00:00I can confirm that there is an increased police presence in Kensington Gardens and officers there
00:06are assessing a number of discarded items. As a precaution some of those officers have been
00:13deployed wearing protective clothing and we recognise that will be of concern to local
00:20residents and to the wider public. So it's important to stress that we don't believe
00:24there is any increased threat to public safety at this time and we would urge
00:28people nonetheless to avoid the area while officers carry out their work.
00:34There are cordons in place and there's no public access to Kensington Gardens and to the surrounding area.
00:42Counterterrorism Policing London are aware of a video shared online overnight in which a group
00:48claim to have targeted the nearby Embassy of Israel with drones carrying dangerous substances.
00:55And whilst we can confirm that the Embassy has not been attacked we're carrying out urgent inquiries
01:02to determine the authenticity of the video and to identify any potential link between it and the
01:08items discarded in Kensington Gardens. And of course we will provide further updates when we're able to.
