13Now, UAE, DXB, that is Dubai International, AUH, that is Abu Dhabi, Zayed Airport, Sharjah
02:24and Rasul Qaimah, Zayed Airport and Sharjah have reduced schedules, flights are subject to delays.
02:32Saudi Arabia, major airports remain operational but subject to schedule changes.
02:37Oman Air resuming flights to Dubai, Bahrain and Khasab effective April 18, 2026.
02:45Salaam Air resuming flights to Sharjah on April 20th.
02:49Gulf Air expanding services from Dhamam that is in Saudi Arabia, as I said earlier, via ground
02:57transport to international destinations like London, Paris, Mumbai to circumvent regional closures.
03:03Qatar Airways offering complimentary date changes to flights between February 28 and June 15 due to operational constraints.
03:13And there is a suggestion and that is if you are flying from North America or from any European destination
03:23or any airport from where you are planning to fly to this region or in South Asia or Asia,
03:31I would rather suggest that you should avoid transiting in Gulf countries and you should rather take any other route
03:39or you can take, you know, Turkish Airways or Turkish Airlines and you can transit in Istanbul or any other
03:45country.
03:46But I am not here to promote any airline or any country.
03:50And this is basically for imparting or giving you information or knowledge that is based on facts.
03:58And the closure of airports has been a quite, you know, a source of concern for all those who are
04:06traveling back and forth,
04:08not only from the Gulf region, but across the Asia.
04:12Those who use this facility, transit facility in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, Doha or Bahrain,
04:20they are basically badly hurt, hurt in the sense that they have been facing a lot of difficulties at various
04:30airports.
04:31Some passengers have been reported stranded at these airports.
04:35I will continue to update you at least twice a week on every Friday and Tuesday.
04:42And this is my first video on this issue and I hope you will not only subscribe to my channel,
04:51you will like the video and you will leave your comment or if you have any question,
