00:21an avid outdoorsman known for his bushcraft skills and experience surviving in the wild
00:30but this particular adventure pushed him further than he expected
00:34he headed out to camp near a detention center with a disturbing history before it became what
00:42it is now it was once a prison and according to local stories two inmates escaped and were never
00:50found with remains later discovered somewhere in the surrounding woods i got a bit of a strange
00:56one for you today i am i'm at the dungable detention center which has had some some history around it
01:05basically it didn't used to be a detention center used to be a prison
01:11i think it was 2002 it changed to a detention center
01:15and in 1962 two inmates escaped fled into the woods there's a big woodland here
01:24and uh yeah didn't find them thought they got away a month later they found their remains
01:32in some water tanks that are somewhere up here i've done a bit of research i'm hoping to find them
01:39and i'm gonna camp in the woods there because apparently there's been all sorts of rumors and
01:45stories about ghosts and noises and you know just weird goings-ons so i'm gonna go find out about it
01:52i don't believe in ghosts just to clarify never seen one never felt a presence so this will be a
01:59bit
02:00different to your other ghost hunting ones so it'll be interesting see how we go
02:06oh this is gonna be fun
02:15according to my compass
02:22we're supposed to be heading
02:26straight east
02:32well listen and reading
02:40turn the arrow so that it's at the east
02:42and then when we line up the north with the north needle
02:46we're heading east so
02:50according to my map we're supposed to walk through the woods
02:54for about 500 meters and then you come to a clearing
02:59and then hopefully i'll find them the area has since gained a reputation for disturbing noises and
03:07unexplained sightings but not being a believer in the paranormal he decided to test himself by camping
03:15there alone overnight using his compass he navigated toward a specific spot he had in mind
03:23hiking deeper into the woods as an uneasy feeling began to wash over him long before the sun had even
03:31set
03:32it was subtle at first but enough to make him feel unsettled in a place he would normally feel comfortable
03:40it's now officially completely dark i'm trying to find a spot to camp in the woods here
03:45and it's just pitch black in here so gonna hunt around a bit just find a bit of level ground
03:51and i'm not going to be too fussy and uh get a fire going
04:06it should work for the fire
04:12yeah fire fixes everything
04:18got my uh tarp set up got my fire going
04:22time to spend the night in the spooky woods
04:25so far nothing creepy it's just a lovely woodland i got myself some salami or burgwurst is what it's
04:33called it's basically salami and i got a nice sirloin steak so i cooked them up
04:40as darkness settled in he gathered wood and built a fire trying to ground himself in the routine he knew
04:47so well the crackling flames lit up the trees around him but the calm didn't last long
04:54so
05:17all right
05:41Strange noises began echoing through the woods, sounds that didn't resemble anything
05:46clearly human or animal, rising above the crackle of the fire and cutting through the
05:53night air.
05:55He reviewed the footage and was convinced it wasn't wildlife, but in that moment, he had
06:02no idea what was surrounding him.
06:04Just check the recording, and you can hear it, I don't even know what, like, I actually
06:20recorded something, and I heard something, and it wasn't like birds, or a deer, I don't
06:32know what the hell it was, and I actually, I actually heard something, and I don't know
06:43what the hell to do, because I don't, I basically came out here to sort of joke at Ghost Hunters,
06:54and this was going to be like, come out here, camp in haunted woods, and prove that there's
07:07nothing going on.
07:12I'm freaking crap on myself now, actually crap on myself, and I don't even know, I heard
07:20the noise again, I've packed up my bags, I'm getting the heck out of here, I'm not messing
07:27about with this stuff, um, yeah, I'm just going to get out of here, it's going to be a bugger,
07:33because I've got to climb through them woods again, but, obviously, I'm not very welcome
07:41here, and, I'm okay with that, I think, I think it's time to go, so, yeah, let's go.
07:55I'm just hoping to catch it again, but, to be honest, at this point, I don't really care
08:01about even filming things, so, yeah, I'm just going to get out of here, I'll try and film.
08:12The second time was enough, he immediately began packing up, deciding whatever was out
08:19there didn't want him staying any longer.
08:21With trembling hands and a racing heart, he moved through the woods in complete darkness,
08:28trying to retrace his steps, but the situation only worsened when his compass began malfunctioning,
08:35spinning, and throwing him off course, increasing the very real risk of getting lost.
08:48What the hell?
08:56I'm not spending the night in here.
09:08I'm just going to have to follow, like, instincts.
09:13There are planes flying, I'm going to try and use them to navigate.
09:20This is messed up, man.
09:21This is actually messed up.
09:24What the fucking noise again?
09:36I don't even know where the hell I'm going.
09:39I'm just going to get the fuck out of here.
09:47Oh, man.
09:51As if that wasn't enough,
09:53the same unsettling noise seemed to follow him through the trees.
09:58The footage suddenly cuts,
10:01capturing the severity of the moment without needing to show more.
10:05For someone as experienced as him to be that shaken,
10:09says everything about how intense the situation truly felt.
10:16An outdoorsman, known for pushing himself in extreme conditions,
10:21often camping in heavy rain and unpredictable weather,
10:26usually embracing the challenge rather than avoiding it.
10:29The harsher the elements,
10:32the more determined he becomes.
10:35This time, with rain forecasted,
10:38he headed out as he normally would,
10:40expecting just another demanding but manageable camp.
10:48I think I found another perfect location.
10:51I'm going to go for the basher off this tree,
10:53across the tree you're hanging off.
10:55Nice and flat in the middle.
10:57Right by the river.
10:58That'll help sleep.
11:00It's a bit windy.
11:01It's due to rain,
11:02which is why I'm here.
11:03I think this is a good location.
11:05Let's get set up.
11:20We're right on cue.
11:21Here comes the drizzle of rain.
11:23My favourite aspect of wild camping.
11:26Well, that and a brew.
11:28Maybe a brew in the rain.
11:29Even better.
11:35He hiked deep into the woods
11:37as the wind began to pick up
11:40and rain started falling steadily,
11:42setting up camp
11:43and preparing food
11:44as part of his usual routine.
11:47The afternoon passed peacefully enough.
11:50But once darkness arrived,
11:52the situation escalated quickly.
12:21All right.
12:24So it's half twelve
12:25and it looks like
12:29the river
12:31has started to rise
12:32just a little bit.
12:34So we're going to have to pack up
12:36and get out of here
12:37just in case it rises
12:38any more
12:39and we won't be able to get out of here.
12:43I'm going to say if I'm sorry.
12:45I'm pretty sorry
12:46that's what I mean.
12:56It's losing
12:58a couple of inches
13:02and it's only half twelve
13:04so if there's another
13:04what, eight hours of rain maybe?
13:09It might be a lot
13:10to go higher
13:11so I'm going to pack up
13:12and get out of here
13:13and get some more of it.
13:15The rain intensified.
13:18Wind battered his shelter
13:20and conditions began shifting
13:22from uncomfortable
13:23to dangerous.
13:25Around midnight,
13:26the river beside his camp
13:28began rising
13:29at an alarming speed
13:31forcing him to weigh
13:33his options carefully
13:34deciding whether to stay put
13:36or pack everything up
13:38in worsening weather.
13:45That was amazing.
13:48That was unbelievable.
13:51I had to swim.
13:52I had to wrap me basher
13:55around me bag
13:56and swim
13:58across the river.
13:59The time is now
13:59four o'clock in the morning
14:00but when I got across the river
14:04I had to swim across a field as well
14:08which is absolutely crazy.
14:11Hours later
14:12the danger became undeniable
14:14as the river flooded
14:15the banks breaking
14:17and water surging
14:18through his campsite
14:19causing him to lose
14:21some of his gear
14:22and even damaging his phone.
14:25The footage stopped
14:26shortly after
14:27but the lesson was clear
14:29ignoring the warning signs
14:32of nature
14:33nearly cost him
14:34far more than equipment.
14:39Jen and Will
14:40travel full time
14:41with their dog Tucker
14:42living life on the road
14:44in their RV
14:45and documenting
14:46their journey
14:47across the United States.
14:49Their new chapter
14:51began with a major move
14:53from Florida
14:54to California
14:55chasing a fresh start
14:57and a new adventure.
14:59The day began
15:00under dull skies
15:02and the emotional weight
15:04of leaving family behind
15:05lingered in the background
15:07as they set off.
15:09They found a campground
15:11to rest for the night
15:12and despite the bittersweet start
15:14everything seemed to be going smoothly.
15:18The next morning
15:19they packed up
15:20and decided to explore
15:22downtown New Orleans
15:23parking their car
15:25and heading out
15:27to take in the city.
15:28It was supposed to be
15:30a normal travel day
15:31just another stop
15:33on their journey.
15:34But when they returned
15:36to their vehicle
15:37everything changed.
15:42Yeah, we just called
15:44the police
15:44about the report.
15:49It's got stuff
15:50in there.
15:52Well, no, I mean
15:53I had some other tools
15:54nothing really that major
15:55more would have just been
15:56like a pain in the butt
15:57but they didn't take
15:58any of that.
16:03truthfully
16:04it was stuff like
16:05you know
16:05toe straps
16:06and
16:07and
16:07my
16:08that light dad
16:09got me
16:10They took all that?
16:11No, no
16:11I'm saying
16:12all that stuff
16:13it's not worth value
16:15but it would have been
16:15a pain in the butt
16:16to go and get
16:17all that stuff again.
16:19Okay, let's leave.
16:25I got Jem's
16:27Valentine's Day card
16:28and they just
16:28ripped it to shreds.
16:31So
16:32New Orleans
16:33put a little damper
16:34on our trip.
16:36So
16:36we
16:36truthfully
16:37didn't feel
16:38the most comfortable
16:38in New Orleans
16:39being completely honest.
16:41We were kind of like
16:42hey
16:42it's
16:43it's
16:43St. Patrick's Day
16:44weekend
16:44and maybe
16:45people were just
16:46being a little crazy.
16:47We didn't know
16:48if we'd ever really
16:49come back
16:49to be honest.
16:50And then we came
16:51out to the car
16:51and I'm like
16:52Jen
16:54why'd you leave
16:54the window down?
16:56And she's like
16:56I didn't leave
16:57the window down
16:58and I'm like
16:58get closer
16:59and I'm like
16:59somebody busted
17:00out our window.
17:02So
17:03we
17:04don't
17:05didn't really have
17:05anything of value
17:06sitting out.
17:07No.
17:07On the way
17:08like
17:09out of
17:11New Orleans
17:11like when we were
17:12walking
17:12we even said
17:13like
17:13I don't know
17:14if I want to
17:14come back
17:15here again.
17:15And it's like
17:16hard because
17:17it might just be
17:18because it's
17:19St. Patrick's Day
17:20weekend
17:20but it just
17:21didn't feel
17:21like a safe
17:22area.
17:23It didn't feel
17:24like somewhere
17:24I wanted to be.
17:26I can tell you
17:26one thing
17:27if I had kids
17:27I would not
17:28go there.
17:28Correct.
17:29I'm so glad
17:30I'm so glad
17:30we didn't bring
17:30Tucker
17:30because I
17:31wouldn't
17:31I would have
17:32just not
17:33walked around
17:33when I got
17:34there and
17:34saw the way
17:35it was
17:35I wouldn't
17:35have walked
17:36around with
17:36Tucker there.
17:37Truthfully
17:38I don't even
17:38feel safe
17:39at this Lowe's
17:39right now.
17:41So
17:41where the RV
17:42park is
17:43feels a lot
17:44better.
17:44It's like
17:4445 minutes
17:45away so
17:45we're just
17:45going to
17:45try to get
17:46this done
17:46and get
17:46out of
17:47here.
17:48I think
17:48this just
17:49scarred me
17:49from the
17:49city to be
17:50honest with you.
17:50the windows
17:52had been
17:52smashed
17:53glass
17:54scattered
17:54and it
17:55was
17:55immediately
17:55clear
17:56someone
17:56had
17:56broken
17:57in
17:57and
17:57taken
17:58some
17:58of
17:58their
17:58belongings.
18:00What had
18:01started as
18:02an exciting
18:02new beginning
18:03now felt
18:04unstable
18:05and uncertain.
18:07After contacting
18:08the police
18:09and trying to
18:10process what
18:11had happened
18:11they admitted
18:13they no longer
18:14felt safe
18:14in the area.
18:16With their
18:17journey
18:17already off
18:18to an
18:19emotional start
18:19this incident
18:21only intensified
18:22their doubts
18:23and left them
18:24questioning the
18:25direction of
18:25their adventure.
18:28Two friends
18:29returned to
18:30the woods
18:30where they had
18:31previously built
18:32a small fort
18:33planning to
18:34take photos
18:35and relive
18:36a familiar
18:36adventure
18:37but this
18:38visit
18:39quickly took
18:40a different
18:40turn.
18:44We just
18:45saw someone.
18:53God
18:53I'll have
18:53the shower
18:54when I
18:54get home
18:54there's
18:55so much
18:55weeds.
19:00That's my
19:00fort right
19:01over there.
19:01That's my
19:01fort over
19:02there.
19:05And for
19:06you guys
19:07that are
19:07wondering why
19:07I'm not
19:08continuing
19:08the fort
19:09series
19:11this is
19:11why.
19:14this is
19:15why.
19:24Look you
19:24can see
19:24him.
19:27You see
19:27that guy
19:27right there
19:28in the middle
19:28of the screen?
19:30There's
19:31someone out
19:31here in the
19:31middle of the
19:32woods with
19:32us.
19:49Someone's
19:49watching us
19:50too.
19:52We're in the
19:53middle of
19:53nowhere and
19:53there's some
19:54guy watching
19:54us.
19:58Here we
19:59are in the
20:00woods here.
20:02Whoa.
20:03Okay here's
20:03the fort
20:03guys.
20:07As they
20:07approach
20:08their fort
20:08they notice
20:10someone moving
20:11between the
20:11trees.
20:13It wasn't
20:14just another
20:14casual hiker
20:16passing through.
20:17Something about
20:18the man's
20:19slow pacing
20:19and lingering
20:20presence felt
20:21off.
20:22As though he
20:23was watching
20:24them rather
20:25than simply
20:26walking by.
20:27When they
20:28reached their
20:29fort they
20:30discovered it
20:31had been
20:31destroyed.
20:33At first
20:34they considered
20:36the nearby
20:36creek as the
20:37cause but
20:39the more they
20:39looked around
20:40the less
20:41that
20:41explanation
20:42made sense.
20:44Here's the
20:45fort.
20:46Um.
20:49Where's the
20:49sticks?
20:53Every single
20:54log that was
20:54here is gone.
20:56And to prove
20:56that this was
20:57my fort.
21:02You guys can
21:03see the blue
21:03stream.
21:06This
21:06was
21:10my fort.
21:12This was
21:13my fort.
21:15Where did the
21:15sticks go?
21:16Where did that
21:17go?
21:18I mean there
21:19must have had to
21:19have been some
21:21insane water
21:22coming through
21:22here if that's
21:24gone because
21:27there's my knife
21:28holder.
21:29My knife holder
21:30is still there.
21:31I put a slit in
21:32this log right
21:33here.
21:33That's my
21:33knife holder.
21:36Let's see
21:36over the
21:37creek.
21:38But that's
21:39what I'm
21:39saying.
21:40How could
21:40this little
21:40creek over
21:41here flood
21:45this entire
21:46place out?
21:47There's no way
21:47that creek
21:48could flood
21:48this entire
21:49place out
21:49because
21:49literally
21:49look my
21:50fort's gone.
21:52Um.
21:53The flood
21:54did not take
21:55our logs away.
21:56There's another
21:57fort builder
21:57back here.
21:58Um.
21:58I don't know
21:59who it is.
22:01But um.
22:01If you guys
22:02saw my video.
22:02I don't know
22:03if I put this
22:03on video.
22:05This ladder
22:05right here.
22:09This ladder
22:10I pit by my
22:12fort.
22:13Way over
22:14there.
22:15So I don't
22:15know if the
22:15flood washed
22:16it over here.
22:17They made it
22:18sit right there.
22:19No I'm just
22:19kidding.
22:19It's obviously
22:20clear that
22:20someone took
22:20it.
22:21As they
22:22searched
22:22the area
22:23they discovered
22:24another fort
22:25not far away
22:26leading them
22:27to question
22:28whether someone
22:29had dismantled
22:30theirs
22:30and rebuilt
22:31something of
22:32their own.
22:33The presence
22:34of the man
22:35nearby
22:35only added
22:37to the tension.
22:38The footage
22:39eventually stops
22:40but the unease
22:42remained.
22:43Whether he
22:44was harmless
22:45or not
22:45the feeling
22:47of being
22:47observed
22:47in the woods
22:48stayed with
22:49them.
22:51Months later
22:52they returned
22:53and this
22:54time
22:55the situation
22:56escalated
22:57to the point
22:57where they
22:58were forced
22:59to run
22:59for their
22:59lives.
23:01Camping
23:02once again
23:02in the same
23:03woods
23:03this time
23:04with friends
23:05they tried
23:06to settle
23:06in as usual
23:07building a fire
23:09and attempting
23:10to enjoy
23:10the night.
23:12Then one
23:12of them
23:13noticed something
23:13in the distance
23:15a clown
23:16standing
23:17among the
23:17trees.
23:19Back in
23:202016
23:21clown sightings
23:22were spreading
23:23everywhere
23:24but seeing
23:25one in real
23:26life
23:26deep in the
23:27woods
23:28where they
23:28had already
23:29experienced
23:30unsettling
23:31encounters
23:31sent panic
23:33through the
23:33group.
23:35And it's
23:36starting to
23:36go out here
23:37but we're
23:37getting ready
23:37to go home
23:38because I
23:39have to do
23:39a little bit
23:40of homework
23:40tonight.
23:41But after
23:42the homework
23:43I'm probably
23:44going to
23:45start editing

24:44Viewers were left questioning whether someone had been deliberately targeting them or whether those woods were hiding something far darker
24:52than they initially believed.
24:56Nature can be peaceful, but it can also turn without warning.
25:01Whether it's something in the trees, rising water in the dark, or someone watching from a distance, being alone outdoors
25:10changes everything.
