00:00What's up? It's Paul from Guitar World and I am here in NAMM 2026 and what better booth to start
00:05your NAMM, my favorite, Martin guitars. But if you're going to do it right, you got to grab the
00:12president and CEO of Martin. Thomas Ripson. Paul, thanks. It's great to see you. Great to see you too.
00:18Part of this, I'm trying to do, these are a few of my favorite things segment. So I have Thomas
00:23here
00:23to show me one of the things that really stood out for me is this Paisley Martin. Correct. The first
00:31Paisley Martin in 200 years, nearly 200 years. It couldn't just be a generic Paisley, it had to be
00:37a Martin Paisley. And so obviously we started with, well, what's the size body? It's an M size,
00:44quadrupolo. The top here, the Paisley, we Martinized it by introducing features that sometimes you see
00:51on other instruments like inlays. For instance, if you double click, you will notice this feature
00:58here, which is, we call it a snowflake, which sometimes is on bridge inlaid. This is all your
01:03vision on this one? Correct. This is totally my vision. I designed this guitar. Wow. The top was
01:10stunning. So we thought, what can we do for the back and sides? Let's make it even more stunning. So
01:14we
01:15thought this quilt of maple back sides will be fantastic. And it is. And then we rounded it out
01:23with some European flame maple bindings, a walnut neck, ebony fingerboard. Yeah. Overall, I think this
01:31is a beautiful, really beautiful, stunning guitar. It sounds really great. And it's a collectible. It's
01:40come with LR bags, Anthem pickups, so good pickups. How many pieces are being made? Well, it depends.
01:47It's going to be available for one year. So the more people are going to order it, the more will
01:52be
01:52available.
