00:12Tommy, usually traveling alongside his wife as they explore life on the road, is no stranger
00:19to camping deep in the wilderness. But after experiencing strange noises during a previous
00:26visit to the Appalachian Mountains, he returned alone, hoping to discover what had been causing them.
00:35Conditions like this that I bought this camera. It is juicy out here today. Pisgah National Forest.
00:49With it being foggy like this, it almost feels primordial. Is that the word?
00:56Two or three videos back. I was out here by myself at night and caught four very distinct whoops.
01:10The area I'm in now, I'm almost positive.
01:17This is where I heard them from.
01:21The other two would have been back over this ridge here. You know, I've done quite a few of these
01:26videos
01:27at night and that's great, but I need to come out here during the day, kind of get my bearings
01:39about me.
01:40So when I am out here at night, I kind of know what to expect around a lot of these
01:44places because I haven't been to them during the day.
01:46I've only been at night. Which, let's be real, makes it creepier for me, along with everybody else.
01:53So we're going to stroll along the trail here. Just keep our ears open.
02:04From the moment he arrived, the conditions made the atmosphere even more unsettling.
02:10Dense fog covered the trail. Visibility was almost non-existent and every step deeper into the woodland felt more isolated
02:20than the last.
02:22Tommy slowly followed the trail, stopping frequently to listen to the sounds around him as he searched for whatever had
02:30unsettled him during his previous trip.
02:39I can hear it hitting the leaves, but it's not really hitting me.
02:45I forgot to tell you, as soon as I shut the car off and opened the door,
02:52right there by where the car is, I heard some big limbs cracking.
02:59You know, where they're just breaking limbs.
03:02When I say they, I mean just the limbs breaking because, you know, trees do that.
03:09Or is it something telling me to stay away?
03:12I don't know, because I'm the only one out here.
03:17There are people that come out here and do day hikes and stuff, but I am alone.
03:24That's one reason I wanted to come out with the weather like it is.
03:29Because I thought maybe it would be quieter out here.
03:45Well, that's been placed there, because that's the bottom of it, and there's nowhere anything broke off.
03:54That's not it down there.
03:56I was thinking maybe that was the root of it.
03:59Let me put my glasses on and we'll see.

04:07I thought maybe that was the stump where it had broken off, but it hasn't.

04:20The question I have is, why is that laying there when there's, it was obviously placed there.

04:36So it didn't just fall there.
04:38And I'm telling you, as soon as I stepped over it, something back out in this direction whooped.

04:57The deeper he ventured, the heavier the atmosphere became.

05:04The fog continued to thicken, and every unfamiliar noise only added to the growing feeling that something wasn't right.

06:46I will tell you I'm a little bit creeped out knowing that I'm having to walk back where
06:51heard the whoop come from but I don't feel threatened but I am creeped out

07:22eventually he decided enough was enough and carefully retraced his steps back to
07:27his vehicle after giving the area another chance he came to one conclusion
07:34the risk simply wasn't worth it between the dense fog the silence and the
07:40unexplained noises around the trail something about that place convinced him
07:46it was time to leave

08:04night what should have been another peaceful trip turned into an encounter
08:10he wouldn't forget back on July 27th 2025
08:17Mark had spent the day fishing before settling into his camper for the night
08:22everything had been quiet until he suddenly woke in the early hours of the
08:27morning and realized he wasn't alone

09:59Inside his camper was a complete stranger.
10:01Mark immediately called out, telling the man he had the wrong camper, but at first, there
10:06was nothing but silence, making the situation even more unsettling.
10:13Eventually, the man spoke, awkwardly laughing as he apologized, claiming he had somehow ended
10:20up in the wrong camper.
10:22Whether he was intoxicated or under the influence, Mark never found out.
10:28But thankfully, the man left without causing any further trouble.
10:34The encounter ended peacefully, but waking up to find a stranger standing inside your camper
10:41in the middle of the night is enough to leave anyone shaken, and Mark knows the situation
10:47could easily have ended very differently.
10:52Big Guy Camping is a YouTuber who enjoys pushing himself outside his comfort zone with challenging
11:00stealth camps.
11:02Wanting to take things even further, he decided to spend the night near a supposedly haunted
11:07bridge, a place many locals avoid after dark.
11:12Arriving as daylight slowly disappeared, he spent time exploring the bridge and the surrounding
11:18woodland, already struggling to shake the uneasy feeling that something about the place
11:25didn't feel right.
11:26Guys, welcome back to the channel.
11:28This is Big Guy Camping, and I am Big Guy.
11:31And tonight, we're going on probably the most terrifying stealth camp in my entire life.
11:36We're going to be camping right here at the infamous Tinker's Hollow Iron Bridge.
11:43And I'm going to be honest with you guys, this one really does have me spooked to my core.
11:52This place is known for a lot of pretty terrifying folklore.
12:00And like any good story, everything is kind of based in truth that has some validity to it.
12:08We're going to be camping right there behind that concrete wall, right on the infamous bridge.
12:16This is said to be one of the most haunted places in all of the state of Ohio.
12:23And from past experience, and growing up two miles down from here, that's truth.
12:31In a minute, we're going to get our stuff out, try to get set up.
12:37I'm going to calm myself down a little bit, gather my bearings, and move on from there.
12:44Battery on this camera is already dead.
12:50That fast.
12:53I know I've heard tales that that can happen in places like this.
12:56Not that I'm saying that's what's going on.
12:59All I'm saying is that didn't take long.
13:02So I'm going to have to switch out batteries here in a few minutes.
13:04And it's already starting to get dark.
13:07And I can feel it in my chest a little bit.
13:12This is exciting.
13:14But it's also scary.
13:17After gathering himself, he committed to the challenge and began setting up camp.
13:25As darkness settled over the area, he shared two disturbing stories linked to the location,
13:32setting the atmosphere before the night had even properly begun.
13:36Back in about 1935, a group of four young adults came down here because they were going to go camping.
13:44Two couples.
13:46Their parents knew where they were going.
13:48They came down here.
13:50Apparently, they had set up camp.
13:52But whenever they did not return the next day, people went on a search looking for them.
13:59They came down here.
14:00They found the car.
14:02The car was abandoned with all of their belongings still inside.
14:06The gear that they had used was missing.
14:10Nowhere to be found anywhere in this forest at all.
14:13And they were never found again.
14:15All four of those young adults came up missing and were never found.
14:20Now, of course, local stories says that maybe they ran off together.
14:26Maybe they had just decided to leave out.
14:29That was nothing uncommon for that time for people to just run away and start living a life somewhere else.
14:34But what are the chances of four young adults ditching the only means of transportation that they have
14:41with all of their money, all of their belongings,
14:44without taking anything with them, including clothes and sentimental things from their home?
14:50What are the chances of that happening?
14:53So we're going to do a little something different tonight.
14:55We're going to use some Coops honey mustard, y'all.
15:01My light just died.
15:04Just now.
15:08That light is never dead.
15:11Look at that.
15:11There it is.
15:12That's the light that I use when I'm cooking.
15:14That thing...
15:17This thing is fully charged.

15:20That thing just went off.
15:23It is not remote control either.
15:25Man, this place scares the hell out of me.
15:27There it goes again.

15:33Oh, my God.
15:34All right.
15:35And now it's working just fine.
15:39That thing went out twice in a row.
15:43This thing has been on charge all day long.
15:46I put it on charge this morning so that I knew it would be ready for tonight.
15:52And now it's staying on.
15:55Yeah, this place scares the hell out of me.
15:59It really does.
16:01Especially now that this light is still on.
16:05It's staying on now.
16:09That's crazy.
16:10While preparing food, something strange happened.
16:14His light, which had been fully charged earlier that day, suddenly began losing power for no obvious reason.
16:23It unsettled him immediately.

16:26And as the night continued, so did the feeling that something wasn't right.
16:32Before long, unexplained noises echoed through the woodland and across the bridge, each one making him more anxious than the
16:41last.
16:44I cannot see anything down there, and I am very scared to go down there.
16:50This camera is making it appear like it's light out here, but it is not.
16:53We are surrounded by woods, and it is dark.
16:57Oh, my God.
17:02Man.
17:08At the end of the bridge, and on that side there.

17:14Calm down, man.
17:23Yeah, I think I'm psyching myself out of here.
17:32All right.
17:34Yeah, it's like the darker it gets back here, the more I'm freaking out.
17:42Right up there is those bluffs.
17:52All right, I'll go back to the spot and hang out.
17:55Man.
18:01Yeah, here's our bed set up, and our camera can light out, too.
18:08So this is where we're sleeping.
18:17No matter how hard he tried to calm himself, the atmosphere only became more intense.
18:25Eventually, he climbed into camp and attempted to get some sleep, but at around 3 a.m., enough had become
18:33enough.
18:34Unable to cope with the situation any longer, he abandoned the campsite, leaving his gear behind before returning the following
18:42morning to collect it.
18:44Dodge at about 2.30, 3 o'clock in the morning.
18:49There's just something about this place that I just cannot deal with.
18:55And I ended up leaving some of my stuff here, so I'm back now to grab it up.
18:59That's how fast I got out of here.
19:01I actually left things here.
19:02Look at this.
19:05I just tucked my sleep pad.
19:07I even left my cup, which is not something that I do.
19:14So, man, in the daytime, this place is gorgeous.
19:22But something about this place just changes at night.
19:29And basically, what I'm saying is, if you're somewhere doing something like this, and you feel an absolute uneasiness that
19:36you cannot get over,
19:37you need to trust your instincts and get out of Dodge.
19:40And that's what I did last night.
19:43Whether it was simply his mind playing tricks on him or something hidden within those woods,
19:48the experience stayed with him long after the night had ended.
19:56Christine is a solo adventurer known for her backpacking, camping, and outdoor journeys.
20:03She's constantly exploring new places and challenging herself on unfamiliar trails.
20:10But one recent experience reminded her why trusting your instincts can be just as important as carrying the right gear.
20:19While hiking along a new trail, Christine crossed paths with a man and greeted him as she normally would.
20:27His response immediately left her feeling uneasy.
20:31Very strange, almost ominous feeling on trail this morning.
20:37Might just be in my head, but I hear hawks screeching in the distance.
20:42This sort of like droning sound of the windmill and just being in the sun-beaten desert alone.
20:52I've seen a couple other people, but I don't know any of them.
20:55They're all strangers to me.
21:01A couple minutes ago, a guy walked past me.
21:04Um, had a front backpack and a back backpack.
21:10And I said, hi.
21:12And he just had like the thousand yard stare.
21:15It was very bizarre.
21:17I always like to listen to my intuition with things like this.
21:20So I guess I'm just going to be a little bit on alert and try to avoid being around that
21:26guy as much as possible.
21:28Because something ain't right.
21:35Although she continued her hike, the uncomfortable feeling never disappeared.
21:41Later that day, she decided to leave the trail, found a campsite, and settled in for the night.
21:47Still unable to shake the feeling that something about the encounter hadn't been right.
21:53The following morning, she continued her journey, reflecting on what had happened the day before.
21:59I convinced myself that I was being dramatic, um, about yesterday.
22:04I was just stopping for a little break under, um, this shaded tree.
22:09And I have about four more miles to do.
22:11So like two more hours of hiking.
22:14There is kind of something else going on though.
22:17I had an instinct about a person yesterday.
22:21It was just like, I felt something was off with this person.
22:26I felt like I did not want to be around him.
22:29I had to pass him on the trail at one point.
22:32And it was just a matter of like, keeping my head down and trying to put as much distance between
22:38us as quickly as possible.
22:40And I was hoping that he wouldn't come so far, or maybe he was just like, headed to camp somewhere.
22:51Because I don't know that he's a PCT thru-hiker.
22:54Unfortunately, I did see him today when I stopped for my long break at the Mission Creek.
23:01I was the first one sort of in our group of friendly people to arrive there.
23:09And immediately I went down to the creek just to soak my bandana, to cool my body off.
23:13Because it was like 90 something degrees.
23:17And I brought my pack down there with me.
23:19And then I realized like, oh, I'm going to want to sit in the shade.
23:22So I put my pack back on after having taken it off briefly.
23:27And went to go find the shade.
23:29And this guy who was down by the creek when I got there, immediately grabbed his stuff and like, booked
23:36it to the shady spot.
23:38And I'm like, oh my gosh, I don't want to sit near him.
23:43So I put up my rainfly to make my own shade.
23:47And then someone I'm hiking with today, he came by shortly.
23:56And he went down to the creek, but he left his pack by me.
23:59And I was not like in the line of sight of the creepy guy or anything.
24:04But basically, this other girl that I've met, she came through and she was looking for shade.
24:14And there was not enough by me.
24:16So she like, went to like, walk past him to look for a shady spot.
24:21And he told her that he should not, she should not come over to where he is.
24:27He didn't want to be around people.
24:29And she's like, oh, I'm just walking by.
24:30He's like, go away.
24:35Like, honestly, there's something wrong with this guy.
24:37And I then left after a couple of hours hanging out for the midday break.
24:49And I saw him again in this section.
24:54So, I don't know.
24:56I want to get away from him.
25:01Something's wrong with him.
25:02And I don't like him.
25:04Christine explained that she had encountered the same man on another occasion.
25:08And once again, his behavior stood out.
25:12She also witnessed him acting rudely towards another woman on the trail.
25:16Only reinforcing the uneasy feeling she'd had from the beginning.
25:22Whether the man meant any harm or was simply unpleasant towards others.
25:28Being isolated on a remote trail with someone who makes you feel uncomfortable
25:33is enough to remind anyone why listening to your instincts can be so important.
25:42Dan, better known as the English Woodsman,
25:46has spent years documenting his camping adventures across the British countryside.
25:53Comfortable in the outdoors and experienced in wild camping,
25:57he knows nature can be unpredictable.
26:01But one overnight trip reminded him just how quickly conditions can change.
26:08I really don't think this is light wind.
26:12I just looked at the weather.
26:14Fair to mind, our gusts.
26:18And I'm only sleeping in a bivvy bag.
26:22So, thankfully, I'm going to be low at ground.
26:27So, I shouldn't get affected by the wind too much.
26:31We got permission to use this woodland donkeys years ago.
26:36And there's always, you know, young kids around and other people camping in here.
26:41So, he's pretty calm now.
26:43He's like, you can use it but don't trash it.
26:46Yeah, and he came yesterday.
26:48Sent me a message this morning saying there's been some young lads around
26:52last night hacking away at trees.
26:55So, yeah.
26:56I had to go have a look at that one.
27:14Camping in a woodland where he had permission to stay, Dan planned a simple night beneath the trees
27:21using only his bivvy bag.
27:23After hiking to a quiet clearing, he settled into his usual routine,
27:29setting up camp and preparing for the evening ahead.
27:33As time passed, the wind steadily became stronger.
27:39Surrounded by tall trees with only minimal shelter,
27:42Dan couldn't ignore the growing concern the conditions were beginning to change.
27:57We're going to look at the ground but the wind is meant to die off later.
28:01I've just been up now and there's light rain later on.
28:04So, I hope they've got that wrong.
28:10I've had a bit of look around, see if there's any widow makers.
28:13You know, big branches, what could fall down and, you know,
28:16put me out of my misery.
28:21I feel sorry if the person finds me but, yeah, put me out of my misery.
28:25I'm not a joke in there.
28:28But, yeah, you have to have, like, a little look around.
28:30If there's any high branches that are snapping or look, you know, dead and all that out there.
28:35What can land on you through the night?
28:37Even so, he carried on as normal, preparing his fire,
28:41cooking his evening meal and trying to enjoy the night.
28:45Once darkness fully arrived, the rain began.
28:50By midnight, the weather had become relentless.
28:54Strong winds and heavy rain battered the woodland,
28:59leaving Dan exposed with very little protection.
29:03Oh, I don't think even being under the trees has helped me very much because you can see, but,
29:11yeah, it's, it is turning out.
29:17It is turning out to being a bit of a bad campus.
29:22Well, I'm not sure how well you can see me,
29:24but what I've done is I've used the GoPro,
29:26what I'm obviously recording off of,
29:28and I've sort of, like, used it as a stand at the top of the bivvy.
29:32So, what that's done is it's allowed airflow to come through.
29:37And, obviously, it's more of a, like a porch,
29:40so the rain don't come into the bivvy,
29:42but I can breathe, basically.
29:49About ten past eleven last night with the rain and the wind
29:54and just this set-up that I was using,
29:58I just packed up and I went home.
30:00I just left.
30:03And the thing is, if I had the Miltec bivvy,
30:05I could have zipped it up and left the top part open with a bit of mesh.
30:09It would have been all right, probably.
30:10But sleeping in that bivvy bag, the OXBush Pro bivvy,
30:15with that foil mat,
30:18yeah, it wasn't suitable for the conditions that I was in.
30:23Realising the conditions were only becoming more dangerous,
30:27he made the difficult decision to pack away his camp and leave.
30:32Nothing serious happened that night,
30:34but staying any longer could have turned a simple camping trip
30:40into something far more dangerous.
30:43Whether it was a stranger inside a camper,
30:46unsettling encounters on remote trails,
30:49or unexplained noises deep in the wilderness,
30:53each one is a reminder
30:55that nature can become unpredictable in an instant.
